Shannon almost loses her breath.

She stops the kisses earlier to control her breath and her heart beat.

Vernon realises that he can't control himself. Their forehead meets each other. Skin to skin.

Though, Vernon's lips still kisses Shannon on the cheek and jaw. Randomly, his lips moves to kiss her chin.

As he goes down to kiss her tiny shoulder skin. Vernon lifts up his head to kiss her lips as it is deeper than before.

It is their first kiss that will never been planned before. Even if their meet wouldn't be planned.

Either fall in love. It is such unplanned and unexpectedly to fall in love with someone new.

Vernon ended up the kisses before he did something cross the line.

His eyes still stucks on Shannon,

as Shannon slowly is opening her eyes. They smile to each other with her hands still on his chest.

Along with his hands are circling around her waist.

"This knight has just rescued me."

Shannon said and chuckled.

She touches the armor steal on his chest.

"I do think so." Vernon smirks at her.

"At least, I feel so lucky to have you right now." Shannon totally knew that she broke the rules, but she felt happier to be with Vernon.

As the American guy grabs her hand and kisses it softly.

"Only for tonight! You can hide from them with me."

"How about tomorrow?" Shannon asked in hopefully.

Vernon got silence for a seconds to think the best answer.

He is worried about his decision.

It's like he had just taken the girl who should become the wife of someone else.

Vernon thought how evil he was, however Shannon was the future wife of Aron Kwak.

But, Shannon did choose Vernon.

"If your parents still force you.

I will go there to face them and to make sure them."

It might be weird for someone like Vernon to do that. Because, he had never been in relationship before.

But, now he will try for it, even though it has such a big risk.

"Then, what if they will reject you?"

"I will take you away from here." Vernon said with his serious stares. But, Shannon won't give up to make sure about him.

"What if they found me and punished me? What would you do?"

"I'd rather die to prove how great is my love for you." Shannon got dumbfounded after she heard that.

That girl chuckled.

"But if I die, with whom you'll be?"

The question is actually confussing him. She is right.

If he died, with whom she would be?

Vernon gives his hug to Shannon for the first time. He holds her back like he had never been hugged before.

"I'd rather to die with you.." he whispered to her.

Shannon who's still running, then she stops immediately. She doesn't see Vernon at behind her anymore.

"Vernon? Vernon.. Where are you?" her head goes round to find that tall American guy.

But, then his presence is surprisingly her by giving back hug for that British girl. And, Vernon pushes her softly to the corner of the wall of the house, near the Gazebo.

"I got you." Vernon smiles satisfied as his voice sound soft and deep, which it's very calming to be heard through her ears.

His effort will not be failed to take the masquerade off of her face.

He softly opens it and her hand follows automatically to open his silver masquerade too.

They stare each other after their each masks have been removed from yheir face. Both of Shannon and Vernon seem awkward.

Vernon chooses to see Shannon without masquerade.

She is so gorgeous and sweet even more. If her face was being covered with the mask, she would be look a like mysterious and cold girl.

She has that couple brown eyes, those eyes are not really big, pointy nose and slightly chubby cheeks.

How adorable she is!

The first impression of Shannon towards Vernon is.. Vernon is more handsome than Aron Kwak, he got that strong jaw and sharp chin.

He has pointy nose also, couple of hazel eyes that could make the girls drown in love to him.

Though, Shannon seems doubt to say of her impression towards his face.

"Hmm... I'm absolutely sure that mostly women might be drown to you." she whispered in British accent as it tickled Vernon's ears.

He loves that deep and nasal voice with that accent.

How sexy it is!

"Why do you think so?"

"Well you have beautiful eyes. Women can't get over this look.

But, I thought you seemed so cold."

Shannon was right.

No need to know him more but she knows the figure of Vernon, which is easy to be guessed.

"What if I say men will drown to you easily?"

"May I know the reason why did you think that way?" Shannon asked him back as the same question like Vernon did it to her before.

"Because the way you talk is very adorable and.."

Vernon has not finished with his words as he made his face close to her beautiful face.

The close distance between them along with the silence and the sound of heart beat from each other.

"And.. What?" Shannon asked him again, as she ditched the silence between her and Vernon.

"And... Crushable?" Vernon got his destination to kiss Shannon on her lips. It's their first kiss.

But when they have their kisses for a seconds. A limousine comes to the house area.

