Sidelined: The QB and Me | Movie Review

It's not the best teen romance movie I've ever seen, but it's also not the worst. I'd say it's better than The Kissing Booth but on the same level as To All The Boys I've Loved Before if not a little worse. The romance itself didn't carry this movie. Instead, what carried this movie were the uplifting dance scenes and Noah Beck's hotness (I'm not even kidding lol). The main plot revolves around both the FMC and the MMC's struggle of being in a relationship while also making important decisions about college, so it only gets so interesting. Some parts were really cringey too more than I expected, and I've seen A LOT OF CRINGEY MOVIES. It's a very basic plot, so I'm not sure why Wattpad chose to adapt this story into a movie when I'm sure there are much more unique stories on their platform to choose from. (it's probably because they only have enough money to film low budget movies; therefore, they can only adapt stories with the most basic of plots)
