Before Trolls 3 first announced and before I saw a trailer of it, before we knew, before we knew about TBT, let’s say go back into 2016-2020, before we knew that that Branch has four brothers.

Have you ever thought about Branch’s parents? We know he had grandma but because of what happened. It seems like he doesn’t have any family members other than Grandma, I never really thought about his family, I just assumed that they died, was eaten by Bergens.

What was your reaction when you first heard about Trolls 3/TBT?

I was so shocked about it. I loved Branch even more!

I forgot about Trolls for years, until Trolls 3 trailer showed up on YouTube, I was like “what the?” So I watched it, I immediately realized that it was Branch when he was a toddler, but who was those four guys? So I went and find out he had four brothers, I was like, “WHAAAAAT?!”

I never thought of how they survived Bergens especially Chef until recently. I had so many questions. I found out that a few months before its first release. I got my questions answered well except…

Where have Floyd been? (not captured by twins because it was only two months)

How did Bros survived the Bergens especially that crazy Chef?!

I didn’t expect them to make Trolls 3 which was something. 😅

I noticed that their parents weren’t there, and I was sad to see Grandma when I was first watching because we know why and again how heck did they survive?! In fact I was disappointed with Floyd, I was like, are you okay?! Family should be first but yeah. (I know it wouldn’t make sense to Trolls)

I was mad with Peppy for ‘No Trolls left behind!” But of course I can tell he was heartbroken, I’m not of if anyone did ask him about Viva, only asked about Poppy. I know Viva have not existed yet back then.

My past self wouldn’t believe me if I told her about Branch having a big Brothers. My past self would ask “if Branch has older brothers then where did they go? Why did they left him like that? What about Bergens? (I’m not sure if the tunnels were still just started working on or not yet, most likely not started yet)

Now, the most important question:

what’s your reaction when you first saw Poppy kissed Branch on his lips? I would scream happily but them but can’t because I was in the theater. :’D

What do you think Trolls 4 will be about?

It would be interesting if Viva and Poppy’s mother was villain but who knows. Do you hope there will have main male villain? We had main female villains but no main male villain. (I know we had Creek and Vaneer but well we know what happened in the end of movie.) Hopefully we will learn about their mother. I think next movie will be focused on Poppy’a but who knows?

Time for my confession... I hadn't watched trolls until late last year, around the time tbt came out. Which funnily enough wasn't what got me interested in trolls.

Actually joined bc of a post on how good World tour was with 'It's All About Love (History of Funk)' attached. Boy was I blown away with the music and art direction that I had to give it a try!!

So I had the experience of knowing Branch supposedly had brothers. So no surprise for me :( lol. Luckily however it didn't effect how I viewed branch in the first two movies :). Branch's family never really crossed my mind much, I just accepted that it was only him and his Grandma.

It was very interesting to see how characters and story details were recontextualized with every movie addition. Peppy is unfortunately a casualty needed if they wanted to add some things (viva, the putt putts, other genres). Like the concept of some pop trolls sneaking out of bergen town, which I assumed brozone did. My favorite bit however was how the bunker was recontextualized, put so much more sentiment into it!!

Must admit, while I loved brozone's addition I did not think highly of them personality wise (as in I saw there many flaws and loved em for it). Seeing how much branch and all of pop trolls had gone through with the knowledge that they were out there living their lives had me very aware that they sucked at being brothers lol.

Love the broppy moment!! Was done perfectly in my opinion <3, I was watching on my phone, waaaaayy late at night, so I gave the quietest of yays :D

first of all thank you so much 🥹 and second that’s absolutely not a dumb question!! i do pull a lot of images from getty and i’ll also download pictures from sports articles (i got a lot of the hugheses pictures from online access articles, for example), or sometimes from instagram/facebook/twitter if an account is public. freely admitting that i am not technologically advanced? inclined? in the slightest here, but the image editing software that you use and how you import/export photos with it makes a difference in the quality of them as well!

“I can't exactly see the back of my head, so yes.” You sit on a stool, hands knitted together in anxiety. You'd asked Sebastian if he would be willing to cut your hair for you today. It had been, admittedly, a bit awkward to ask. He’d been flipping through files and restocking the supplies on his tail when you'd stepped into his shop. Your long hair getting in your eyes and somewhat fanning out nearly down to your hips. You hadn't had the opportunity to get it cut in so long it made your skin crawl. You felt…feminine. Way too feminine. You can't remember the last time you let your hair grow out this long and its made it really, really hard to focus on anything else. Its not just because it gets in your eyes and you can't for the life of you find a hairtie. Its deeper than that. You've started to almost flinch away from your reflections in the water and windows.

