yesterday there was this tryout lecture for the theatre & filmstudies academic master program & the guy said if u wanna become an expert you should watch 3 movies a day and read 3 novels a week which was him re-quoting someone else idk anyway its funny bc obviously i read a lot already and have for years (btw just finished chuck tingle's debut novel (i believe its his debut anyway) it lives in that lovely area of genuinely good young adult books that fly under the radar but will manage to find their target audience somehow, same with that alex london guy for that matter) and ive been watching a lot of movies lately bc ive been staving off boredom ANYWAY point of this post being i just watched the sound of metal and i'm having such a hard time processing it but what a beautiful movie
