You and Matt were sitting side-by-side at his dining room table while his dad was on the other side of the kitchen, cleaning up a few things while the three of you waited for the lasagna to finish baking.
The mouth-watering scent of garlic and oregano drifted through the air accompanied by the smell of the apple cinnamon candle burning a few feet from you. It had been less than a week since they'd moved in, but their house finally looked lived in, and almost everything that was previously packed away in boxes was now given a place.
"You guys want anything to drink?" His dad asked as he peeked over at the two of you. "You got any beer?" You wondered aloud. "She's kidding, dad!" Matt blurted out, looking at you wide-eyed and gently nudging you with his leg under the table.
His dad let out a laugh. "Sorry, kid. I've only got soda, water, and milk," he relayed, swinging open the door of the fridge as he listed off the options. "I'll have a coke," Matt requested. "I'll have the same," you responded, smiling.
His dad brought over two cans of coke and placed them in front of each of you. "Lasagna's got about ten more minutes, so sit tight," his dad told you. You peered over at the blue-eyed boy next to you, your gaze lingering on his pink, pouty lips.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" Matt innocently asked, reaching up to brush away whatever you were gawking at. "No. You're just so pretty. I can't stop looking at you," you whispered in a sultry voice. Your compliment colored his cheeks a shade of rosey pink.
"This shirt looks really good on you, too. It brings out your eyes," you commented, playing with the hem of the blue fabric. His breath hitched as your hand wandered south, slowly caressing his bulge over his pajama pants. His gaze darted over at you with his mouth hung open in shock and his eyebrows pinched together in a concerned expression.
"Please. Not in front of my dad. He'd be so mad if he found out," Matt softly whined. "Don't worry, baby. I'm not gonna let him find out. Just let me make you feel good," you purred into his ear, squeezing his erection through the cotton material.
Your eyes flickered over to Matt's dad, who was still in the kitchen with his back turned to the two of you as he loaded the dishwasher. You smirked back over at Matt as your fingers slithered into his waistband until you wrapped them firmly around his throbbing cock, setting it free from the restrictive fabric.
"Yes, mommy," he submitted to you, the words rolling off his tongue in a breathy moan. "Shhh," you held your finger up to your upturned lips. He nodded, relaxing into the chair and letting his stare drop to the movement of the red table cloth that was concealing your little secret.
"You're a naughty boy, aren't you? Letting me touch you under the table," you cooed, looking into his dreamy, blue eyes and his blissed out expression. He caught his bottom lip between his pearly-white teeth as he bit back a whimper, staring back at you. He weakly nodded, sinking into his pleasure.
His heart raced, worried the two of you would he caught, but a part of him liked the adrenaline rush. He could already feel the knot in his stomach taking form. "Naughty, naughty boy," you repeated softly in his ear as you brought him to the edge, knowing how much he loved being called that.
Just when it looked like he couldn't take much more, you slowed your movements to a stop. His dick throbbed in your grasp, silently begging you to keep going. "Please. So close," he whispered.
"Not yet. I wanna take my time," you cruelly responded, denying him relief. He shot you a desperate look that said, right now? You want to take your time right now? In this situation? But the only words that drifted from his pouty lips was a quiet, "You're crazy." He meant it as a compliment, of course, and you took it as such.
The sound of plates, coffee mugs, and silverware clanking around drowned out the sweet sounds he made. You flashed him a mischevious grin as you circled the sensitive tip with your thumb, intensifying his pleasure. His head gently fell back, and he emitted another soft whine.
"Dinner's ready," Matt's dad's voice broke through the sexual tension as he headed in your direction with two plates. Matt sat up in his chair, straightening his back and clearing his throat. He slowed his breathing, trying to be inconspicuous about what was being done to him under the table.
"Thanks, dad," he managed to squeak out. "Would you like to say the prayer before we dig in?" Matt's dad asked you as he sat across from you two with his own plate. "You know, I'll be honest, I don't pray much," you admitted to his dad.
"Can you show me how to, Matt? I know how hard you pray every night," you smirked over at the sweet, shy boy to your right as the images of him getting down on his knees flickered through your mind. He glanced over at you, wide-eyed while you continued slowly stroking his length beneath the table, every now and again brushing your thumb over his swollen head.
"I-I don't know. Maybe you could say the prayer, dad," Matt stammered, tightly gripping the seat of his chair. "Why don't you wanna say the prayer, Matt?" His father asked, furrowing his brow. "Yeah, what is it, Matt? You feel guilty about something?" You quietly mumbled beside him, only loud enough for him to hear.
"O-okay. I'll say the prayer," Matt agreed, swallowing the lump in his throat, interlocking his fingers, and lowering his gaze to the movement happening underneath the tablecloth. Matt's father lowered his head and closed his eyes, and you followed his lead, periodically peeling open an eye to peek over at Matt and the way he reacted to your touch.
"Lord," Matt said, wetting his lips. "Thank you, Lord, for providing for us," Matt started to pray, but quickly needed to bite back a whine. You watched as his dick print showed through the cloth, precum trickling from his tip and leaving a wet stain on the red fabric.
The sensation of your hand pumping his shaft while his cockhead rubbed against the silky material sent him into a blissful state that nearly made him forget what he was doing, but he quickly directed himself back to his train of thought.
"Thank you for blessing this food. May it s-strengthen and nourish our b-bodies," he managed to get through his sentence without sounding any more nervous than usual. "Thank you. In Jesus' name, amen," he hurried to finish the prayer. "Amen," you and Matt's dad said in unison.
Right as Matt's father was about to start eating, his phone started to ring. "I gotta take this. Excuse me," he apologetically pardoned himself as he picked up. "Hello?" His voice drifted off as he made his way to the other room.
"You almost let me get you off during the prayer, didn't you, naughty boy?" You purred, yanking on Matt's hair with your free hand and burying his face into your chest, his strangled moans dampened by your breasts. "Come on, Matt. You gotta hurry up. Cum for mommy," you whispered, raking through his hair with your fingers.
He wrapped his arms around your waist, looked up at you with his big, blue eyes and nodded, giving himself over to the desire that overtook him. His cock twitched in your grasp as you fervently pumped away, a sticky white fluid erupting from it and dousing your hand.
His whole body shivered, and he buried his face into your bosom like an embarrassed little boy. "That was amazing," you murmured, rustling his brown locks and kissing him on the forehead. "That felt so good," he told you, taking a napkin off the table to wipe himself off with.
"I need to go wash my hands," you chuckled, getting up from your seat and darting off over to the sink to clean off the evidence. You took Matt's dirty napkin with you and chucked it into the trash.
Humiliation tinted his pink cheeks as he called his breath back to him, his chest rising and falling with every labored inhale and exhale. "You're crazy, you know that?" Matt smirked at you, quickly tucking his dick back into his pants. "I know," you flashed him a cheeky smile and washed your hands.
