Life alone is a beautiful thing. When we’re forced to add college, homework, a job, a social life, etc onto it, things become complicated and sometimes stressful. Everyday is a different day that can come with its own leaps and hurdles but somehow, we each make it to the end of the day, together.

1. What has been the hardest thing about starting school back?

The hardest thing for me since starting school would be balance. It’s hard to balance between spending genuine time with God, school work, work, campus involvement, friends, family, and sleep. -Deseree

The hardest part of starting school again is getting back into the same routine and having to wake up early. -Jada

The hardest thing for me has honestly been maintaining good mental health. Sometimes its hard to say no and decide to stay in. Or its hard not to stress and freak out over assignments thats due on the same day. It’s been hard for me to work and go to school while getting enough sleep and eating decent meals. -Amanda

2. What has been the best thing about starting school back?

The best thing would be, being able to hang out with the people I missed over the summer. Taking advantage of my platform to labor for the Lord. -Deseree

The best thing is that I actually get to see and hang out with friends again. -Jada

The best thing is having new experiences and meeting new people, whether I like them or not. -Amanda

3. What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekend?

Catching up on sleep, finding random stuff to do with friends, and trying new places around the city. -Deseree

My favorite thing to do on the weekend is to relax and do homework, but mainly sleep. -Jada

To sleep, chill, eat (good), and go on adventures. #KeysToLife -Amanda

4. What’s your favorite day of the week?

Friday -Deseree

My favorite day of the week is Friday because I only have one class thats early in the morning, therefore I have the rest of the day to chill and hang out with Friends. -Jada

My favorite day of the week is definitely Sunday. Church + Food = Its legit then it just comes with a super chill vibe and thats just something that I need in my life. Forever and always. -Amanda

5. Any advice on starting school back?

My advice would be to create a schedule and stick to it so you won't be lost on what work you're supposed to do and you can be able to put in time to relax without stressing about assignments. -Jada

I definitely agree with Jada. Making a schedule is a MAJOR KEY 🔑 like organization helps everything flow. I would also say, take time for yourself. Stay in, go on a lunch date, take a nap. Try to learn yourself and realize the things that you need to change to be the person you want to be. -Amanda

6. Goals for this semester?

I really want to be successful in spreading the work and being a mentor. Ohhh and making good grades. -Deseree

My goal for this semester is to keep my grades up so I can continue to succeed and excel in my classes. -Jada

To get at LEAST a 3.8 GPA and make a positive difference in someone’s life. -Amanda

7. Favorite part of this weekend?

My favorite part of the weekend was being able to link up and be carefree with my friends. -Jada

The best part of this weekend was the fried okra, it was sent from heaven. -Amanda

Meatloaf, smothered chicken (with a side of rice), fried chicken, catfish, cornbread, sweet potato corn bread, greens, yams, butter beans... probably some more stuff but that’s all I could think about.
