Sorry I’ve been MIA! the katsucrunch is kicking in pretty hard but i’ve been working hard too! The only cosplay Ithat’s 100% finished so far is Taiga, so here’s the work in progress pictures

From left to right, top to bottom:

1. Simplicity’s bunnysuit pattern by Effysewscosplay cut out

2. The pattern not fitting at all (even though it was the smallest size…)

3. Making a duct tape pattern of myself for a perfect fit

4. Testing and adjusting the fit of my own pattern with a muslin mockup with a zipper inserted

5. cut and sew 3 layers of fabric- Outside fabric, interlining, and lining layers

6. Inside view of the interlining with boning inserted. I used 14 pieces of ¼ inch spiral steel boning and ½ inch boning casing for this suit.

7. dyeing the fabric to the right color, my first time using polyester dye!

8. Bunnysuit completed! I sewed the outer fabric to the linterlining, inserted the zipper, and then sewed both of those right sides together to the lining. For this suit, I inserted the breast cups inbetween the fabric and the interlining. For the leg holes, I pinned the edges of the fabric together while it was on me and then carefully stiched it together.

9. Ears, cuffs, collar, bow, and tail attached.The ears have interfacing on both layers of fabric and floral wire bent inside of it to keep it flexible but hold shape when it needs to. The wire goes under the headband it’s attached to and the headband stabs into my wig to support the weight and balance the ears. The collar and cuffs are also interfaced, and they attach by snaps (the button on the cuffs are decorative). The tail is attached by two velcro pieces sewed on the tail and on either side of the zipper.

duct tape mockup is a huge success (the part near the zipper that’s buckling won’t be an issue once I put the boning in so no worries)!! now to cut out 5 more of these 🙃 also sorry almost all my cosplay wip photos are half naked mirror selfies lol???? I had a close rl friend tell me they had to unfollow me on instagram recently because it was getting weird LMAO SORRY DUDE but then again if you have a problem with the human body then idk how to help you

This duct tape combo is cracking me up I look like a hot wheels car personified 🔥 But anyways I did it!! I duct taped myself a bunny suit pattern! It was pretty tough doing it alone but I prevailed ✌️ Hoping to make up for lost time tonight, aiming to cut out all the pieces (fabric, lining, interlining) and dye the fabric before the morning 👍👍👍 #cosplaywip #Katsuconcrunch

Oooo sorry but I don’t really know!! tbh the fabric I used for my Sonic scarf was just left over fabric from my Love Live cosplay. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s about 3 yards long

Hello~ May I ask what material you used to make the metal parts of Sonic's ninja outfit? Awesome cosplay by the way!

Hello! I actually answered this question before, but I’ll copy and paste it here for you :> But anyways thank you so much!! 

For most of my armour I made it from 6mm craft foam purchased from this ebay seller  but for the arm bands I used 4mm craft foam because 6mm looked a little too bulky on my arms. I just cut out strips, bent them into shape with the help of a heat gun, and then coated them with a mix of white glue and water to seal it. I hot glued googly eyes onto the foam for the rivets and then just sprayed everything with Rust-oleum metallic finish spray paint in chrome! It’s then attached to my bodysuit with velcro.

In general, some advice I would give would be to take your time sealing the craft foam, I tried to take a shortcut and I didn’t dilute the glue enough so when it dried it was a lumpy…

I met @dejavudea at animeUSA and she was soooo so so nice!!! I’ve been watching her videos for YEARS hoping one day to meet her at a convention and when I went to the DTP gathering Saturday night she came up to me and asked to take a picture of my Maki cosplay I was so shocked and happy 😭😭😭 she gave me one of her bracelets too I’m never going to take out off

While I’m still recovering from an amazing experience at AnimeUSA I’ve got to get prepared for #nekocon this weekend! I’m taking it easy this con with 3 costumes so I can focus on taking more pictures 👍✨ Looking forward to meeting people there!
