Jack stood in the doorway of Mac's hospital room for a long time before venturing inside.  If he was on his partner's left side, Mac looked normal.  Well, as normal as he could look with a neck brace and ventilator tube.  His blond hair was disheveled and sticking up from the sponge bath he'd been given after surgery. 

It was the right side that was a mess of shaved hair, staples, and swelling.  Jack avoided the reminder of his failure by taking a seat in the visitor's chair on Mac's left side.  He squeezed Mac's wrist and used the contact to check Mac's pulse.  It was strong and steady.  Thank goodness.

He reluctantly pulled his hand away and sat back in the chair.  The doctors had told him not to touch or talk to Mac, that his brain needed rest and quiet.  Lack of stimulation was key to recovery. 

Jack found it almost impossible to keep quiet.  He was so used to talking to Mac about everything ranging from his favorite breakfast foods to his least favorite hobbies to his childhood in Texas.  Nothing had ever really been off-limits.  Not even back when they'd grudgingly been partnered together in the Sandbox. 

In fact, Jack had once told the story of how he'd lost his virginity just to see what Mac's reaction would be.  He wasn't disappointed since it was the most emotion Mac had shown up until that point.  And all the kid did was flip him the bird over his shoulder while he was in the midst of disarming an IED.

it would make dean fucking furious, but i actually love the idea that jack sometimes calls sam "sammy" and that sam lets him. he's the only one besides dean that doesn't get "it's sam"

jack is always watching dean, and while part of that is search for dean's approval, the rest is because it teaches him how to interpret and be loved by sam

he calls him sammy when he's scared, or worried, or even relieved (seeing sam after lucifer brought him back would definitely elicit a sammy)

dean says it and it's sammy (protected)

jack says it and it's sammy (protector)

i also think he's seen dean and sam hug each other, sees how sam scrunches himself up so dean can still get his arms over his shoulders and folds beneath his brother. and when sam hugs jack, he hugs him sort of like dean hugs him, like how jack thinks dean used to hug sam twenty years ago

being enveloped, sam hunching over to keep him tucked into him, and for a moment jack feels like nothing can get to him

Random ass au where a certain someone is a magical girl.

Not who you'd think.

So, as Vlad was straight up dying on his hospital bed cursing Jack and his life choices to hell and back, a magical little creature just pops by his bedside and asks "Yo you wanna be a magical girl?"

Vlad, who was entirely sure he was hallucinating went fuck it and said yes.

A while later Vlad finds himself fighting against magical beings he was sure as well didn't exist before this. Well, he knew ghosts existed but not any other magical/mystical being.

It all just seemed a bunch of honeybunch to him.

All of this in a cutesy dress he was sure he never would have worn -or afforded actually- before that fateful day that he can surprisingly pull off really, very well.

He's so busy enjoying his newfound freedom and fighting against magical creatures for so long that he just genuinely forgets that the Fenton family existed. At least, until he was invited over to Amity Park via letter and decides to meet his old friends in the flesh.

Surely, him being out of the game for a few days wouldn't lead to anything bad, right?

He meets Jack and Maddie, then their children who he was sure they didn't have any of. He's a bit off put by Jasmine, because he doesn't have any unresolved trauma thank you. Then he's a bit suspicious of Daniel because the boy is quite literally on the verge of pinging his magical senses but also far away from doing so.

Not to mention the mention the entire surge of energy coming from their basement.

But this is a vacation and so if nothing is wrong, then he doesn't have to deal with it. He's just here to relax, maybe do a bit of sightseeing, try not to murder Jack Fenton and maybe investigate what's up with Daniel.

Unfortunately, he wasn't that lucky.

Two things happen at the same time. One, a ghost attack and two, a monster attack. Vlad is just, incredulous at this because it was fine for all of the two days here, of course he does the whole transformation thing and does his job.

Then he finds out why Daniel was so close yet so far from pinging his senses. Because the boy is literally like him except for the fact that he transforms into a ghost instead of a magical girl and, conveniently, Daniel also finds out his secret.

It was going so well too.

i realize this is something of an obvious sentiment to express in a certain light but the more times one rewatches the show the more it becomes glaringly clear that there are very few individuals who actually ever express a philosophical commitment to flint's war to overthrow england. charles does. billy does, although he has his own motivations as well. madi does. jack and anne don't though! not ever! blackbeard doesn't! max, certainly not. and silver? even before he decides to betray flint he never ever says anything even a little bit committed to any sort of animosity towards england. you hit that 3x10 battle and you realize just how few people are actually in it for the same reasons as flint. and you realize that just like flint, just like the crew, just like madi, john silver has also fooled YOU into believing that everyone is on the same page.

