Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to introduce you to the greatest joke of all time:
What is Dracula’s favorite drink? 커피!
커피 - Coffee 피- Blood
(I laughed when I heard it, I laughed as I drew it, I’m laughing as I post it.)

basically, anyone reading this knows that tumblr + studying = difficult. we’re all procrastinators. so i thought i’d share my favorite ways to crack down, not suck, and make it through finals week. you’ll need
this or this. it’ll whip your ass into gear. you name a list of websites that distract you, set a timer, and bam. no more hour long study breaks. the best - or worst - part is, it can’t be undone by the application, by deleting the application, or by restarting the computer. you just gotta wait, and if you’re going to wait, you may as well study.
goals. when you sit down to study, write down everything you’re going to do. then do it. aimlessly staring at your books won’t do shit.
something to listen to. i suggest movie scores, song covers by the vitamin string quartet, or white noise.
a queue. if you’re really obsessed with keeping your blog up to date, set aside some time, fatten up your queue, and let your blog run itself for a few days.
breaks. during your breaks, dance, run around, work out, go for a walk, talk to your friends, call your mom. going back on the internet is an easy way to get out of the mood, so i wouldn’t suggest it.
tea and coffee - if not for the caffeine, then for the feeling of cozying up with your text books and feeling studious.
a place to study. it doesn’t matter if it’s in a coffee house, a library, or your kitchen table. as long as your bed’s not in sight and tempting you into a nap, you’re good.
that’s all i’ve got. i’d try to think of more, but that, my friends, would be procrastinating. off to study.

{ A quick note }
Hey! Sorry I haven't been on in so long. By so long, I guess I actually mean a few days.
Regardless, I just want to point out really quickly that I've stopped with the daily diary posts.
Until I can really get on my feet with learning this language, I don't want to make a bunch of posts about irrelevant things to make up for my lack of materials or time.
So, I plan to either make weekly posts or just post whenever I have an update!;;;
                                                                                         Until next time,
                                                                                                              Gabi

Note
how can i say "The sky reminds me of you" thank you! you're so nice to do this
I could only think of a translation of this one as “When I look at the sky, I think of you”. It has a very similar meaning… right?
The translation is:
하늘을 보면, 니가 생각나.
Haneul-eul bomyeon, niga saeng-gagna.

Day two of this blog's career!
Tumblr media
So far today, I haven't done much. Sadly, today, my pet rabbit Barney passed away in my arms. I only had him for two weeks, but it's amazing how much even that can help you bond to an animal.
As I'm sure you can expect, I'm not hit terribly hard. The fault lies in the pet store we purchased him and our other rabbit, Bubba from. They were mistreated, and we were lied to about their health and age.
Regardless, this is getting off topic, but as of tomorrow I'm giving no excuses. Hopefully lol
Tumblr media
I have been a bit productive, however! At the moment, I'm playing this Korean pop mix from 8tracks, and I also purchased a Korean-English dictionary from Barnes and Noble earlier.
I've pretty much just ventured around the internet as of late. I've been watching ChoNunMigookSaram on youtube, and she's hella helpful and interesting. So there's that;;

{ An inquiry }
Hey! I have a question for anybody who is learning Korean -- or any other language, in fact -- at the moment.
I recently bought myself a good amount of notebooks and stationary to take notes and practice with -- however, I'm determined to make this actually useful, unlike the trillion abused notebooks from grade school that I had owned.
So this is my inquiry -- do you have any ideas, suggestions, or strategies on how to take notes most effectively? I have two notebooks -- should I designate one to grammar and the other to vocabulary, or use one for things I want to look up later, or quotes/lyrics I'm unfamiliar with or particularly fond of?
Also -- do you have a particular way you set up the page, or any advice on how to keep things orderly when taking notes on a language?
( TL;DR: I need advice on how to take notes well? )
Thanks so much!
                                                                                                         - Gabi
(obligatory question mark so I can get replies on this??)
