I've been replaying X and i realized that Team Flare would have been a hell of a lot more interesting if theyd been written like an actual cult and behaved as such-and then i had the thought that the rival would have been MUCH more interesting if their implied insecurity about always losing allowed Lysandre to get in their head and control them, and you had to intervene and deprogram them.