As soon as you sat back down, Matt's dad came back in through the door. "Sorry about that. You guys didn't have to wait for me to start eating," he said, motioning towards your untouched plates. "Oh, we didn't mind," you replied, holding back a giggle, concealing the real reason why you hadn't started digging into your lasagna yet. Matt blushed, biting back a grin as he peered over at you, still trying to catch his breath.
"So, Matt tells me you like classic rock," Matt's dad started off, opening up conversation before taking a bite of his lasagna. "I do. Blue Öyster Cult, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, AC/DC, stuff like that," you responded.
"Is that the stuff your parents listen to?" He asked. "Oh, no. They hate it. That's why I started listening to it," you laughed. Matt's dad cleared his throat, glanced over at Matt, and turned his attention back to you.
"So, do you go to church?" Matt's dad asked, changing the subject and hoping you'd say something he liked. "God no. I don't really believe in that kind of thing, but you know, I'll always go if Matt invites me," you replied, reaching over and giving Matt's hand a comforting squeeze.
"Are you open to converting?" His father casually asked, shrugging his shoulders. "Honestly, I couldn't see myself converting, you know? My lifestyle and Christianity don't really agree," you replied with a mouth full of food. "Well, Matt here has always discussed wanting his future wife to be a woman of God," his dad casually mentioned. "Dad," Matt sharply interjected.
"What?" Matt's dad defensively asked. "That's not necessarily what I want. That's w-what y-you want," Matt stuttered, avoiding eye contact with his dad as he stabbed his lasagna with the prongs of his fork. "Where's this coming from, Matt?" His dad asked.
"J-just don't grill her about religion, dad. I like her despite that. D-don't put that kind of pressure on her," Matt said with a shaky voice. Matt's dad was taken aback. Matt wasn't usually the type to dissent from his dad, but he wasn't given much of a reason to until now.
"What's gotten into you, Matt?" His father asked, giving him a disappointed look and crossing his arms over his chest. "N-nothing," Matt replied, shaking his head.
"I think this girl is a bad influence on you," his dad replied, talking about you as if you weren't in the room. Your heart sank. "Ever since the two of you have been hanging out, there's something off about you, Matt. Something different. I don't know if I like it," Matt's dad said. Matt sat in silence, picking at his food but not eating any of it.
"What are your intentions with my son?" His dad asked, peering at you from across the table, setting down his silverware and interlocking his fingers to show you how serious he was.
The truth was, the first day you'd laid eyes on Matt, your intentions were simply to sleep with him, and your thought process didn't go much further than that. However, after getting to know him and spending time with him, the way you felt about him became more convoluted.
"I just want to make him happy," you shrugged, peering over at Matt who smiled back. You weren't sure what answer either of them were looking for, and to be honest, you hadn't pondered that question much yourself, so you were somewhat surprised at your own answer when it fell from your lips. Matt's dad remained unconvinced.
"If you wanna make him happy, maybe you should leave him alone and let him find a good Christian girl," his dad blurted out. You clenched your jaw. You felt a mix of anguish and rage as the words left his mouth.
"Are you serious, dad? You can't just say that to my girlfriend," Matt shot back, getting up from his chair and grabbing your hand. You and Matt hadn't discussed labels or anything, but the way he was standing up for you and referring to you as his girlfriend turned you on a bit.
"C'mon. You don't have to listen to this," Matt said to you as you both started to head towards his front door. "Where do you think you're going?" His dad called out after the two of you. "Out," Matt huffed without looking back, slamming the door shut behind him.
You and Matt stepped outside, feeling the cool air as it rushed over your hot skin. It was a testament to the ever-changing seasons, summer hanging on by a thread as autumn began to take its place. In the same way, the day was fading, the sun sinking low into the evening sky.
"Holy shit," you said in disbelief, completely stunned by the way Matt had spoken to his father. "I've never talked to him like that before," Matt whispered, glancing at you with a dazed look on his face.
"Did it feel good?" You wondered, your lips curling into a smile. "It did," Matt nodded after a long exhale. "C'mon. Let's go hide in my treehouse until he cools down," you suggested, grabbing Matt by the collar of his shirt and pulling him into your backyard.
"I'm really sorry he said all of that," Matt apologized to you once the two of you were perched side-by-side in your treehouse as you sprinkled weed into your rolling paper.
"Listen. You don't have to try to make me feel better. I wouldn't want my good little Christian son hanging out with a girl like me either," you snorted, flicking your lighter and feeling the warmth of the fire as you held it up to the end of your joint.
Matt watched as the flame engulfed the paper and lit up your facial features. The scent of marijuana filled the air. You blew out a plume of smoke and watched it dissipate against the pink and orange sky as the sun started to fade out of view.
"I'm scared to go home," Matt whispered, flashing you a look of vulnerability. "We can stay here as long as you want," you assured him, handing him the joint. He leaned his head against your shoulder as he took a puff and slowly exhaled, feeling the anxiety and worry float away with the smoke he blew out into the atmosphere.
"Can I ask you something?" You wondered, only realizing after you'd asked how redundant it was to ask if you could ask a question. "Sure," Matt timidly responded, passing the joint back to you.
"Did you mean it back there when you called me your girlfriend?" You asked, aimlessly ashing the joint off to the side. "I'm sorry. I know we haven't talked about it-" Matt started to say, but you cut him off. "I wanna be your girlfriend," you inserted.
"Y-you do?" Matt stammered, his pretty blue eyes raising to meet yours as a swarm of butterflies fluttered around in his stomach. You nodded and smiled. The two of you sat quietly for a few minutes, passing the joint back and forth until you felt the tension from earlier in the night leave your body.
"I just want to do something that'll make him mad," Matt told you, shaking his head as he replayed the way his father had spoken so brazenly to you. "How mad?" You asked, raising an eyebrow and handing the joint over again. He took it from you and took a long drag, the chery end crackling as he pulled from it.
"Something that'll really piss him off," Matt confessed to you. He'd never had this urge before, to purposefully do something his dad didn't want him to do out of pure spite. You took the joint back from Matt as your lips shifted into a smug grin.
"I bet it would piss him off if I got his innocent son high and fucked him in my treehouse, wouldn't it?" You cooed, your voice thick with lust. You held intense eye contact as you took one final drag from the joint and put it out.
"Oh, he'd be so mad if I knew I gave it up to a slut like you," he whispered, knowing how much you loved being called that. A flash of desire seeped into his expression. Your panties started to cling to your wet folds as you imagined corrupting the sweet boy beside you.
"Well, then let's make him livid," you seductively whispered, letting your fingertips crawl up his chest. He slowly nodded, his shaky breath growing shallow. You snaked your hand around his neck, firmly grasping it, not enough to choke him - just enough to excite him and test the waters.