You've started to grab at your hips, at your face, poking and prodding and wondering if you can even pass with long hair. You haven't met another person besides Sebastian and the idea of being unable to see yourself the way you should. The way you know in your heart to be right. It makes you uncomfortable. You can only pinch and poke and prod for so long before your skin gets irritated. Right now, sat here, waiting for Sebastian to cut your hair? This was like your skin getting irritated. You had to debate if you were willing to even let another person cut your hair. What if they butchered it? What if it made you look worse than before? What if he fucked it up so bad you looked like one of those weird troll dolls but worse somehow? It had been your biggest worry for quite some time, until your hair got long enough that you couldn't stand it anymore.

“I feel like I should make you sign a waiver.”

“Sebastian, Im serious. Please, just cut it, I don't care if it's the worst thing ever. I can't keep walking around like this.”

“You understand my hands are too big to fit these scissors properly, right?”

“Doesnt matter, just get it done.” He sighs and grabs a collection of your long locks, specifically the one around your face. He straightens the hair to the best of his abilities using a hand so he can make the cleanest cuts he can.

“Why does this matter so much to you? Shouldn't you be, I don't know, focused on surviving? I mean paying me for a haircut seems a bit much.”

“Its…complicated.”

“How complicated can it really be?” He hums as he continues to make cuts, the sound of scissors through hair joining the sound of dripping water and Sebastian's voice. Would he even be cool about something like this? He doesn't particularly like anyone, and he's not really friendly with you either. Would he use it against you somehow? Would he get aggressive about it?

“I just feel kind of…feminine, and it makes me uncomfortable.” You mutter and this only gets a chuckle, sounding condescending.

“Oh, Expendable, long hair doesn't make you any less of a man. Don't be ridiculous.”

“I just don't like it.”

“Look, all I'm saying is, you could have bought a medkit instead of a haircut. If its this important than fine. Who am I to tell you how to spend your collected data?”

“Whether it makes me more of a man or not, is it wrong of me to not like feeling…” You trail off, and all at once, Sebastian tenses mid cut.

“Oh…thats what this is about.” His tone softens up a bit, the mild poking he had been doing immediately being cut out as he carries on cutting your hair.

“This isn't too stupid of a purchase, I guess.” He adds on.

“Yeah?” You ask as he finishes up, putting the scissors to the side and ruffling your hair to get any loose strands out.

“Yeah. Go take a look,” he motions towards the water so you can see yourself in the reflection. You peer down into it curiously and immediately your shoulders relax. You hadn't even realized you'd been tense. Your hairs a bit choppy, admittedly, but its not ugly or particularly butchered by any means. He was oddly thoughtful and careful about taking care of your hair for you. Even saying it was ridiculous to spend your data on, he didn't ruin it for you on purpose.

“Its good, you did a good job.”

“Yeah, well, I'm sure if you keep coming to me I'll get better every time.”

“Im sure you will, then.” You give him a smile and he kind of awkwardly smiles back for a moment. A bit of hesitation as you grab the keycard off his desk and put your swimming gear back on now that its dry.

“Wait.”

“Ah- Yes Sebastian?” You turn, concerned about what he might say. He's not stupid and you're certain he's figured you out by now. If he doesn't like it, there's nothing he can do about it sure but you always tense when people get all awkward around you. He hesitates a moment longer before giving you a little wave.

What kind of nu metal music fits Les's band?

First of all I gotta clarify that I sent this ask myself because I accidentally lost the original through constant editing and drafting. I realize I could just make a regular text post but I'm quirky like that, and a question is a nice little attention grabber for those who are interested.

Anyway...

It's hard to point at one song and say this is their sound, because A: I'm picky, B: the band's style changes over time, and C: I don't know what I'm doing lmao

This answer is very long uhh I don't seem to be able to form short responses, mi scusi 😅

Back at home the brothers' music and then also the first year on the road with Flea the band sounds like the albums Music and especially Grassroots by 311. (Grassroots is such a banger of an album, I listen to it all the time, really recommend.)

