Everyone is always "Malinois, Malinois," but you can have lots of fun with just... nice friend likes doing things dog. Havanese are good for this, Tollers, Icelandic Sheepdogs are kind of trendy for it right now. Companion breeds are really underrated.

Part of the reason I love owning high drive dogs is because doing silly, just for fun training is relaxing for me. So after a long day when I ask my dogs if they want to play and train, it's nice to get an enthusiastic yes.

I don't need to do a lot of engagement games or building up motivation. The second I touch the clicker or pick up the training pouch or grab a toy it's game on.

It's the same as people who turn on music and dance around while nobody is watching to unwind. I've just added a dog who is happy to follow my impromptu lead and join me as I shake out the stress.

We unwind the same way and it's just nice.