You pressed your lips up against his, eliciting a soft moan from Matt as your tongue slipped into his mouth. You grew more aggressive in your touch, slightly squeezing your fingers around the boy's neck in a gesture of dominance as you bit down on his plump lips, leaving them tender and bruised once you were done. He was left with a warm, excited feeling as blood rushed to his cock.
"You know. The way you stood up for me back there? It was super hot. I wanted to knock everything off your kitchen table and fuck you on it," you whispered against his mouth, guiding him to lay back as you pinned him to the floor of your treehouse.
"Yeah? You liked that?" He asked, looking up at you wide-eyed, his chest heaving with every breath as he anticipated your next move. "I fucking loved it," you purred into his ear before you pulled back.
You started tugging down his pajama pants and his boxers, and his cock eagerly sprung out as you set him free. You could see precum was already drooling from his slit, and the cool breeze blowing over his tip made him shudder in delight. You grabbed ahold of it, firmly holding it in your grip, just barely unable to close your fist around its girth. Matt bit his lip as you did this.
"So big," you whispered, licking your lips and staring at it in the glow of the stringed lights that hugged the branches of your treehouse. "Really?" Matt asked, propping himself up on his elbows and peering down at the way your fingers were wrapped around it.
"Yeah, trust me. I've seen a lot. This one is big," you smirked up at him. "I didn't know," Matt replied, trying to hold back a grin, liking the idea that he had a big dick. You started gently working your hand up and down on Matt's length, coaxing a few moans from his lips.
You loved the idea of being the first person to ever touch Matt's most intimate places and to be the first to ever make him sound like that. You lowered your mouth and wrapped your lips around his sensitive head, saltiness filling your taste buds.
"Oh!" Matt softly moaned. His cock jerked at the unexpected sensation of your warm, soft tongue grazing the underside of his tip. You started lightly suckling on it, which drove Matt crazy. "Wow," Matt whispered, completely blown away by the feeling. You went slow and gentle, learning every vein and every ridge with your tongue.
"Your mouth.." Matt started to say, but his voice trailed off. "What is it, baby? Say it," you purred. "It feels sooo good," he whimpered, holding a strand of your hair out of the way. You hummed against his cock, slowly moving your mouth up and down on his length as you circled his tip your tongue.
"Mommy," he squealed, gripping the fabric of the back of your shirt until his fingers started to cramp up. You bobbed your head and up down faster, listening closely to the pretty sounds he made as he discovered for the first time how much he liked getting head.
He laid back and sank into the floorboards beneath him, giving himself over to your soft, velvety mouth. He entangled his fingers into your hair and gently pulled you further down onto his twitching cock. His tip tickled the back of your throat, and he started subtly bucking his hips up to get as much as he could out of the sensation of having his dick buried between your lips.
He curled his toes until they started going numb. A slew of needy moans and soft cries unfurled from his pink lips as he tossed his head back and screwed his eyes shut. You slowly slid back up his shaft, slipping him out of your mouth before he could finish.
"I knew you'd love that," you whispered, smiling up at him as you started undoing the button on your jeans. "I did, but you always stop when I'm so close," he replied, propping himself up on his arms again. That's when he noticed you slipping out of your pants. Then your panties. You took the lace garment and slingshot it in his direction.
"That's because I'm about to make you feel even better than I did with my mouth," you seductively responded, straddling him and hovering right over his pink tip. Matt peered down as you lined him up with your entrance and made his length disappear inside you. His jaw dropped, and his facial expression softened as you lowered yourself onto him.
"You're so wet," he whimpered as he felt you stretch around him. "It's all your fault," you replied, pulling your top off over your head and revealing your perfect tits to him before you grabbed both of his wrists and pinned them above his head. "So pretty," he whispered, staring at your breasts in the glow of the fairy lights strewn around the room.
Matt loved the way you took charge. He loved that you knew exactly what you wanted and that you unapologetically took it from him. The sensation of your cunt clenching around his cock as you started bouncing up and down on it had him seeing stars.
He knitted his eyebrows together, pleasure wrinkling his expression as he let his head fall back against the floor with a soft thump. A loud, satisfied "fuuuck," poured from his lips.
"Naughty boy. I've never heard you say that word before," you said in a breathy moan as you smirked. "Can't help it, mommy. Your pussy feels so fucking good," Matt whispered, watching the way your tits jiggled as you picked up speed.
You were shocked but turned on by the foul language he was using as you continued rolling your hips forward, finding your rhythm. "I wonder what your dad would think of you right now. I bet he'd be so mad that you're swearing," you maliciously smiled down at him, knowing that would probably be the least of his concerns.
He struggled against the way you restrained his wrists just to see what would happen, and his cock throbbed inside of you as you tightened your hold on them. "You like that?" You asked, feeling the way the sweet boy squirmed around beneath you. "Yes, mommy," a strangled moan fell from his lips.
"You're such a naughty boy, aren't you?" You asked, arching your back and angling his cock deep inside of you in a way that felt incredible for both of you. You released his wrists, and your hand flew to your clit, rubbing it in fast, tight circles.
You threw your head back as you approached your orgasm. Matt watched in awe as you fell apart on his cock, your whole body trembling as dopamine and oxytocin flooded your system. Your thighs were burning, and your knees ached from the hard wood beneath you, but you powered through.
You finished yourself off, your walls rhythmically throbbing around Matt's dick and sending him over the edge shortly after. "Oh fuck," he whimpered, feeling his cock tighten and twitch as you rode him wildly. His eyes rolled back into his head and his jaw fell open as he pumped you full of his cum.
He submitted to the earth-shattering pleasure that rippled through him and overpowered him, like being swallowed by a series of cascading waves, each one topping the last. You slowed the movement of your hips and came to a stop once you were sure you'd both finished.
The two of you gazed longingly into each other's eyes under the blanket of stars as your breaths slowly returned to both of you. Four days. Four days was all it took for him to fall in love with you. He'd known you for four days, and he had just crossed a line with you that he hadn't even crossed in his three-year-long relationship with May.
You leaned down while he was still inside of you, grabbed his jaw, and gave him a long, passionate kiss. Matt couldn't get enough of you. He loved your soft lips, your smooth skin, and the way you always tasted a bit like weed. You filled his senses, leaving him feeling almost delirious.
He chuckled against your mouth mid-kiss. "What is it?" You asked, caressing his flushed, pink face that was coated in a light layer of sweat. "I can't believe we just did that. That was the best orgasm I've ever had," Matt admitted.
"Me too," you said, nibbling on your bottom lip. "I thought you said you've had sex with a lot of people before," Matt gave you a skeptical look. "I have, but I don't know. This was just better for some reason," you confessed, shrugging a shoulder. You knew it was because this was the first time such deep feelings were involved, but you didn't want to say it out loud and risk sounding stupid.
You didn't have to say it. Matt understood. He bit back a smile. You peppered his face in light kisses, whispering praises to him about how good he felt and how much you loved him. He stared back at you with his glossy, bedroom eyes and his fucked out expression.
