Rosa+ immigration+ something something ball!
Rosa
Rosa examined her reflection in the mirror, making sure every part of her uniform was perfectly in place. She was interviewing today for a position which had already been filled by three other people, and she wanted to make a good impression. A sloppy uniform was a sloppy employee.
He's just horrible, the others had said, and it had been taken up by many who hadn't ever met the client. So demanding, and unreasonable. He fired me because (seemingly silly reason)
Julia, her supervisor, stuck her head through the doorway. “Ready?” she asked. Rosa picked a speck of lint from her sweater and turned away. She was ready.
They drove to the client's location, Julia chattering the whole way about how important it was for the client to be satisfied. He was young, she said, young enough to be one of Rosa's own children, and he was particular. “Don't stare,'' Julia cautioned as they waited at the door for the client to let them in.
Immigration:
I haven't started writing this yet :( An exploration of my modern au-verse where Inej suddenly has to worry about her visa expiring and how that affects her and Kaz.
The Something something Ball
(All the Pretty Dresses)
The inspiration dress for the one Inej will be wearing to the ball, with ALL of the interior fluff that goes with it (swoon).
I am not a dress historian by any means, but i love learning about dress history, and make many eras of historical clothing for myself. This is on the list to be recreated some day.
