A Moment of Solace (Albedo x gn!reader)
I will do anything to procrastinate on the one thing I promised to write lmao. This may or may not be inspired by the Lantern Rite dinner party and one of Albedo's voicelines from the first GAA event where he said he'd prefer to spend time w us than to be alone <3
@mrpenguinpants hey I heard you were lookin for platonic fics 👀 there's no kissing in this one lmao
Summary: After a fun (but tiring) day at the Golden Apple Archipelago, you sit with your friends at the campfire. Albedo pulls you away for some quiet time. Words: 1227 Warnings: Reader is implied to be Traveler (Paimon is there). Kaeya jokes about reader and Albedo getting up to shenanigans. Casual soft touches. Reader and Albedo are introverts together :)
You rested your chin on your hand, staring into the fire as conversation flowed around you. It had been a tiring day, and as much as you enjoyed spending time with your friends, your social battery was undoubtedly beginning to run low. Whenever someone addressed you directly, you would flash a smile and reply, but it quickly faded after their attention was turned.
Across from you, Albedo had been quietly sketching while everyone else talked. As you stared, he looked up and caught your gaze. He smiled and you gave a small nod in return.
Soon, your focus shifted to other things. You were too tired to keep a grasp on a single train of thought, so you let your mind wander. With your attention drifting, you flinched in surprise when you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned to find Albedo standing behind you, hand outstretched.
“I was thinking of taking a walk. Would you care to join me?” he asked.
You blinked, a little confused by his sudden invitation, but you took his hand and let him pull you into a standing position. It would be nice to get away from the energy at the campfire, after all.
“Sure, where are we going?” you asked.
“Oh, Paimon wants to come too!”
The conversation around the campfire had stalled as Paimon’s exclamation drew everyone’s attention. You let out an awkward laugh as their eyes all turned to you and Albedo.
“Are you two going somewhere together?” Klee asked. “Can Klee go with you?”
You took a nervous breath, tensing as you tried to think of a way to gently let her down. You didn't think you had the energy to handle an excited Klee at the moment. You felt Albedo squeeze your hand and pull you toward him ever so slightly.
“Not right now, Klee,” Albedo said. You could hear the gentle smile he always wore when speaking to her. “We can play together later, but for now we'd like some time alone. …That means you should stay here too, Paimon.”
“Huh? Paimon too?” Paimon put her hands on her hips, giving Albedo a suspicious look. “You’re not about to do any more of your weird experiments again, are you?”
Behind Paimon, Kaeya let out a laugh. He had a mischievous smirk on his lips as he spoke. “Let’s give the lovebirds some privacy, Paimon. You probably wouldn’t want to see the things they get up to on their own, anyway.”
You narrowed your eyes at Kaeya, a disapproving frown on your lips. You could feel Albedo’s grip on your hand tighten for a moment. Before either of you could respond to Kaeya’s comment, both Jean and Diluc shot him a glare, causing him to hold his hands up in a placating gesture.
“Alright, alright… I’m sorry.” He chuckled. Beside you, Albedo let out a quiet sigh.
“We’ll only be a moment. Please excuse us,” Albedo said before guiding you away with a hand on your waist. As you left, you heard Klee asking Kaeya what he meant by the word “lovebirds.”
You and Albedo walked along the beach in silence. After a few moments, you glanced at him nervously.
“Um, so… what did you want to talk about?” you asked.
“Nothing.” Albedo’s hand dropped away from your waist and he turned to look at you. He had a small frown on his face as the two of you came to a stop in the shadow of a rocky outcrop. “I must apologize. I had meant to pull you away discreetly, but I seemed to have drawn even more attention to us.”
You let out a quiet laugh, shaking your head. “That was all Paimon’s fault, don’t worry about it.”
Albedo sighed, his lips curling into a smile as he did. “Even so… I should have anticipated her behavior.”
You chuckled again as you both began to walk once more, your strides easily matching each other.
“Well… if you didn’t want to talk, then what did you want to do?” you said.
“You looked tired,” Albedo replied. “I thought perhaps it was the result of being in such a large and energetic group for so long.”
After a pause, he added. “And… I also wanted to get away for a bit.”
You smiled as your gaze dropped to the ground. So he had recognized your social burnout just from looking at you? A warm feeling bloomed in your chest. He truly did know you well.
“Thank you,” you said quietly.
“Of course.”
The two of you walked on in silence for a little while longer before arriving at the other side of the island. You breathed in the fresh sea breeze with a smile. Letting out a contented sigh, you settled down on a flat rock. Your back pressed against the stony cliff behind you as you closed your eyes. A rustling of fabric beside you told you Albedo had joined you on the ground. You heard him take out his sketchbook, the pages fluttering in the breeze. The rhythm of the waves and the soft scratching of Albedo's pencil on paper soothed you greatly, and you soon found yourself resting your head on his shoulder, your mind adrift…
Your quiet sanctuary was broken by the sound of footsteps and voices raised in excitement. You jolted awake, eyes snapping open in time to see Klee launching herself toward you for a hug. Thankfully, Albedo prevented both of you from toppling into the sand.
“Wanna catch lizards with us?” Klee asked before you could even recover, her face lighting up in an excited smile. Behind her, you could see Kaeya making his way over at a much more leisurely pace. You looked back at Klee with an amused smile.