"If I ever have to move away again, I'm taking you with me."
Matt walked home late that night, the thirty feet from your treehouse to his front door, his mind flooded with thoughts of you, hoping he could just sneak in without alerting his dad. He quietly turned the knob, stepped inside, and shut it, making sure not to trigger the sound of the latch.
When Matt spun around, his dad was sitting at the kitchen table in the soft glow of the candle that was burning down to the wick. It was like he hadn't moved since Matt had left, as if he had been waiting for him to come home and scold him.
Matt swallowed the knot in his throat, his palms beginning to sweat. He was certain if his dad turned on a main light, he'd see his bloodshot eyes and his dilated pupils. Thankfully, he didn't. He kept it short and sweet. He let out a defeated sigh before he spoke.
"Son. I'm sorry. I had no right to talk to your friend that way," he started off. "Girlfriend," Matt corrected him. "I didn't even know you guys had made anything official yet. I feel like you don't tell me things anymore," his dad said in response.
"We just decided tonight," Matt muttered, avoiding direct eye contact with his dad. "Well, either way. I'm sorry. I understand if you're upset with me. Your girlfriend is welcome over whenever, and I'll apologize to her, too the next time I see her."
Matt narrowed his eyes and glanced over at his dad, wondering where the sudden change of heart had come from. "Just promise me, son, that you'll keep God at the forefront of your relationship and that you won't give into temptation," his dad asked of him.
Matt half-heartedly shrugged and hesitantly nodded. Matt's dad could see the resistance in his response, but he didn't want to pry. "Goodnight, dad," Matt replied before carrying his heavy feet across the kitchen and trudging up the stairs.
He didn't have the heart to tell his dad that he had been questioning things.

Googled "why does water sometimes not quench my thirst" and it brought up a reddit thread of someone asking that question and being like, i am trying to drink more water but it seems like it just doesn't do it sometimes, like i need a glass of milk or a can of soda to feel better.
And the amount of comments that are just, yeah that's called being addicted to sugar. Just keep drinking water you'll get used to it.
And I'm so just??????
Like for one i think sugar addiction is a stupid concept and not a thing, but for two like. If it was someone saying "water is so boring/i dont like the taste how do i get used to it" i can see that being a sort-of valid answer, like oh you're just so used to drinking soda, you'll like it more if you just keep drinking it
But??? How does Not Helping Me Be Less Thirsty have anything to do with "sugar addiction" lmfao i hate our stupid food culture
Anyways an actual answer was that you need electrolytes/other nutrients to actually help you absorb and keep the water instead of just pissing it right back out so drinking something else can actually help you get more water in your body and thus feel & be more hydrated. They said that skim milk is actually one of the more hydrating things & i just googled it and there seem to be Some studies that agree with this so like
Yeah man it's not fucking sugar addiction sometimes when your body wants you to drink something else it's cause you should fucking drink something else

My headcanons on how gravity falls characters drink their coffee or other drinks because I'm bored:
Ford: used to drink his coffee with a splash of milk and a mildly concerning amount of sugar but started downing it black while trying to stop Bill from possessing him, probably still drinks it black out of habit.
Stan: either splash of milk and no sugar or way too much sugar and no milk, I can't decide. probably both. I also imagine it's scorching hot, nuking it in the microwave immediately when it's anything colder than lava. It's reminiscent of painfully hot gas station coffee.
Fiddleford: this is an Appalachian/southern man, his coffee is either 99% sugar and milk or just black, I'm leaning towards the first. he also definitely drinks a lot of tea. Sweet tea, hot tea, herbal tea, all of them. it'd be a miracle if this man has never had a kidney stone.
Mabel: definitely something like an iced chai tea, blended coffee, or any themed drink that's going viral at that moment. She was the actual creator of the unicorn frappe. Regardless of what it is, you'll have to brush your teeth immediately after drinking unless you want a cavity from all the sugar.
Dipper: absolutely hates hot brewed coffee and only drinks cold brew if any coffee at all, Is not a fan of the bitterness. at least in my experience, cold brew is way smoother and less bitter than hot brewed. but I do feel like he would stick to sodas more often than not anyways.
Soos: is definitely a white or Green tea guy and you cannot convince me otherwise, would also have a floral tea like jasmine every once in awhile. Would totally have traditional Chinese tea setup and so many tea pets, especially the ones that spit water.
Wendy: Dr pepper.

Snow-jito !
Ingredients:
1 oz Bacardi Rum
1 oz Malibu Rum
6 Mint Leaves
0.5 oz simple syrup
1 oz Coconut Milk
Soda water to top
Mint Sprig for garnish
Coconut Flakes for garnish
Instructions:
In a highball or Collins glass, gently muddle the fresh mint leaves with simple syrup to release the mint’s aroma and oils. Avoid tearing the leaves to keep the flavor smooth.
Add the Bacardi rum, Malibu rum, and coconut milk to the glass. Stir well to ensure the ingredients are fully combined.
Fill the glass about three-quarters full with crushed ice to keep the drink chilled and refreshing.
Slowly pour soda water over the mixture to top off the glass, adding a fizzy, bubbly texture. Stir lightly to incorporate.
Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and a light sprinkle of coconut flakes for a snowy, festive touch.
Notes:
Use chilled soda water to keep the drink refreshingly cold.
For added flavor, toast the coconut flakes lightly before using them as a garnish.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup to taste.

I wish I had room to set up my keyboard/piano. I'd love to actually learn how to play--my little brother is amazing at playing the piano.
I want to learn new languages. I want to learn new things.
I wonder if there's a way to teach myself things, without having to pay for anything. Like, setting up lessons for myself, something to do every day.
I think this is coming from the fact that when things weren't looking goof for Harris, me and Star made a deal that if she lost, I wouldn't have a soda limit any more.
And after she lost, I went ham on my soda--except now that I have a choice, I actually want to drink less soda and more water. I've been getting headaches and they're not pleasant. But like, I just like the way water reacts with my body now. Cold, hydrating, that kind of thing.
Lately, I've been grabbing kitkats as a snack, and it's been not very satisfying to me. I don't feel fat or gross or anything, but they're just so sweet. I want dark chocolate over milk.
I noticed that I also do prefer eating meals with vegetables, that if they're already cooked and taste good then I'll eat them. I just struggle to make them.
My brain and body clearly are aching for healthier habits. I want more creative hobbies that make things. I want delicious, nutritious food.
I think maybe I should try to take the steps to get there. Find lessons on youtube or some other free video source on how to make things I want to make. Find ways to incorporate easy vegetables into my meals. Drink more water above drinking soda.
Just... start living again.

