wow this took forever oops!

tysm for the ask!! i’ve been meaning to make a carrd or something with oc intros, but i have so goddamn many ocs and so little time now that i’m in college and all that. and i have the code saved from my old pages before i remade, but those are kind of outdated and incomplete

that being said i’m probably gonna end up making that carrd regardless of how busy i am cause special interest indulgence and all that, so i’ll post about it when i do

anyway! i’m putting the actual oc answers under a readmore because i’m gonna try to do all the ocs i listed and it’ll be kinda long lol

3. What does your oc’s voice sound like? (Or, if you have one, what’s their voiceclaim?) Can they sing, whistle, or roll their rs? Do they have any speech impediments or notable dialects/accents?

how does one even describe voices... ok here goes

avani: she’s my character for a ttrpg campaign, so her voice sounds basically like mine (which might not help much cause you don’t know how i talk lol), but when i’m talking as her i pitch my voice up a bit and make it a bit more nasally. she’s not much of a singer, nor can she whistle, but she can roll her r’s pretty well. also, since she’s autistic and hard of hearing, her tone of voice often comes off the "wrong” way

farhan: he’s another ttrpg character i play lol, or at least he will be next semester, so his voice is again kind of like mine. but when i talk as him i pitch my voice down and it’s a bit hoarse. ig his voice would also be more “masculine” than mine but whatever. he can sing and whistle but has a pretty small vocal range (since he’s, like, 13 right now and will be 16 when i rp him next semester)

carter: i imagine his voice as low and on the quiet and raspy end, with a tiny bit of a lisp. he’s way too insecure to try to sing or even whistle or anything like that, though if he practiced at it he’d probably get pretty good

calira: she’s mute so n/a i guess. but she talks pretty formally in her dialect of elvish sign language, which is definitely unusual

sam: they have kind of a low voice that’s also raspy, but with quite a bit of pep and variation in their tone. they can even sing pretty well and they like to whistle constantly while working. that creates some kind of whiplash cause sam comes off as a typical edgy teen a lot of the time

jizoriel: high-pitched with lots of voice cracks, peak pretentious preteen/early teen jerkass. he can’t really sing or do anything similar, nor does he want to very much

victoria: so quiet and raspy that you can barely make out that it’s low and has a soothing and pleasant tone to it. she can sing well, or at least she could once upon a time

rowan: just! the happiest and most cheerful voice you can imagine! so much love behind how she talks! her voice fills up her whole head and the whole room!! and she whistles sometimes while she walks

ace: defies any masculine or feminine labels, smooth and cool in theory but they stutter quite a bit

charity: gruff but with a hint of cheer and clarity behind it that comes out when she’s startled. she loves to sing but can’t whistle and can’t roll her r’s either

jamal: i actually have a voiceclaim for him! it’s this (the voice that sings from 1:51 to 1:58)

kimberly: her voice is a bit high and a bit... idk how to say it exactly... i guess shrill would be the word?

fabián: his voice seems higher-pitched than it actually is cause he talks higher when he’s anxious, and he’s always anxious. it’s a bit hard to describe his voice otherwise tbh. i can hear it in my head but i can’t quite put it to paper oops. oh yeah also he has a great singing voice but never uses it sooo

7. What song reminds you of this oc? Does this match up with the type of music your oc likes to listen to?

this question opens up a wormhole cause i have playlists for many of these guys but instead i’ll just provide one (1) song for each and vaguely describe their music taste, how does that sound

avani: honestly “mr. capgras encounters a secondhand vanity” by will wood is a “her” song to me. her music taste leans a lot more toward older music though (like some classics from the 70s and 80s and such)

farhan: he’s still very new so i haven’t really found a song for him yet. but i know he absolutely loves peppy and energetic pop music and also sappy gay love songs

carter: (slaps my hand away when i try to type another will wood song) “fantasy island” by the shins always launches me into daydreams about him. which kinda roughly aligns with his music taste, he listens to a lot of those “mainstream indie” artists. he’d also listen to will wood because he’s gay and mentally ill <3

calira: one of my favorite songs on her playlist is “maximillian von spee” by dirt poor robins. but the music she listens to is basically all invigorating church-loving stuff with medieval-era instruments lmao

sam: “sometimes” by nick lutsko is an absolute bop and very much a sam song. sam actually doesn’t go out of their way to listen to music though, but when they do they listen to either the most soothing and relaxing stuff or to the angriest metal emo music. no in between

jizoriel: i’ll go the less emo angle here and say a song that reminds me of him is “upside down” by jack johnson. jizoriel’s music taste is like. old choir music and shit plus incomprehensible magical music that doesn’t even sound like music. if he was from earth he’d like my chemical romance

victoria and rowan: i’m grouping these two together here because a song that reminds me very strongly of both of them/their relationship is “human” by dodie. which actually fits very well into both of their music tastes!

