Additionally, I am sharing this on tumblr rather than twitter because I don’t have as many followers on here. I’m really scared to share this, as it is very detailed and depressing. I don’t want to be judged, but I think it is important for me to accept my story for how it is.

Hi! Welcome! My name is Allie and I’ve been on tumblr since 2015. No, I don’t have a Taylor follow and I’ve been pretty under the radar. I also just happen to be on twitter a lot. I’m neither a Twitter Swiftie nor a tumblr Swiftie, but I am here and ready to accept anyone with open arms who is trying to join in on this side of the fandom. We’re all Swifties, and we should all be kind to one another.

And a lot of “twitter Swifties” are so new and scared. Sure, they aren’t oppressed based on the platform they use, but this is a good way for them to dip their toe in the water. Plus, you never know... some of them may also have their own disabilities or be people of different races or LGBTQ+ and they are trying as hard as they can to introduce themselves to you.

Even though I’m pretty much still a nobody on here, I just imagine my first few confusing weeks on tumblr and all the things I did to try and talk to people (pretty embarrassing tbh, and many of those people continue to ignore me). So be accepting. It’s okay to add more Swifties to the fandom. The more, the merrier!

My second favorite day of 2019 was the day I flew to Paris for 48 hours just to see you at Olympia Hall. 09.09.19. Finally got around to memorializing it. Wristband, metro ticket to the venue, ticket into the show, pictures from the night & obviously the booklet from the era that made it all possible 💗💗💗💗💗. My first favorite day was my wedding day but tbh I haven’t made that shadow box yet. Don’t tell my husband 😂😬

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR SWIFT

 In celebration of this here a 30 Taylor Swift songs I love!!!!

(I love them all, but this fits the theme of Taylor turning 30).

Love Story. It’s the first song I heard of hers and the nostalgia I feel when listening to it is unparalleled. She wrote this one her bedroom song at the age of 17 yrs old. And it’s part of what makes this song so beautiful.

Sparks Fly. From her Speak Now album and the opener of her Speak Now world tour. Aka the first time I saw her live. Speak Now is also the first album I brought of hers. Which makes this song even more special. 

 I love singing along to this song. And I love the memories that it brings. Cause I see sparks fly. Whenever u smile.

Fifteen. Whereas I didn’t learn all the same lessons Taylor did at 15 I know I, like her, have learnt a lot since then. Cause of this the underlying theme of that song. Of growing up and learning what you’re worth, is something that gets me when I hear it.

Our Song. This song is from her debut album and it’s a fucking bop!!! She wrote this at 14(ish) for a school talent show and holy shit is it a good song!!! One of her earliest jams. And it is such a fun song.

 All Too Well. This is the song often referred to as Taylor’s best. And I can hear that. Although I’ve never been in a relationship, nor lost one. I know what missing someone can be like. And I feel like this captures the pain and feelings to come with that

Style. One of her most well-known songs Style makes me want to strut whenever I hear it. Or it gets stuck in my head. Or even just thinking about it. For whatever reason, this song gives me the confidence of a global superstar and I love it.

Lover. From her latest album, self wrote and the polar opposite of All Too Well. God, I love this song!!! I hope this if I am ever to fall in love it’s like this song sounds. It’s safe to say Taylor’s given me high expectations for relationships.

I Did Something Bad. I don’t know what this wasn’t a single but every Swifties knows it should’ve been. I feel like a badass and this song is a something she needed to say louder. Also, the bridge is…URGH!!!   Not to mention the rtatttttata. You know!!!!

RED. Incredible album. Incredible song. In terms of the song. ‘Loving him was blue like I’ve never known. Missing him was dark grey all alone. Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’d never meet. Loving him was RED’ Genius. Incredible. Masterpiece And I are so glad she has a love that is golden now! “I used to think love was burning RED, but it’s golden” - Daylight.

Gorgeous. This song mentions her cats. And I love that. I also like the ding. It’s also a good prequel to London Boy. Taylor Swift is a cheeky person and I love it

Last Kiss. One of her best-written songs! ‘You can plan for a change in the weather in town, but I never planned on you changing your mind’ is just one of many incredible and painful lines in this song.

Cold as You. From her debut album. It’s is her first released song to showcase her ability to write a song that’s painful and beautiful. ‘And you come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you’ Rip my heart out why don’t you @taylorswift​?

Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince. A song that looks at American politics today through the eyes of a high school.