“Oh, I don't know… I'm pretty comfortable right here…” you said, relaxing into Albedo's arms. You could feel Albedo's soft chuckle rumble through his chest. He had put down his sketchbook to catch you, and as the wind blew past the pages, you caught a glimpse of some of his previous works, most of them featuring you.
Klee gripped the fabric of your clothes with her little hands, staring up at you with pleading eyes.
“Please?”
You laughed, patting Klee on the head. Although you had recovered some of your energy, you were still too tired to go running around with an excited child.
“Why don't you go on ahead? We can catch up later,” you said.
Klee readily agreed and skipped off to the other side of the beach. Kaeya watched her go, then turned to you with a teasing glint in his eye.
“So this is what the two of you were up to. And here I was worried that I’d have to tell Klee about the birds and the bees.”
You groaned and put a hand to your forehead. Albedo sighed, his breath brushing past your cheek. Kaeya simply laughed at your reactions. Before he could tease you further, though, Klee's voice rang out across the beach.
“Come on, Mr. Kaeya! Let's go!”
Kaeya glanced over at Klee, then back at you with a shrug. “Well, duty calls, I suppose. Don't have too much fun, you two.”
With a wave of his hand, he left to join Klee. When Kaeya disappeared around the corner, you exchanged a look with Albedo. The two of you shared a soft laugh. With a shake of your head, you both settled back into the quiet tranquility you had before. Soon, your eyes fell shut and you once again found yourself in a peaceful slumber, safe in Albedo's arms.

LANTERN RITE - BEAUTY
warning - none, sfw | character x gn reader
ALBEDO
“Amber ...” You groan from inside the bathroom, head in your hands as you peek through shy fingers to see yourself in the reflection of the mirror.
“Yeah?” There was a tumble, but you hear her feet move closer to the door after a few seconds.
“I don’t think this is going to work.”
“What do you mean?”
“I look so out of — I look ridiculous.”
“No, I doubt that.” She says, exaggerating the ‘o.’
“It’s true, I don’t think this - ugh - fits right or something?”
“Come out and let me see!” With a heavy sigh, you adjust the fabric a few more times until surrendering to it’s design. When you open the door, Amber is standing just outside, her body bent, hands pressed together as if she was trying to examine you through the wooden door. “OOH! You look incredible!”
“Amber —“
“Seriously, it looks even better on you than the model.” Flashing her a ‘you can’t be serious’ type of grimace, you try to dip back into the bathroom but don’t make it very far. “Trust me, trust me, you look awesome. Here.” She pulls you closer and spins you around, a soft giggle spilling from her as you stumble - it makes you laugh too - “See, we just need to … ah there!” She tugs at your clothes, spins you around one more time and fusses with your hair for a split second before nodding in approval. “Lovely!”
“Amber —“
“Let’s go, everyone should be here soon!” She pulls you toward the door and before you can make any further complaints, the two of you are headed down the stairs of the inn and toward the bustling city you were nervous to see.
—
It’s beautiful, wonderful, almost magical as you pass under the floating lanterns and yellow lights that seem to dance on the rooftops. There is an energy around you that makes you feel alive and, thankfully, less out of place that you fretted you’d be. As you move past the shop windows, you notice Amber has placed a few dry flowers in your hair - so that must be what she clipped in, you think. It’s hard to stay caught up but, as you look around, you notice here are so many lovely people walking about the boardwalk, some in plain clothes, others more fancily decorated, and even a few in outfits you’d never feel comfortable wearing. It was one thing for the city to be so accepting of having other Teyvatians celebrate the festival in Liyue attire but, no matter what, you always maintained your respect for the city and it’s culture. A few citizens noticed you but instead of frowning at your presence, they smiled and nodded a hello.
For a city of rules and regulations, strict contracts and equality, they were also widely accepting and it made you wonder if wind this free hadn’t come from Mondstadt itself. Speaking of —
“Hey guys!” Amber shouts and pulls you back from your thoughts and wandering eyes. You glance down the path toward the bridge, your heart getting faster as you see the group headed your way. “You made it!” She beams.
“Yes, sorry we are a little late.”
“It’s alright, we haven’t been waiting long.” She explains to Jean, her hand waving in front of her face to show her it wasn’t a big deal. When you look to the Dandelion Knight, you feel a twinge of ‘out of place-ness’ again. How is she able to be so beautiful in everything she ever wore. It wasn’t just her either, but Kaeya too. No matter how hard you try, you can’t help but stare at the both of them. “You all look great!” Amber expresses, fingers covering her lips as she looks over everyone.
“Well of course we do, what did you expect?” Kaeya saunters toward you, eyes closed and hand extended into a smug wave.
“We could say the same for you both, especially you, cutie.” You felt your heart flip at Lisa’s comment. She’s as elegant as ever, the gown she wears is so striking that it drew many, many eyes.
“Thanks, Lisa.” You whisper, embarrassed.
“Klee thanks so too! Right Albedo?” When you hear Albedo’s name, you swallow but don’t let go of Klee who is now hugging your leg tightly in her excitement.
“Yes, I would say you both look quite incredible.” He smiles to the both of you but you swear he lingers on you far longer than Amber. Nervous, unsure, trying not to get lost in your own wishes, you turn your attention to Klee and finally greet her.