Hed's the main influence on the band's sound because he's the main vocalist, songwriter and overall the most invested in the band succeeding (Les's main concern is making ends meet, and Flea is just enjoying the ride lol). At the start Hed and Les have had basically no contact with Rock Trolls so even though they're both more metal/punk than regular rock, their "rock side" is softer at this point. Hed also grew up with hip hop because of his peers so there's a lot of rapping in his lyrics. And he also incorporates reggae into his style a lot because of his favorite uncle, Kymani (one of the guys who live with Ish) who is a Reggae Troll. Hed is pretty much a sponge when it comes to music, much like Floyd. The closest I can come to describing his genre is a fusion of Rap Metal and Reggae Rock which are both already fusion genres jskksdjsk

(The band 311 has two singers and oddly they both sound like Hed and Les to me. SA Martinez (the higher of the two voices) sounds 100%, exactly like how I've imagined Hed's voice in my head. For Les I have a different voice claim because Les's personal style of music is much different from the band, but Nick Hexum (the lead vocalist here) is still in the second place when it comes to voice alone. Imagine my enthusiastic surprise finding voices for both brothers in the same band 😄)

While driving around and performing small gigs they come in contact with the alternative and nu metal scene and meet a lot of Rock Trolls (mostly various Metal Trolls) and other mixed trolls, and in the following couple of years their sound gradually becomes heavier (Hed rediscovers screamo lol) and they go from rock to metal.

A year into their "touring" is also around the time Hed meets and starts dating Liv and gets her to join the band. Liv's genre has the heaviest sound of all of them (Industrial/EBM), which influences Hed and the band too. And with Liv on the drums, Hed takes over DJ-ing and is also able to put more focus on the vocals, which also makes Les step down and only sing backing vocals with the rest of the band if needed.

The band in this era sounds like the album Revolution by Insolence and to some degree Introduction to Mayhem by Primer 55.

Two years into the bands existence is when Floyd runs into them. At first he's more just standing there, observing their practices and performances warily, because he's had bad experiences with Rock Trolls in his one year alone and metal music still kinda freaks him out at this point. But he soon starts joining in in melodic parts and then it progresses into him singing longer and longer segments because he has the strongest vocals of everyone. And once he saves enough of his earnings for a guitar he starts playing the rhythm guitar too. (The guitar he took with him when he left the Troll Tree got stolen before he met the band.)

I guess I should clarify: Flea is the lead guitarist, Les is the bassist, and Liv and Hed switch on the drums and DJ-ing depending on the track. At one point they also get a keyboard.

It's also not that long before Hed and Floyd start actively writing songs together, sharing each others notes, and they start to split the singing parts more evenly. Hed even teaches Floyd screamo techniques, because he thinks Floyd has a great voice for them (He is correct, Floyd has a mean scream 😁).

During this time the band still pretty much sounds like Revolution by Insolence but with more melodic singing parts from Floyd (and screaming/shouting lmao). I think Verge of Umbra is another good band to compare, it sounds more clean and Floydy but still Hedy. (Man, I should write scientific research papers skjdkjf)

From here on out I'm a bit unsure how the band's sound develops, but I'm pretty sure Floyd would unintentionally infect them with a mild case of radio friendliness (Pop trolls can't help their in your face nature lmao 😞). So for now I'm stopping here...

This took me days of searching and writing so I would appreciate to hear any thoughts you have if you've come this far and given some of the songs a listen. :)

☆ Once she gets over that initial fear the PDA is amped up by 100! She's holding your hands and dragging you across the golf course, constant hugging and kisses in public

☆ Clay's a little more quiet about it- he doesn't want the other trolls thinking he's gone soft, but....he'll link his pinkie with yours and lean down to kiss your forehead when no one's looking

☆ They're not the type to get jealous- Viva loves seeing you and Clay being all cute together, and Clay's glad you two have each other when he's busy with work

I've seen so many fun iterations of Kismet's relationship to each other. As found family, some being relatives, as just friends, but my favorite is them being one big ole polecule!

I love the idea that trolls are a naturally polyamorous species and will often form "packs" if you will with the ones they love. Kismet is one of the largest packs in Pop Village, and they will gush about their partners to anyone who will listen.

Kismet being a thing has always been weird timeline wise, so I like to think they got together right after the first movie began or even ended, and that's how Branch joined them. They heard him sing to Poppy and all unanimously agreed they NEEDED him for their band.