Luckily, Shannon has not closed her eyes perfectly and she slowly pushes Vernon.

"They're coming!" Shannon said a bit panic and Vernon could see it through her face.

Slowly Shannon pulls Vernon to leave the place and moves to the grass walls.

They're hiding inside the room of leaves. She won't let her parents, Aron Kwak and even Aron's parents see her with another guy.

In fact, her parents doesn't even know her currently existence.

Shannon who is still peeping through the gap of the green walls to see Aron who is still there. He seems like he is ready to meet Shannon in there.

And, also she found her parents along with her bodyguard to greeting Kwak's family.

But then Vernon suddenly turns back the position of her body, as he continues his unfinished kisses with Shannon. Because of the Kwak family's limousine broke the moment between them.

"Cursed you bloody limousine!" Vernon cursed on his mind.

Vernon slowly stops the kisses after he crushes her pretty lips.

"You don't have to care about someone that will never care about you. It is better for you to follow your heart. Isn't that what you want?"

Shannon hasn't answered it yet. But then Vernon goes back to 'attack' her lips with his intimate kisses.

Although both of them just knew each other, Shannon and Vernon had been stucked and felt comfort to stick together.

All this time Shannon and Vernon had never been felt this heart beat before.

They had never been like this.

It was their first time to fall in love to each other.

When the love grows inside each hearts without estimate time.

As it makes Shannon think that she will be better to spend her night to kissing with Vernon instead of being forced to dance with Aron.

With the fakeness that she had prepared and pretended to be happy in front of Aron and her parents.

That British girl really enjoys her kisses with Vernon which is starting very smooth, as it turns to be more passionate.

"You know, you don't have to stalk me because I just want to leave this place. As soon as possible." that mysterious girl cut his words with a tone that sounds obviously she is feeling upset.

Her accent sounds very far from American. Vernon has just realised that she is not an American.

"Excuse me?" Vernon knows she wants to leave this party. He thinks

he has the same thought as her.

But, what does she mean from the last sentence? Is she the only guest who feel excommunicated by the other guests? Or..

"Because this is the place where I'm living and where I supposed to leave."

Vernon nods slowly and gulps.

He totally understands that girl is the daughter of the hosts.

"Okay, so what makes you have a thought to leave your own home?"

It is very hard to read this mysterious girl because her face is still covered with her masquerade.

She just keeps circling Vernon without saying anything. Then, she finally stops and faces him.

"I don't want to be paired."

Since both of them got anxious and bored towards the party. Vernon and Shannon Cressida Williams decides to danced at Gazebo which is near postern door of Williams house.

Her name sounds gorgeous and the middle of her name, which it has the meaning behind of mythology from Shakespeare creation.

As the music from the house inside could be heard from the outside to accompanist them to dance.

Vernon thought how stupid he was. Because, he didn't realise that he just chased a daughter of Williams family who would be paired with Aron Kwak.

"I have told them that I really object thia matchmaker. But, they forced me with reason of the goodness for family name. I have no choice except obey it."

"Are they living in 80s era? Even if forced matchmaker is still apply for them." Vernon said in his thoughts.

"But, when my mum and dad started their speech as the opening of this event. Suddenly I felt like a fool.

I chose to not follow of what I want and always depend on my parents."

He knows how bitter Shannon feels that she should be forced to marry the sin of conglomerate.

But, there is no love from Shannon to given for Aron Kwak.

"I understand.. Every marriage that will be done should be based on love that we have. Also the power of trust to keep relationship and build a family." Shannon nodded in agreement at his statement.

That's impossible for Shannon to marry Aron without the love, even though there would be a life guarantee for Shannon and her future children.

"They always think that... Love isn't always giving happiness." Shannon said as she smiled bitterly.

"So that's it. Life is fulled by bitter and sweet, tears and happiness, either love and hate. Life is beautiful, isn't it?" Shannon nodded as her smile turned to sweet

"If the love will not always give us happiness, but mostly love brings the shade how sweet life is." Vernon smiled as he never smiled that way before. After he heard that sweet and poetics words from Shannon.

It sounded like she restated it from Shakespeare romantism poetry.

They stopped their movement of the dance and began to stare each other, as it started from Vernon. It made Shannon hard to speak up of what she felt.

About something was circling around her heart. Is it impossible for a cold guy like Vernon to fall in love instantly?

