damian wayne who knows exactly how he was born, who knows that his father never gave talia his consent nevermind had any interest in having a child with her, damian who feels guilty because he still can't bring himself to hate the woman who raised him even knowing what she did, who feels guilty nearly every time his father shows him any form of love because how could he love a constant reminder of what was done to him? damian doesnt think he would be able to so how does bruce do it so easily?

but Bruce doesnt care how damian came into this world or who his mother is, he just knows that damian is his blood, his only son. all his kids were growing up and leaving home, tim was 17 and although he was still very much there, he knew tim had the resources to find his own home the second he turned 18, and alfred was getting older, bruce knew that he was strong but even the strongest have to die eventually. bruce was terrified he would be left alone.

so when this little 10 year old boy, who was definitely smaller than he should have been by that age, showed up on his door step claiming his son bruce had to fight to urge to cry, it barely took one look to know that damian was his, sure there were differences, his eyes were his mothers and his skin was darker than bruces due to his mothers heritage but none of that mattered. because he was his son. he had another kid with him and he was beyond happy that it was his blood.

given his age he wasn't planning on taking in anymore children, nevermind someone so young, but who could say no to this little boy infront of him, with big wide eyes and a scowl that only further solidified that he was batman's son. how could bruce possibly say no to his blood? especially when it was so cute?