They actually offered for Branch to join not just their band, but their relationship at one point. They all thought he was cute and loved how despite how sarcastic and deadpanned he was, he was loving and caring towards his friends. But Branch politely declined, telling them he already eyes for someone else.

So they went from potential boyfriend's to the most obnoxious wingmen ever. Cuz if we can't date u then we're gonna make sure someone else does!!

I love the headcanon that Ablaze is actually a rock troll, so that's why I drew him with the extra pointy ears and lizard tail (tho as I'm typing this I realize I forgot his claws FUK)

veneer’s boyfriend is a massive brozone fan! although veneer was hesitant (because of a certain troll that he and his sister were holding captive), he lets his boyfriend perform ‘perfect,’ his favorite brozone song.💚

“what are you humming?” veneer asked me, making my head perk up. i sat on my bed, scrolling through my instagram feed as veneer looked through my closet, trying to find us matching outfits for our next date.

“my favorite song?”

“that’s insightful.” he sassed me, rolling his eyes and sitting at the foot of my bed.

“okay, chill it, babe.” i got up from my bed and looked through my vinyl collection. i pulled out one of them, and placed it on my record player. “it’s a brozone song.” veneer’s eyes widened, but he quickly shook his head and gave me a nervous smile. what a weirdo, i love him.

“the song is called ‘perfect.’ come on,” i took his hand and pulled him up from my bed and placed the needle on the vinyl, “let’s have a little concert.” the song began, and i took both of veneer’s hands.

“well, there she goes! on the floor, let’s do this, no more talking~” i spun veneer around, dipped him, and winked. his face tinted red and he teasingly pushed me away. the song continued and i forced veneer to dance with me.

“did anybody notice? the energy just shifted when we dropped in!” veneer focused hard, trying to remember the next lyrics.

“i don’t flex, but i might, groove about to take flight. cause the night is young, and the music’s on, and we got love on sight!” he caught onto the last line. my heart soared at the sight of my boyfriend trying so hard to remember the lyrics of my favorite song. he’s so adorable.

as the song kept playing, veneer and i stopped singing along.

“you actually got it!” the smile on my face was nothing short of genuine. veneer grabbed me by the hips and spun us around. i chuckled, blush spreading across my face, “good job, handsome.” i rested my arms over his shoulders, my wrists crossed behind his neck.

“don’t tell my sister, but i know one brozone song.” he admitted in a whisper, as if velvet was in earshot. his confession made my eyes light up, i wanted to hear this guy sing.

“really?! veneer, i wanna hear you sing it!” i grabbed his cheeks, bringing his face close to mine. veneer rolled his eyes playfully, and took the needle off the record. he looked through my collection and pulled out a different vinyl. i couldn’t tell what song it was, but he placed it on my record player and began the song.

a few verses passed, veneer chuckling and preparing himself to sing. i stood back, and waited for him to jump into the song.

“you got the right stuff, baby. love the way you turn me on~” veneer looked me right in the eyes as he sang that line, and i covered my blushing face.

“you got the right stuff, baby. you’re the reason why i sing this song!” he reached his hand out, like he was inviting me to join him. i took his hand, and he pulled me close.

“you’re all i ever wanted! you’re all i ever needed, yeah!~ so tell me what to do now, when i want… you… back!” we cackled in the arms of each other as we sang those lines together.

“vel would kill you if she heard you singing that. she hates brozone.” i messed up veneer’s hair, and he stared at me with love in his eyes. “good thing i got it on videooo!~” i pulled out my phone, holding it out of his reach as he tried to grab it. he eventually got a hold of it and tossed it onto my bed, his other hand still holding onto my waist.

“why is my boyfriend such a little parasite? you’re lucky i love you.” veneer poked fun at me for being a nuisance.

“don’t get cocky, ven.” our faces were just inches apart. a silence fell between us as i just admired my handsome boyfriend.

i leaned up, closing the gap between us, and kissed his tender lips. his eyes widened, but he quickly melted into our kiss. my fingers ran through his mullet. veneer pulled me closer to him, and i could feel his lips turn up into a smile. after i pulled away and my eyes opened slowly, veneer pressed kisses all over my face, leaving green lipstick prints on every inch of my exposed skin.