He can't stop to stare at Shannon who seems nervous because of his stares. Vernon can feel his heart beated as it keeps on going. Either Shannon feels that warm sense on her cheeks along with her heartbeat.

Both of his hands lift up to her face, Vernon intends to open her white mask but quickly Shannon took a step back away from him.

And, again.. She runs from that guy.

"Okay, where are you going?" Vernon chuckled as he chased her who ran circling the garden.

Both of them laugh and Vernon still chase her, while surrounds the spacious garden. As they feel the cool sensation of the wind in the night blow their skin.

The American guy feels absolutely bored to hear their big speech as the core of the event. So, Vernon tells Kyle that he wants to walk around to get fresh air.

He past some ladies who still guided some snacks, foods, and drinks.

One of the lady offers one of those to him but Vernon just smiles and shakes his head politely.

"No, thank you."

He lost his appetite when his mood changed. If only Kyle was not his best friend, he would leave Kyle here and go home to sleep.

Vernon keeps surrounding the room that seems like a living room.

His eyes try to lookㅡpeep into the living room carefully.

But, he only found that opened living room from further and he can see a slight as the shadow of the aquarium in front of him.

The aquarium seems so wide and long, as it is almost close to the gap to enter the living room. Vernon thinks that he will peep on it.

But, he removes away his thought as the shadow of the girl that coincidentally watches the fishes swim in the aquarium.

Vernon slightly can see her through the glass of the aquarium.

She's beautiful.

He can see it from the way she smiles. Her face is covered with her white masquerade with decoration of blink around her masquerade.

At first, her eyes on the fishes but now that surprisingly mysterious guy replaces her eyes to stare at him.

Vernon doesn't know what is happening to him. But, Vernon also doesn't even blink his eyes to face his opponent. There is only one question about this.

What is she doing in William family's living room?

Even if he forgot to count how long he stared at the girl without blinking. The beat of his heart feels so unusual.

As it is just like that, Vernon smiles slightly to her. He feels different about himself.

The girl smiles back at Vernon, and again his heart beats so fast.

He feels warm in his chest when she smiles back to him.

"Are you looking for something inside that aquarium, sir?" Vernon shocks as he quickly turns his head to one of the lady.

He becomes stuttered to answer as he gives such a simple lies to answer.

He thought he just got caught by the lady to steal the fishes of the aquarium.

"No. Nothing. I was just... Watching the fishes!" Vernon forces his giggle, then he goes back to his previous position.

Vernon takes a deep breath slowly but the girl has just gone!

"Where is she?" He slightly shocks. Again.

Then, Vernon found the gape to enter living room without door. But when he goes to get inside the room, a foot step shocks his ears.

There she is!

She stares at Vernon, as she just comes out from from the balcony. Vernon doesn't even know, how can she comes out from the balcony?

Vernon takes a glance to that spacious balcony so he thinks that girl probably went through the door of the opened living room, which was connected with the balcony.

The thing that's actually confussing Vernon, that mysterious girl who seems like an angel runs after him.

Vernon suddenly chases that girl who wears an ordinary white gown.

But, she still looks beautiful and graceful with it.

He also found dove wings on her back.

Like an angel..

"Hey, wait!" as it is seen from behind, she has a long straight hair with brownish colour, and half of her hair is being tied untightly with white ribbon.

Vernon won't stop. He doesn't understand either why he chases her.

In fact, he just past through the crowd of the guests who seem busy to talk, dance, etc. Luckily, that boring speech has just ended up so Vernon will not making unrest things with that girl.

Running like childish thingy. Fortunately, that girl doesn't wear high heels so she can run easily.

Vernon stops then he breathes uncontrolly, while he holds both of his thighs. He's totally tired after chasing that mysterious girl, until he found a garden of this house.

See!

Even the garden looks so big and large with green grass walls around. All the grass walls tall enough to protect this house from the thief.

"She's weird. Why did she run away just like that? Now where did she go?" Vernon straighten his body with his head still goes round and round to find the girl.

Then, he finally caught the figure of her who is just sneaking into the "room" between the green walls,

as the room shaped full of leaves.

That guy takes his step and gets inside to the "room of leaves", which it seems a bit dark but the moonlight and a few of garden lamps shine inside the room of leaves.

He finally found the girl who's currently backing him with her white dove wings.

