Why are all the Peacock Miraculous users blueberries???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And those creepy magenta eyes.
What makes the Peacock so special??? No other miraculous does this!! Explain yourselves!!!
(Disclaimer: Monarch with the Butterfly is purple, but that’s with almost every other miraculous and he’s going crazy with power so I’m over looking it.)
EDIT: I took matters into my own hands and made a version of Argos that does not have blueberry skin 😂🦚

Battle Tendency Liveblog: JJBA Ch.109-113
Tumblr media
Hard to believe we’re at the end of this crazy ride.
Tumblr media
Last time, Joseph had defeated Kars, only for Stroheim to order his men to finish Kars off with UV rays.  Stroheim just wanted Kars to hurry up and die faster, and maybe he also wanted credit for the kill, but instead he played right into Kars hands.    After Joseph kicked his ass, Kars put on a Stone Mask he had stowed away somewhere, and he installed the Red Stone of Aja into the Mask.
I should probably go over that a bit, since it hasn’t been mentioned for a while.   Kars has been perfecting the Stone Mask technology for thousands of years.   It turns humans into vampires, but for his species it unlocks even greater powers.   But Kars hit a wall in his research.   He wanted to design a mask that would make him the ultimate life form, but he lacked the means to power such a mask.   He discovered an answer in the Aja Stone, a mineral that focuses light, but he needed a bigger, more flawless sample of it, and that’s the Stone he’s using right now, the one he captured from Lisa Lisa.
So instead of killing Kars, Stroheim accidentally made his lifelong ambition come true.   One nice touch I just noticed is that the Mask itself falls apart as soon as it’s finished its task.    I suppose, in theory, someone else could have tried it on and get the same power boost as Kars?  Would it even work on a normal human?  Well, we’ll never find out.
There’s a couple of ways to interpret this.   One is that Kars’ “Super” Mask was highly experimental, and it must have been untested, since he’d never had Lisa’s stone until now.   So it’s possible that the thing burned itself out after a single use.   The other interpretation is that Kars designed this Mask to self-destruct after the first use, because it was never intended for anyone else but himself.    The whole point of this was to become the Ultimate Life Form, the very pinnacle of all living creatures on Earth.   I think it was implied that Wammu and Esidisi were expecting to share in this power when the time came, but why would Kars have ever allowed for this?   What’s the point of being the greatest and best in the world if you have to share that top spot with two other guys?
Tumblr media
Stroheim realllly wants to believe this is all a big fluke, and that he didn’t just make the bad guy stronger.   The Ripple wound on Kars’ arm is still there, so Stroheim figures he’ll die anyway.    Except Kars doesn’t seem too bothered by his injury.   And then...
Tumblr media
Yeah, so Kars not only repairs his injured arm, he reshapes his hand into a squirrel.   Joseph speaks for us all: What the fuck?
Tumblr media
For a hot minute, everyone thinks the squirrel he made is kind of cute, until Kars sends it to find another squirrel and kill it.  Then the Kars-squirrel tears a hole through Stroheim and carves a trench in a Nazi soldier from chest to eyeball.   Then it rejoins Kars’ wrist, and turns into a flower, and then a butterfly.   Some Part 5 and 6 pre-references for ya.
Tumblr media
Then the sun comes up.    Wait, the Joseph/Wammu fight happened around midnight, right?    How many hours have these folks been out here?    And it’s February, too, so this had to have been a long night.  Anyway, the sun comes up, so we’re saved, right?   Wrong.  Sunlight doesn’t hurt Kars anymore, thanks to the power he got from his special mask.  So now what are they supposed to do?
Tumblr media
Well, Joseph’s going to use his last resort: running away.    Also, he grabs the Aja Stone, for no apparent reason.    Kars grows a pair of wings to chase him.    He no longer cares about the Hamon users, because they’re no longer a threat to him.   But he wants to kill Joseph personally, both to celebrate his new powers and to avenge the deaths of Wammu and Kars.
Smokey joins Joseph, which doesn’t make much sense to Joseph, but Smokey wants to tell Joseph about Lisa Lisa being his mother.   Except Joseph’s a little too distracted by the eldritch horror that’s trying to murder him. Read the room, Smokey.
Tumblr media
Here’s a helpful diagram of Kars to explain what his deal is now.   Basically, he’s immortal and can regenerate and reshape his whole body, but he had that before, just by being a Pillar Man.   The big upgrade is that he’s no longer weak to sunlight (and by extension, the Ripple), and he can now replicate the traits of any life form on Earth.    He’s faster than cheetahs and has better hearing than bats and so on.   He can go for a full year without eating, and he no longer needs to sleep.    Sex is meaningless to him, because procreation is only important for lower life forms to maintain their species.   Kars has no need for children or bretheren.    “There is but only one summit.”
Maybe Wammu and Esidisi had understood that truth all along, and they never seriously expected Kars to share this power with them.   They practically worshipped Kars as it was, so maybe they were only doing this for the greater glory of their leader.
So what does Kars plan to do with all of this power he now has?   The Aja Stone was his only goal before, and that’s done.    He has no enemies to fear, and as Speedwagon observes, there’s no way left to kill him.    This page states that his only purpose now is to create a world to match his own desire, but what is that?   What’s Kars’ vision for the Earth now that he’s reached this point?
We never really find out, and I suppose that’s why it’s convenient that he decided to start out by killing Joseph.    For all we know, he would have just chilled out and left humanity alone after that, but this way there’s still an immediate threat to deal with.
Tumblr media
Miraculously, Joseph manages to stay ahead of Kars long enough to find the airplane that brought Stroheim here.   You’d think Kars could have caught up to him with all these fancy new powers, but Kars was never in much of a hurry.    He took his time to search for the Aja Stone, and he made it a point to trap Jojo and Lisa rather than risk fighting them fairly.  So even now, when he has such an overwhelming advantage, he seems to be playing things the same way.   He has no weaknesses, so he may as well take his time and stalk Joseph, if only to watch him squirm.
Joseph tries using the plane’s weapons to even the odds, but Kars grows armadillo hide on his wings to protect himself, and he fires the armor at Joseph like shrapnel.   So machinery doesn’t seem to make much of a difference.
Tumblr media
So Joseph just flies south, using the plane’s engines to give himself a comfortable lead.   He’ll run out of fuel in a couple of hours, but Speedwagon calls him on the radio and tells him that they’ll figure out a plan.   Except that Joseph already has his own plan.  There’s a volcanic island off the coast of Italy.  I assume this is Stromboli Island, since Italy has only three active volcanoes, and Mt. Stromboli is the only one on an island.   Anyway, Joseph plans to lure Kars into the volcano, and destroy him with molten lava.    I mean, Kars is still flammable, right?