once again another "i've never been sponsored by anyone in my life but i'm autistic and feel compelled to share when i've enjoyed something" post. i've gotten these as groceries multiple times
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the buldak i eat with a lot of milk (3/4 cup), some butter (1 patty), some shredded mozzarella (vibes), and some imitation crab (~2.5 oz, or 1/3 of an 8 oz bag of flake style) i shred with a fork and knife. all of the powder. most of, but not all of the hot sauce packet. microwave to ensure the cheese melts. top with black pepper. i've also eaten them as-is (albeit with a little too much water) and the spice level was too high for me, but it's basically a spicy alfredo with a hint of indistinguishable umami meat-flavor. the spice overpowers the flavors, in my opinion. so bringing them out with real milk, real cheese, "real" meat, really elevates it. (and also because i didn't realize this the first time because the english instructions are unclear: this is a pasta. you cook the noodles alone and then strain all the water out before you add sauces and such.) also also. "cream carbonara" is different from "carbonara." i specifically get the cream one because it is milder.
the classic samyang i use about 1.5 tablespoons of the soup base, all of the toppings. i do egg-drop ribbons. and then sometimes i'll toss other stuff in depending on what's in my fridge. maybe some chicken or meatballs or lunch meat. edamame i feel is too firm but maybe a softer legume or vegetable. the more stuff you add, the less spicy it will be, so i'll add more soup base if i think it's too bland. the flavor of the soup is like... smoked ham? but it's actually halal. and it's spicy as well.
the milk toast i typically slice into four pieces, and put all four in the toaster (even the "end" pieces) for a VERY short time (because they burn easily). and top with either a fruit jam or butter + honey + schechuan pepper. you can also eat the cube as-is by pulling pieces off and eating them as you would a baguette. it's a sweetened bread so it's not really meant for savory things like sandwiches. and it's shelf-stable for several weeks at least, although it starts to go stale over time. the bags each contain four cubes that are like... 3 x 3 x 3 inches i think? the slices just barely fit in my toaster
the UCC brand of melon soda i used to drink a lot when i was a kid but i can't find it anywhere around here anymore. it makes for a nice treat every once in a while. very refreshing. the mango flavor is good too but not as much as the melon
the salted-vanilla pocky is seasonal (for summer) so i'm going to be sad when it's gone. but it's a really interesting flavor contrast. it reminds me of "milk pocky" (which i've also been unable to track down for years) and it's also sort of pretzel-like with the salt coating. really good
the marshmallows, if i'm not careful, get devoured in one sitting. they're loose in the bag, not individually wrapped like other marshmallow candies i've had before. and they're also smaller in size. the mango jelly is really good
i haven't tried a lot of japanese chocolate but i was impressed by how creamy this lotte bar was. i'm also a sucker for strawberry-flavored chocolate in general. i'm curious to see what their milk chocolate is like
and, again, not sponsored. no code. nothing. but i get my asian groceries through Yami, which i find is cheaper than amazon. i click the "fulfilled by yami" box so everything ships at the same time and it's coming from california, rather than overseas. i haven't had any issues with them so far. but if you actually have access to these groceries in your area, support local asian grocers rather than buying online. i live in a food desert, so this isn't possible for me unless i drive quite a distance, and even then, there are not many options

♍︎'s Eating Rules
No high-sodium foods, especially near bedtime or supper. This is to avoid water retention, lessening the likelihood of weight gain in the morning. If salt is needed, just sprinkle a pack or two into some water and drink. (1,000-1,500 mg daily limit of sodium.)
Hardly any greasy foods, as they're obviously higher in calories. Opt to use a small amount of oil and butter when cooking or greasing any baking pans.
Avoid normal milk; drink only unsweetened nut milk. If the taste is too disgusting at the moment, put some stevia in.
No diet soda unless fasting. Other drinks are okay, like an energy drink to keep awake, vitamin water or flavored water work fine too. Plain tea is preferred. Drinks with calories are fine too, but the average serving amount in the beverage has to be under 100 calories and MUST be counted.
For Takeout: Once a week. Pick the healthiest, lowest calorie option. If you do not know it, pick a salad or find a food that meets the criteria of: One of the least greasy, involves the least amount of bread, low in at least two of sugar/sodium/fat.
More fruit, more veggies, more protein. Less (processed) sugar, less sodium, fewer calories.
Must distract myself at least 3 times before eating, whether it be through working on my motivation board, or taking a break from my routine and scrolling for 15 minutes.
Exercise and restrict harder if you go over the calorie limit. Doesn't even matter if it's by one calorie or a binge, 10-15 extra minutes WILL be added to your hour of treadmill daily.
Smoothies once a week, due to both texture aversion and needing to get fruits and veggies in, but also not wanting too much sugar and calories.
Salads. Salads. Salads. Try new salads, get your veggies and fruits in whilst also being low-calorie enough. Even if the dressing is high-calorie, as long as you restrict enough in general that day, the salad will always be worth it.
The goal is to lose ten pounds a month and be 110 lbs. I will not state the weight I am, nor track how many pounds I need to lose; However, I will track the weight lost and will be rewarding myself for every 5 pounds lost. I must become very strict with myself, I want to do this not only to gain my dream body I've been wishing for, but to also impress the people who have doubted me... To prove something to the people who did. Competition and pressure is a good motivator for me, and unlike to my dietitan, I will not lie on here.
The first diet I am doing (That will be tracked and with a few, minimal amount of tags I KNOW I can trust):
Tumblr media
Note that I will be doing these days out of order, and will be fasting every second day, but will still be doing the diet.

National Hydration Day
With summer starting, it's crucial to be extra conscious about  hydration. Although everyone must stay hydrated, National Hydration Day  is particularly geared towards athletes, who must put in additional  effort to maintain hydration while training. Athletes must be hydrated  before a workout, drink fluids during it, and continue hydrating  following it. Water is the essential hydrating drink, but athletes may  benefit from sports drinks with electrolytes like magnesium, potassium,  sodium, and calcium, that replenish those lost during perspiration.
National Hydration Day was founded by the SafeTGuard Corporation, the  makers of FuelGard™ Mouthguard and Electrolyte Tablets. This mouthguard  not only protects athletes but provides them with electrolytes to help  them maintain hydration during training. The day was founded in honor of  Coach Victor Hawkins, the creator of this mouthguard,  who passed away on June 23, 2012. It honors Hawkins' "contributions to  athlete health, safety, and success" and "increase[s] awareness of the  importance of proper hydration to athletes everywhere."
Hydration assists in regulating body temperature, revitalizing skin,  lubricating and cushioning joints, protecting the spinal cord and other  tissues, and removing waste by helping with perspiration, urination, and  bowel movements. Dehydration can lead to kidney stones, fatigue,  overheating, unclear thinking, and mood changes. In extreme  circumstances, it can cause heatstroke and death.