“Ha, well thank you, and don’t you look just spectacular!”
“Hehe, Miss Lisa made all of our outfits! Klee even has a pocket for dodoco!” She shows you by shoving her hands in her dress pocket and retrieving a small, circular object that ... well ... doesn’t look like dodoco to you.
“OH!” Jean rushes forward and takes the object from her hands before passing it to Lisa who only giggles at the whole thing. “Aha, remember Klee we have to be extra careful here, remember.”
“Yes, Klee remembers!” She shouts and you all look apprehensively to one another; the only ones not fazed are Lisa and Albedo.
“Well, are we missing anyone?” You ask, desperately trying to change the subject and get on with the festival activities.
“Mmm, just - oh, there she is. Sucrose! Jean yells through the crowd and soon a very exhausted looking Sucrose joins the party.
Pushing up her glasses, she bows to the group, her green gown growing tighter around her as she does so. “S-sorry everyone. I became distracted on my way you see. I have held everyone up, apologies.”
“It’s alright, were you able to get what you needed?” Albedo asks, stepping closer to her.
“Yes, Mr. Albedo. I did.” They seem to have their own private conversation and while you’d love to join them, you realize it would be quiet hard with the two excited party members pulling at your hands.
“Let’s go! Let’s go!” Amber practically forces everyone to move and soon half of the Knights of Favonious are making their way through the crowded Liyue harbor.
As large as this group is, everyone seems to be having fun in their own way. Kaeya has found his samples of the local wine, Lisa and Jean have taken a watchful eye over the group even though Lisa has, on several occasions, tried to distract Jean with items you’d never imagine she’d pay mind to. Amber is splitting her time between Klee and yourself, pulling the both of you into activities until your lungs hurt from laughing and, while Sucrose continues to get lost or wander off toward the specialists, you can’t help but notice Albedo appearing and disappearing without warning.
There are moments he shows up beside you so unexpectedly that you jump. “I didn’t mean to frighten you.” He explains, his tone soft and gentle.
“It’s alright, I just didn’t know you were there.”
“Mmm, I was curious as to what you were doing.”
“Oh, well I’m not really sure but we’re building fireworks. Each bowl has different colors, these ones make the firework bigger, while these make it go higher.”
“Interesting, may I?”
“Oh, please!” You take a step aside and guide him until he’s ready. When he seems to have a handle on it, you return to your own firework and do your best to not get distracted by how he works. Everything he does it tactful, purposeful, accurate and soon he’s made several fireworks while you’re still lost on the one. “Wow, Albedo. That’s - so many.” You laugh, fingers brushing over your brow as you look at his creations.
“Oh, maybe I should … allow others to continue.”
“Maybe.” You chuckle and return to your firework. With a satisfying, click, you lock the ingredients inside their tube and hand it to the firework maker. “Thank you.” Bowing slightly, you turn to leave but Albedo’s hand causes you to falter. You catch your breath as his fingers touch your forehead, eyes locked on him, heart dangerously aware how close he is. “What - um.”
“You have powder on your face.” He’s so gentle, so thorough and you don’t dare move until he is done. “There.”
“Th-thank you. Um, Albe-?” The two of you pull back suddenly when Amber shouts your names so loudly it makes you stumble into the table at your side. “I guess we should - mm - yep.” Turning, you head toward the group and when you get there you accept the Xiao lantern Amber extends to you without question.
—
It was a lovely night for sure. Everyone is clearly exhausted by the time the final lanterns make their journey into the sky. Albedo sits next to Klee and assist her in lighting hers before they watch it float into the darkness. The way he looks at her makes you melt and, in your absent mind, you wish with your heart instead of your mind.
As the illuminated paper drifts on the wind, you take a moment to yourself on the upper level of the dock. From this viewpoint you can see the knights below and feel honored to be among them. Closing your eyes, you take in a breath and let the nighttime air fill you up completely.
“Are you alright?” A gentle voice finds it’s way into your peace but doesn’t disturb it.
“Mmhm, it’s just … today was a good day.” You express.
“It was, but it’s not over.”
“Oh?”
“The fireworks have yet to go off. It appears they are waiting for a clear sky as to not impede the lanterns.” Albedo takes up space at your side, his arms resting on the railing as he looks across the stretching blackness. On any other night it would look like a pit that could swallow you whole but tonight, tonight it was a glittering masterpiece.
“That sounds about right.”
There is a silence that slips in but you don’t mind. You always found this comfortable quiet near Albedo; no pressure to keep anything going. A complete and utter ease was the atmosphere he radiated and you soaked it up whenever you could. With a sigh, you close your eyes and let your fingers curl around the wood so you can lean back and let your head drop with gravity. “I must admit,” Albedo begins and you open your eyes to glance at him, “I wish I could capture this moment, but I neglected to bring a method to do so.”
“Oh, well I can’t imagine you’d find time with this group to draw. Where would you even start?”
“With you.”
You froze in place, unsure if you really heard what he said or if your wistful heart made it up. “M-Me?”
