kaiser’s a little shit, but he was your little shit. so that would explain why you’re racing down the streets of tokyo to find him.

he had gone out to the bar with his friends to celebrate a win and you had stayed home to finish a report.

but alexis had called you up voice shaking as he explained that he could not find your boyfriend at the club. your heart fell as you calmed him down and threw on shoed while grabbing your keys.

you got into the car and called kaiser about three times before he picked up.

“hello baby!!” he was so earnestly chipper, voice slurring. alcohol always took off the teasing edge that he so meticulously put up. you heaved out a sigh of relief as you put the phone on speaker and started the car.

“michael, i was so worried-”

“are you mad? i’m sorry…” he let out a sniffle from the other line. right, alcohol also got him emotional. you chuckled as you fastened your seatbelt, further laughing as he whined.

“don’ laugh ‘t me, meanie” you could just hear his lip jutting out as his cheeks puffed.

“i’m sorry baby, can you tell me where you are?” you pulled out of your parking space and began to glide down the street, speeding up with an urgency. he’s famous, it’s very dangerous for him to be alone and inebriated on the streets of tokyo.

you heard a confused groan and shuffling from the other side before he answered. “i don’t really know, don’ live in japan.”

you just sighed as you pulled over, picking up the phone again. “babe, i’m gonna facetime you, can you show me your surroundings?” he let out an eager ‘mhm!’ as you hit the video call button.

you were met with the sight of michael’s flushed face as he tried to press the button the flip the camera. huffs were coming out of his pursed lips as he furrowed his brows and tried to squint his eyes to see better. he was so frustrated he didn’t have his glasses right then.

“got it!” he was so happy as he pointed the camera around, pausing on any visible signs. you saw a convenience store you recognized and began to pull out of the temporary parking spot.

“thank you so much, you did so great” your honey words had him giggling as he turned the camera back to his face. eyes sparkling and cheeks painted a deeper rosey hue. he was so pretty in the moonlight with his eyes all big and doey.

“miss you, please hurry m’love” you felt your heart swell as your foot ticked a little further down against the gas peddle, engine roaring in response.

“miss you too baby. why’d you even leave the club, alexis was worried sick.” you heard a huff as he looked away from the screen.

as you turned the second to last corner he mumbled out a response. you asked him to repeat it since you didn’t hear.

“…wanted t’ see you, tried t’walk home…”

your heart couldn’t take this as a fond smile made its way to your face while you turned the last corner. seeing him standing off to the side, swaying while holding his phone. he looked so soft.

“that’s so sweet baby, could’ve just asked me to get’cha though” you said from your rolled down window as you pulled up next to him.

his smile was so bright as he greeted you, pressing a sloppy kiss to your cheek before going around to the passenger side. you hung up the call as you helped him with his seatbelt. unable to see the warm smile on his face as his eyes filled with adoration.

you pulled out and began to go home, turning to him. but he was already asleep. curled up towards you like plants do to the sun. his eyelashes fluttered in his sleep as he softly mumbled your name. yes, he was a little shit. but he was your little shit.