"Why are you even here?" asked the girl with her flat reaction.

She sounds a bit cold and sharp.

It makes his mouth got locked. It feels difficult to find the answer.

Party isn't right choice for Vernon. But, Kyle forced Vernon to accompany him. Kyle is his best friend who is the one who got invited by Williams family to this prom night.

Along with matchmaking for their one and only daughterㅡwith the son of conglomerate family.

His name is Aron Kwak.

Vernon holds himself to be more patient. Let the girls who still stared at him while held their glass.

It is filled with the liquid coloured reddish violet, grape sparkling juice.

They stare at him unstoppably, although his face is being covered with masquerade silver coloured.

As it has the same colour with his armor steal that he uses on his elbow, his wrist and his shoulder.

Based on dress code as Dashing Knight.

"Kyle, I can't stand here anymore!" Vernon whispered discomfortly to Kyle. Because, he got so many stares on him by unknown flirty girls who seem wanted to talk to him.

That night, Kyle who wears his vampire costume as his dress code for his costume. White t-shirt, it is covered with black tuxedo, and he wears black trouser. Either his light brown contact lense shines his eyes, as his face covered with black masquerade.

Kyle just waves lazily his hand to Vernon. He's being busy to talk with his close friend whom Vernon never known yet.

Both of Vernon and Kyle are 23 age young men who have been tied their friendship, since they were child.

Kyle who seems so enthusiastic to enjoy and follow the party. He only wants to see Aron Kwak, also some of his relations of Williams as a noble family from England.

Lucky him that KylaㅡKyle's sister isn't here with him. If Kyla comes with them, she will drag Vernon to taste so many foods.

So, she will not feel that bored.

She dislikes party just like Vernon. But, as long as food avails. Actually, Kyle will be absolutely mad if he found Kyla consumed so many sweets.

However, she needs to take care for her weight body.

Sometimes both of Vernon and Kyla can be compete to each other.

That's why Kyle trusts on Vernon to take care for Kyla.

Unfortunately, Vernon never thought to date Kyla. He already took on Kyla as his younger sister.

After Kyle talks with his friend and let Vernon stucks inside his boring atmosphere, that guy with his vampire figure finally embraces Vernon.

"Why do you want to meet with that son of conglomerate so much?"

Kyle seems not surprised by the way Vernon reacts it when his mood just got ruined.

"Well you know I am from business administration major on college, right? I heard he is a part of young businessman. So it could be counted as a chance of mine to get a job."

Vernon already knew so long about Kyle who wanted to have and join to the other business.

But, to make your dream come true isn't easy. Kyle can only work as an admin in a small company temporary.

With almost enough salary!

But, of course Kyle wants it more.

"You can also start your business by selling your famous brand shoes." stated Vernon carelessly.

He sprightly takes a glass of grape juice from the lady who just past with a tray.

"I'm bored to do it. I also want to try to join to big company!" as Vernon just goes to sip his grape juice.

"Well it is counted as... I want to find a girl to know each other."

"There are so many girls around here. If you can, you should talk to them to know them, instead of let me to face them." Vernon points to those flirty girls.

"Why must be them? Weren't they keep on staring at you?" Kyle mocked back at Vernon.

Then, Vernon just shrugs.

"Don't deny it that way, Vern. If you keep being like this, when will you have a couple? You're always being cold whenever you face women.

Since senior high school, man!

Like seriously?!" Vernon is indeed such a cold type.

Most girls in his school had a crush on Vernon. Unfortunately, he never gave any chance to one of them.

"It's just... I don't know how to face them. I don't even know what should I say to them. All this time I ignored-"

"It's not because that you don't know. But, you indeed don't like all of them." Kyle cut his words.

"Try to be warm and be friendly guy! I'm sure you will find the girl that you like. Tonight, if you can."

Kyle said whilst he sips back his grape without cares at Vernon's cold reaction.

Two couple who stand above the stage as the host. The woman right next to the man, suddenly makes a clinking sound of the spoon, which knocks the glass.

They are Brad Williams and Sonna Williams.

"Good evening to all ladies and gentleman. I would like to say thank you for your presents and based on invitation, your existence such a meaningful to be presented for us.

So, we.."

"Wow! There must the parents of the girl whom will be paired with Aron Kwak, right?" Kyle nudges Vernon softly.

"You're right. The life of nobles."