“Yes, if I had the time, and if you would allow me.” He twists his head to look at you and you slip from your hold. Easily, he moves to catch you, his arm wrapping around your back, other hand gripping on the railing to keep the two of you steady, standing, safe. “Are you —“
“Um.” The two of you stare, for the first time, at each other with all the intentions you ever dreamed of slipping into the pages of the story you desperately wanted to tell. “Albedo—?” A quick flash to his lips before your nervous hands find the long jacket that has slipped off one of his shoulders. He pulls you closer, his head tilts, expectantly you let your eyes flutter closed and for the first time you feel his chapped and perfect lips.
It’s a tender kiss, a little inexperienced but it makes the butterflies in your stomach explode. When he pulls back you let out a heated, shaking sigh. “I have seen much in my exploration of this world, but nothing compares to you.” He whispers and you bite your lip.
“I’m sure that’s not true.”
“It is. Y/N, my thoughts have pulled me in all directions but they all come back to you. I see that now, even if it took me a great deal of time to understand.”
“Albedo —“
“This world holds many a rare treasures indeed.” He hums and you feel his lips connect against yours again but this time you’ve join in the embrace with hands pulling at the fabric against his back and arms coiling around his neck. With ease, he lifts you up, his hand sliding to cup your cheek while his other holds you tenderly as the sky slowly explodes in large, colorful displays of the citizens creativity.
—
Suddenly, there is a huge boom and the two of you are startled apart only to hear shouting from below and Klee jumping up and down in excitement. Jean is in a full sprint toward the firework display and as high as your butterflies were flying moments ago, they are now shattering at the upcoming dread taking their place. “Klee —-!” The two of you run down the steps and, in your wake, a flower in full bloom falls from your hair and lands peacefully on the railing.

One More
Genshin makes my imagination vibrate pleasantly. I just want to give Kaeya a reason to make me go “Oh?” cause he’s not even my one of my favs. But the sheer sex appeal coming from that man is dangerous.
Characters: Kaeya Alberich (Genshin Impact) x Reader Warnings: Yandere, Groping, Innuendos, Alcohol, Aphrodisiacs, Insults
»»———————— ♡ ————————««
“Hey there, Sweetheart. What’s bringing you to the tavern so late at night?”
You had barely entered Angel’s Share and sat down at the bar before hearing the ever-so chipper voice of the cavalry captain drawing closer. There was nothing strange about meeting Kaeya here after a long day of work, but you and Charles exchanged a glance, the bartender sighing deeply. “I’ve only served him two drinks so far,” he explained, and you couldn’t help but think that was already one too many.
But who were you to say no to the Kaeya?
Perhaps better than anyone, Kaeya knew about the little game you two were playing. The always so icy shoulder you gave him as he continued to pressure you with his flirts was only making him want you so much more. You couldn’t count the number of times he had stopped you in the headquarters, pinned you between him and the wall - in broad daylight nonetheless - asking how you’re doing and if you need help with anything. You. Were. Sick of it! If he wanted a child to play father for, he could ask Klee to hang out with him! You, on the other hand, were a remarkable knight, trusted enough with complicated orders that - luckily! - kept you out of the city for a prolonged time so you could avoid him.
It only was hard when you weren’t on duty. Or in the city. Or close to him.
That’s when he became frisky, rather needy too.
Kaeya brushed his face from the left side of your head to the right, taking a deep breath. If it wasn’t known that you two reached back all the way to your training days, anyone would have raised an eyebrow. But most of the other guards were able to brush off his weirdness for affectionate friendship. It was almost like only you could see behind the farce, and perhaps his estranged brother. Not like Diluc had been any help to you, though, aside from breaking Kaeya off you once or twice when he was around and noticing your discomfort.
Taking up the stool beside you, there was no prior question if the seat was taken. A rather empty keg arrived with Kaeya at the bar, and he briefly tapped the rim until Charles fished for another bottle of alcohol to fill it up with. One could say Kaeya and a drink were a good mix, but to you, they were a terrible combination. Drinking made him bold. Unrestrained even.
Even though he offered his keg to you, you merely looked away, sipping at your own glass, one you much rather preferred to the brew he drank his night away with. Grinning, he instead took a hearty sip, leaning against the counter leisurely as he watched the bards perform near the entrance, but you didn’t miss even a single glance he sent your way every few seconds.
It was very unfortunate that you liked Angel’s Share for its drinks best; otherwise, you’d have had a good reason to avoid the establishment. But at the same time, you couldn’t let Kaeya direct all of your life. It was no state that you shouldn’t do what you enjoyed just because he could be there, and yet, you considered it.
“So, how was your mission? I’ve been missing your skills at training.”
“It was fine,” you answered curtly, uninterested in the conversation he initiated. There weren’t many people you talked to when you came back to Mondstadt. Somehow… it had always been hard for you to make friends with the other knights. Part of you suspected Kaeya being a reason why no one seemed to want to hang around, forcing you to spend most of your training with him since no one was willing to spar with you. Then again, you never had any evidence to confirm your suspicion, just like with many other phenomena you experienced over the years.
More than once had there been instances where your orders had been withdrawn just when you came close to solving the problems, often with the excuses that you were still too inexperienced or needed somewhere else. It had been so hard to raise in the ranks while Kaeya seemed to make leaps forward without a worry, but at least, you managed to secure your place now--one far away from the cavalry captain.