“y/n,” veneer collapsed onto my bed, bringing me down with him. he twisted his arm with mine, then interlocked our fingers. our hands fit palm to palm like lock and key.

“yeah?”

lol turns out I had a lot more thought out. Fair warning, none of this is concrete, this was thought up a while ago and uhhhhh… writing is not my strong suit lol

In this au I had debated whether to make copper a little bit younger, I already hc him as the youngest of the snack pack so idk if its needed lol.

While in the beginning of making his bunker, branch (who’s maybe 7??) would travel farther out into the forest and gather supplies to build when he stumbles on what looks like an egg? Just in time too, ‘cause Coops pops out like in twt, does his little groove, & then proceeds to flop over to nap (being baby is tiring work).

Branch is just ??? cause like what?? Baby? Way out here in the woods?? Why does the baby have 4 legs??? Why is said baby all alone? And that last part makes b pause for a sec bc where’s his family? Did he lose them? Or is it even worse…was he left behind? (He might be projecting a lil).

Cooper and Branch proceed to live where other kids w/o families go. Caretakers try to care for cooper & he is not having it. After all, branch is the first person he’d ever seen, was the first person who’d carried him. He’s imprinted on branch and whole heartedly believes and he is his family. So if C needs to be taken care of B has to be there. It goes on long enough that the caretaker decides it'll just easier if branch helped take care of him; and who knows maybe he'll regain his color being around such a happy little goober.

At first, branch doesn’t realize how much he means to C and assumes his attachment will fade. After all why wouldn’t it when he’s being doted on by warm and cheerful trolls. But nope! Whenever the caretakers aren't taking cooper around the village, Cooper is always following Branch. Around the pod, and through the woods. Branch looks out for him, talks to him, teaches him what he can, and even plays games! I think the fact that branch has been a part of Coopers whole life gives him a sense of obligation perhaps like a big brother?. It's easy to be open to him.

All attempts to foster Cooper are unsuccessful. It's not that Cooper doesn't match the family, it's that he just doesn't want to live with them. Imagine a foster family having the time of their lives singing & playing around & when the time comes Cooper's like 'I had a lot of fun today! Time to go! what?? Stay here? be a part of your family? ...Nope :D

When the time comes that the bunker can feasibly house him, (preteen?) Branch packs up what little he owns, and prepares to leave that night. It's not like the anyone at the orphanage would chase after him. Well, except for one trolling.

It's been years, long enough that their bond is strong, they're brothers in all but name. At least unnamed on branch's side, he kind of refuses to acknowledge it.

Anyway- Branch waits until everyone falls asleep and sneaks out. He doesn't even make it out of the room lol. One foot out the door and a sleepy voice is asking him where he's going. Branch just says he's going to the bunker, that he'll see him soon, it won't be forever you see what im trying to parallel? and it's true. It's not like he's leaving to who knows where. Cooper just nods & yawns out a "bye, see you later". Love me a parallel

Branch lasts an hour or two in the bunker. He's on edge the whole time, racked w/ guilt. Has a little mental spiral until there is just one loud thought of 'what am i doing? there's someone waiting for me' and runs back.

In the joined room, Cooper fell asleep on branch's bed waiting for him. So making sure not to wake him, Branch rests coopers head on his lap. Leaning against the headboard Branch just stares at his vest left at the end of the bed & has a moment of clarity. Like oh, that's why i felt terrible, i left my little brother behind. (Keep in mind that no, he didn’t really do that, but he’s a kid and that whole ‘see you later’ really shook him so he’s making some jumps in logic)(there some projecting happening as well)

So yeah, gained a brother!! yay!!! Cooper beat you to that revelation yeeaarrrss ago lol.

One thing I like about branch being a big bro is this idea that the more he learns about what it means to be one, the less he can understand his brothers. And are they his brothers?? Over the years it’s not looking like it.

I feel like this is a trick question, mostly because I am multi-fandom, and I tend towards favs per fandom, as opposed to favs of all time, lol So, uhhh, how about a fic from 3 diff fandoms that...I don't know I'd call them my 'fav', but they're the ones I'm most inclined/tempted to reread in that fandom on a whim.

For Fullmetal Alchemist, I'm going to say Colours in Your Eyes. It was a Big Bang piece, and I really, really loved how it turned out. Playing with soulmates is always interesting, but I loved the chance to fuck around with this one. I had a lot of fun playing with the ideas of cultural differences and how when you discovered your soulmate could change things. And I was just so, so happy with the ending. I think the last ending I adored as much as I did this one, was Reclaim. It just....hit that sweet spot.

