And all I can think about is them:

Whump+Found Family

When the weakest one gets injured, and they all hover around them like mama hens, desperately trying to take care of them.

When the STRONGEST one gets injured, and they all flail around, trying to figure out how to take care of the one who always takes care of them.

When one character doesn’t realize they’ve been accepted into the family/think of themselves as outsides, until they get hurt and everyone takes shifts watching over them and taking care of them.

The Revenge for hurting one of their family.

Group cuddles after horrible days, where they all just pile up together in front of the couch.

One taking punishment for the whole group.

“Who did this to you?”

The recovery room being packed too tightly with people who love the whumpee and are worried.

Working together to carry the injured one.

“Why did you save me?” “That’s what family does.”

When one of them loses their voice, and the others have to try to guess what they mean.

Crying together.

The whole group just wrecking havoc in order to rescue their kidnapped teammate.

I always liked to imagine, back in the days of the New Teen Titans, Beast Boy Gar would just straight up sneak into someone’s room at night if he was having trouble sleeping... 

Which was fine, up until you wake up with an octopus wrapped around you...

Or having an off-ouch-my-bones moment underneath a horse...

Or with a giant cat draped across you, that defs wasn’t there the night before...

Or on top of something huge, warm and breathing, and you’re brain short-circuits at the sight of a t-rex beneath you. A polite one, that covered you with your own blanket again after it changed...

Or... or... or...

Many possibilities...

Aqualad/Tempest wakes up in the salt-sea swimming pool with a green dolphin snuggling up. It’s only a problem if Beast Boy has a ‘whale dream’ and things get Crowded.

Starfire happily curls up to something no one on earth can pronounce the name of, but he saw one on Tamaran once and Kory seemed to love them so...

Cyborg makes a big old fuss about not having animals in his room, but never seems to complain about the big fluffy green cat that slinks in and curls up on his chest while he charges overnight... besides, he can’t hate it too much if there’s now a catflap, right?

Kid Flash/Flash(er) always liked when a green cheetah slunk in and purred itself silly as he scritched between its ears. Also, conversely, he seemed to enjoy flopping bdily over the hard, unforgiving shell of a giant galapogos turtle... never really could explain that one...

Raven is a bit tetchy about her room being invaded... but some animals, birds most likely, are more acceptable than others. Ravens and owls tend to gain entry the most often... but she only ever lets the small an fluffy ferrets curl up on her pillows too...

Speedy/Red Arrow generally threw a pillow at anything bigger than a shetland pony. Though he never minded a large green great dane flopping its big old body on top of him, and poking him with a cold, wet nose. He would, however, draw the line... at a big slobbery lick. 

Troia/Wonder Girl and Nightwing never mind which animal he arrives as, when he sneaks into their rooms in the tower... as long as it was small enough to get through the door... wasn’t a gorilla (didn’t want to set off the anti-Grodd alarms), and Wasn’t A Bat (not funny Green Genes)... Either way, the two unofficial leaders of the team were relatively okay with Beast Boy sneaking in as random creatures, a long as he didn’t turn into anything too big for the floor to hold... 

You could only reinforce the tower so much before it broke for good. 

Still, whatever made him happy, right?