Tumblr media
Speedwagon hates this idea, because he doesn’t see any way for Joseph to pull this off without getting killed in the process, and that sounds way too much like what happened to Joseph’s father and grandfather.  Oh, and his great-grandfather.   I didn’t notice George I up there until just now.   Speedwagon tries to tell Joseph about Lisa being his mom, but Joseph can’t hear him because of all the piranha noises in the plane.    Wait... what?
Tumblr media
Yeah, all the feathers that Kars turned into armor and launched into the fuselage?   Well, he’s still controlling those things, and now Kars has turned them into piranhas.   Well, I guess not literal fish, since they’d never survive up here.  The point is that Kars can control every cell in his body and mimic any animal traits he wants, so if he wants to make small bitey creatures to wreck Joseph’s plane, he might as well make them look like piranhas.    ALso he makes an octopus that tears up one of the engines.
Tumblr media
So Joseph bails out, but he’s a sitting duck in that parachute.    Kars calls him a butterfly caught in a web, which is the second time we’ve seen that analogy in Part 2.   Araki just out here telling everyone what Jolyne would be wearing in twelve years.
Tumblr media
But the parachute contains a dummy.    Why did Joseph waste time drawing a face on it?   Because he knew he had to fool Kars’ razor-sharp senses, of course.    Kars probably saw the dummy, and got suspicious, but then he noticed the eyes and mouth, and though “Oh, okay, I guess that’s a real person then.”
Anyway, this suckers Kars in so that Joseph can crash into him with his plane and they can both go into the volcano together.
Tumblr media
But Kars thinks he can tear up the plane before it lands.   Except a robot hand grabs him from behind, and he finds Stroheim stowed away.   Wait, so Stroheim outran Joseph AND Kars and hid in this plane before Joseph took off?
Tumblr media
Anyway, Stroheim manages to get Joseph out of the plane to relative safety, but he crushes his whole lower body in the process.  But it seems to be worth it, because Kars landed smack-dab in the volcano!  Awesome!   Fuck you, Kars, you screwed over Lisa Lisa, and that’s what you get!   He tries to protect himself, but he can’t grow a defense against 1000 degree heat...
Tumblr media
... is what I would say, except no, Kars totally does that.   Just when Joseph thinks Kars has succumed to the lava, Kars pops out and slices off Joseph’s left arm with his goofy blade.
Tumblr media
How the fuck did Kars survive?   Well, he couldn’t grow a lava-proof shell, but he could create a porous layer beneath the shell, and use the air inside to insulate the rest of his body from the heat.   That wouldn’t protect him indefinitely, but it was enough to get the drop on Joseph.
So that’s it then, right?  Not even molten lava can kill Kars, unless you could shove him down in there and keep him still for like ten minutes, and who’s going to pull that off?    Stroheim begins to lose all hope...
Tumblr media
Then we get a flashback to Kars’ origin.   Long, long ago, there was a race of subterranean humanoid with long lifespans and an aversion to sunlight.   Prehistoric humans thought of them as gods or demons because of their reclusiveness and power.   Also, they would eat humans and animals, so that probably made them dangerous, too.
But I don’t think they were nearly as powerful as the Pillar Men we’ve seen in this story.   I say this because the flashback establishes that Kars was the one who discovered the latent power in their brains, and he was the one who invented the Stone Mask technology to harness that latent power.   So it stands to reason that much of what he and the others could do was the result of Stone Mask enhancements.   The problem is that those enhancements increased the amount of blood they needed to consume, and the others in the Clan feared that Kars’ experiments would destroy their whole ecosystem.   So when they tried to stop Kars, he killed them all.   The only survivors were himself, Esidisi, and two young children who grew up to become Wammu and Santana.
So that story tells you something about what Kars might do with this newfound “ultimate” power.   He didn’t achieve this for the good of his own people, because they’re all dead now, and he wiped most of them out personally.   If he would do that to his own kind, the rest of the Earth would be expendable to him.
Tumblr media
Back to the present, Joseph’s not giving up yet.   He tries to use the Ripple one more time, but it doesn’t work.   Worse, Kars counters with his own Ripple.    Because Kars can do that now, you see.    He’s got the powers of all life on Earth, and that includes Ripple users, I suppose.   Worse, Kars’ Hamon power is hundreds of times greater, so he ends up getting badly burned on his right knee.
So now Joseph’s completely out of tricks, and he starts to accept the inevitable.   Kars decides that the best way to kill Joseph would be to destroy him with his own finisher, Ripple Overdrive.  So he charges up the most powerful Hamon attack he can muster, and just as he’s about to strike...
Tumblr media
Joseph impulsively grabs the Red Stone of Aja and uses it to block, kind of like how he stymied Kars back on that cliff in Switerland.   Only this time, Kars doesn’t hold back, and the Hamon attack is amplified.    It bursts through Joseph’s right hand and into the volcano below.
The narration says that not even Joseph really understood any of this.   He just sort of acted on instinct.   That bothered me once, but now I see that it wasn’t entirely unconscious impulse.   Back in Venice, when Lisa first told Joseph about the Aja Stone, Joseph suggested destroying it to deny Kars his prize. But Lisa said there was a legend that foretold that Kars could never be defeated without the Aja Stone.   And that would at least explain why Joseph picked the thing up back in Switzerland before he fled to Mt. Stromboli.    Maybe it was unconscious action that made him pick up the stone in this fateful moment, but I think it was a more conscious thought that made him take the stone with him in the first place.   On some level, he remembered that legend.
Okay, so there’s a mega-ultra-Super-Saiyan-5-Ripple that just went into a live volcano.    What good does that do?   Well, it makes the volcano erupt, and it launches Joseph and Kars into the air.    So what?   Kars can fly.    Yeah, he could, but...
Tumblr media
You know, Joseph’s lost hand really left an impression on me when I first watched the anime of Part 2, but now that I’ve read the manga, I’ve noticed tons of severed and wounded forearms all through this story, almost as if Araki had been building up to this moment.    I’d make a Part 4 joke, but nah, that’s too easy.   But it wasn’t even that long ago that Wammu lost both of his hands, and then he launched them as Joseph to distract him.    Kars lost his hand before he grew it back and turned it into a squirrel.    Hell, Stroheim launched his robot hand at Kars to distract him for the volcano crash.   And now Joseph’s hand has somehow launched itself into Kars’ throat to distract him again!
I’m assuming that Hamon energy has a lot to do with this.   You’d think Joseph’s hand wouldn’t have survived getting fired up this high, and it shouldn’t be powerful enough or alive enough to bother Kars this much, but it does.   So I’m chalking it up to all that Ripple energy.  It briefly reanimated Joseph’s hand and made it follow Kars up to this altitude, kind of like how Jonathan controlled Wang Chung’s decapitated body at the end of Part 1.