Picking one for Final Fantasy VIII, lol, okay, that's...rough. I going to go with Noblesse Oblige, I think. I did so much work on developing the world in this fic, and building out original characters that were able to join as part of the main cast. It's also my only fic that really looks at how the events of canon might have unfolded in the following months. It was very much a labour of love, and I remain very proud of it.

I'm going to cheat, for Star Wars, actually, and pick a series: JasBen Save a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Because it has the healing and the happy ending that Obi-Wan—Ben— deserves. It's also got Jaster being an awesome and supported Mand'alor, and Tor not going batshit, and Xanatos getting the healing he deserves, and little baby!Obi-Wan being the cutest fucking thing. And it manages to be both pro-Jedi and pro-True Mandos, without shitting on either one, or shitting on the New Mandos (although it's pretty clear they're less than respected, oops), which is...such an achievement in this fandom, I am so proud of myself for it. I am sad that the clones aren't in it, but the series feels to me like healing and acceptance, and that's almost always going to be my go-to when I'm trolling my fic, looking for something to read.

-how the fuck is cat feeling. Does he believe Kakashi is dead? Does he hope Kakashi is alive?

-nara shikakunand yoshino are about to fucking eviscerate the elder council. Either they were aware of this bullshit or they were criminally negligent. Oh, what's that inoichi and shibi? Some of your family got kidnapped too? Maybe we should bring torture back to t&i. Just this once.

what do you think about the fan HC idea of Kismet being Branch's Foster Siblings from when he was a kid?

some fans came up with the idea of Kismet having been like Branch's foster siblings following Grandma's death and while I've always thought it wouldn't mesh well with his established backstory.

thinking about it more it could potentially work like I know its not super likely to be made cannon but bare with me lol it could be the first few years following the escape when he was too young to venture on his own Branch was in a home with other displaced kids thanks to Trollstice hence how he met the kismet members.

however maybe when they started their little bad obviously Branch wouldn't join at that point in his life and after a few years when he was a teenager and could live by himself that's when he went to build the bunker by himself in the woods.

and kismet kinda had to give him space eventually given how reclusive he became like when he was in the home he wasn't super social but he deffo got worse over the years I'd imagine. so they went off from the village touring and after the first movie Branch reconnected with them and finally agreed to join the band albeit on the downlow so Poppy didn't know.

so this way he'd have met them as children like a lot of fans wanted but it won't contradict his backstory of refusing to sing back then

and technically it wouldn't contradict Branch's words to his bros in TBT given it could very well still be the case that the kids weren't looked after properly and were mostly left to their own devices given most Pop Trolls just want to have fun.

idk its convoluted for sure lol but personally I like the fan HC of Kismet being like Branch's surrogate Bros and the idea of Branch having been through the Trolls equivalent of the care system gaining hardened overprotective foster siblings that his bio brothers would eventually meet I feel is super cute and interesting to think about.

like imagine an episode of a third tv show that was just foster siblings Kismet visiting Branch but for the first time ever Brozone is there as well and things are very awkward between the two sets of siblings.

with Kismet making passive aggressive Remarks at Bro zone every chance they get and asking Branch about his special interests being smug and Rubbing it in B zone's face how much better they know Branch than they do. tho ironically when it comes to actually listenening to Branch talk about his interests or actually doing them with him both sets of siblings are equally bored out of their minds but try to hide it in front of Branch 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 and threatening to beat Bro zone up if they ever hurt Branch's feelings again.

while pretending to be polite and get along in front of Branch but in the end Branch does Realise the Tension that's been going on between them.

and it turns out Kismet were actually worried that they may be pushed out of their Dorky anti social little foster Bros life now that his "" real family "" have finally come back.

and maybe Bro zone are actually the ones to Reassure them that they don't want that given they appreciate that Branch clearly cares about them a lot.

and the two sets of siblings do call a truce for Branch's sake.

eh I know its not super likely but well they already added 4 never before mentioned siblings into the mix and Branch still has a lot of Grey area in his backstory.

