Okay, so it's very funny that you ask me that, because, you're the third person that brought it up to me, but I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Me and Break have been dating for over a year now, and are actually currently on a vacation in the tropics. I've been begging him to go for quite some time and he finally caved with the promise of all-inclusive sweets bundle. Isn't he amazing? :D <3

So anyways, we are currently on a leisurely stroll on the beach waiting for the sunset--

Xerxes, who snuck up behind me to look at my phone over my shoulder, "What are you doing over there, Lana?"

"Me? Oh, I'm just answering a mutual. People keep asking me about the wedding, so I'm trying to clarify that I don't know what they're talking about."

He mumbles under his breath, "Damn, I told them all to keep quiet about this..."

"I'm sorry, what?!"

He looks away shyly, his usual air of superiority gone once he was caught, "Lana..."

"Xerx...?"

He looks me in the eyes and takes both of my hands, bringing us to stand closer to each other. "I wanted this to be a surprise for you. You've been asking to go on this vacation for a while, because this place means something to you. So here we are now."

"And you... Told my friends that we're getting married...?" I cock my eyebrow in confusion.

"Well, I cannot marry you without your consent, I don't believe."

"You... you want to marry me?"

He chuckles, shaking his head in disbelief, "Why do you think we're here, in your favourite spot, during a sunset?"

My heart starts hammering in my chest as I'm putting 2 and 2 together. (I may or may not have mentioned to him that would be my ideal proposal fantasy.) He lets go of my hands and reaches inside his pocket, and with my hands free, all I can do is fan myself because tears are threatening to spring to my eyes.

He pulls out a dark purple ring box.

(I thought the bulge in his pants looked funny...)

Still my eyes light up the moment I recognize the object and I watch him lower himself down to his knee. It takes everything within me not to start weeping in joy.

He looks up at me, sincerity shining in his eye. "Lana. You've stuck with me through thick and thin for more than a year now, and I could not be more grateful for an amazing girlfriend such as yourself. There was a time I considered myself unworthy of love and happiness, but then you came into my life, and you threw those convictions out the window. Now I actually feel like I am worth something, with you by my side. So, selfishly, I want to ask you to stay by my side, for however long we're allowed to live together. And I'll do my best to make you happy, just as happy as you've been making me ever since I met you. So, Lana, will you marry me--?"

But before he can properly finish the question, I topple him to the ground, flinging my arms around his neck, and a squeal of joy penetrates the evening air. "Yes!!!!"

His back hits the sand and a soft 'umph' escapes him. He closes the box before he can lose the ring, something I haven't considered amid my excitement.

With my knees on either side of his body, I press my lips against his firmly. The smile on my face makes it hard to properly kiss, so I pull back and press my forehead against his, holding his face in my hands. I whisper into the space between us. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, and a million times yes, Xerx. I love you so much. It would be an honour to stay by your side forever."

His arms embrace me in a tight hug and he buries his face in the crook of my neck. "I'm so glad to hear that..." I can hear the relief in his voice. Was he honestly worried?

I suddenly remember what all my friends were saying to me. I pull away from him to look him in the eye. "Wait, so is this what my friends were asking about? You told them you were going to propose?"

"Well, of course, I had to ask for their opinions and inputs. I wanted to be sure. Except those traitors went and gave it all away!"

"You're such a fool..." I can't help but laugh. I lean in to kiss his forehead. "But you're my fool..."

He grins and leans up to steal a proper kiss. I giggle in response and nip him back. We're slowly starting to get more sensual with our kisses when I remember what brought me here.

Oh, that's right, so Meda, you, and all of my friends are invited to our wedding! :D We'll work out the details and send wedding invitations at a later date.

Right now, we need some privacy... ;)
