I know he’s not on your guaranteed player list, but hear me out: she’s a club staff or physio. she gets hot and bothered while watching Kevin De Bruyne during pool recovery & Kevin notices👀 (unprofessional, yes, but he’s delicious so it’s okay lolz) smut or not is your choice! you always know best. the picture of him in the pool after FC Copenhagen has been engrained in my brain since it was first posted.

You'd known there would be trails and tribulations when it came to choosing sports physiotherapy as a career, but you'd expected men who would be difficult to work with, difficult to advise and personalities which you simply did not get along with. And there were many men whose name made you groan with frustration upon seeing them on your daily dairy. And today was a groan day when you saw Kevin's name scrawled in your handwriting across the page. This, you knew, was not part of the job and you'd struggle to keep your face in check during today's session.

Sessions with Kevin were...interesting. He could never be accused of being rude or unprofessional in the slightest. He was quiet, a little harder to peel back the layers to get to know but in a way, it made things worse. You'd found certain athletes who were up front and open with their communication, put themselves out there in a way you could adjust to but Kevin was a little harder. His quiet yet playful nature and quick wit was refreshing to experience but he'd hold himself back and you often found yourself wondering why this was while eagerly waiting for more.

You've spent most of your session today crouched beside the pool, wincing as you adjusted your weight and curled your toes within your shoes, keeping your eyes on the water at all times. His free style was longer than you anticipated, making a mental note to ask him once finished to not take them so quickly. Then again, he'd struggled to keep his pace with the breaststroke so you can't blame him for wanting to push a little bit with this. It was his groin that was the cause of his injury, not his torso and arms, so you felt you could go a little easier on him with the reprimands.

And now you're within the safety of your office, you allow yourself a moment or two to breathe and admit that today got the better of you. Maybe it was the lighting as the sun had shone through the large windows that had made him look a certain way; had made his skin glow healthily, made his eyes brighter and just made him look good. Maybe it was the fact that you hadn't been laid in quite some time. Maybe it was the way he'd grunted in such a way as he'd pushed back off that by the time your head had snapped up to look at him, he was looking right at you - almost to judge your reaction. Maybe, just maybe, all three things combined had just created something within you that you hadn't anticipated.

All you knew was that sitting at your desk now as you drank deeply from your drink, your thighs clamp together and lust and desire courses through your veins. Of all your clients to make you feel like this, Kevin had been the least of your worries and yet here you are, having deeply inappropriate, unprofessional thoughts about him.

When there's a knock at the door, you scramble to load your computer up and pull your physical diary towards you as you pretend to be working while calling for the visitor to come in. You can smell the faint scent of chlorine and his aftershave before you turn your head and it has you closing your eyes and taking a deep breath to steady your emotions before you look at him. He closes the door with a soft click but he doesn't move from where he stands, though his gaze is fixed firmly on where you sit.

"Is everything ok?" you ask him, forcing yourself to put on a bright smile.

"I think so," he laughs nervously but the smile he tries to give seems almost as forced as the one you're doing. When neither of you try to say anything else, you clear your throat and instinctively drill your fingers over your keyboard as if to say well, I'll be getting back to work then but it's at this time that Kevin begins to speak. "It's just, I saw how you were earlier and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it."

Your fingers freeze, hovering over the keyboard as you try to work out what your telltale signs were and what they told him. "Why, how did I appear Kevin?"

"Distracted. Deep in thought." He pauses as he considers something.

"No, I was fully focused on you and your rehabilitation." You reply, but your tone doesn't sound as confident as you'd hoped.

He pushes away from the door, but not before you hear the sound of the lock being activated and he begins to step towards you. "Fully focused?" he presses you verbally but mentally you're still seconds behind where he was locking the door and your heart is pounding against your rib cage at the thought of no-one being able to walk in on you both right now. Your mind is flooding with thoughts that does nothing to help dry between your thighs; in fact, it only worsens the situation. "Yes."

"Really?"

"Yes." Each time you say it, your voice grows weaker, quieter and you know he has you. "Why do you ask?"

"Because you have the same look on your face now," he tells you as he stands on the other side of the desk.

"And how do I look?" you find yourself asking in a voice barely more than a whisper.

"Like you want me to kiss you. Or have you right here on this desk." Your mouth feels dry and no amount of swirling your tongue around it does a damn thing to wet it. Swallowing feels even more futile. "Am I wrong?" he asks.

Of course he's not wrong.

He knows it.

You know it.

And being honest with yourself, your desk is about to find out the truth too.