Sighing, Kaeya turned around to face the counter again, plopping his arm around your shoulders. Uncomfortably, you rolled your joints, but he instead pulled you closer to him, the smell of alcohol drafting off his lips as he spoke. “No need to play coy. You know you can tell me the truth. Didn’t you miss being home? I’m sure cleaning up those camps must have been exhausting!”
Missed being with me? seemed to be the words he wanted to say, but he packaged them in a way he knew they’d actually affect you. Kaeya had always been clever enough to poke the places that hurt. Of course, you missed home. You’d miss it more if not for him, but you had your family here, your siblings and parents that you’d like to see more often. But there was no chance with how much Kaeya liked to interfere in it. As if he was already part of your family, inviting himself and always showing up unannounced to hang out.
“‘Twas okay,” you replied after a moment of thought.
“Well, I missed you,” he chuckled before taking another sip of his keg. “I missed you sooo much!”
That was enough for you, brushing his arm off roughly before turning on your stool to leave. You knew even finding another space to sit wouldn’t spare you from him, and if you ended up in a less crowded area, you didn’t want to imagine what he’d do. “Aw, come on,” you heard behind you as he gripped your arm, making you stop. “I get it, I get it, you’re tired. But you can’t be tired enough not to drink one more with your old pal, right?”
With his voice rising in volume, you two finally gained some attention, and you instantly felt a rush of embarrassment as you stared into quite a few pairs of perplex eyes. Kaeya might have been eccentric, but he was well-liked nonetheless. Causing a scene had never worked well for you, and since you were already deemed an outsider, you’d only catapult yourself more into the shadows if any rumors spread after you left.
Clicking your tongue, you tore yourself out of his grip before sitting back on your chair again, holding up your finger. “One more. Only one more.”
“Of course,” Kaeya grinned, getting his will once again. “Only one.”
»»————— ♡
Hot lips brushing against each other, you had no better way to describe your state of being other than burning. For someone so cool and with an icy skill, Kaeya was not even close to being cold and reserved when it came to touching you. With a smile displayed on his mouth whenever he wasn’t using it to tease you, you could barely remember how you two ended up making out in one of the backstreets of Mondstadt. His hands were seemingly everywhere, and at the same time, lingered at the spots that created an audible cue from you when he squeezed them.
“You’re so sensitive,” he noted as you hung in his arms, hands currently squeezing your ass from your thighs upwards. “That’s good, I like that.”
“Fucker,” you merely cursed back. “You only said one more drink! I feel like shit! What the hell was that?”
“On the contrary, you feel amazing,” he ignored your questions, pushing his leg between yours as he pressed you closer to the cold stone wall behind you. A welcome sensation, giving you back some of your senses as the chill helped to calm your heated body. “I fucking hate you, Kaeya,” you confessed drunkenly, but the time was as good as any to say it.
“Ouch,” he brushed it off with a chuckle. “Are you sure? Your body grinding against mine is giving me very different vibes, Darling.”
Next thing, he was back in your mouth, his tongue roaming and keeping yours busy as you slung your arms around him. “You’re so stupid and mean, always testing everyone. You’re probably the reason everyone is avoiding me too, and you don’t let off no matter how much I tell you to leave me alone!”
“Mhm,” he hummed as his lips wandered down your neck, making you stretch it out for him so he could reach better. “And now... I don’t even know! You drugged me?!”
A soft laugh escaped him before you felt a suck at your collarbone, followed by the wet sensation of a tongue tasting your skin. “Bingo, Baby. Lisa really wanted to know what would happen if someone drank this potion and you were all too eager to get it down your throat-”
“To get away from you!” you interrupted him.
“Whatever.”
Finally, Kaeya came up on eye level again, the two of you staring at each other for a moment in silence.
“Whatever?” you questioned, confused by his reaction.
“Yeah, whatever. I think kissing you made me swallow at least, hm... half of it too. Even if we wanted to, we wouldn’t be able to stop now, don’t you think?”
One of the most disgusting grins you had ever seen on the face of a person played around his lips as he pressed up to you, uniting you two in another kiss. Of course, you could stop it! You could, and you would right now. After all, you had allowed it to go on for far too long now! Pressing your hands into his shoulders, Kaeya let out a soft sigh against your lips, his uncovered eye closed as he enjoyed the affection. “One more,” he mumbled as he kissed you again and again, feverishly and impatiently. “I’ve been waiting forever to do this.”
With the excitement of a teenage boy, his hands roamed your body, pulling out the shirt from your trousers to lodge themselves beneath it. Skillful fingertips drew patterns over your skin, up your spine, and down your sides until you were gasping and shivering in his grasp. “Good,” he sighed against your lips, unbothered by you still trying to push him away, only ever flinching as he groped you. “Don’t you already know it? How much you drive me crazy? It’s only fair I drive you crazy too.”
“What the fuck are you even talking about--” you tried to contradict him. But Kaeya was quick to muffle your voice with another deep kiss. Intentionally or not, he met one of your sensitive spots as he explored you, causing a hitched moan to escape you, followed by a satisfied grunt from him. “I’ve been waiting for so long, I can’t have you take it from me now,” he breathed out huskily.
“I’ll scream!” you threatened him. “Let me go now, Kaeya!”
