it's possible there's not an actual connection, except they sounded good together! but i feel like it could maybe speak to the transience described in both songs. in snow on the beach she's so happy she's unsure it's real or if she can believe in it - plus, snow melts. ilipw describes the relationship as a feather taken by the wind. both are, idk, airy-sounding in lyrics and production. snow falling, feathers drifting in the wind... you get it
