Thinking of Echo's relationship with the regs and Rex.

Echo and Rex's relationship is interesting in the sense that Echo does not have loyalty to the Republic, or even the Bad Batch. He's strictly loyal to Rex and the regs. But mostly Rex.

Like that's where his loyalty lies. If Rex asks him to jump, he'll ask how far. If there's a reg that is in trouble, he'll do what he can to move mountains to save them.

He's willing to leave his comfort and newfound "family" for Rex, even if it means he might die.

His devotion to them all is just overwhelming.

It's always so interesting because the bad batch makes a point to put Echo into this box of belonging in clone Force 99 which is inherently different than the Regs, but Echo doesn't fit in with them.

His devotion and love for the 'regs' is something that's such an interesting contrast to the narrative trying to tell us he no longer fit in with the Regs, or that the Regs would reject him.

That couldn't have been further from the truth.

All I needed was them to hug. Was that so difficult to ask for?

I know technically it should be Tech instead of Wrecker beside him but I really wanted dark armour to frame him and Tech is the problem child who picked white armour, so Wrecker it is.

I redrew this about five times but I’m really happy with how it turned out. You can always tell what are my comics because I definitely have a layout style. It���s unintentional that it matches the last comic, it was supposed to have a completely different layout but then I decided it would be less readable in that format sooooooo…now they match.

Also, Rex had Fives other vambrace if you were ever curious to where the other one was since ALL my Echo designs has one of them. Those also get to be reunited now.
