Christmas flew by. I was stressing out about my pending tasks at work on Monday, December 23, and now it's already Thursday, December 26... It was raining the past two days so it wasn't really Christmassy.

But then, I thought to myself this morning, that it may not have been an 'ideal' Christmas, where everything looked or felt cozy and festive, but it's a quiet and peaceful one. I have my family with me. We are well and safe. We are comfortable at home. We have food on the table. It's great to realize how blessed we are to enjoy these simple and mundane things.

I can't believe it's already December 22. I was just in Tokyo in the last week of November and now the year is coming to a close. I haven't finished a lot of tasks at work still, though. I can't let my tasks finish me. I have to be the one finishing them!

Oh, I started watching Sex and the City last night btw. I am watching it for the first time. It came out when I was not even a first grader. I wouldn't have understood a thing even if I watched it then. Also too inappropriate for a child's eyes. I believe I'm around the age of the characters now and it's amazing that the script and experiences of the characters are almost the same with our reality today. Guess we need to laugh it out sometimes too!
