Tani couldn’t help laughing softly. “Oh I already planned on bringing an extra fire extinguisher over just in case. With our luck, that would happen.” She knew how unpredictable things could be in their line of work especially around the holidays.

“You’re going to make me hungry. Hey, maybe you could make some of your family’s dishes. It would be fun and at least you would still get to have them in a way.” She suggested to him.

Her fingers tucked her hair behind her ear. “They’re having a dinner at the rehab Koa works at so he’ll be spending the holiday there. He promised to come spend time with me for Christmas though.”

“I overheard Steve and Lou discussing Turkey prep. Should we be scared that Steve is considering deep frying?” Her brows raised. “Danny, if you want to go to Jersey to see your family, you should go. We can distract Steve.” Tani assured him with a smile. They all knew full well how much of a family man Danny was and would never fault him for wanting to spend the holiday in Jersey with his family.

"I get Grace for Christmas this year, but that means she's with her mom on Thanksgiving. So now I have to decide what's less of a headache. Not going home to Jersey to see my folks and sisters and spend a whole three day weekend getting cursed out through the phone by angry Italian- New Jersian women or deal with Steve checking up on me every thirty minutes telling me information I about neighbors I forgot about that he's stalked because he likes to control far too much of my life like that."

Mainly guns as part of her job. She will also use use her body and fight if she has to. She uses them to both attack and defend. Tani has good aim and she is decent at fighting.

Tani kissed him back happily. “You’re welcome. Good. That’s just what I wanted to hear. So what would you like to do first, birthday boy?”

“Happy Birthday to my favorite Halloween treat!”

Jack smiled widely and pulled Tani in for a deep kiss, "Thanks, babe! And so long as the crime on the island can remain at a minimum...I'm all yours all Hallows Eve!"

Tani smiled at him. “My lips are sealed.” She giggled softly. The people that mattered knew he was only scary when he had to be anyway.

“Hmm, I don’t know. Furthest I’ve ever got with a guy toys wise was cuffs. I have an open mind though, babe.”

“That was actually kind of sweet. Fuzzy and sturdy it is then.” She smiled and browsed one of the shelves. “Roleplaying costumes could be fun. Oh yeah?” Tani kissed him back happily. Of course she pulled back before they could get too carried away in the store.

“I’d happily be your Empress or whatever else you wanted me to be.” The brunette giggled softly at him. She continued to peruse the shop’s offerings. “How do you feel about toys?”

She agreed and sent the information to Jerry. “Uh yeah, he should. Let me look around.” Tani searched the living room, but couldn’t find the laptop. She checked the rest of his home and finally found it. Bringing it out to the living room, she turned it on.

Tani inserted the USB stick. She took a deep breath when a folder popped up. “It looks like the camera really did get the footage.” She pressed play. “Koa let this guy in. He recognizes him. See there? The guy is nervous. Oh god. Well at least he didn’t hurt Koa too much. I think he sedated him.” Shaking her head, she forward the footage to Jerry. “Jack, look, after Koa is sedated, the mystery guy still looks nervous.”

Tani nodded her head as she listened to him. She looked through her brother’s phone. Her number had been the last one to call him and there didn’t seem to be any suspicious numbers in the call log. “They’re going to wish they didn’t when I’m done with them.” She remarked as she opened his text messages. “Hey, there’s a message from a number here asking if they could come over. It’s not in his contacts and no name is mentioned.”

She showed it to Jack. “Doesn’t seem hostile in text, at least.” Tani noted then glanced around the room. “Wait, something is off.” She couldn’t quite put her finger on what though. Then she saw it. Tani walked over to the bookshelf and picked up a little teddy bear that had a surfboard.

The brunette squeezed it lightly and then her eyes widened. “Koa, you genius.” She turned to Jack and held up the bear. “My brother had a hidden camera.” She pointed out. “Long story short, after he first started working at the rehab center, we ended up with a case there after he brought it to our attention. He wasn’t involved thankfully. After it was wrapped up, I made Koa promise to stay safe.” Tani explained. “They have a better security system at the center now. It figures he’d put a camera in here. The surfboard. He knew I’d notice it.”

Tani kissed him back and grinned softly. “Really? I’m proud of you for at least trying. You’ll have to let me know how it goes.” Her words were sincere and it was clear that she was truly interested in his progress. “Oh yeah? You could do anything with firefighters and some Hawaiian Aunties on your side.” She giggled softly.

“Hey, you do contribute. You’re my taste tester and you make sure I make recipes right.” She assured him. “I get it though. I know your Dad would love to cook with you one day.”

“I like the cookouts too. They really made me feel like part of the team after I got hired.” Tani admitted with a soft smile.

“I love the way you think. Sounds like a plan. Oh yeah? I think we would too.” She smiled giggling softly at him. His enthusiasm was adorable.

“Yeah that sounds about right. I’m glad that you want to work through it and I’ll help in any way that I can.” Tani assured him. “Yes! We totally should. I’ll add them to the list.”

Thankfully it wasn’t busy in the shop at that moment. Granted, they were adults, but the idea of Steve or Danny finding out she was in here with Jack would make her feel mortified, at least. Especially since Steve is Jack’s dad.

“At least it helps that we already know what we have tried.” The brunette glanced around. “I suppose new cuffs wouldn’t hurt. Should we go fuzzy or regular?” She giggled softly. Her gaze turned toward the shelf with the various cuffs.