So Joseph taunts Kars about this, and implies that he planned this somehow.    And when Kars pauses to ask if he did plan this, more rocks and stuff from the volcano hit him and send him even higher up into the air.
Tumblr media
And Joseph claims that he did plan this entire thing!  That’s bullshit, but he hopes Kars will believe it, if only to make him more frustrated.    Maybe Joseph didn’t plan all this out, but he seems to have deduced what’s happening here.
Tumblr media
Kars has been launched so high into the air, and at such an incredible speed, that he’s achieved escape velocity.    Does Kars even realize what that means?   I mean, he’s super-intelligent, especially now, and he’s been alive for thousands of years, but what could he really know about outer space?    Has he ever even considered it before?  It seems like all of his ambitions involve the Earth, and only the Earth, and everything living upon it.
As for Joseph, the chunk of rock he’s on does not fly into space.   Instead, it starts to fall back down, and Joseph assumes that he’s probably not going to survive the impact.    Eight hours later, Stroheim makes it back and informs Speedwagon that Joseph must have died in the eruption.
Tumblr media
But Kars isn’t worried at first, because he thinks he has this whole “vacuum of space” thing figured out.  He just takes a page from Wammu’s playbook and makes air jets on his back to expel compressed gas from his body, like the maneuvering thrusts on a spacecraft.  Except that’s not nearly enough to counteract the force of the volcano that sent him up here.
Yeah, Kars has no idea how space works.  Instinctively, he probably counted on friction to slow him down, except there is no friction in space.   He probably also expected his air jets to push him a little bit at a time, and maybe he could pull in more air as needed, except there is no more air.   Even the air from his body is denied to him, because it just dissipates into the vacuum of space.    Kars talks about the air freezing as it comes out, but I don’t think that’s right.   What’s happening to him is like when you use one of those compressed gas canisters to clean your keyboard.    Release a lot of the gas at once, and the can starts to get cold.   That’s because the liquefied gas left inside the can now has more room, and it begins to boil as it expands.    This draws in heat from the surroundings, which makes the can feel cold to the touch.    That’s what’s happening to Kars here.   All he’s doing it losing all his body heat.   Maybe some of the air really is freezing around him, but I don’t know.   It depends on whether the sunlight is hitting him, I think.
Anyway, the last thing Kars says is “I can’t go back!!!” And that’s what makes this so perfect.   In the anime, we see the Earth recede into the distance as he continues to tumble further and further away. By surviving the lava, Kars had “mastered” the Earth, but now he’s been separated from the Earth.   He’s got all this incredible power, but without the Earth, he’s got no one to use it on.
Tumblr media
And then we come to the pièce de résistance of Battle Tendency: The epilogue page that establishes, in no uncertain terms, that Kars never returned to the Earth.   There’s no miracle escape this time, no clever trick or loophole.   He simply doesn’t have the necessary acceleration to push himself back the way he came.
Did he die?   Nope, because he made himself immortal, remember?   Not even sunlight or starvation can destroy him now.   But now death is the only thing he craves, because he’s completely alone and has nothing to do.   I can’t imagine he’s very comfortable like this either, because it’s incredibly cold in outer space, and Kars must be able to sense that cold, even if it doesn’t actually hurt him.
And this is such a fitting punishment for a villain like Kars.  Just as Stroheim wanted to become superior and lost his humanity in the process, Kars ruthlessly sacrificed friend and foe alike to achieve this Ultimate form, and what good does it do him?    It’s become his prison, his hell.    At long last, he’s become the supreme being, a world unto himself, but with no one around to lord it over, there’s really no point to any of it.
I just really love this ending.   I’m not sure how else I can express it.    This is what should have happened to Akio Othori in Revolutionary Girl Utena.    But Araki was brace enough to do it to Kars.
I suppose I could attempt some exercise in JoJo Part Comparison and connect Kars’ final fate to all the other JoJo villains.    But I dunno, this is getting pretty long in the tooth as it is.   I’ll just say that I’m suddenly reminded of Reimi’s final words to Kira in Part 4, when Kira asks where he’s being taken.   “Who knows?   But I’m sure it’s somewhere you won’t be able to rest in peace.”
Tumblr media
So all that’s left is the matter of Joseph’s funeral-- Nah, just kidding, he’s not even dead.   What’s weird is that Smokey says he met Joseph “six months ago”, which seems a lot longer than the events of this story.    Anyway, Joseph returned to New York, only to find everyone at the cemetary.   He wonders who they’re mourning, and he’s shocked to discover it’s him.
Tumblr media
So yeah, the rock Joseph was on acted as a “shield”, and he managed to survive the fall, and even ended up near Venice, where Suzie Q found him and tended to his injuries.  Stroheim even set him up with a robotic hand to replace the one Kars lopped off.   I guess Stroheim never sent word of any of this to the U.S., probably because of Nazi Germany gearing up for World War II.
Anyway, Suzie took care of him for like two weeks, and they got married.   So in a way, Joseph did follow in the legacy of Jonathan.   Not in the “dying young” way, but the “Beat the bad guy and wake up in the care of a gorgeous blonde lady who eventually marries you” kind of way.   You love to see it.   But Suzie forgot to send a telegram to New York to let everyone know Joseph was okay, which is why everyone is so shocked and why Joseph is so shocked about them being shocked.
Tumblr media
Then we get the epilogues for all the surviving characters.   I mentioned this when I liveblogged the Part 5 manga a few years ago, but the stark contrast between Battle Tendency and Vento Aureo is that Part 5 is very ambiguous about its ending.   We know who wins and who loses and who survives, but that isn’t really enough.   We don’t know what will happen to Giorno Giovanna after Part 5.   Does he live up to his lofty dream, or does he succumb to corruption like his wicked father?  I think that’s intentional, because Giorno is the “golden wind” in the story.    He’s an agent of change, but we don’t get to see the effects of his efforts, only the cause that he fights for.    But Part 2 operates in the exact opposite way.   We know exactly how and when Speedwagon dies.   I’m a little confused how Stroheim could have died at Stalingrad when Kars and a volcano couldn’t kill him, but maybe the Russians had Stand powers.    I think the only minor mystery is that we don’t know what happened to Lisa Lisa after 1948.    It’s likely that she survived into Part 3, and maybe beyond, but we never see her again.
It’s also kind of weird how upbeat this epilogue is about reporting on the deaths of so many characters.   Like, Stroheim died in one of the worst battles in human history, but he went out on his own terms, so it’s cool?  I guess?   Even the characters without deaths, like Smokey, it’s sort of implicit that he’ll die sooner or later.   But it’s a good thing because it’s final and proper.    It’s something Kars craves now, but can never experience.  A life worth living, made more precious by its limitations.  Kars tried to use cheat codes in nature, and he ended up clipping through the map and making the game unplayable.   But Smokey, he‘ll be mayor someday.
