So for the people on different time zones, how do you deal with prompts if they're on a first come first serve basis? Like if someone picks a prompt and it's like, someone elses sleep time, how do they know who gets the promps?

Hey anon, that’s a great question! While prompts are claimed by authors on a first-come-first-serve basis, we do have a 24 hour wait period to allow everyone from different time zones to have a fair shot at all prompts. Basically, if someone’s interested in a prompt, they’ll post a screenshot of the prompt in our group chat, after which they need to wait 24 hours before it’s officially theirs. If someone else is also interested in that same prompt, they’ll have 24 hours to express their interest, and in that case the authors involved will get to discuss who gets it, and sometimes they’ll even decide to collab on it. Because we get so many prompts, this is rarely a problem, but it has happened before ^^

uhm idk if its just me but every time i try to go to the page to sumbit an app to be a writer the page freezes or doesnt load at all...

Opening for new casual writers!!

Are you interested in filling requested got7 fic prompts? 7fics is opening its doors again for applications! Specifically, we’re looking for new casual writers who have the time to update frequently and write a wider variety of pairings, especially those involving maknaeline!

So if you think you have the commitment and the caliber to become a 7fics writer, refer to the details below and send in your applications now! The tentative deadline for sending in an application is Saturday, Jan 13th. Depending on the number of applications we receive we may or may not extend this deadline. If you think you will need an extension, please feel free to reach out to us!

We are looking for active writers, those with the ability to commit time (preferably posting at least once every 2-3 weeks) to the blog. We’re also looking for writers who are flexible with what they write. Willingness to write maknaeline ships would be preferred but not compulsory, and the same goes for smut writing! Each application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

In your submission, please include:

1) How you’d like to be addressed, including pronouns! 2) How long you’ve been writing (for Got7 and in general). If you haven’t published fic for Got7 before, please do write a >300w drabble/oneshot for Got7 and submit the link :) 3) What pairings you’ll be willing to write. 4) If you’re willing or not to write smut. 5)  Anything you are not willing to write. 6) A link to 1 or 2 of what you think is/are your best fic(s). 7) How much time you think you’ll be able to commit/how active you will be. We are really looking for writers who will be consistently active, so please be honest with your ability to commit. 8) Frequently used form of contact (twitter, email, etc). Hey there! Thanks for checking in on us, sorry we’ve been pretty inactive lately. Personally, I’ve been so busy with starting my first year of college I honestly didn’t have time for anything so I’m totally behind on anything and everything. To be quite honest, what happened with Jonghyun hit me really hard. I was never a shawol, but I was a huge fan of Jonghyun both as a person and especially as a musician. The day I found out about his death I was supposed to be studying for my 3 finals the next day but mostly ended up crying the whole day… But I’m better now, and I’m glad he’s in a better place. I spent a lot of time this break reconsidering my career choices lol, which was soo much fun to talk to my parents about… Guess I can’t be a kpop star then! Thanks again for asking and have a happy happy new year! -Chewy

Thanks anon for checking in!  For me, winter break has just ended so classes will be resuming soon, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to find time to write a bit before things get too busy? Maybe? Otherwise, I’ve been doing well for the most part, my holidays was a combo of working and relaxing. It’s been hard to process Jonghyun’s passing. I’m far from a hardcore Shawol, but I’ve been at least a casual fan of Shinee for years, and even now it doesn’t really feel real. It’s hard to comprehend how he’s really, truly, gone, and how difficult it must’ve been for him. It’s been hard for everyone, I think. Hope you are taking care of yourself too! -TJ

Hi anon!

Unfortunately, we don’t currently do anything like that. We originally created this sideblog to be more interactive with our readers beyond prompt fills (and to keep our main blog inbox full of prompts only), so we have done fic recs in the past, which is probably the closest thing to what you’re suggesting. 

But frankly, we just don’t have time to keep up with something like that on a regular basis, and it falls beyond the scope of 7fics’ purpose as a blog ^^;; All fic recs we’ve done in the past have been initiated by individual writers, since as a whole we just focus on filling prompts that we receive. We don’t really keep up with or discuss got7 fics as a collective group, though most if not all of us do read fic on our own time.

Maybe check out got7ficrec? We aren’t affiliated with them, but they seem to be an active got7 fic rec blog that might be able to help you out!

Yes, that is totally fine! If it helps save space, you can simply number your messages by specifying the first one as 1 of 2 and the second one as 2 of 2.
