Last week, the Relief for Rafah (R4R) community kitchen provided a water truck, and cooked and distributed food for the residents of Al-Junaina, Rafah.

R4R need money to continue their efforts providing people with food, water, and medicine in Rafah. Ramadan begins tomorrow, and people need food and water to break their fasts.

Anas has gastric cancer.

Anas (@dr-anas96) is severely suicidal and is dying on the inside in every sense of the word. Mentally he feels his life is over, and physically he's barely moving anymore, only occasionally coming to consciousness and vomiting blood.

I'm begging you from the bottom of my heart not to let my friend die. This entire time, during this genocide he's living through, he's been:

Supporting his elderly parents find shelter through the collapse of their tent.

Supporting the children of Gaza by cheering them up through drawing and acting and other activities, as well as teaching them survival skills.

Corresponding and reinforcing solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, and the Black community.

Being an invaluable friend to many, including me.

Now, with some reprieve for Gazans seemingly so close, he is dying. I don't use this word lightly because I don't want to believe my dear friend is dying. I am only saying it because I have no escape from believing it

But I still have hope that we can carry him through this so he can see the end of this difficult road. I am not giving up on him and I'm begging, begging, begging, begging you all not to give up either. We're so close.

Housing Emergency

I will put this out there because life has been awful, and I have nothing to lose. For the past few months, I have been staying with a friend rent-free while I get my life together mentally and financially. They recently lost their job, and I've been in and out of the hospital due to recent redacted attempts. They are behind with their housing and are asking me for help to make half the money. We are currently behind by about $3200 and they have asked me for help with $1600. I need to come up with my have in a few days.

I’ve been getting denied for payday loans and the options 211 gave me haven’t been successful. Hoping for a miracle here, because I need one so bad at this moment. If you want to help a Black genderfluid person during Black history month, I’d be grateful.

Imagine that your dreams are now worth a cup of coffee. We asked Gazan students what their dreams are for the future and that is what they said. Mahmoud, a survivor of the genocide, still holds onto his dreams, a has great hopes of fulfilling them, despite what he's been through. It's astonishing, the degree of ambition that students who've lost everything carry into a clouded and uncertain future. Students who've lost their houses, have been displaced multiple times, have lost loved ones, are struggling to even apply to college, whose daily struggles consist of finding power to study on electronic devices, on top of the endless queues for bread and water, being the sole provider their family... numerous struggles but a shared pain, and yet, they have hope for the future. This is a generation of young students who deserve all our support and all our efforts, and whom we must never stop rallying for, sharing their pain with the world, and striving for them to reach their goals and to graduate. This is a generation that has been abandoned to death for 15 months and yet they have not abandoned their goals, and so we must not abandon them. Don't they deserve your attention? Say you have 10 dollars and you've decided to get coffee. You might say you've lost 10 dollars, but an economist will tell you that not only have you lost those 10 dollars, but you've also lose whatever else might've been gotten with those 10 dollars had you not spent them on coffee. Of course, this is just an example, but in economics, loss isn't just what you pay; it's also the loss of the other opportunities that could have been. And time is the most squandered resource of them all. Please share the link with those interested in supporting a Palestinian student; maybe a small motion that you don't feel will become a great positive step for our ambitious students.