Headcanon: Magolor hosts late-night slumber parties inside the Lor Starcutter

Magolor's sleep schedule is... not very consistent, to say the least. There are several nights where he struggles to sleep, and so during those nights he'll reach out to someone to hang out with inside Lor.

... The people that accept the invitations are other villain-turned-dream-friends. They don't mind staying up late for such a thing!

Marx, Daroach, Taranza, Susie, Francisca, Flamberge and Zan Partizanne have all participated in Magolor's Lor slumber parties.

Of course, never all at the same time. But one of them may show up! Combinations of them may show up! Magolor appreciates it either way. He likes the company regardless, no matter if it's only one other person. He just considers the slumber parties to be incredibly fun!

The things that happen in these slumber parties include: pillow fights, drinking, playing extremely unhinged games of "truth or dare", having the Lor blast music, and having the Lor troll whatever group is inside for the night. There's more things, but these are the biggest ones, and I think you might get the general idea here at this point!

Typical slumber party stuff! They get very competitive with the pillow fighting, by the way. It's enriching for them to be competitive about it.

It's typical unhinged college-age young adults in their 20s having stupid unhinged fun here. That's more or less what this is.

Well... actually, I headcanon that Daroach and Zan are in their 30s in human years, but they still join in on the fun anyways, and everyone else that's mentioned here I interpret are in their 20s in human years.

These parties can range in time. They've done it as early as midnight, but they most commonly happen between 2 to 3 AM, and can even happen as late as 4 AM. The vast majority of people in Dream Land are well asleep at those times, which is of course where Magolor and the Lor claim as their home. And... uh, the slumber parties in the Lor can get pretty damn loud, especially if music is being played.

Don't be surprised if there's incidents where someone gets woken up by this shit and tells the group to quiet down, LOL.

The Lor herself enjoys these parties. She has a sense of humor similar to Magolor's, and so she loves doing these things at like 3 AM, not really caring if it disturbs the sleep of Dream Landers nearby.

Unfortunately, it's not very common for the groups in the slumber parties to be big in size. Susie and the mage sisters don't live in Popstar, and so they're only capable of participating in this thing whenever they come to vacation on the star-shaped planet.

Marx is the one that participates the most often by far, and there's many nights where it's just the twosome of Magolor and Marx. That's perfectly fun enough! They're best buds and enjoy these late nights.

Taranza can come by relatively often for these parties, since Floralia is still within Popstar and thus not a very far distance, but he doesn't get along with Marx and so those two will not show up for the slumber party at the same time. It's one or the other in that case.

Daroach also enjoys coming by quite a bit. While Magolor and Daroach enjoy stealing from each other during the day, they'll be more chill during the night and have a drink or something.

It becomes exciting when Susie or the mage sisters take a vacation on Popstar to be able to participate, and it becomes ESPECIALLY exciting in the occasion that Susie and the mage sisters vacation at the same time. That's indeed happened before, and oh boy do the slumber parties in the Lor get pretty big and fulfilling at that point.

I'll mention though that there are 100% nights where it's the threesome of Magolor, Susie and Taranza inside the Lor, because wave 3 trio sleepovers deserve to happen. And there's nights where it's a threesome of Magolor, Marx and Francisca, because Marx and Fran are close buds alongside Magolor. And there's other combinations existent for the parties. Lots of combinations like I said!

The spiciest slumber parties included Taranza, Susie and all three mage sisters. When the party got that big, it was nuts! It was incredible. So much unhinged fun was being had there. Six childish adults having ridiculous pillow fight competitions and some of them 100% got drunk in the end. They were all a damn mess when they woke up in the morning, LOL. But it's not like they care, they had fun!

Now you may be wondering how Magolor pulls this off nowadays when he runs an amusement park? It's alright, there may be occasions where he closes Merry Magoland for the day to chill out. He can use those opportunities for slumber parties. He can also take advantage of days where the park needs to close because of bad weather or something. The slumber parties did become less of an occurrence when Magoland first opened up, but they still happen sometimes! It happened a whole lot before Magoland first opened, though. A lot of these guys have fond memories of these parties.

I'm thinking of drawing how they'd look in my take on troll design, and knowing at least the gist of their personalities may help me figure out what tails to give them that may fit their personalities or contrast with them.