Tumblr media
As for Joseph, we see him in an airport in 1987, bullying Japanese people because his daughter married a Japanese guy and moved there.    He’s headed to Japan right now to see her and his grandson, who probably doesn’t even recognize him, it’s been so long.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, he appreciates his Walkman, which is either Joseph giving the Japanese some credit, or maybe he’s just too dense to notice the irony.
I hate that he’s listening to the Beatles, because the Beatles are overrated trash.  My favorite thing about the Part 2 anime is how they changed his music to “Bloody Stream” by Coda, which a) kicks ass and b) wasn’t a song by the shitty Beatles.
Tumblr media
And that’s Battle Tendency.   Kind of neat how it closes on Joseph’s flight departing to visit his daughter and grandson, in contrast to the final panel of Part 1, which showed Erina floating in a coffin alone in the ocean.   Joseph has bucked the curse and he’s graduated to Part 3, for better or worse.
But I feel kind of weird leaving it here, because I do love the way the anime wrapped up, so I’ll close out with this:

Miraculous Ladybug in Overwatch 2 - Zero Hour
This is an idea I really liked, but couldn’t find any fan-art or fan-fiction about, so I thought, “What the hell, I’ll do it myself.” I worked on this for the past week, week and a half, and I wanted to post it here on Tumblr to see the kind of feedback it gets. Kind of like a test run (for a lack fo a better term). So let me know if you have any criticisms or notes that could help me make this better. Otherwise, I hope you guys like it! Enjoy!
Paris, France. What had been known to be the battleground between Hawkmoth and Ladybug was now much worse than ever before. Battle droids had invaded the city, firing at people without mercy. Luckily, Ladybug had responded soon after their arrival, and she had summoned all her previous partners as well. Divided into three groups, the heroes spread out across Paris and did their best to save Paris. But, hours passed into the fight, yet the robots continued to attack with no end in sight.
A police officer was running from the fight, covering an omnic and a human child. The three took cover behind some cars, however the null droids weren't stopping.
Suddenly a metal staff was thrown through the droid’s head, defeating it, and soon after, one of Paris’s heroes landed on its shoulders.
Chat Noir pulled his staff out of the droid’s head, and leapt out of the way as the other null droids began to fire at him. “What are these things?!” He yelled, dodging their shots.
Ladybug swung to the street level, landing in front of her partner. “I don’t know,” Swinging her yoyo, she created a shield against the robots’ projectiles, “But something tells me they’re not from Hawkmoth.”
From the street around the corner, Rena Rouge and Carapace ran to the group of heroes. “Ladybug!” Rena exclaimed, “It’s worse than we thought! Those droids just keep coming!”
Carapace added, “And we’ve had to recharge once already.”
Suddenly the droids fired again. Ladybug grunted as their shots hit her yo-yo barrier, then Carapace lent his shield to help block their shots as Chat Noir and Rena Rouge stood back.
The spotted heroine looked around frantically, before seeing a collection of cars turned over behind them. “Everyone, take cover behind the cars!” Ladybug ordered. The four heroes rushed over to the flipped vehicles, leaping over to the other side and pressing their backs against them. The four heroes panted for breath as the droids continuing to fire in their direction. Ladybug noticed the officer and the two others from before were not too far from her, and from the sounds she heard, the droids were closing in on them.
Ladybug opened her yoyo and called the two other hero groups she had assigned, hoping she could get them to help. The screen split in two, showing the snake and dragon heroes in currently different locations. “Viperion! Ryoko! We need help. Can you get to our location?” Ladybug asked hopefully.
Viperion frowned, “I’m sorry Ladybug, but my team needs to recharge. These droids aren’t letting up!”
“And my group is the only thing between these things and the people.” Ryoko explained, “If we leave now, there will be nothing to protect them.”
Ladybug sighed, “That’s alright, you two. We’ll figure something out. Be careful.”
Ryoko and Viperion nodded as Ladybug ended the call. She turned to her teammates, “Looks like it’s just us now.” She told them.
“Wait, where’s Queen Bee?!” Chat Noir yelled. The teammates looked at each other in worry.
Just then, a fifth figure leapt over them and landed next to the cat hero. Queen Bee caught her breath before turning to the other heroes, “I saw some kind of flying ship on its way here.” She yelled, “It could be more of these things!”
Ladybug groaned, “Great, just what we needed.”
“What do we do Ladybug?” Rena asked.
Ladybug looked down in thought. She looked to her yoyo. ‘Maybe it’s time to use Lucky charm. Then again, if I use it now, and there’s still more droids to come like Chloe said, we’d all be in trouble.’ Ladybug groaned. Her team was very much out of their league! They could actually lose, and that thought terrified her.
Suddenly, an animalistic sound came from above the group, and a loud crash from the street. Ladybug stood up and looked over the car they were behind. She gasped at what was there; Some kind of gorilla had crushed a few droids that had gotten close to them. It wore some kind of armor, and was holding onto what looked like a weapon.
The other Miraculous users soon joined her, and were just as surprised (if not, more). Even the Officer, omnic, and young kid were staring at him.
The gorilla turned back towards them. “Bonjour Ladybug.” He spoke, taking the heroes for another loop. “We’re here to help!” The mammal leapt off towards the droids, his weapon firing bolts of electricity, downing the droids in his path.
The five heroes stared at the mammal in shock. Carapace mumbled, “Was that a... gorilla?”
After a second or two of processing what just happened, Ladybug shook her head and frowned with new determination, “Now’s not the time for questions!” She pulled her yoyo back out, “We’ve still got a chance!” The heroine leapt over the car and ran to join the new fighter. The other heroes followed her lead, striking droids in their weak spots, and watching each other’s backs. They were so focused; they hadn’t seen the ship Queen Bee mentioned was landing nearby.
While fighting through a group of droids, Ladybug noticed some of the robots had begun to pile onto the gorilla. Ladybug swung her yoyo to pull some of them off, but they kept coming.
“Ladybug! Look out!” Chat Noir cried out.
The spotted hero turned and saw a droid aiming a gun at her. But before it could fire, shots of ice hit it from behind, then froze its gun to his head. The Droid fell, and Ladybug saw a girl in blue winter attire holding a strange gun connected to a backpack.
“Good work Mei!” The gorilla smiled, despite being piled on by more droids.
The girl waved, “Thanks.” Then she gasped as a nearby droid was getting up, but was shot down by yet another newcomer who had quite literally flashed in, holding two rapid fire pistols.
“Watch your back!” She said before zipping off.
