Every time I see a Connor McDavid hug it throws me off. It just is so different from every other way he interacts with people and how awkward he is. You’re right that he always hugs people like it’s the last time he’s seeing them.
He always looks a little too self-aware most the time off-ice, imo. Like he's just very conscious of where his limbs are. But when he's hugging it's like the only thing on his mind is hugging and making that the best hug they'll ever share. It's kinda great