Uhm, so Les is very menacing on first glance, especially because of his size and resting bitch face (or resting moody vibe face as the films would call it lol) and he kind of likes it that way because it immediately warns ill-intentioned trolls to stay away from his friend group. But otherwise he's very laid back, kind of like a large dog. He gives off "don't mess with me and I won't mess with you" vibes. His true personality however is quite gentle and considerate, but that's supposed to contrast his physical appearance, and it's something he shows only around people he really trusts. - He also has a very goofy side that usually comes out when he's drunk (I don't know if that's important).

Hed is kinda his opposite. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is very expressive and extroverted. He grew up in Vibe City so he's very loud and tends to exaggerate body gestures because he just needed to do a little more to get attention from trolls two to three times taller than him. His outward personality is pretty fun and he's always the one with the party plan and craziest ideas/pranks etc. He's a bit less self-aware than the average Joe, and he has no filter on his mouth, so he can come across as rude or mean, especially because he likes poking fun and making jokes. He can also act a bit full of himself sometimes.

Also, I imagine this might be important if you're thinking of drawing them with tails, Hed wasn't born with dreads. His natural hair is straight and shaggy (think Barb's pet bat), so if he had a tail, I imagine it having his natural hair at the tip.

Flea is the most phlegmatic of all of them. He doesn't really talk much and tends to mind his own business most of the time. He's not shy or anything, it's just the way he is. Think "lazy surfer dude" or something (He would fit right in on Vacay Island.) But he radiates this chill guy energy that attracts other trolls and he has a large amount of acquaintances because of it; almost every place the band stops at there's someone who knows him and if not he makes a new group of friends there (reference: the rock trolls that lent him the psychedelic rock records).

Liv joined the band because she and Hed started dating, and then Hed roped her into playing the drums because he prefers playing the frontman if he can. In my head she gives this stereotypical goth chick energy; she's very cool and composed all the time, and can seem kinda cold and unapproachable. But she's actually nice, and pretty smart. She's also pretty organized and studies for school in between their gigs and parties, because she's the only one with any real foresight.

Man, this was hard to write. I usually think about characters' personalities in a very abstract way and with a collage of "moments" and quirks that define them, and if I do put words to them, I more or less describe them in my mind in Slovenian, so it was hard to translate all of it in a way that makes sense.

Also, btw, the very first time I drew Les, I actually drew him with a tail. Because I really like the idea of rock trolls having tails to distinguish them better from pop. But then I realized a tail is just another limb I have to think about when drawing and kinda dropped it lmao

He deleted it because it accomplished what he wanted. He deliberately didn't post it to his stories, like he usually does, because he wanted it to be found. He wanted it to be searchable. He lives to torture people. The overwhelming majority of the comments were positive. The overwhelming majority. People got the joke. And the people who didn't get it (pretended not to get it I should say) were the people he knew wouldn't get it, and those people gave him exactly what he wanted. It's one of the reasons why I'm pretty sure Lou hasn't been on set. Because Kenny is absolutely the one who would make sure to get him in the background somehow just to watch the meltdown. It's what he does. You will not beat him. And yesterday proves Oliver and Ryan are more than willing to join him. Don't start a fight that will only embarrass and alienate you further. And not that it needs repeating but you also know the scripted joke for Lou was never the problem. The joke wasn't the problem. The timing of it and the placement of it within the context of that particular episode was the problem. Everyone has been quite clear about that.

To the other anons, no Oliver and Ryan have never been like this. But we don't know that this isn't how they would have been if fox had allowed it. One of the things that the BTS stuff from last year and so far this year proves is that fox obviously muzzled the two of them. It explains why neither of them ever seemed comfortable talking about Buddie. They clearly weren't allowed to engage. For whatever reason fox wanted no part of the Oliver/Ryan or Buddie show. ABC has decidedly embraced both, and it has worked out splendidly for ABC. And Oliver and Ryan are both now merrily following Kenny right down the chaos path. As for the articles I keep getting asked about most of them have been legitimate. But what's most interesting about them is they're all worded fairly closely which means they were given a direction from someone. They have all used the word 'shift' in the framing of their articles. One or two using similar phrasing happens so that could be explained away, all of them using similar language usually indicates they got a release of some kind from the show or studio. The two jurnos who cover the show full-time clearly got some kind of directive because their stories came out on the same day and were identical in nature. We don't have anything definitive, anons, but everything that is happening now has never happened before. That probably indicates something.

I never really considered them all using the same phrasing. That's definitely something to look out for.