Vlad is Psychologically sensitive, and often get used as ghost bait by his two supernatural club friend, Jack and Maddie (j and M are child hood friend both are psycholigically deaf and can't get possesed by ghost). The contain power hall form that are used in modern ghost portal design are actually His idea.

The proto design actually come from Jack wanting to cut cost and push the speed of the project, whiles Vlad want to use a more expensive and safer design.

Of course! So, I woke up one day with this idea of torturing Jack a little by having him be in the war room with Matty while Mac and Riley are out on a mission. Something happens where Mac falls from a height while on comms, so they have to listen to this happening while being so far away.

I have 2200-ish words so far, and I'm stuck on a scene where Jack gets angry with Matty for sending Mac and Riley out without him.

Here's a snippet of the beginning. If I've shared this before, let me know, and I'll share some more.

Mac's scream was seared into Jack's memory forever.  He took a step forward, reaching for the wall of monitors like he could reach through time and space, grab his partner, and stop his fall. 

If Mac were standing in the war room with Jack and Matty, he'd be mentally calculating the variables to determine the distance and severity of the fall.  The scream felt like it lasted an eternity and was still ringing in Jack's ears, but he was sure it was only for a second.  Maybe two.  Definitely not more than three.  

Jack closed his eyes and waited for the impact, but all that came was a fizzle and pop as Mac's comm went dead. 

"Riley, report," Matty demanded.

Her voice was unexpected, and Jack jumped at the sound.  His eyes popped open, and he stared at the monitors, but they didn't have a live sat feed of the area.  The monitors only displayed images relevant to the mission and a map from the previous day.

"How did this happen?" Jack muttered under his breath.  The two younger members of his team were sent out on this mission by themselves.  It was supposed to be an easy op at a nerd conference.  They just needed to separate one evil villain scientist from his laptop, and consequently the formula for a deadly bioweapon, and they'd be home in time for supper. 

Instead, Mac wound up dangling from a fourth floor balcony at their hotel while avoiding the scientist's security team.  One second, he had a death grip on the railing, arguing with Jack about the lethality of nerve agents, and the next, he was screaming.

"We need a medevac, Matty.  Now, right now."  Riley was out of breath, and her voice trembled.

did you ever make a post about pete not liking tankhun ? i know you mentioned it a few times in your tags but i don't remember seeing a post. (i share your opin ions.)

I definitely toyed with the idea of meta or a gifset but I didn't ever make a full post! I love unrequited love and I ESPECIALLY love the extremely rare platonic version which Tankhun and Pete absolutely nail in my opinion!

There are loads of moments where Pete's smile drops around Tankhun very quickly, or he insults Tankhun behind his back. Instead of laughing things off like Arm and Pol, he almost has a wincing fear-response to Tankhun, which we don't really see at all from the other bodyguards.

I think that Tankhun likes to think of himself as being close friends with his bodyguards, and he does genuinely show a lot of open affection for Pete and eventually concern for his safety. But I think ultimately for Pete, Tankhun is just a part of Pete's job, and over time resentment has built up until he thinks of Tankhun as one of the *worst* parts of it. I definitely don't think he resents Tankhun enough to hurt or endanger him, but that's about as far as it goes, there's certainly very little love there.

Something about that dynamic is just particularly brilliant, especially when combined with Pete's eventual defection from Tankhun's side to Vegas'. He chooses a man who has beaten and tortured him over a man who showers him in affection and throws parties on his return.

I utterly adore Tankhun but I think as a character that's grown up in a gilded cage, he doesn't really understand that what Pete needs is a sense of his own autonomy rather than being dragged to "fun" "lets cheer up Pete" parties that Tankhun has demanded on his behalf. At least with Vegas he *chose* to go back, he handed Vegas the ropes, let him lock him back up again. Even before he develops feelings for Vegas, Pete has clearly felt like a subhuman pet for Tankhun and the main family for a long, long time and I think ironically Vegas acknowledging Pete's humanity is the tipping point for him.

I think even without their nascent romantic love as a factor, Pete would always choose Vegas. Because despite the threat of suffering, he offers a sense of freedom that Tankhun's gilded cage does not. It all makes for an incredibly interesting betrayal, and makes Pete choosing Vegas over Tankhun all the more pointed. By choosing to be Vegas' pet, he chooses to be human.

Idk what it is about Silver but he's so... Shippable?

Like I ship SilVil, KalimSil and JadeSil which are kinda popular. But it's also stuff like RidSil and LeoSil (oh so much brainrot currently about LeoSil,) Which aren't as popular.

He's probably my most shipped character like... EVER.