 I love Taylor. Love how her mind works. Love how this plays like a movie. Love this song. and I am so hoping that because her upcoming Netflix Documentary is going to be called ‘Taylor Swift: Miss Americana” that’ll it’ll be single!!!  

White Horse. ‘Cause I’m not your princess, this ain’t a fairytale. I’m going to find someone, someday who might actually treat me well’. I Stan Taylor knowing her self-worth even as a teenager and the fact that’s she finally found her fairytale.

All You Had to do was Stay. This song does one of my favourite Taylor Swift things. An upbeat song to sad lyrics. Like the Story of Us or Death By a Thousand Cuts.

 1989 is a masterpiece of an album and every song on it proves that.

Delicate. A song about the delicacy of a new relationship when faced with a negative reputation/rumours. ‘You must like me for me’. 

Also, Swifties adding the 1,2,3 Let’s Go Bitch for the live version is so iconic!!! 

Blank Space. Speaking of Iconic. 

 Amongst Swifties. Taylor created a loop and that loop stayed. Also her 2nd most successful single. And an iconic video. And the song is incredible. This song deserves a whole movie. It’s that incredible. 

and the persona she takes on in this song to mock the image that the media created of her is everything. 

Dear John. ‘I’m shining like fireworks over your sad empty town’ Will never not be iconic. And it’s fucking true. Every one of her exes, famous or not, is unable to escape her name. Cause Taylor Swift is iconic. And that is fantastic. 

The Archer. This song is so incredibly gorgeous and so personal. This is a song about convincing yourself and your self-worth. Which is something everyone struggles with! So much. She’s put so many feelings into words and she does it beautifully.

Tim McGraw. This is her debut single and began her incredible career. It’s safe to say that today. When I hear Tim McGraw I think of her. I also enjoy listening to it. It is a very calming song. 

Shake it off. Likely her most iconic song. I remember her releasing it and being completely shocked at how poppy it was. 

 Today it’s my favourite happy/feel-good song. There’s nothing quite like the fun this song inspires. 

22. I went to the RED tour at 14 and this song was honestly one of the best experience of my life. Having a couple 1000 Swifties singing this at the top of their lungs along with Taylor was sooo incredible!!!

I’d also like to thank @taylorswift​ and @taylornation​ for making the age 22 iconic.

Enchanted. This song makes me feel like a princess. It big beautiful gown twirling around a ballroom. I cannot wait for Taylor re-record her music and songs like this to turn up in more films and tv shows!!! Cause they tell stories!!!

I also hope she makes this a single when she re-records Speak Now.

King of My Heart. This song grew on me. Now it’s one of my favourites of off reputation. It’s so sweet and so beautiful. It’s a love song and it’s one of my faves.

Look What you Made Me Do. This song is difficult to describe. It’s….. Like incredible is not the right word. More like ICONIC!!! 

Beginning with her Out of the Woods self crawling out of a grave all zombie-fied and ending it with  ‘I’m sorry, the older Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh. Cause she DEAD’. and Taylor Swift on Taylor Swift roast session.

 Nothing. Nothing can top that.

Out of the Woods. The video of this was filmed at a beach near me. In NZ. And it’s such a beautiful video. And the song. OH! The song!!!  The way it’s so repetitive to showcase how her anxiety felt!!! Love it when does stuff like that.

You Belong with Me. Sure this song isn’t entitled feminist. But it’s important to remember that comparing yourself to other women and feeling insecure about it is still common today. And this song captures that. Not to mention it’s a bop.

I Knew You Were Trouble. Honestly. This is my favourite single from RED. And I love the 1989 and the AOTD AMAs performance of this song! Another song where she uses certain methods, in this case, dubstep, to get across exactly how this song feels. Not to mention… it is an iconic Taylor Swift song. 

Cruel Summer. DEAR GOD DO I HOPE THIS AND THE MAN BECOME SINGLES!!!! 

 Can not wait for her the perform this live!!! Holy shit that growl is going to end me! 

 I WANT MORE OF IT!!!  TAYLOR! PLEASE RELEASE A ROCK ALBUM!!!! I’ve wanted this since Speak Now

Long Live. 

Last but certainly not least…

This song gets me emotional tbh. I hope like she’s done with Love Story, she never stops playing this song. I’ve promised to stand by her forever and to tell future generations about her. And I promise I will!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR!!! I have loved everything you have brought forward within the first 30 years of your life, even if I’ve only known you for 13 of them.

I love you so much and cannot wait to see what more you bring to this world!!!