The Gorilla growled as he stood up, throwing the droids off him. Ladybug snapped out of her stupor once again, and went back to fighting. Before long, Ladybug remembered the three civilians nearby. She turned to one of the other heroes, “Hey!” Ladybug called out, “It’s Mei, right?”
The girl in blue nodded, “Yeah, that’s me!” She replied, freezing a droid in a wall of ice.
Ladybug swung her yoyo around a droid’s neck, then grunted as she pulled the line tightly, slicing the droid’s head off. “We need to get those people to safety!” She gestured to the small group still by the flipped cars.
The gorilla tipped a car in front of her, protecting her from oncoming fire. Ladybug sent him a grateful smile, “Thanks.”
The mammal smiled, then turned to Mei, “Get the civilians to the ship!” He called out.
Mei gave the heroine a thumbs up, “You got it!” The girl started running to the officer and the two others, when the ground suddenly shook. Mei turned around, frightened. “What was that?”
All the heroes looked and saw the largest droid they’ve seen appear from around the corner. It aimed its left arm at them, then fired rockets. The gorilla stood between the explosions and Ladybug, faltering away from the flames as Ladybug stared at the droid in terror. Suddenly the robot’s chest opened up, revealing a cannon glowing red.
The gorilla turned to everyone and yelled, “TAKE COVER!”
The cannon fired a red laser, streaming down the road. Each hero leapt out of the way, Mei helping the Civilians as the laser sliced through their ship.
Ladybug quickly got back on her feet as her teammates gathered around her, just as frightened. But before they could do anything, the line of destruction the laser caused began to erupt into flames.
The Miraculous heroes gasped in terror. Carapace leapt to the front of his group, holding his shield out, “Shell-ter!” He yelled as the fire gained on them. A dome of glowing green surrounded them, but by then, the explosions had caught up, and sent the five heroes flying backwards. Carapace’s shield may have protected them from the fire, but the force of the explosion was too strong.
Mei acted just as quickly, creating an ice wall in front of the civilians to protect them, but was unable to save herself.
The flames and smoke died down as Ladybug groaned in pain. Looking around, she saw her four teammates on the ground, surrounded by debris. They were conscious, but were likely injured.
“Winston!”
Ladybug looked around, seeing the hero with spiked hair and goggles holding Mei, with the police officer, omnic and child looking over them. Ladybug then noticed Mei’s eyes were closed, and looked pale.
“Oh no.” Ladybug whispered in fear. She grunted as she got to her feet, then rushed over to Mei and the other hero.
“Winston!” The fast hero yelled, looking over to the gorilla who was starting to come to. “Mei, stay with me. Winston!” She cried.
The gorilla, who Ladybug now knew as Winston, got up and walked over to them. Ladybug and the officer stepped aside for him. “Mei.” He said sadly.
The girl in blue sighed in pain, leaning against her teammate. “She needs help.” The hero in goggles said, “We can’t stay here!”
“Ladybug!” The spotted heroine turned to see Chat Noir calling out to her while running up to the group. Her heart sank at the sight of Chat Noir limping with blood coming out of a cut over his mask, Carapace helping a wounded Rena Rouge, and Queen Bee holding her arm as she winced in pain. Ladybug reached out for Chat to lean against her, which he gladly accepted. “We’re in pretty bad shape.” He grunted, “And that giant robot is still coming.”
Carapace solemnly said, “I can’t believe my shield didn’t work.” He looked down at Rena, worried as she kept her right foot off the ground.
Suddenly the giant droid started to fire at them again. Winston held his arms up to shield the group as the Officer and omnic protected the child with them. The Miraculous heroes covered their heads, leaning over in fear of getting hurt.
Ladybug looked over her team, and the other team of heroes. They were beaten, bruised, and needed medical care. Plus, she knew some of her partners were probably going to detransform soon. This fight wasn’t going to end in their favor.
Just then, Winston spoke up. “Tracer, get everyone out of here. I’ll hold the line.”
Ladybug looked at him. His face was determined, and there was something in his eyes that told her he knew what had to be done.
“But…” Mei muttered, “You said to stick together.”
Winston turned to her, “Don’t worry. I’ll be right behind you.” He looked up to Tracer.
Tracer’s mouth twitched, looking for what to say, before looking back at him. “You’d better be.” She exclaimed.
As Winston nodded and grabbed his weapon, Ladybug understood what he was going to do, and couldn’t find it in herself to let him do it alone. She walked up to Winston, “I’ll help you hold them off.” She spoke proudly.
The gorilla shook his head, “Miss Ladybug. This is not your fight-”
“It is my fight!” She interrupted him, “This is our city! And I promised to protect it until my last breath.” She turned to her partners, “The rest of you, get to safety.”
“WHAT?!” Chat Noir gasped, “No way! I’m staying with you!” He walked to her side. “We’ve been partners from the beginning. I’m not about to let you do this alone! And I’m not taking ‘no’ for an answer!”
Ladybug opened her mouth to say something, but just sighed. She knew Chat Noir too well to know he wasn’t joking around anymore. He wasn’t going to leave her side, especially not now. So, she wasn’t going to tell him otherwise. Ladybug looked to the other three, “Rena Rouge, Carapace, Queen Bee. We’ll buy you some time, then meet up with you later. I promise.”
Queen Bee’s lip quivered, “Well… you… you better!” She remarked, though truthfully, she was trying to stay strong.
Rena Rouge looked at Ladybug, “Ladybug… Please, stay safe.” She mumbled.
Ladybug nodded. “I will.” She turned Tracer and the officer, “Now all of you, go!” She ordered. The group quickly started to run down the street, the officer helping Mei the same way Carapace was helping Rena Rouge. As they ran, Mei and Tracer looked back at Winston, as the other three Miraculous bearers did the same for Ladybug and Chat Noir.
The three remaining heroes stood together, glaring up at the droid. Ladybug swung her yoyo, Chat Noir took his staff out, and Winston held onto his gun. The giant’s right arm cannon began to charge up, yet they stood their ground as the giant fired three glowing orbs of energy.
Suddenly something landed in front of the heroes and deflected the robot’s shots. Two of them hit the groups of smaller droids on the street, and the last one flew back towards the giant, travelling up its arm before exploding near its face. The giant stumbled backwards into the nearby building.
Ladybug gasped in awe, the other heroes stopped running, and the newcomer stood up, revealing a glowing green visor under his hood. In fact, Ladybug noticed his entire body seemed to be made of metal and green biolights, and on his back were two swords, one of which he had used to deflect the shots.
“Genji.” Winston gasped.
From the cyborg’s hand, three shurikens emerged. Genji threw them, taking down three droids, before slicing another in half with his sword and continuing onto others.