“Ah-ah,” he rebuked you, one of his hands being freed of groping-duty to cover your mouth. “No one’s going to take you away from me now either. Come one, be good, okay?”
Waiting for the right moment, Kaeya couldn’t endure your angry stare for very long before falling into soft laughter. “All right, all right,” he chuckled before leaning forward brushing his lips against his hand. “One more kiss, okay? I will leave you alone after that.”
Furrowing your brows even more, he interpreted you shaking your head as a ‘no’, letting out a long, “Aww…”
“Only one more, pretty please?”
You had to give it to him: persistency was something he didn’t lack. It felt like shooting into your own foot, but part of you just wanted it to be over. You two had kissed so much up till now; how much worse would one more be? And if he let you go afterwards, you could definitely endure it. Lifting up your hand to yank his from your mouth, Kaeya didn’t expect you to take the initiative, looking at you perplexed as you leaned forward to kiss him. No one ever taught you how to kiss, and without his directions, you weren’t actually sure on how any of it worked, but he didn’t seem to mind, humming a pleased tune before returning your awkward smooches.
When was a kiss one kiss? When the lips parted? After the first initial touch? Kaeya’s definition was two minutes of continuous connection between you two, only briefly drawing back for air but never without upholding the contact by biting and pulling on your lip or having your tongue following his out of your mouth into the cold night. He gripped your head tightly in his palms, not allowing you to get away. Only when he let go did you fall back hard against the wall as you two finally broke apart, and you hadn’t noticed how much he had held you up.
The rich flavor of alcohol on your tongue and his scent in your nose didn’t help with getting a clear mind, but nothing about you made sense anymore. Now that he had let you fall back and away from him, you felt even hotter than before, your body clearly bothered by the lack of stimulation. What part of ‘I wanted none of this’ did you not understand yourself? At least by the throbbing in your abdomen, you could tell that whatever kind of potion he had given to you definitely wasn’t a fun experience, but all the more potent.
“Hurts, huh?” he laughed across from you. “Oh, fuck off,” you mustered to say, but the pain was obvious by your expression. You were barely able to keep yourself up properly.
“I’d offer my help, but you made it clear you didn’t want it.” The situation must have been really funny to him, only agitating you more. If it at least hadn’t been Kaeya, you might have accepted help, but you knew you’d have to get yourself home now all by yourself in a state of constant heat with no way to resolve it.
“You caused all of this! You should at least take responsibility without taking advantage of the situation!”
Pushing yourself away from the wall, you decided it was time to step away. There was no use in talking with Kaeya, but the moment your support dwindled, you noticed how wobbly your legs felt, barely capable of holding you up. What had you trained all these years for if a mere potion could make you so incredibly weak? Before you could get back to the wall, one knee gave away, making you sink to the ground where you could barely catch yourself with your hands.
“It’s really working you hard, isn’t it?” you heard him speak down from above. Squatting to your level, you felt his hand slide through your hair before gripping and lifting your head to face him. “Tell you what: If you ask nicely, I’ll help you. Can’t promise you’ll wake up in your bed tomorrow morning, but a bed nonetheless, wouldn’t that be nice?”
“Fuck you,” you hissed back, and he shook his head, disappointed.
“Try again.”
What choices did you have? Risk the little bit of reputation you still had by being found in the morning, disheveled and drunk from the night before? The knights absolutely hated anything that would ruin their pristine prestige, so much even you knew. You had worked so hard to get where you were, could you really risk all of it? “... please,” escaped you before you could think it through further.
“What was that?” he teased you, and you wondered why he could still be so clear even after drinking much more than you did and having had a taste of the potion from your lips. “Please help me get home.”
This time, he laughed out loud, obviously amused by how pitiful you had to behave to please him. “One more time. Say it one more time, and say it nice.”
Frustrated, you wished you could have punched him in the face, but you only bit your lip, taking a deep breath before complying. “Please, Kaeya. I need your help to get home. Please help me home!”
Embarrassment was all you could think about as he conditioned you to do as he wanted, but finally, after you did what Kaeya demanded, he petted your head, leaning forward to kiss your forehead before reaching under your arms to pull you up. “Look at you, all cute and begging me for help.”
Quickly being lifted from the ground, you found your new halt by gripping into his shoulders tightly and wrapping your legs around his waist as he held you in front of him. “You’re so adorable!” he chuckled as you clung to him much more in fear of him letting you fall than because you wanted it. He seemed to have similar thoughts, giving you a bit of a scare as he let go of you, having you hang from him by only your own strength, which you didn’t trust anymore. But just as quickly, your horrified expression made him laugh, and he gave your rear a teasing slap. Lucky for you, Kaeya didn’t make you fear any longer, embracing you back and allowing you to sink against him more as he started to make his way through the streets of Mondstadt. From an onlooker’s point of view, it might have seemed like you jumped him out of joy, but really, you clung on as if your life depended on it while Kaeya seemingly enjoyed the hug.
“Just get me home, you Asshole,” you grumbled, but your insults didn’t do any damage to his good mood. “Sure, I’ll get you home,” he replied chipper, but you already had bad thoughts as you heard that.
“At least, the place I call ‘home’,” he confirmed your suspicion, and inwardly, you already admitted defeat even as you punched your fist into his shoulder.
