Next to him, Zeb let out a snort. “Because you fell in love with Hera when you first saw her?”

“Not true,” Kanan protested, and he wasn’t lying. Technically, he’d fallen in love when he first heard her voice. Or rather, started to fall. He’d never begun to imagine the depths of who she was when he first met her, and he was content to spend a long time finding out.

However, first he and Zeb had to find her. Preferably before the Empire did.

As they kept moving, Kanan caught sight of a flash of orange. Oh, Force, please let it be Hera. Turning towards it, he saw— a kid, dressed in all orange clutching something in his hands, darting down an alleyway. Nope. Wait— where did that kid come from?

“Uh, Kanan? My credit pouch is gone.”
