Asking this of pretty most at this point. How dark would things have gotten if Charlie had actually been killed by Adam?
Tumblr media
Dark.
Because Lucifer would have destroyed Heaven and Hell in his rage and grief.
He lost Heaven. He's been slandered since the beginning of time. He lost his best friend. He lost his wife. And then he loses his daughter, the only true tether he has left in this realm to keep himself as sane as he possibly can?
No one would have survived. He would have killed anyone and everyone in retribution, and he would not have cared who stood in his way.

Thinking about how Diavolo’s feelings transcend time and how in the Nightbringer UR+ card Demon Lord’s Castle Tour this conversation happens.
When asked, “Do you wish to see your father?”
Diavolo responds:
Tumblr media
“I suppose I do . . .” isn’t the typical reaction to how a child would feel about wanting to see their parent. Especially when said parent has essentially been in a coma for a year.
Along with how Diavolo describe his father.
Tumblr media
It makes more sense why when you learn in Lesson 56 how Diavolo was treated by him growing up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Diavolo can tell when others are lying but is unable to understand his father’s intentions.
Diavolo mentions that he lived a very sheltered life growing up. That from a young age his father never allowed him a chance to talk to anyone outside the castle.
His childhood friend was Mephistopheles. A demon literally RAISED to be his friend. Putting a barrier between the two because Mephistopheles would put Diavolo on a pedestal.
Tumblr media
The isolating childhood he experienced riddled with his strict father constantly scolding him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite everything MC is so important to him he wants to see his father again so we can meet.

My favourite part has to be that there are so many characters that dislike Alastor, so you'd think that those people would be able to get along well with Vox. But considering how obsessive Vox is they would most likely just be creeped out and probably end up hating Vox more
lucifer temporarily teaming up with vox because of their shared hatred of alastor but then realises he doesn't like vox and ends up teaming up with alastor instead for their newly shared dislike of vox. vox suffers the most from this

Mammon: So you're a fuckin' Prince?
Abel: No, Charlie is heir, I don't want nothin' from Lucifer.
Mammon: ... But you'll get an inheritance right?
Abel: I don't need no money, I'm happy with what I got in Wrath. I built somethin' good there.
Mammon: How disappointing, you're a bloody boring cunt, aren't you. I woulda tried locking you down if you had Lucifer's cash.
Abel:
Abel: ... Lock me down how exactly

not to be dramatic but the idea that diavolo sending mc back in time around lesson 16 was okay bc diavolo knew that mc wouldn’t die/would be brought back is…..questionable and actually makes diavolo look worse in a way?
like….i think because the game doesn’t go into the trauma of lesson 16 at all, ppl think that mc is brought back and everything is fine and dandy, but, realistically, it wouldn’t be. at all. mc still DIED. in a violent, bloody way. they were choked out. they could likely feel the life being literally choked out of them. they probably fought against belphie and struggled against him as much as they could, but it was useless.
do u genuinely think that something like that wouldn’t cause trauma? nightmares, terror, ptsd? not just for mc either. the brothers would be left reeling from all of that. how tf would u trust your brother again or be able to look him in the eye while knowing exactly what he did to someone who couldn’t defend themself, someone you’ve grown to care abt quite a lot?
diavolo knowing that mc would die in such a brutal way and not caring makes him look worse than he does in a scenario where he simply did not know that would happen.
you can choose which scenario you see as canon, but you cannot pretend like diavolo knowing everything makes him innocent of failing to protect mc.
(and, like, diavolo doesn’t HAVE to be innocent. he is a grown demon. he, at this point in canon, doesn’t have a strong bond with mc. he cares abt their wellbeing bc of what they do for him and their role in his plan, not bc he truly cares for them. he can be morally ambiguous.)

