Basically, the liver is responsible for everything in your body. And it produces bile, which improves digestion, and improves your microbiome. And as you know, your microbiome has bacteria that produce serotonin, GABA, and all the other neurotransmitters. And so, if you have insufficient amounts of bile, then your microbiome will be unhealthy and you'll produce unhealthy amounts of serotonin and GABA. The digestive system/gastrointestinal system is the parts of the body that digest food that can change your mind-body connection. Digestion works by moving food through the GI tract.
