Let's talk about AU again. Not too long ago, I showed you the Dreamtale universe “era”, where “what if the brothers lived the same 700 years, but in a world of humans (and monsters). this is their alternative…the "Stone." Unfortunately, in this universe they couldn't escape from all the troubles and wars. And so they have been sleeping in stone since the 18th century. Well….one of them is asleep. The other one is in a more serious condition. But who knows…maybe Cross will help them.

И вот они спят в камне с 18 века. Ну….один из них спит. Второй в более тяжелом состоянии. Но кто знает…может Кросс им поможет.

smth about how cross would be the most emotive out of nightmare’s group. like he’s a very emotional character (hyperempatheticautisticsayswhat) and shows it. he’s (canonically) a crybaby. he gets angry and frustrated easily. he’s easily tricked, manipulated, baited. he’s expressive. hell, he’s a swap sans, he’s canonically able to do the star eyelight thing that classic sanses just don’t normally do.

killer’s emotions are locked in a box with a fuckton of chains and gorilla glue keeping it together. even he doesn’t realize what he’s feeling sometimes, on the days he registers that he feels at all (thx nm). dust is monotone and while he feels things, it’s erratic and unreliable. bursts of quick, intense emotions that quickly die down. horror is a bit more expressive, but his emotions are still suppressed in the way classic variants’ emotions tend to be. he never shows it when he’s emotionally vulnerable. i don’t think in his comic he ever was really that emotionally vulnerable. out of everyone, cross is the most emotive.

would that also then mean he’s a beacon for emotional manipulation and blackmail? would nightmare prolong his suffering because he can feed off it much easier, because while cross tries to keep a stoic face at times, even underneath it his emotions are so obvious and so expressive in a way classic sanses just aren’t? would this make him the prime example of A Person Dream Really Wants To Help Because Oh God He’s Not Doing Too Hot?