By now, Tracer, Mei, and the others had come back (even the three civilians), all gaping in awe. Suddenly, the sound of honking came from the street nearby. Tracer and Winston turned to see a metal truck barreling down the street. A figure in a large metal suit with a giant war hammer burst out. “Hammer Down!” They yelled, destroying nearby droids, and forcing others off the ground. A chain then whipped through the remaining robots, before returning to its owner; a young lady in metal armor, similar to that of the other hero, only much smaller and without a helmet.
Tracer leapt into the air in excitement. “Yes! The cavalry's here!” She excitedly shook Winston’s shoulder. She brought her pistols out before zapping back into the fight.
Winston meanwhile, looked up to see something flying over them, dropping bombs of energy at the droids. The figure was robotic, looked feminine, and was primarily white with blue features. She turned to the group and smiled, her face some kind of hologram. “Hello Winston!”
“Echo!” Winston smiled.
Ladybug couldn’t help but smile as well. She looked to Chat Noir, who felt the same way. Suddenly a bright light shone from above them all. From it, an angelic figure descended next to Mei, with glowing wings and light blonde hair. She placed her hand on Mei’s shoulder, “Let’s get you back in the fight.” She said, a light trailing from her shoulder to Mei’s, healing her wounds.
Mei gasped in awe. “Woah.”
The angelic female then turned to the three injured Miraculous heroes, bringing some sort of staff out from behind her. Streams of yellow light from her staff trailed to each of the three heroes individually, healing them to perfect condition.
Rena Rouge stood on her own again, looking at Queen Bee and Carapace with joy. “No way!” She smiled. The woman even sent the streams to Ladybug and Chat Noir, their cuts and bruises healing until they had no trace.
Ladybug smiled, “Thank you!” She called out.
Suddenly, the giant droid blared. All the heroes turned to see it getting back on its feet. The cannon from its chest opened up and fired at them.
The girl in armor called out, “Interlock shields!” The two armored fighters created a large wall of blue light, which protected the heroes from the fire.
“How are we going to stop this thing?” The woman asked.
Ladybug pulled her yoyo out, and sent it upwards. “Lucky Charm!” She called out. Glowing light trailed from the yoyo and created a long piece of cloth. The item fell into Ladybug’s arms. She looked at it in confusion, “A scarf?”
Chat Noir jokes, “I don’t think that’s appropriate attire for this season.” He smirked.
Ladybug hummed in thought, looking around. Everything was grey, except for a few items which flashed in ladybug pattern; The scarf, Mei’s backpack, the mechanism on Tracer’s chest, the giant droid, and Winston. She thought hard about what to do, but ultimately came up with nothing. Ladybug groaned, “I don’t get it.” She mumbled. “The Lucky Charm always gives me what we need!”
Rena Rouge approached Ladybug with Carapace and Queen Bee close behind. They all looked over the item. Queen Bee remarked, “Are we supposed to make it snow or something?”
“In the middle of summer?” Rena replied in disbelief. “How would that even help?”
Just then, Winston looked over to Mei who was comforting the child. His face lit up, “Mei! Your backpack!”
Mei looked back at him, “Huh?” She looked to her bag, then gasped, “That could work!” She took the pack off, setting it on the ground, then began to tamper with it. “Tracer! Pulse bomb!” She called out.
Tracer held out a device, “Here you go!”
Ladybug watched them before looking to Winston, “Wait, what’s going on?”
Winston turned to her, “Think about it; your charm is meant for cold weather. Now, what happens to machinery,” He looked to the giant robot, then continued, “When it gets too cold in a short amount of time.”
Ladybug looked at the robot, then to her scarf. Suddenly, the idea clicked. “That’s it! You’re a genius!”
The gorilla smiled, “Actually, I’m a scientist.” He chuckled.
At that moment, the two armored heroes grunted at the droid’s laser continued to fire, their shield still staying strong. “It is getting hot!” The larger one yelled.
Ladybug frowned in determination, then turned to her partners. “Alright guys, we need to help them out!” She wrapped the scarf around her neck to keep it with her at all times. “Carapace, you stay here and keep the civilians safe. Rena Rouge, we need something to distract that giant. Queen Bee, do you think you can use your Venom to stun that thing?” she gestured to the giant droid.
Queen Bee smiled proudly, “You know I can!” She gripped her spinning top tightly.
Ladybug smiled, “Perfect. Chat Noir and I will make you a path. We go on my signal.”
Suddenly, Echo started firing against the giant. The giant ceased fire on the group of heroes, and focused on Echo. It began to shoot rockets at her, but the hero simply dodged them all gracefully.
Ladybug called out, “Rena! Now!”
The fox hero nodded and put her flute to her lips. A ball of magic gathered at the end as she played, before she drew her flute back, then used it to throw the ball to the robot. “Mirage!” She called out. The ball of energy landed by the Robot’s head, which it ineffectively tried to swat away. From the orange smoke, a second Echo appeared, which flew around the robot’s head, effectively distracting it.
Meanwhile, Mei locked the Pulse bomb into place. She picked it up, and held it out for Winston. “Ready!” She smiled.
Winston took the backpack, and turned to Tracer. “Go long!”
Tracer pulled her gloves tighter. “Right!” She nodded before disappearing in a streak of light blue.
Winston hit the activation button on the bomb, then swung the backpack around before throwing it into the air.
“Alright, let’s go!” Ladybug called out. She raced towards the giant with Chat Noir and Queen Bee right behind her. As Chat and Ladybug cleared a path for the bee hero to get to the robot, Tracer reappeared above the, and caught the backpack. “Got it!” She called out, before zipping off again, only to see the droid trying to swat her. Tracer looked in fear before hearing someone nearby.
“Ryuujin no ken wo kurae!” Genji called out, then sliced through the robot’s hand with ease, allowing Tracer to keep going.
Chat Noir was helping Ladybug clear a path for Queen Bee when he noticed a shadow growing larger around him. He looked up, seeing part of the robot’s hand falling towards him and Ladybug. Chat Noir reacted fast. “Cataclysm!” He yelled as an orb of darkness gathered in his hand before clutching it with his fist. His hand started to radiate black bubbles, before he leapt up towards the hand. With one swipe, the hand began to rust and decay, until it dissipated into nothing.
Ladybug saw this, and smiled as Chat Noir landed. “Nice one Kitty.” She remarked, making the cat hero smile.
At that same moment, Queen Bee had reached the foot of the giant. Spinning her weapon, she called out, “Venom!” She then grabbed onto the top as a stinger formed around her hand, beating like a heart. She didn’t hesitate as she punched the robot’s leg, the stinger disappearing in a flash of fellow which trailed up the robot’s leg, until it could no longer move.