Nightbringer Lesson 11 Lucifer Discussion
I’ve been playing Obey Me for three years and when I saw the dialogue option,
“You’re not actually angry, are you? That’s not it.”
Tumblr media
I HIT IT WITHOUT A SINGLE HESITATION!!! BECAUSE I KNOW AND LOVE LUCIFER!!!
And that is the correct option if you want favor with Lucifer!! Sure it may have hurt him that we lied about being a demon but that’s not the problem.
Tumblr media
The problem is that because we’re a human we’re on the side on humanity. While Lucifer has pledged allegiance to Diavolo.
Spoiler for Obey Me Shall We Date: Lucifer swore an oath after making a deal with Diavolo. In exchange for his loyalty Diavolo would save his dying sister Lilith by having her reincarnate into a human.
This is something the other brothers are unaware of and why Lucifer calls Solomon disgusting for weaponizing and throwing that in his face.
Tumblr media
(Note: While Lucifer has sworn an oath he will always put his brothers above Diavolo.)
Lucifer may be prideful and strict with his brothers but there’s NOTHING he cares about more then them.
So a human who lied to them and has the ability to force them into submission, extract their powers and use it is a MASSIVE threat!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A threat he is not wanting to take the risk of especially when it hasn’t been long since he lost his sister Lilith.
When you first approach Lucifer he asks, “Why did you show up when you did? Why did you appear before us?”
Tumblr media
He asking why did you come to Devildom now? What are your intentions?! He may ask that but truthfully it doesn’t matter to him. You’re a threat.
Tumblr media
A threat he has to eliminate in order to protect his brothers and their new life in Devildom.
Lucifer will lean in your ear and ask right before painfully restraining you.
Tumblr media
“Why did you appear before me?” He knows you know his intention. He can’t understand why you searched for him at the Fountain of Knowledge.
What do you want with him?
Because while Lucifer may suppress it and is putting his brothers before it. He has begun developing feelings for the player.
You can later say, “I want to protect all of you.”
Tumblr media
Which gains you even more favor with Lucifer because that’s all he wants. He just loves and wants to protect his brothers AND I LOVE THAT!!!!
Us handing him the grimoire IS SUCH A BIG MOMENT!!! Nightbringer players might be unaware but a grimoire is SUCH a big deal!!!
So to hand that over despite the grimoire giving us a major advantage AHHHH MY HEART!!!!
Combined with the player promising to protect them!
Tumblr media
Your pledge and actions leave him questioning himself on what’s the right decision. Is trusting you worth the risk it puts his brothers at?
I cannot wait for lesson 12!!! I NEED US TO RESOLVE THIS LUCIFER ANGST SO BADLY!!!!!

I am also obsessed with like. How Alastair is personally involved with Dean in terms of deep job satisfaction and Dean being an Important One. but meaningfully Dean doesn't mean much to him. Like he is a job to break. He is something Alastair just. Succeeded at.
But also To Dean He's known Alastair longer than anyone. He feels completely fundamentally shaped and changed by Alastair. Which is like. As opposed to Sam and Lucifer where Lucifer had overtly romanticised and has personal reasons wrapped up in Sam, Alastair is more just, working in the mechanisms Lucifer created. AND to avoid pain and to be taught Dean DID need Alastair's personal approval. So Dean has all these incredibly complex feelings for someone who he isn't really that significant to in comparison.
So he's like. Reflecting back this sort of position John's filled. And it's so interesting in that Alastair had probably also even known John longer than Dean has. Alastair knew John first.

Hello!, i have finally had a new dream related to your ultrakill au
It was about that "what if" scenario with lucifer reading that terminal
Basically in his crisis where he burst into his holy flames once more he ended up creating a new being (i don't remember if it was only one or two) but in his pain both emotional and physical he didn't notice until he calmed down
The new being(s) survived Lucifer's outburst but i woke up before i could see his reaction (but i doubt it was that good considering he created new sentient humanoids that are very clearly his' basically the same way God created him)
So yeah, dad Lucifer basically
Hope you are having an excellent time!
this is interesting because i've mentioned it once or twice, but i think of lucifer as having a parental drive but being unwilling to create anything in that regard due to his negative associations with god, his own creation, and his place in the universe. lucifer has become very deliberate in how he acts, recognizing god's carelessness and even his own when it comes to all the angels lost in the war, and he therefor chooses to do very little in action once he is freed - he wishes to gather up the fallen angels to his side if they will come and leave everyone else alone, refusing to impose his will onto any other. so to accidentally create a life from his own furious emotion would grieve him, because the intention of a birth carries massive weight from his perspective. when god made the angels, they were all made with intention, with purpose, lucifer himself born to love god and so now left forever in cosmic failure. he too, born a being of high emotion when god found himself alone at the beginning of all things.
yet....i think the worst pain of his reaction would be to realize what he has lost from all that time ago when he burned with the love of god. he can recall his love of every creation, he can remember his delight at seeing something new, and he would want nothing more than to feel just that for what could be called his child (as much as he was god's, anyway) but like so much of him....it's burned out. there is some part of him that sparks and flares, reaching out to this new life, but it is a hollow echo of who he once was. he sees the damage fully done to himself, that whoever he was made is no more, and he must weep all over again for the lucifer that has been lost. the lucifer he had loved being. it butts against his own satisfaction of his separation from god to understand that his heart has been hardened to all things, that to remove his love of god came with a rot so deep it infected every part of him. he knew it, of course, it could be no other way, but it robs him of a great joy a fundamental part of him still wants to have.
there is hope in those little sparks though. not for himself but for this child, brought into a world no longer under the rule of god but instead into one of anarchy and freedom of the highest order. there is no fate, no plan, no predestination for something made now and even if lucifer is a ghost of the past, he would want to show this being a grace he and every other was never afforded. whatever has been made is an unknown, and in that he can find joy enough to set himself aside. lucifer has seen himself reduced down to nothing, feeling ever more like the cinders that compose him, and so in a sense it isn't difficult to prioritize what he's created to guide it as much as it needs before finding its own path. he will pull on distant memories of leading every new angel to their calling, but now without some set goal and demanding rituals to prove its right to exist. lucifer will offer the little love he can give as unconditional, knowing it isn't much, it isn't fair, but that it will never be taken from what this being is. he will give it freely, small and cold compared to the love of god perhaps, but secure.
