Following on from the simple modesty of the 1300s, female hair in the 1400s became a lot more elaborate thanks to the addition of hair pieces, ribbon and other decorations. Braided styles evolved into very detailed and decorative concoctions. Styles also became more flowy and romantic, often with curls framing the face. CC links under the cut.

Antiquated Brindleton
An 1890s Decades Challenge Save File
This save has been almost a year in the making, but it's finally here! It includes a completely rebuilt Brindleton Bay inspired by historic New England towns and set in the 1890s. This save uses a light amount of historical cc and most of the packs.
Download and details under the cut:
Tumblr media
SAVE DETAILS:
Includes:
Eight new residential lots
Seven new community lots
Six new households
Builds and households are all located in Brindleton Bay. The world is intended to be historically accurate to about 1890, though some liberties for functionality have been taken.
Builds in other worlds have been deleted. The necessary buildings, like dorms, active career lots, and the high school, have all been left in place.
Townies have been evicted, but not deleted, as I prefer EA townies to fully randomized townies.
If you’d like more period appropriate townies to add, the lovely @jewishsimming has some great historical ones to download and @cowplant-snacks has an amazing tutorial on how to manage your townies with MCCC.
REQUIREMENTS: I have all the packs except Batuu and some of the kits. I didn’t limit myself when building. I don’t have everything listed out here, but I will be uploading all the lots and households to my gallery, so if you’d like to know specific pack usage you’ll be able to check there. If you load in and things are replaced or missing and you think it looks obvious feel free to message me, I’m always happy to try to help you find something else that fits! This save includes historical CC, some is included in my download in folders and some you will need to download from the creators directly. 1930s Loookbook
After the roaring 20s, fashion became more conservative in the 1930s, with hair and hemlines getting longer again. The era was defined by the great depression, after the stock market crashed in 1929, and lasted through almost the whole decade. Many families during this time began making dresses from flour sacks, and so companies began printing textiles on the sacks for extra reusability. Despite the decade's widespread poverty, fashion themes of femininity and elegance prevailed, inspired by Hollywood stars like Joan Crawford.
Check out my other lookbooks: 2010s, 2000s, 1990s, 1980s, 1970s, 1960s, 1950s, 1940s

Wollaton Hall, Nottingham
Hi guys!!
I'm sharing Wollaton Hall. This is the 7th building for my English Manors Collection, and I will add many more!
House History: Wollaton Hall was built between 1580 and 1588 for Sir Francis Willoughby and is believed to be designed by the Elizabethan architect, Robert Smythson, who had by then completed Longleat, and was to go on to design Hardwick Hall. The general plan of Wollaton is comparable to these, and was widely adopted for other houses, but the exuberant decoration of Wollaton is distinctive, and it is possible that Willoughby played some part in creating it. The style is an advanced Elizabethan with early Jacobean elements.
Wollaton is a classic prodigy house, "the architectural sensation of its age", though its builder was not a leading courtier and its construction stretched the resources he mainly obtained from coalmining; the original family home was at the bottom of the hill. Though much re-modelled inside, the "startlingly bold" exterior remains largely intact.
The house was unused for about four decades before 1687, following a fire in 1642, and then re-occupied and given the first of several campaigns of re-modelling of the interiors.
The hall remains essentially in its original Elizabethan state, with a "fake hammerbeam" wood ceiling of the 1580s, in fact supported by horizontal beams above, but given large and un-needed hammerbeams for decoration.
In 1881, the house was still owned by the head of the Willoughby family, Digby Willoughby, 9th Baron Middleton, but by then it was "too near the smoke and busy activity of a large manufacturing town... now only removed from the borough by a narrow slip of country", so that the previous head of the family, Henry Willoughby, 8th Baron Middleton, had begun to let the house to tenants and in 1881 it was vacant.
The hall was bought by Nottingham Council in 1925. Estate and personal papers of the Willoughby family were used to create the Middleton collection at the department of Manuscripts and Special Collections, The University of Nottingham. They include the Wollaton Antiphonal and the single manuscript holding the 13th-century post-Arthurian romance Le Roman de Silence.
Nottingham Council opened the hall as a museum in 1926. In 2005 it was closed for a two-year refurbishment and re-opened in April 2007.
More history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wollaton_Hall
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This house fits a 50x50 lot and features a great room, a formal dining room and a daily breakfast room, a great library, his and hers bedrooms, 2 royal bedrooms with their formal sitting rooms.
This time I decorated most of the rooms for picture purposes, but as allways, you can make it your own!
Hope you like it.
Be warned: I did not have the floor plan for the 2nd floor. The distribution is based on my own decision.
You will need the usual CC I use: all of Felixandre, The Jim, SYB, Anachrosims, Regal Sims, TGS, The Golden Sanctuary, Cliffou, Dndr recolors, etc.
Please enjoy, comment if you like it and share pictures with me if you use my creations!
Early access: August 15.