Monitoring hydration is particularly important when in a hot climate,  when being more physically active, and when experiencing fever,  diarrhea, or vomiting. Older people, infants, and young children, and  those with chronic illnesses that cause them to urinate or sweat more,  or who take medicines that cause them to do the same, are at a higher  risk of dehydration. Water and other fluids like milk, kombucha, and  smoothies are beneficial for hydrating, while sweetened drinks, alcohol,  and highly caffeinated drinks are not. Salad greens and other fresh  vegetables are full of water, as are fruits, and are also helpful for  maintaining hydration.
How to Observe National Hydration Day
Athletes  and non-athletes alike should stay hydrated today and on the hot summer  days to come. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids as part of your daily  routine. Remind others to do the same by sharing #NationalHydrationDay  on social media.
Indicators that you may be dehydrated:
Thirst.
Dry mouth.
Tiredness.
Dizziness.
Urinating and sweating less than usual.
Dark-colored urine.
More severe dehydration symptoms like rapid heartbeat, rapid breathing, and fainting require immediate medical attention.
Tips to stay hydrated:
Carry a reusable water bottle with you.
Drink water before, during, and after workouts.
Drink water with meals at home and at restaurants.
Infuse water with lemons, limes, oranges, berries, cucumbers, or mint.
Drink seltzer water, milk, kombucha, smoothies, and 100% fruit or vegetable juices.
If drinking sports drinks, make sure they don't have a lot of added  sugar or other sweeteners. Avoid sweetened drinks like soda and energy  drinks in general, as well as alcohol and drinks high in calories and  caffeine.
Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit.

Sounds weird but I’m trying to lose weight after becoming basically very fat from pandemic and mental health issues and just wondering if you and others have any workout recommendations or tips ? I will do it all safely and I eat properly too!
So I gained some weight as well during the pandemic. Here are some things that helped me get back on track.
I bought a Peloton bike, however the app is amazing and I downloaded it to my TV to do other exercises. I also have a Fit Bit to keep track of my steps/exercise. I also make sure to take the dog on a 2 mile walk 3-4x per week...used to be longer but it is hard with my schedule now we are back to in office. One thing is that I am SUPER competitive with others and myself so that helps me try and reach my daily goals. Also you can turn cleaning house or chores into an easy workout. There are also exercises you can find on Pinterest. Like 30 day challenges that are really good depending on where you want to tone.
A thing that is VERY important is a food scale. I weight ALL of my food to the serving size and keep a mental (used to write it down) track of my daily caloric intake.
Foods high in fiber are SUPER important. I eat a Baby Spinach salad every day that I weigh out that has an assortment of veggies. I usually do a protein smoothie in the morning. You can find a list of lean meats that you should try and stick to. The leaner the better and the more ounces you can have. That fattier the meat the more you need to eat less.
Do your BMI and see how much fiber you should be getting daily.
I also have pretty much cut out bread/pasta as much as I can. Every now and then I indulge but carbs sit like a lead weight for me.
I have a printed grocery list so I know exactly what I need each week to stay within budget but also to make healthy choices.
I only have water & milk in the house so no sodas or juices which contain tons of sugar. The milk is for my kiddo but I use personally almond milk. Even got my dad to switch to it from normal milk to help with his high blood pressure. You need to make sure you drink half your body weight in water daily. This will help more than you know.
An app that can help with better food choices is Fooducate. You can scan the barcode of food that is ranked by nutritionists. See where it is scored and search for healthier alternatives. You can also enter in all the food you eat during the day and it will show you where you need to adjust.
Another thing is to keep an itemized budget. When you add up all the $ you spend on eating out/unhealthy, it really knocks some sense into you how much $ you are wasting with bad habits.
When you start to clean eat and exercise, you will feel like crap for a few days but the energy you will have after about 4-5 days will change your life. Believe me.

hiiii i'm frustrated about posts that state things like "you HAVE to drink water with nothing else in it" or "you HAVE to eat fruits/vegetables without putting them in 'bad' food" so. a post.
it is literally better to drink anything (juice, tea, coffee, sofa, milk, whatever) than not drink. if you can't tolerate water or won't reliably sip it throughout the day, it's better to make something you WILL drink than not drink at all.
veggies are the same way. 'bad' salad dressings or whatever else are still better if it means you can eat vegetables. these things don't "cancel out" if you add or do stuff to them. not enough to be worth your body rejecting the "correct" arrangement and not getting anything, at least.
i'm autistic. if i try to eat stuff i don't like or don't tolerate well, i throw up. friends can attest to this, as i've tried things in restaurants and instantly thrown up. i gag at the smell of pineapple or red doritos, without even tasting them. i'm also chronically ill with an autoimmune disease and do not have the energy nor luxury to 'teach' myself how to tolerate food better, or to make complicated, time consuming dishes that meet the criteria some of these posts set out.
when i tried to drink mostly water, i was literally MORE dehydrated. i could feel it in the elasticity of my skin, i could see it in the color of my urine. the fact is, there is no reality in which i can tolerate water enough to drink what i need of it. it has to be something else. sometimes i can make "good" choices in alternatives, like juice, but a lot of the time if i don't drink milk or soda, i don't drink. i can't. i will block it out or, worse, make an honest attempt and hurl my guts out due to intolerance.
look, fluids and vegetables are IMPORTANT. i'm not saying they're not. all i'm saying is if you need to consume them in an "unideal" way, that it's fine. you'll be fine. my auntie can't eat literally 90% of "healthy" foods because she is flat out allergic. it makes her feel worse. it makes her unhealthy.
i implore you to look up recipes that include a lot of fruits, veggies or water—assuming you don't have a literal allergic—that look EDIBLE, and specifically look GOOD. you will get a lot more use out of a "subpar" meal you LIKE than one you have to pick and grit your teeth through. a lot of people discover they like veggies made certain ways, so please experiment! if you find something "weird" but it's tasty to you, keep making that! keep looking for things that you WILL eat or drink, or CAN eat or drink.
i get the intention of posts like, "you need to drink more water, without anything in it," i do. i get that there are a huge number of people who can make it work. i also know i had the most debilitating constipation of my life when i was drinking "nothing but water", because i can't actually drink enough of it to do any good. my urine was so yellow and opaque my doctor, at a glance, thought i had a uti. i didn't.
if you can do it, great! but i don't want to see more people like me or my aunt feel like they're not "doing enough" if they can't do these things "correctly". anything is better than nothing, and "less overall useful things you can do reliably" are often better than "more useful things you can't do much or at all".
i'm not here to argue about it. i have tried to "eat healthier", to "drink more water", and i am still trying. i look for new ways to consume water and veggies all the time. i definitely encourage that! what's unhelpful to me are posts that make me feel bad for things that have literally helped me stay healthier and stronger. for anyone else with similar experiences, and/or the unwillingness or LITERAL INABILITY to do certain things with food and water, i want you to drink. i want you to eat. i don't care what it is as long as it's not nothing. please don't break yourselves over things that are unrealistic expectations for you. if you can't do it, find something you can do. eat. drink. experiment with what works best. i love you.

