I see people saying they only listened to TTPD since it came out as if it was something special. Is it my neurodivergent brain or am I abnormal? Because everytime there's a new album, it takes at least a month before I can listen to something else and it's only been a few days ^^'
Like I need this time to really learn it and enjoy it idk...

Rec for Whump Wednesdays: The Tortured (2010). (not sure if you've already watched it)
It has some of the cold stifled dread vibes I absolutely dig in your and Peach's writing.
We have not watched it (I'm speaking for @peachy-panic but we probably have not watched it lol). We are STRUGGLING to find whumpy movies thank you for the rec!

Stewing in my own thoughts isn't healthy, and getting out of my house only resulted in me being miserable somewhere else. So I'm going to start my horror movie watches early. Or rather, I'm going to watch something from a WhatCulture Horror "Hardest To Watch Scenes" countdown. The Tortured. A couple's son gets kidnapped and they get revenge. Why not? Sure. I already wasted an hour trying to browse for something on my own. At least being in a listicle gives it more credibility than, say, uhh..."Slashening: The Final Beginning".
Now, because I found this film in a Youtube video, I do actually know where they're going with this. So in that way, I can appreciate the parents' descent into madness and desperation. I also can't help but think about how they don't take kindly to child killers in prison, so this motherfucker would definitely not be getting off easy even with plea bargains and good behavior. I don't know why he would plead not guilty, he was caught red handed and they didn't even bother showing us whatever defense he had. If anything, pleading guilty should have made it easier to negotiate a lighter sentence.
I think I can guess what the big reveal is going to be.
Yeah, that's fucking rough.
At least what I said above is still true and the real Kozlowski won't last long in prison. He's getting shanked and beaten to death by a mob of inmates. Real shame about the nonviolent tax evader who became collateral damage, though. It's not even like the Landrys will keep their closure in blissful ignorance since they'll obviously hear the truth very soon. Either from watching the news or from a follow-up call from the investigators. To think they tortured an innocent man for days culminating in him being driven to suicide, because they didn't notice he wasn't the same guy they were in a courtroom with. Oops. I mean, his face was covered in blood, and Bill Lippencott was clearly cast so he could pass for a less gaunt and bedraggled version of Bill Moseley.
I'm not typically one for straight, mundane-reality torture porn, but I wanted something that would sting without it being, like, A Serbian Film. It wasn't outstanding, the writing was a little wonky at times, but it delivered on what I expected of it.

i think people don’t get the parallels between cardigan and peter and chloe or sam or sophia or marcus when she says in cardigan that her lover will haunt all of her what-ifs and then in cososom she asks if she’ll always wonder and then in peter she says you said you were gonna grow up and you would find me which imo alludes to the fact that yb never asked her to marry him and cheated on her :(