“You know how it is,” he brushed it off lightly, patting your backside while he climbed the stairs towards the headquarters with seemingly no effort.
“I can never refuse you or leave you be. I adore you way too much.”

An Unexpected Painting Session
Summary: After always seeing the Chief Alchemist paint and sketch and paint some more, Kaeya decides to give it a try. Turns out it takes a lot more skill than meets the eye to reproduce something as beautiful as one of Albedo’s paintings.
A/N; FINALLY something that isn’t Thanzag! Here’s my first Genshin Impact work! I’ve been super into Genshin lately, but haven’t written anything until now. Enjoy!
As the cool air of Dragonspine grazes Albedo’s fingers, he drew yet another stroke across his canvas, almost finishing his piece. He took a step back, admiring his work in progress from afar. He loved painting the various landscapes Dragonspine had to offer. Every area he would pick on this mountain to create a new piece offered him a new look on his surroundings. He never got bored of it, unlike other topics of research he has lost interest in long ago.
He loved coming up to Dragonspine. He didn’t mind the cold as much as any adventurer would. He found it quite soothing, in fact. The mysteries the mountain held also drew him in, helping him find many new things to investigate. His lust for learning would never be satisfied, the complexity of these cold summits were proof of that.
Yet, there was another cold and mystifying subject that had enticed him just as much as Dragonspine.
Albedo paced back to his canvas, satisfied with what he’s produced so far. As he continued filling in the snowy peaks in the landscape ahead of him, he thought of said subject. A subject as enticing as the peculiar wonders of Dragonspine seems impossible to think of, yet it stuck to Albedo's mind. The mystery behind a certain Cryo user who loves to go around teasing and flirting with everyone he encounters on his way.
A subject just as peculiar as Dragonspine could be none other than the enigma behind Kaeya, the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonious.
Albedo dipped his paintbrush into another shade of blue as he pondered about Kaeya some more. A man who disappears to Celestia knows where, it was only a matter of time for Albedo to find interest in him. What secrets does he hold? What is he hiding in plain sight? Might he be planning something dangerous? Why does he wear an eyepatch all the time? Why does every word he speaks baffle, yet still draw Albedo in further and further? All these questions were still a mystery to him, and he was willing to do whatever it takes to find the answers to them.
The chill in the area felt a lot colder now that Albedo had concluded his thoughts. He continued to paint, thinking that the change was just a brief gust of wind. However, the newfound feeling of a more chilling air around him lingered. Surely his fire didn’t go out, he could still feel the presence of the heat from behind him. However, there was another presence there, but not one of a campfire, or an object. It was a person.
“My, my, will you not even greet me with a simple ‘Hello’ or a ‘Nice seeing you here’?”
It is almost as if the Archons had heard Albedo’s thoughts and had brought to him the exact person on his mind. He turned to face Kaeya, a smile on the man’s face.
“And what brings you here to Dragonspine, Sir Kaeya?” Albedo asked, placing his paintbrush down, “It is quite cold up here, might I add.”
“Come on now, Albedo. There’s no need to be so formal,” Kaeya advanced towards him, particularly eyeing his artwork, “I just wanted to admire the scenery, the cold is barely a problem.”
Right, Kaeya did possess a Cryo vision after all. There isn’t a doubt that the cold wouldn’t nearly come close to affecting him. Albedo watched as Kaeya tried to get a peek at the canvas, though he was standing right in front of it, obscuring his vision. The smile still lingered on the Cavalry Captain’s face as he tried to look over Albedo’s shoulder, going from side to side as the alchemist followed his every movement. Typical of Kaeya to have such a childish nature, while still acting like an adult. Another captivating thing to note, Albedo thought.
“Oh please, won’t you let me have a look?” Kaeya asked, now standing still in front of Albedo.
“You should have just asked instead of going around me like some sort of child,” Albedo responded, looking up at Kaeya with a calm, yet irritated stare, “If I were painting in front of Klee, she would have done the same thing.”
Kaeya feigned an expression of hurt, putting his hand up to his chest, “You wound me, Chief Alchemist. May I see this wonderful painting of yours that you’re trying oh so hard to hide from me?”
Albedo nodded and took a step aside to reveal the piece he had worked on for Barbatos knows how long now. Kaeya hummed in satisfaction as he admired the work of art. It was of the snowy mountains of Dragonspine, of course, but it had such exquisite and fine detail, you wouldn’t be able to tell it apart from the real thing. The shades of blue and gray used were identical to the landscape. Kaeya looked up at the area in front of him, and then back down at the painting, humming once more.
“Such intricate detail as always,” Kaeya stepped back, looking at Albedo with a smile, “Truly another impressive feat of yours, how do you do it?”
Albedo appreciated Kaeya’s compliments, yet felt a wave of embarrassment overcome him. While praises certainly did feed into his pride, he couldn’t help but feel sheepish when receiving them. Especially when it came from Kaeya, it seems.
“It takes a lot of practice,” Albedo explained, ignoring his embarrassment with a cool expression on his face, “It’s taken a lot of time for my work to turn out like this.”
“Of course, of course,” Kaeya says in a genuine tone. He approached Albedo again, inspecting his art tools, “I wonder if I could do something as wonderful as this as well.”