This is the forth and last map I've made for The First Ones story: The Komorebi continent.
The story hasn't arrived in these lands yet, but they will in the future, so I thought it would be nice to have it ready.
Since I get better by doing, this map is probably the one I'm most proud of, even if it's not perfect. Please have a closer look here.
The story will continue on Sunday in just two days! 😊

I've been on a historical gameplay kick lately and recently picked up the @greatbritishsimchallenge. Finding good quality CC for this has been trickier for me than normal CC. I'm not being a real stickler for absolute historical accuracy, and one of the things I cannot stand is how limited your cooking options are with the off-the-grid lot challenge. So I just try to use zero electronics and find historically accurate looking appliances (even if they still technically use electricity since I'm not using OTG). So far my two ABSOLUTE FAVORITE pieces of CC have both come from @hamsterbellbelle. The sack fridge (https://hamsterbellbelle.tumblr.com/post/685263141650726912/sack-fridgegrocery-fridge-download-sack) and the Traditional Asian Stove (https://hamsterbellbelle.tumblr.com/post/674191101354295296/traditional-asian-stove-with-animated-flame). They both work flawlessly and make my (very not totally historically accurate) more primitive builds feel so much more authentic and homey. I'm obsessed and I can't recommend them enough. (Even if my dang neighbors do keep stealing them every five seconds.) Another favorite is this Korean Potty from @atelierlena (https://www.tumblr.com/atelierlena/641343445558067200/lena-sims-korean-potty-functional-new-mesh). The other outhouses/privies I've found tend to be glitchy, either causing my Sims to stretch/float and constantly stop before completing their task, or just not be hidden while on the toilet (seriously, why are you leaning backwards out the outhouse when you potty, friendo?). This one just looks like a perfectly unassuming, chronologically ambiguous pot over in the corner and my Sims can use it with zero trouble (although it does tickle me to watch them flush it). Anywho... To the one other person who might see and find this useful, enjoy!

Forever and a Day | Chapter 1: When Clouds Appear

Vito and Aldo 🖤🤌 -
Original Characters (Mobsters in love)
Tumblr media
Vito Trepani & Aldo Morelli
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Francesca "Frankie" Morelli
Tumblr media
Max "The Bat" Pagliacci
Tumblr media
From the diary of Vito Trepani, December 1945:
Aldo Morelli, my best bud. Smooth talker, ladies' man, everything I ain't. But then things got complicated. Our friendship started feeling more like something else,
I tried playing it Bogart, but Aldo saw right through me.
“Just come here” he growled. And then he kissed me.
Excerpts from Santiago Stracci testimony - 1958:
Vito Trepani, now there's a guy who's as complex as they come. He's got a mind like a steel trap, always calculating, always planning his next move. But underneath that tough exterior beats the heart of a hopeless romantic.
See, Vito never had much of a family growing up, but the Estacado Family has given him a home, a place where he belongs. And they've also given him an outlet for all that rage that simmers just below the surface.
But don't let his violent tendencies fool you, Vito's got a soft spot a mile wide, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. He's a sucker for a good love story, always dreaming of finding the kind of love he's never known.
Aldo Morelli, he's built like a brick wall, perfect for the jobs Angelo Boccino throws his way. But you know what really sets Aldo apart? His bond with his sister, Francesca. They're as thick as thieves, those two. She's his world, and he'd do anything for her. It's a beautiful thing, really, seeing how much they care for each other in our line of work.
Francesca "Frankie" Morelli, Aldo's little sister, is a firecracker, let me tell you. She's the kind of dame who could charm the devil himself with that smile of hers. But don't let her looks fool you, she's got brains to match, and she's not afraid to use 'em.
Frankie's always looking out for her big brother, Aldo. Most nights, you'll find her patching him up when he stumbles home from work, a real mother hen, that one. She's tough as nails, but she's got a heart of gold, especially when it comes to family.
But let me tell you, she's no pushover. Frankie's got a mouth on her that could make a sailor blush, and she's not afraid to speak her mind. She's a handful, that's for sure, but she's also fiercely loyal and would do anything for the ones she loves.

The Baroque period saw a softening of women's fashion, with the silhouette becoming fuller and higher waisted. Leg-o-mutton and three quarter sleeves added a billowy upper half to dresses. Shimmering soft satins and tonnes of delicate lace trimmings were all the rage. Necklines continued to broaden, eventually even falling off the shoulders in some styles.

1940s Lookbook
Fedoras, trench coats, Hollywood glamour, and American patriotism, it’s the 1940s! WWII had a huge effect on the fashion of the 40s. Rationing meant people were encouraged to wear utilitarian garments with less fabric. Wide-legged high waisted pants were popular on men and women, as the war necessitated more women to enter the workforce, often working in factories.

🇺🇸Army of the United States🇺🇸: A military lookbook
PART I
Tumblr media
The evolution of U.S. Army uniforms from the Revolutionary War to the present day reflects changes in technology, tactics, and the roles of the military:
Revolutionary War (1775-1783): The Continental Army, at this time, did not have a standardized uniform. Soldiers often wore civilian clothing, and the most common item was the blue or brown coat, with a distinctive cocked hat. Militiamen and volunteers wore a variety of outfits.
War of 1812 (1812-1815): The War of 1812 saw the introduction of blue wool coats, often referred to as "roundabouts" or "shell jackets," for the regular army. They were typically trimmed with gold stripes or white. Soldiers also wore the distinctive 'Shako' hat.
Civil War (1861-1865): The Civil War era marked the transition from brightly colored uniforms to the more familiar blue and gray, with distinctive kepis (caps) and frock coats for the Union and Confederate armies, respectively.

Kremastes Kourtines - Three Curtains recolor
Sometimes we need privacy, sometimes we need a little privacy and sometimes we just need something to keep the light away.
Even back in ancient times humans (and sims) started to use woven cloth to protect themselves from heat, cold or strong light and divide the living space for more privacy. It was more common among the wealthy than others, and it for sure would beautify their surroundings. This set has three different curtains in many swatches from my Efrosyni and Knossos palettes. You will find them in game where you normally find curtains, or by searching for Kremastes or KyriaT.
