Album review:  Zvezda po imeni Solntse (The star called Sun) by Kino release: 1989 Genre:  Soviet-rock, Post-punk, new wave, gothic-rock Tracks:  1."Песня без слов" (Song Without Words) - 10/10 2."Звезда по имени Солнце" (Star Called Sun) - 10/10    3."Невесёлая песня" (Unhappy Song) - 10/10 4."Сказка" (Tale) - 10/10 5."Место для шага вперёд" (Space for a Step Forward) - 10/10 6. "Пачка сигарет" (Pack of Cigarettes) - Personal favorite track -10/10 7. "Стук" (Knock) - 10/10  8. "Печаль" (Sadness) - 10/10 9. "Апрель" (April) - 10/10 Overall rating: Flawless 10/10 Notes: This album just really hits me in the soul, hell most of Viktor Tsoi’s (RIP) music gets me in the feels. If you couldn’t tell the band Kino was a Russian new-wave band they began in 1982 and disbanded in 1990 after the tragic death of front man Viktor Tsoi. Viktor was the voice of young Russian teens and adults that were growing up in the rough times of the Soviet Union, there is currently a mural of Viktor on a wall in Moscow. Do yourself a favor and listen to this album. the moping sifting acoustic, unfortunate sadness of the electric guitar, dreary hanging strings of the bass, the low emotionless drums, and Viktor’s deep worn voice all come together to make a masterpiece, this is Zvezda po imeni Solntse (The star called Sun). Viktor Tsoi Forever

Album Review: Spiritual Healing by Death Genre: Death metal/Technical Death metal  Tracks: 1. Living Monstrosity 10/10  2. Altering the Future 10/10 (Favorite track) 3. Defensive Personalities 9/10 4. Within the Mind 10/10  5. Spiritual Healing 10/10 (This track kicks serious ass) 6. Low Life 9/10 7. Genetic Reconstruction 9/10 8. Killing Spree 10/10  Overall score: 10/10
Notes: Spiritual Healing is fucking amazing, start to finish is just pure metal madness. The takes Chuck Schuldiner (RIP) has on this album are just stellar, the bone cracking drums will rattle your skull, face melting riffs that will turn you into goo, spine splitting solos that will rip your fucking head off, this album has it all. I urge you to listen to this album and if you already have listen to it again. I’d like to read your feed back if you have any.