“Would you like to try painting?” Albedo asks out of curiosity. Surely, it was what he was implying, but he still decided to ask. It was hard to tell what Kaeya meant at times, another reason why he disliked talking to and having relations with people. Kaeya simply laughed.
“I mean, it wouldn’t hurt to try,” Kaeya said, rubbing the back of his head, “However, I can assure you it won’t be a masterpiece like yours, prepare your eyes.”
Albedo nodded, “Well, I suppose you already know the basics of painting, correct?”
“I’d say I do, it doesn’t seem too complex,” Kaeya said, swiftly picking up the paintbrush that Albedo had placed down, “Do you happen to have a spare canvas?”
“Of course I do, I wouldn’t go around with just one canvas to spare,” Albedo reached down into the bag placed at his feet and fished out a fresh new canvas. He grabbed a new paintbrush as well as a cloth, which wasn't as clean as one would expect. He took the brush Kaeya was twirling in his hands away from him, earning a confused and upset expression from the captain.
"Hey, I was going to use that," Kaeya frowned. Albedo traded the used paintbrush with the clean one he fetched from his bag.
"It's dirty," Albedo explained, swiftly and gracefully taking a step towards the fire. There was a cup of nearly frozen water placed right by it. If he hadn't left it there, it would've been as hard as the ice covering the ground all around him. He knelt down and picked up the cup, feeling how cold it was despite the fact that he was wearing gloves. He dipped the paintbrush in the water several times, before quickly wiping it dry with the help of his washcloth. Even if it may not have been the cleanest, it did its job quite well.
Albedo got back up, making his way towards Kaeya who had just been standing in front of the easel. He looked over his shoulder and smiled.
"Do you have something in mind that you'd like to paint? It's much better to have an idea of what you'd like to do rather than going in blind," Albedo asked, now standing next to Kaeya. He handed him the palette, which had all the colors needed for Kaeya to create whatever he wanted. Kaeya seemed to be lost in thought, going through the different options he had in mind.
"I suppose I have an idea," Kaeya says, looking down at the palette in his hands. Albedo expected him to explain what he was going to paint, but instead he said, "Could you stand in front of the canvas? I'd like for this piece to be a… surprise."
Albedo, shocked by the sudden request, stepped away from the canvas. He stood facing the captain, so that he could get a look at whatever he was planning on doing. He also just wanted to see Kaeya’s face shift as he tried painting for the first time.
Kaeya rested the hand that held the paintbrush against his chin, seemingly lost in thought. He scanned the blank canvas before him, then finally gasping and dipping his brush into a color Albedo couldn’t guess. He dragged the brush along, making what Albedo could only assume to be thick and broad lines.
The alchemist let his mind wander as Kaeya painted away, studying the Cavalry Captain intensely. He thought more about the man standing in front of him, trying to come to a conclusion for one of the many questions he had asked himself. Nothing particular came to mind as always.
Albedo seemed to think of Kaeya quite often, and not only just to wonder about his past. He found himself thinking of how charming he is to look at, with such admirable features. His skin was blemishless, being a smooth caramel color all around. He'd heard people around Mondstadt speculate that the skin under his eyepatch would be lighter, but he disregarded those comments.
Kaeya's hair was yet another distinct feature of his that Albedo found quite pleasant. Navy hair as silky and smooth as that seemed impossible to be kept that way, especially when considering he would always style it in a low ponytail. One would expect it to get in the way, but Kaeya didn't seem to mind it at all. This made him all the more intriguing to Albedo, getting the gears in his head turning faster and faster. These features happened to make his heart quicken too, which Albedo just couldn't seem to understand the reasoning behind.
Kaeya’s gaze met his, making Albedo turn away in a quick movement. Kaeya chuckled under his breath, his stare lingering on the alchemist’s figure. He seemed to be finishing up his piece, Kaeya taking a step back, and looking at it from different angles.
“It’s done, would you like to see it?” Kaeya asked, “It could be better, but that doesn’t matter now, does it?”
Albedo paced back towards the easel, surprised by what was presented to him.
It wasn’t a landscape like he thought it would be, nor was it a flower or a tree from the surrounding area. The colors were quite nice to look at, he had to admit. From different shades of yellow to blue, with a teal nearing the color of his eyes, he admired the piece before him. Of course, it wasn’t a spectacular painting, he expected that. What he didn’t expect was to be met with his own face on the canvas.
“It’s me,” Albedo remarked, “You decided to paint me?”
“Why yes,” Kaeya explained, putting down the brush and the palette before him, “You have quite the charming appearance, Chief Alchemist.”
Albedo could’ve sworn he felt the heat rise to his face, but he shook it off, “You’re not that bad of a painter yourself, Kaeya. The colors are quite nice. You could use a bit of work on refining your technique.”
“I expected that,” Kaeya said, putting his arms behind his head, “Say, why don’t you teach me how to paint just like you? Shouldn’t be too hard, coming to see each other between our duties.”
“I think that would be quite nice,” Albedo said, a faint smile on his face, “Why don’t we head back to Mondstadt now? It’s getting quite chilly up here. I suppose you don’t have any duties to attend to at the moment and neither do I, so it would be the perfect time to get properly started.”
“Yes, that would be lovely,” Kaeya replied, helping Albedo put his affairs away for their journey down the mountain.