@sinshosted || Continued from [ x ]
Normally, children wouldn't be allowed at the bar. It was less a moral obligation and more adherence to some legal obligations. But Ava was a special case, Wulf felt. Like bringing a little sister one was supposed to be babysitting to work.
Although, she wasn't entirely sure on what someone like Ava could possibly drink. Water was forgone for the younger's unusual circumstance and it seemed in the basic ideal of guessing instead of asking, the taller German woman was pouring various non-alcoholic drinks halfway into glasses and setting them down in a neat little line.
Three different kinds of fruit juices: orange, peach, cherry. Two different kinds of soda: Coke and a lemon-lime. For good measure anyway, a glass of straight water. No ice, only a little chilled. The last one on the bartop. She's gathering up for making a glass of milk to complete the spectrum, anything if not thorough.
The uncertain inquiry Ava gives her makes her stop in this final endeavour, holding the unfilled glass in one hand as she thinks on how is best to answer that. She knows she doesn't have to pull punches or hide any intent from the girl. Ava's seen some shit as well, it wouldn't do to talk down to her.
"...Let us just say I do not exactly have a standing relationship with most governing authority." she says in that low almost whispering tone, smooth and easy like it's air itself. Pleasant on the ears but projected in such a way that those in the immediate vicinity can hear it. She's clearly had some time to practice this skill.
"And my relationship with religion is ... rocky, at best."
That's an understatement, but a flash of that glowing gaze toward the agents parked near one of the doors hidden in a shift of the smoking silver wolf's head pipe from one corner of her mouth to the other says she can't elaborate on that now. She does notice that through the cloud of sweet-smelling clove-smoke and the flash of embers, that pair looks up briefly at her from paperwork they've been going through. They have an inkling she's talking about them, but until they hear more substantial proof, their hands are equally as tied in this. They've already thrown a fit about Ava's presence here, uneasily assured that she is not having alcohol, this is the only place she can be for now. After all, the towering bartender is not going to leave the equivalence of a wildfire in her apartment in Stuttgart, that's asking for trouble. And arson.
Wulf lets her gaze linger on the dangerously curious pair a moment longer before returning herself to the task she's neglected for the moment's time. The glass is flipped back upright and a small jar of fresh milk delivered this morning is out of the minifridge under the bar and poured halfway into the glass to complete the disarrayed collection she's been accruing.
"But that. That is a subject for a different point in time." Her voice is still low and smooth, but musically lilting with amusement. "We will say ... a lot."

Tips from a grocery worker/foodsafe certified waiter!
The temperature 'danger zone' for food and drink is 40-140F, with 2 hours being the limit without refrigeration/cooking.
Open container, Public Intoxication, and Driving Under Influence are all separate broken laws. Establishments that serve alcohol in the US are required to cut you off the moment you are visibly drunk. 'Open container' can also be a misnomer and vary by state- bottles and cans in anything less than a glued blox may need to be in a bag.
Raw flour has E. Coli bacteria, factory farmed eggs will have salmonella due to poor hygiene (sitting in their own shit).
Speaking of eggs, grocery eggs are 2 weeks old due to needing to properly settle to a baking standard. Eggs from a local farmer may be safer, but will also be somewhat different and not have enough air for baking until they are also that age.
Steak is safe to eat rare due to its thickness and proximity away to any nasties in the body waste; hamburger is not. Burger is ground up with various cuts and intestines so needs to be cooked properly well done. Chickens are too small to have this effect, so salmonella is a risk no matter what. Pork is somewhat in between, as there is a risk for trichinosis, but the larvae are much easier to spot, making this start to go extinct in domestic pigs.
Dogs and Cats in general cannot have spices or seasonings, grapes, chocolate, or milk.
Most creatures are lactose intolerant due to the fact that they will not grow up into 1000 lb animals. Goats however, are closer to human size so their milk and cheese is more digestible. Smaller animals will need dilluted goat's milk, into a custom formula. (your grocery store may have this in a can, powdered.)
Pasta noodles mainly exist to hold sauce flavor in proportion; thicker noodles like rotini are usually recommended for thicker sauces such as tomato/marinara.
It is safer for pizza chefs to not wear gloves, actually! Gloves cannot be washed, only changed, and they are trained anyways to not touch someone's food once cooked. Cooking trays/pans, industrial sized knives, spatulas, and boxes all make this possible.
Humans are very dense and weighty creatures proportionally, that they can essentially tank a lot of poison damage that other animals cannot. This is one of many reasons we are not picky eaters as a whole!
Kids instinctively dislike bitter foods due to not having grown up into this said tankiness; vegetables and things that may be good for them can taste like poison, and they cannot tell the difference yet.
Electric Kettles are more efficient at boiling water than stovetops. I'll let the video guy speak for himself, but they boil water directly rather then heating a pot/pan which then heats the water. This is great for things such as small meals, partially unclogging drains, or heating bathwater.
Keurig or similar machines do not boil the water for your coffee! They heat to 100 degrees, so if your town has a boil order up, do not pour unboiled water into their tanks!
Large packs of water and soda often have bar codes on the top- you may not have to lift them if a laser-gun can get involved!
chicken nuggets from the golden arches are beer battered, the way fish are. They're fish-fried chicken.
Grocery Register Belts can have some really dumb design- with the computer /register itself taking up half the width of the goddamn belt. Keep your food safer by loading the belt heavy to light if you can- or light to heavy. Also, putting your food in a straight line towards the checker. You cannot trust the infared camera to stop the belt unless your items are opaque- your beer will crush your bananas in front of them unless they can slide over the scanner zone. You will prefer a fixable scan error until we can perform alchemy.
Fruits and Vegetables have 4 digit international trade codes! unless you know what breed your apple is or are bad with numbers, these are probably easier to input if you happen to be ringing these up yourself. It is perfectly possible for a self-check system to sell you the wrong kind. Same thing with the numbers on a bar code- they also work, if your code is faded or corrupted. (or, for whatever fucking reason a brand decides, light colors like silver, or cute shapes. those suck. looking at you, bud fucking weiser with your fucking ribbon.) The laser guns are a bit more accurate than the belt as a second resort.