Ladybug looked up, seeing Queen Bee’s magic take effect, then saw Tracer had landed in the robot through a hole near its head. She looked to her teammates and yelled. “Fall back!” Ladybug ordered, running back to the group of heroes. Queen Bee and Chat Noir followed suit, until they were back with Rena Rouge and Carapace.
Soon after, Tracer appeared between Mei and Winston, stumbling back to regain balance. Then, the bomb went off, the blast of ice originating from the robot as everyone shielded their faces. Ladybug was suddenly very happy her lucky charm was a scarf. When the air was clear, the robot had been encased in ice. The robot started to crack and crumble, until it all collapsed, creating a cloud of snow which rushed towards the heroes. Ladybug instinctively put the scarf around her face and closed her eyes, bracing herself for the cloud of ice coming her way.
When the icy wind faded, Ladybug looked around, seeing snowflakes drifting down towards her. Ladybug sighed with a mix of relief and wonder. The fight was over. Against all odds, they had won.
As the hero was taking it all in, the man in armor yelled, “Victory is ours, my friends!” Ladybug turned to the other hero group as they started gathering together.
“Hi Lena.” The armored girl waved.
“Brigette?” Tracer turned to her in surprise, “Oh my gosh you’ve grown!” She smiled, grabbing Brigette’s face to get a closer look. She then flashed over to Mei, “Oh! Everyone, this is Mei.” She said as the other three heroes approached them.
“Hi everyone.” The girl waved nervously.
“Ice to meet you.” Reinhart shook her hand as Brigette groaned in annoyance.
Ladybug walked to the other team with her partners behind her. Tracer was the first to notice them approaching.
Ladybug spoke up, “Excuse me?” She asked, gaining their attention, “Thank you all for what you did. We could never have beaten those things without you.”
Tracer smiled in return, “We’re happy to help.” She put her hands on her hips, “You’re Ladybug, right?”
The spotted heroine nodded, “Yep!” She then gestured to her friends, “And this is Chat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee.”
Mei exclaimed, “You guys were awesome out there!”
The angelic lady, named Mercy, looked around sadly. “We are terribly sorry for the damages those null droids have caused.”
Ladybug simply smiled, “No need to apologize. Besides,” Ladybug removed the scarf from around her neck, “If my lucky charm can fix damages caused by Akumas, something tells me this will be no different.” She held it low then tossed it high into the air. “Miraculous Ladybug!”
The scarf flashed into swarms of magical ladybugs which scattered across Paris. The swarms flew through the streets, erasing all the damage the droids had done and restoring Paris back to normal.
The other heroes watched in awe. The swarm even restored the ship Tracer and Mei had landed in.
“Woah.” Brigette awed.
“Remarkable.” Mercy smiled.
“Truly incredible.” Genji added.
“How is that possible?” Mei asked.
Chat Noir smiled, putting an arm around Ladybug’s shoulders, “That’s just one of the many perks our lady has to offer.”
Ladybug playfully removed his arm, “As long as your Cataclysm doesn’t cause too much trouble.” She joked, sending Chat a playful grin. The cat hero chuckled, rubbing the back of his head nervously.
Tracer looked up in thought, still watching the swarms clean up everything. She looked to Ladybug and her team, “I don’t suppose any of you would have any interest in joining our team, would you?” She asked.
Rena Rouge gasped in excitement, “For real?!”
Carapace leapt up in excitement, punching his fist to the sky, “That’d be awesome!”
Queen Bee smirked, “I suppose I could donate some of my time.”
But then their miraculous began to beep, so Ladybug interjected. “Uh-oh! We should get going!” She looked to Tracer, “We need to recharge our Miraculous before we turn back. Could we get back to you about that?”
Tracer nodded, “Of course.” She knew Ladybug and her team always left soon after their fights, otherwise they’d transform back into their civilian forms. “We’ll keep a spot open for each of you.”
Ladybug smiled, “Thanks! We’ll reach out to you when we come to a decision. Bug out!” She threw her yoyo and swung off with her teammates following behind her.
The Overwatch team watched them go before turning to one another and started talking, and laughing. Soon enough, Winston joined them with a proud smile on his face.
The police officer was watching the young girl before turning to the heroes. “Monsieur, does this mean Overwatch is back?” She asked.
Winston stopped and looked among his friends. Each one was smiling, with Tracer nodding to him. Winston turned to the officer. “Yes. Yes, we are.” Winston said proudly.
From that day forward, news about Overwatch’s return spread like a wildfire. But more so were the stories about their affiliation with Ladybug and her team. Rumors that they had been a part of Overwatch all along. Questions on whether they will become official Overwatch Agents. Arguments about why they should or shouldn’t join forces. All types of news started buzzing around, and Ladybug never answered any questions. Mainly because she was figuring it out herself. Should she join forces with a larger scale of heroes? Or would that only cause more problems not just for her and Paris, but for the rest of the world?

Spiraling Down Chapter 1
A.n.- I can't say how excited I am to write this story. It literally hit me out of nowhere and within two hours this chapter was written. I have a feeling I will love Le Paon in the series ( which we will get her in season two) For those of you who haven't researched her all we know is she will be an ally to Hawk Moth and compared to her HM will look like a nice villain. I wouldn't necessary suggest reading this if you haven't gotten caught up with season two, as I'll probably include some spoilers some places. I have no idea what Le Paon will be like in the series or what her powers will be ( I'm assuming my version of her will be darker than what the show's creators are going for considering it's intended audience) so I'm basing her character off guesses off theories I have read. The only thing about her that's cannon that I'll be using is her Kwami's name, ally to HM, and she's a darker villain ( all of which have been confirmed).
Prologue:
"You may have defeated me this time Ladybug and Chat Noir," his gloved hands gripped tightly in a clenched fist. The butterflies swirling above him in the air feeding off the energy in the room, "But the day will come where I will rise up and it will be you that is in for a surprise when I capture your Miraculouses. I will destroy you." It wasn't fair, he had gotten so close to winning and the second that Ladybug used her Lucky Charm he could feel everything starting to slip away with no ability to stop it. The power that he held over his victims seemed to be deteriorating with every use. But this wouldn't deter him from his mission, he would have Chat's ring and Ladybug's earrings and hold ultimate power within his grasp. It was the only way that he would see his love again.
"You could try boring them to death with your plans, maybe they would surrender just to stop you from talking." The words made the villain freeze on the spot, he didn't recognize the voice and yet someone had made it past his security into his haven. He turned to see a woman clothed in a royal blue dress draped across the one chair that occupied the room. The slit in the fabric inched higher with the position she was sitting in, but she didn't seem to mind. There was a dark blue color that seemed to cover the mysterious purple eyes that now glared at him. On top of her head rested a hat, dark blue and pink in color paired with a small veil masking part of her face. Although impressed of the design itself, Gabriel had more pressing matters.
