Ever have the experience where the less you care about something, the more likely you are to get it? Confidence comes from a comfort with failure, so paradoxically, the more comfortable you become with failure, the more likely you are to experience success.

Things I want to save up for
Rent - this is a scam, I have a decent house.
What's the point of living at home if you can't even save up. This is the same amount of rent I was paying in HSR. Balls.
DSLR - this is also a scam because you can take videos and learn shit online.

Working out
Gosh, didn't start my day working out and I am not getting that post-work out endorphins.
I wish I didn't have work and could focus on myself and my hobbies more but it is what it is!

Happiness
What is happiness and how to get it? The story of a rodent's unrelenting quest for happiness and fulfillment.
In this YouTube video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9dZQelULDk you can see that the rat is exposed to different forms of happiness in a capitalistic society which is what every metropolistic city is like in the modern era. He is exposed to consumerism (shopping in the form of a Black Friday sale where people are fighting over the goods on discount) , billboards everywhere try to convince you that if you buy their thing it will give you happiness (food brands, movies, etc)
He finally buys a really nice car and he can not enjoy that too because there is a lot of traffic in the city and he cannot go ahead, repair costs are high and there is vandalism so people spray paint his car. He is bombarded with parking tickets and bad weather too.
Too remove his sadness he is convinced to drown his sorrows in alcohol and once that gets too addictive, the depression medication is the only thing that can provide him the so called "happiness" back again/
That medicine provides him momentary high and he goes back into a slump of depression again. Back to reality.
Finally the last straw is he chases money. Everyone says money buys you happiness. But does it really? He ends up sitting in a corporate job, just a cog in the wheel to satisfy his consumerism and sustain his happiness in this capitalistic society.
One point to note is when he was chasing the money and then the money is in the elevator next to him he doesn't react to grab it. it's very similar to how we really want the things we don't have, but once we have them they become less important.

Best composers of all time (Part 1)
‘Making decisions concerning the “greatest” this or that is always problematic'
Can one really compare figures who were writing music 800 years apart? Or weigh the intricate craftmanship of a two-minute piano piece up against the grand vision that goes into a four-hour opera?
To clarify things, we set out the criteria for greatness as follows:
originality – to what extent did your chosen composers take music in new and exciting directions?
impact – how greatly did they influence the musical scene both in their own lifetime and in years/centuries to come?
craftmanship – from a technical point of view, how brilliantly constructed is their music?
sheer enjoyability – quite simply, how much pleasure does their music give you?
I will be sharing the list of the greatest composers in the next post. Stay tuned!
