I have a new proposal for a symbol to unite under.

Hippie peace sign combined with a soup can. A reference to an interview did where the orange man said that rioters were using soup cans in place of bricks so that they could conceal them and throw them further.

The peace sighn was made popular during protest of the Vietnam war by anti war and anti draft protest.

I combined the two into a stance not only against the orange man but also against the military industrial complex his party members profit from.

Also a horns version with the tomato If you want to go with that instead. Rock and punk is anti establishment after all.

For those who follow me for prepping. I’m sorry if this is how you figure out but AP has called the race in favor of the orange man. I ask you to please don’t do anything permanent. There will be hardship ahead but let’s try to think of the positives however few there are

1. They might try to fight it but trump can only serve 2 terms so after this he can’t run again as the law stands. With control of all three they may have a chance to fight it but it will not be easy to fight a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT without 2/3 of both houses approval and no democrat in their right mind would vote for that. I imagine even some republican seats won’t want to go along with it.

2. No more telemarketers and ads for a little bit I guess.

Please stop calling it civilian kit. Flannel and tactical gear is not civilian kit but rather Private contractor kit. They wear flannel and/or solid colors to distinguish themselves from traditional military that they may be working alongside. Realistic civilian kit is going to look like fudd gear with some surplus from the 60s to 80s mixed in. At least for the first months of a conflict.

I love how we’re just hating on Elon’s robots by using “clanker” and other slurs but as a man from the Deep South who has grown up around all different kinds of hate I think y’all don’t know how to do bigotry right. Take it further with some more phrases and dog whistles. Phrases like “Man power!”, “when I fought for human rights back in the day. keyword Human” “you think it’s a coincidence that unemployment and crime goes up when robots move in?” “I don’t know man them things just ain’t natural”

You know what I hate? When you’re in cosplay but your underwear is sweaty so you have to go change your undies in the public bathroom at a convention center and you have your costume all on the dirty public restroom floor. But I think I came up with something that could help.

I call them costume boxers. They are undies that unbutton on the sides so you don’t have to take your pants fully off to change them. Most helpful for people whose cosplay has really tall boots or inconvenient leg wraps that make it a hassle to take your pants off.

They probably already exist and I don’t know about them but I think I should start making these

Unrelated to anything I’ve posted previously but to all those doing cod or military fanart. If you are doing a drawing of them shirtless to show off scars or thirst trapping or whatever you could make their dominant hand’s armpit bruised for realism. Recoil on high power rifles and just about any shotgun will leave a bruise where you rest the stock. It won’t hurt right then but after a day of shooting when you shot a few dozen or in their case a hundred rounds down range it’s going to leave a dark purple splotch in between your pit and shoulder. And if your writing the physical bruise pain can be used a symbolism for the psychological effect of taking a life or something. If they use an AWP type sniper or pyat style launch some other anti material weapon the bruise/knot will color tge whole shoulder purple while most assault weapons and shotguns will leave a bruise the diameter of a monster can.

Whenever society collapses people are going to have different plans on how they survive. One I have seen in prepper forums is what are called “werewolf preppers” doomsday preppers who only stockpile weapons and plan to steal from others to survive. This may show success at first but will not be sustainable once people start forming up tribes as groups are harder to rob or attack than individuals and small immediate families. It also leads the risk of putting a target on your back if you attack someone who was close to someone who believes in eye for an eye and will hunt your dumbass down. A better approach would be more like soos.

When he found himself in weirdmageddon he went to seek others out. Not to steal but to aid. He gained a reputation as the “handyman of the apocalypse”. I may be forgetting details but this is partially what led to survivors in the mystery shack being able to join for a common goal and turn teh shack into a gundam. You or your survivor group may not be able to create a mech but they can help maintain the base and food garden or maybe show up with guns to intimidate the werewolf’s away from your turf. You helping others can also raise your standing with other factions as well as people with no faction. That way if you end up being the one who needs help you may receive help from those who you helped when they needed.

Taking a break from the horrific seriousness of the situation. Here’s my personal opinion on what I think different classes would look like if this possible civil war was an fps. Similar classes in terms of ability but different in terms of appearance and lore. Asexuals and blue collar meth heads would be each sides scout or close shotgun class. Melee class for each side could be a neckbeard with a katana for the right side and a butch lesbian with an English longsword for the left. Maybe even priests and witches for healer class. I would like to hear y’all’s take and some other class ideas on this

If society collapses. There will likely be little to no faith in paper currency. Some peppers prep for this by investing in gold but I believe that that is just kicking the ball a little further down. In fallout currency was replaced by bottle caps. I propose that that realistically it would likely be different currencies for different settlements and/or factions. In my personal opinion I believe that the first currency for people to agree upon (at least in america) would be the mason jar and/or some form of sealable container. It doesn’t corrode, it has a use that makes an incentive to get as many as you can if not for yourself then to trade with someone who does. Even if the person your trading with doesn’t see it as a currency they still would probably take it if not to use himself then to trade with some one who will. use for preserving vegetables, homade soup, medicine and even “medicine”. All of these things can take dosens even hundreds of jars.

When shit hits the fan there will likely be a cut to internet access in a previous post I talked about how this can hamper communication. In this post I will talk about how it affects access to information. Physical media while Somtimes being more expensive will be a very useful. Most of The extra cost can be bypassed by writing the information down yourself from free online sources to a notebook or index cards. Some info I have that could be useful is the alphabet in Morse code and the meaning of certain markings or phrases.

One of the most common ways to make an ambush in an urban setting is to hide in a building and shoot from windows and balconies. If your enemy catches on to where you always attack from they can more easily spot your position. In Ukraine the common tactic is to pick a random floor in a building using dice to keep from being predictable for the teams marksman and demoman (usually with explosives that can be shot) to shoot at the opposing force they are ambushing while the rest of the team are on ground level in the building defending the position. So a set of dice can be used for your survivor group if they go up against a group of looters, raiders, or even the government trying to install marshal law in the early days of the crisis.
