I guess one thing I'll miss about LA is the way every random place is also in some random movie. Rewatching Jackie Brown, and it's like, oh yeah, the money-exchange location is that mall in Torrance with the Mitsuwa.
Our vet's office got flooded last year and it was shut down for months. We had to do an appointment in some place in Torrance that was renting them temporary space. While Carlos was getting an enema with a side of trauma, we were browsing the Mitsuwa-adjacent Japanese bookstore. I got a book about making bentos.
And because we're moving soon, we're trying out gabapentin for him and getting him used to sleeping in a hotel, since he's probably going to need to do that this summer. Where did we stay? The Hampton Inn right across the street from the site of the Cockatoo Inn (demolished in 2005, new thing still under construction). That's "the bar" that several scenes take place in.

Okay, then, who's your favourite The Elder Scrolls character? I like Martin Septim
I love him. He's my favorite too.
I've always loved the first few games' characters (which were set in a very distinct world) and their personalities and motivations. TES2's characters are really good in a very different way, and are sort of a "spinoff" from the other stuff and the "main quest." For instance, when you talk to the lady who will give you a sword later in the game, she remarks how you didn't seem to have any problems getting by in the world -- "you know, there's a lot of people out in the world, so you have to be able to get by. We can't always help everyone, though. You're pretty strong for someone who doesn't seem like he could fight at all" -- she then gives you a little tip: "I know where I can find some men who have an excess of testosterone." And she really sounds like she means it.
(The first game had more of this sort of thing too -- you get to the game in the course of wandering around a city or two, and while this city is rather different from the others, the people are still distinctively peoplelike and talk like real people do -- that is, as one lady tells you about the dangers of trying to pick pockets in the docks, and as another lady tells you that, while it is a serious problem for thieves, one way to avoid it is to ask nicely, etc. etc. This is a very human game, but then it takes it a couple steps further and starts introducing things like "the way the world responds to your decisions, like whether or not to join up with various organizations" and so forth.)
(You can also see some of this in the books -- they're all quite long and often feel like little extended conversations)

what if Wesker… was a cat?
my cat is an evil mastermind.
just imagine this au like a 90’s sitcom sorta.
there’s no bioterrorism in this au. just fun hijinks with Chris and Jill ‘coparenting’ their cat named Wesker. :]
he absolutely despises Chris, and he loves Rebecca.
mostly everyone else he tolerates or hates.
he is an oriental shorthair :))
the idea was created with the help of @sixeyedmonsters

Carlos apparently sat with Checo in the medical centre for 20 mins getting their vitals checked
“We were looking at each other and saying: ‘mate, what the f*** happened there. And we were like: I don’t know.”
“And suddenly after these 20 minutes, we were like: ‘this sport is so shit sometimes’”

(6) Most precious thing one of your pets has destroyed?: Surely this is my keyboard. My wife, when she was in high school, played piano very seriously. She considered applying for conservatories instead of regular college. And now, years later... she never plays. Also, my dad plays keyboard in a band with his friends (and has been doing music as either a career or hobby since high school). So he bought us an entry-level yamaha 88-key weighted keyboard. In practice, I've used it a lot more than my wife. And my dad was happy to hear that I was making music. And then we went on vacation one time, and my cat, who rage pees when he's upset at us rage peed on it. And this is a gift that my dad regularly asks about whether we're using it. So I ended up replacing it with the exact same model, even though it's definitely not a particularly good keyboard. And I also bought a waterproof cover for it.
(11) What's something you saved up for and then regretted buying?: I think there's a ton of these, but none are particularly serious. I'm just the sort of person who temporarily gets interested in something, does a bunch of research, makes a very well thought out purchase of something for the hobby, and then loses interest. I have a lot of games on steam I haven't played. I have a bunch of vst plugins I don't use to make music. I have various electronics bits and bobs I never actually used for microcontroller projects. No deep regrets, but plenty of vague guilt about punking out on a bunch of hobby projects.
(21) Last concert you attended?: Scary Goldings at the Teragram Ballroom. It was good, but the opening act was this weird side-project of Larry Goldings with a tap dancer, where he played the b3 and she tap danced. Didn't really work for me.

I've called them house cats before so I thought it would be cute to draw it literally but Geppetto strikes me as being extremely Dog Person aligned so I had to cobble together a specific setup first 🤦♀️