*rams into the wall with my car and stumbles towards you*
are you a picky eater and you wanna eat healthy to make yourself feel better but you don't really like vegetables
well i got some advice for you, cause i'm the same way, and i am Trying my Best (TM)
(also let me just say i am NOT a professional in any way so take everything i'm saying with a grain of salt lmao)
K SO.
first thing's first; figure out the healthy things you WILL eat. if you're like me and are okay with eating fruit but not so much vegetables, RUN WITH THAT LIKE THE WIND. fruit is good and awesome and you can mix it into a lot of different sweet foods and eat it by itself. if you like JUST raw carrots (guilty, hate them cooked), eat just raw carrots!!! be a bunny!!! do it!!!
salad is something that i feel like you will need to at least try. and if you do, my recommendation is to add stuff to that. add dressing. add fruit. add shredded cheese. i promise you salad is probably the easiest thing with vegetables to get around not liking because its pretty flexible when it comes to adding stuff to it to make it better. i at least urge you to try it, but if you don't like it, no one is holding you at gunpoint to eat it. forcing yourself to eat stuff that makes you feel bad isn't always great, but if you can like it/tolerate it/whatever, definitely take it and run with it.
another thing is try to replace your soda with water, at least between meals. i am someone who hates drinking plain water with food so there's no shame in drinking a flavored drink with your food. but, i would also recommend to make that flavored drink healthier. get flavored water packets. drink juice. drink a caprisun. then through the day, just drink water. trust me, as a band kid who had to drink it to survive you WILL get used to it. its kind of an acquired "taste" in my experience. but if you absolutely can NOT get used to it, i recommend trying to mix some flavor packets with it. either that, or stick with juice.
lastly try to make at least ONE of your meals a day healthy/healthier. i'm trying to make at least lunch my healthy food time since i have to pack my lunch for school and work now so i'm trying to find quick stuff i can make that also doesn't make my executive dysfunction worse, but it can be any meal
if your going for the lunch approach like me, i recommend sandwiches. they're a lot easier to make and take up less time and you can usually make em ahead of time and just slap them in the fridge until you need it
there's two sandwiches i recommend that probably aren't the pinnacle of health but they work for me and both taste good and make me feel better;
peanut butter + honey. hear me out. i hate peanut butter on its own. its gross, it sticks to the roof of my mouth, its too strong, etc etc. BUT trust me i tried it today and i was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. mix a generous amount of honey (to your tastes) with a decent size chunk of peanut butter before hand. then, (this is optional but it made it so good) you can take some cinnamon sugar and put a bit of it in there to add some sweetness. then you spread it thinly on the bread and you can add more honey or cinnamon here to your tastes too. i've heard that if you add honey to the bread first, especially if you're not eating it straight away, it can crystalize and make it crunchy, so either do that or don't depending on ur sensitivities. i've also seen people say they put in slices of banana which a. i need to try and b. adds some fruit in there to make it even better. but for real though the honey makes the peanut butter not stick to my mouth and it cancels out some of the strongness to it. i highly recommend it cause it tastes really good even if u hate peanut butter.
fruit sando. you've probably seen these before but these are the japanese fruit sandwiches, and while they're usually made with whipped cream and the milk bread, you can substitute it. i have not made it yet but i have a very very big feeling i and other sweets lovers will really like it. you take some cream cheese (you can still use whipped cream but i think cream cheese might be a healthier alternative, plus it tastes like cheesecake) and spread a very generous amount on your bread, then you take strawberries and i believe other fruits (i like strawberries best but i think i've seen kiwis put in them too? definitely research it and see what other people have done with it) and put it on the cream cheese, then cover the rest of the fruits with cream cheese and put the other piece of bread on top. then you wrap it with cling wrap, let it refrigerate for a while and then take it out and cut it in half. then you got a really cool sandwich that is healthy and looks cute. plus i've heard its really refreshing during the summer
other things you can do is bring fruit as a side instead of chips, or maybe carrots or something. ik apple slices are a big one and you can bring caramel sauce or peanut butter to dip them in, but you can bring any fruit even if its just.... yk, that fruit. i ate a pb and honey sandwich today with just plain strawberries and a watermelon juice. it was pretty good.
and finally i wanna say; don't beat yourself up with this. eating is still good. food should be healthy yes, but its also good if food is comforting. if you don't like something, don't torture yourself or else there's a chance you'll just... avoid eating entirely, which isn't good. all the small things you can do and changes you can make are always good and can't hurt, and besides; at least you're getting something healthy in. eating healthy is good and makes you feel better, but don't forget that indulging in the things you enjoy that maybe aren't-so-healthy isn't the end of the world. eating is still good and it gives you the necessary energy to keep going and do things in life. so while adding fruit and salad and stuff to your diet is great, don't take stuff away. add to it.
if someone smarter than me wants to help correct me or like.... give some added advice feel free i just really wanted to let the other autistic/adhd people know how to be healthier without like.... dying LMAO

Things you can drink/take to help you stay hydrated that are not just water
Water is the healthiest, easiest and cheapest way to stay hydrated. But for some people it is difficult or impossible. Sometimes it's also just boring and you don't. Sometimes it's not enough to recover from being dehydrated. So here are other ideas to stay hydrated when it's hot, ordered from more water-like to less water-lik:
Make "flavoury water" (as I call it): some tea-shops sell dry fruits and flowers with no theine/caffeine that give taste to water. You can also cut some lemon in slices and put it in water (mint optional). Feel free to try with your own dry fruits or average fruits, see what comes out of that. This feels more refreshing that plain water and the taste sometimes is just what you were missing unknowingly.
The same but hot. Yes, it feels like hot weather drives hot drinks away, but sometimes they are a gift from the gods. I will mention here: soups. I particularly like this option at night.
Kompot. This is a Russian conserve for fruits that consists on boiling fruit with sugar so that it lasts for winter. You get a drink with all the flavour and, if you like, you can also eat the fuit that is left floating inside of it. I either mix the fruit with the water (taking the seed off) or throw the fruit away because I don't like it. It is my favourite summer drink.
Sodas and other classical refreshments. It is always best to drink something that to not drink anything, don't let anyone tell you that Coca-Cola is not an option. Do keep in mind that Aquarius is not necessarily a good option for electrolytes, it's more an average refreshment than real help in case of severe dehydration.
Jelly. Particularly good if you struggle to swallow for whatever the reason. Excellent option also because you can suspend fruit in it (if you like extra textures). You can make it thicker or ligther too, in case you feel like chewing water more than slurping it.
Slushies. Specially good if you like the crunch of the ice.
Milkshakes and smoothies. They are technically different and the texture can be different too, but in my head they live together. So yeah, fruit mixed together with water or milk. Probably smoothies hydrate more than milkshakes but options!
Cold soups. Gazpacho, vichysoisse... (any other soup/puré you make that want to try cold). They have a thicker consistency than any of the other, but they have a lot of water and vegetables (which also have water). Particularly good if you struggle with pure liquids or require more nutrients than just drinking water with flavour.
Ice creams? I guess you can count them too, they do have liquid, and we included milkshakes. Probably not the best option for hydration but complementary to others.
Fruit and vegetables. They tend to have a lot of water too, some more than others, but it's also a good way to have nutrients and stay hydrated. You can make salads, fruit salads, just bite it...
Overall, a combination of all of the above should keep you covered. Remember to play around with ingredients, textures and flavours too.
