I was very nervous(sitting at a work meeting) and I had to doodle comfortable things, to keep myself together. So I made a sketch for this one. Tom and Goldberry, my favorite couple...in the end they are maybe too sweet, I am almost ashamed to post it here x_x

The definition of "masterpiece" itself! Let's begin... Go to Amazon
Take your time with this one, it's worth it If your seriously interested in the lotr saga this is a must read. I studied the first several chapters and looked up so many terms in order to understand it, but it was worth it. Go to Amazon
As a HUUUUGE Tolkien fan, this is a quintessential ... As a HUUUUGE Tolkien fan, this is a quintessential piece of my collection! It's not the easiest read, but once one is able to get through it, their knowledge of Middle-earth and Tolkienology will be significantly deeper! You'll never read the books or watch the movies the same after reading this! Go to Amazon
For epic scale, look no further The world building from the beginning of time is the most satisfiying I have read. The number of factions and characters introduced is more the can be absorbed but it's worth the sense of "world" it creates. Some may find the prose "over the top" or heavy handed but I find it gripping and dramatic, truly great at manifesting emotions into words. If you like tragic stories, look no further. From Turin to the Noldor, plenty of pain and suffering to go around in this book. Having read fantasy for 20+ years, this is the novel I have re-read the most. From those who value the epic scale, this is a can't miss. If you prefer to get deep into a couple main characters, then probably not a good choice. Go to Amazon
For those who love Tolkien, or want some in depth fantasy For those who love Tolkien, or want some in depth fantasy, this is where you will find it. However, the pace is extremely slow, especially the chapter concerning men. Though the pace is slow, there are memorable characters, and it is interesting to read especially after reading "The Hobbit," and "The Lord of the Rings," respectively, as the world seems that much more alive, since there is a history to it. "The Silmarillion," is best for those who love everything concerning, Tolkien, or are die hard fans of fantasy, as the pace, and at times overly wordiness of the book can be daunting. Go to Amazon
I did enjoy reading it though It gives the answers to what happened in the First and Second ages of the Middle Earth myths. It was less developed in the story telling, but that's because I don't believe Tolkein actually finished it. It was published after his death being edited by his son, Christopher.I did enjoy reading it though, with it filling in many of the questions raised about the earlier ages in the Lord of the Rings. This Edition Does Justice To The Story First, I am not an accomplished reader. You should know that I labor just to read my computer magazines by the time the next one arrives. I hope you can appreciate that I even made it through the Silmarillion! Go to Amazon
and I enjoyed it even though its a hard read complex book, but Im a Tolkien lover, and I enjoyed it even though its a hard read. Go to Amazon
