Last birthday year i kept a 'gratefulness diary' in a journal lovingly handmade by a friend. This year i'd like to continue this reflective practice through photography. I'm hoping to capture a little of the 'decisive moments', the 'tricks of the light' in this 'wide brown land' and this terrible and 'wonderful world'. I aim to discipline myself to posting at least one but no more than three photos a week. I'd like to acknowledge those i've borrowed from and been inspired by - Vivian Maier, Henri Cartier-Bresson, The Triffids, Isobel Marion Dorothea Mackellar, Louis Armstrong and my Dad, to name a few. Thanks also to my dear family and friends, alternately long-suffering and encouraging in the face of 'just a few more photos'. Special thanks to my daughter who set up the blog with just a few clicks of her fingers! Here goes...hope you enjoy!