"How did you get in here?" If it was one thing that he prided himself on was the length of security built into this place, he was sure that no one was sitting in the chair when he entered the room. That meant that she had to slip in when he was distracted with his fight with the heroes.
"Or maybe they would just use the time it took for you to explain everything to defeat you." She pondered out loud pressing her finger to the purple hue of her cheek ignoring his question. His rage grew, it wasn't enough that some woman was able to sneak into his lair, but to disrespect him was another matter; he didn't even accept that from his family, let alone a stranger.
"I won't ask again, how did you get in here?" Each word was pointed like it was daggers rolling off his tongue. Instead she just flipped through the book resting on her lap reading its contents. She was ignoring his questions on purpose trying to get under his skin, and it was working.
"You don't know who you are dealing with," He growled letting his rage stew. Didn't she know that he could call forth a person with an akuma to destroy her, or if it came to it he would be able to defeat her in a fight.
"I know exactly who you are." She answered not once looking up from the book, he caught sight of the superheroes printed on the page. That was the breaking point, she had been in his safe in his home. This was now personal. If she had laid one finger on Adrien's head, he swore she would die the most painful death that was possible.
"I've had enough of this, Code red." The walls suddenly burst open with various weapons pointing directly at her, but she didn't even flinch. He gritted his teeth, how someone from the outside was able to find his lair was beyond his comprehension, but after he took care of the pest, it would not be a mistake that would be repeated. The raven-haired woman got up from the chair that she was lounging in and began to walk towards him despite the fire power that could instantly kill her.
"Give me one reason I shouldn't end you right now." The low growl escaped his lips hands fully clenched, either she hadn't realized that her life laid in his hands or she dared to deny the fact; either way she leaned in her mouth hovering right outside his ear.
"Because I can give you what you desire." The words caused his body to freeze, a chill shot down his spine.
"How could you possibly know what I desired?" He scoffed. It was a game between the two, the one who held up their appearance would be the winner, a silent battle for dominance. The urge to shoot her dead decreased as his curiosity grew with every word that left her lips.
"To bring back your wife," a dark chuckle escaped her throat "it's such a noble pursuit, but you have no idea what those two miraculous are truly capable of." She returned to the bookshelves that lined the wall running her fingers against the spines nonchalantly.
"Who are you?" He demanded slamming his cane on the floor gaining her attention. The Cheshire grin grew as the purple eyes looked up innocently, he was rattled which only meant she gained the upper hand.
"You can call me Le Paon, but the question you should really be asking; what can I do for you?" A deafening silence rang through the room, so she took the opportunity to continue. "Are you tired of losing, doing the same thing every time only to be defeated?"
"What do you have in mind?" She shook her head clicking her tongue.
"Put away your toys," the emphasis on the last word didn't go unnoticed making him grit his teeth. "And we can sit down and have a talk." She draped herself once more in the chair that was at her disposal.
When the security system clicked back into place, her smirk spread. He towered over her figure, but it didn't daunt her, she seemed unfazed or even unimpressed by the man that stood before her.
"I've been watching you for a long time." A single feather was released from her fan that was resting on the table next to her, her fingers began running around the edge. "After a couple years of your constant failure I decided to offer my services." How could he not have felt a presence of another miraculous user, especially if she was keeping an eye on him.
"What's in it for you? No one does anything for free." The women kicked her legs off the arms of the chair and stood, her eyes never wavering from his.
"Don't worry that pretty little head of yours, I do have a tiny request, when the time comes I'll collect." She didn't say another word on the matter of how he would be indebted, causing hesitation. What did he even know about her, besides that she could sneak her way into his highly fortified fortress?
"What makes you so confident that you will defeat Ladybug in battle?" He crossed his arms defensively against his chest; anyone could talk visions of grandeur, but to accomplish such a task she needed to have a plan and so far, she hadn't suggested of having anything of the sort.
"That's your problem Hawk Moth," disappointment dripping from her voice as her fingers barely touched the tip of her plumage in her hand causing it to blacken. "You are thinking too…short term," her smile crept up further. "To crush the pesky bug, you must attack her heart, mind and her very soul. She will succumb to the darkness, just you wait." What she was offering seemed too good to be true, turning the light dark, surely not with the presence of a guardian and her partner in her life.
"What about Chat Noir? How do you propose we deal with him?" In all the battles that were fought, Chat had grown to be just as much of a problem as Ladybug with the way they communicated and worked together. Besides to grant him the wish he would need both miraculous.
"By the time the silly kitten realizes what's happening it will be too late. Once we take out Ladybug he will crumble to his own darkness."
"And how do you propose that this is accomplished?" She hadn't given him any detail to her plan, but the idea that he could take down the thorns that had been in his sides for the longest time was tempting. If he was unaware that Le Paon resided in Paris, it was safe to guess that the superhero duo was in the dark same as him.
"Just...leave that to me, by the time I'm done with her, Ladybug will be begging to give her miraculous to us."
"How do I know that you won't take the two miraculous, only to grant the wish for yourself?" He wasn't going to sweep the topic under the rug, it wasn't the first time that his victims thought they could take the ultimate power from him.
"You don't, but you can't win without me," the air around them was chilled by the tone of her voice, "I guess we'll just have to trust each other, now won't we?" She held out a hand her eyes glowing from the fire that raged inside her. "Do we have a deal?"
"On one condition, at no point harm will come to my son, I don't want him involved in this." Maybe it was the guilt that lived in the shadows within him, but he still loved the boy to some fatherly extent.
"Agreed."
The second he reached out and the two hands connected a colored energy burst from both their miraculous wrapping around their arms before joining right above the handshake. Hawk Moth's mouth fell slightly, he had never experienced or read anything about this kind of thing happening before.
"What's happening?" The purple and blue light disappeared as quickly as it came, and he started wondering if he had just imagined it all.
"Our agreement is now bonded, now if we both keep up our end of the arrangement then everything will be fine. I trust you, think of it as a safe guard." She brushed her hand over the peacock broach resting at her neck. Gabriel was almost worried to ask what would happen if it was broken, but instead he kept his mouth shut.
"What now?"
"Just go and release one of your precious butterflies, I'll take care of the rest." It seemed easy enough, he could already feel the dark energy of someone's anger rising through him. When the akuma had fluttered away through the window he turned back to where Le Paon was standing, she was gone. In return a single feather was left on the chair. He ignored the lurch of uneasiness in his stomach as he detransformed; why did it feel like he just made a deal with the Devil himself?
A.n.- So it begins. This story will probably be darker, but we'll see how it goes. So my updates will probably be once every week ( or two weeks at the latest) simply because I'm trying to write original story to be published and well that comes first. But I will do my best to update on time. Favorite or reblog if you can’t wait for more