ace: again, going the less edgy angle here, “auntie earth” by walter mitty and his makeshift orchestra. but ace mostly listens to uh, classical flute music and flute covers

charity: absolutely “dance and cry” by mother mother, that’s pretty much her theme song. it’s among her favorite songs in canon too

jamal: “tire swing” by los elk, since his arc is about letting go of childhood and all that jazz. he’s more inclined to listen to fun. and other pop artists and rappers and such. he likes janelle monae

kimberly: “best tears” by the happy fits for sure. in terms of her music taste though, her taste is pretty similar to jamal’s. they bond over being janelle monae fans

fabián: by god does “heal” by so much light fit him. his taste is that he rotates through three (3) specific obscure indie artists lmao, so theoretically i guess that specific song is included in there

18. How does your oc see themself? How does this compare to the way other ocs see them?

i am gonna do my best to keep these short cause this is a loaded question for all of them hoo boy

avani: how she sees herself: honestly the worst person alive. unless she spends every moment of her time trying to make up for what she’s done, she’s worthless, and she doesn’t deserve to love herself in any capacity how others see her: her brother (farhan) really looks up to her! most of the time. the superhero team she’s on (other people’s ocs) all think she’s generally smart and capable enough, and her boyfriend in particular thinks she’s incredible

farhan: how he sees himself: as of right now? a misunderstood emo middle schooler who’s still kind of cool i guess how others see him: his sister (avani) thinks he’s quite an impressive and charismatic young man

carter: how he sees himself: 1/10 awkward and annoying how others see him: carter reminds calira too much of her old self, so she love-hates him. sam thinks he’s weak and cowardly but admires his kindness. and jizoriel clings to him as a caring father figure and loves carter’s passion for natural studies

calira: how she sees herself: it goes back and forth between “i’m the greatest chosen one ever im such a strong warrior” and “wow i’m literal trash why did the gods pick me for this” how others see her: carter is a bit intimidated by her but appreciates her attempts to vibe with him, sam thinks she’s an annoying pretentious self-important bitch (but their opinion softens over time), and jizoriel sees right through her facade and feels comfortable around her because of it

sam: how they see themself: evil and in need of redemption, kind of similar to avani ig but with 10x more confidence in their skills and also much more violent how others see them: carter knows theyre doing their best even if theyre kind of an asshole, calira is a fan of their strength and determination, and jizoriel Hates Their Guts (at first) because they baby him too much

jizoriel: how he sees himself: a fucking fraud of a prince. all he has going for him is his abilities as a mage, but even then those are shaky how others see him: carter knows he’s very insecure and wants to comfort him, calira admires his magical prowess and noble air, and sam thinks he’s a snarky little pretentious douchebag but also he reminds them of their late brother and they want to protect him at all costs

victoria: how she sees herself: basically dead. only good for interacting with ghosts. not worthy of the human world or of friendship how others see her: she reminds rowan of her old self. rowan sees a glimmer of love and hope in her and wants to bring it out

rowan: how she sees herself: a fucking mess but she’s trying her best and that’s what counts! how others see her: victoria very much appreciates her cheerful air even if she doesn’t act like it

ace: how they see themself: way too weird to be human, way too weak not to be. their self-image changes constantly. theyre very confused about everything please help how others see them: charity is literally dating them lol she thinks theyre the cutest person alive, jamal appreciates how hard they try as a friend, kimberly thinks theyre an alien invader whom she can study and use to get further in life, and fabián knows more about ace than anyone else and loves them for it

charity: how she sees herself: a Teenager who’s struggling. she desperately wants to be young without the burden of her trauma but whether she thinks of herself as emo and sad and angry or not depends a lot on her mood how others see her: ace adores everything about her, jamal loves how cool and fun and sociable she can be, kimberly is annoyed with her rebelliousness, and fabián worries very much for her well-being and can’t shake the image of her as helpless (oops that’s gonna cause some drama)

jamal: how he sees himself: just a chill guy trying to get by. unremarkable. how others see him: ace is grateful for how forgiving he can be but is still terrified of him being angry over [spoilers], charity loves how sociable and fun he is and how protective he can be of his friends, kimberly secretly envies his carefree nature, and fabián sees him as a solid acquaintance to whom he did not give a good first impression

kimberly: how she sees herself: not good! if she can’t grow up fast and do science well then she’s useless how others see her: ace wants to be friends with her but doesn’t know how to do that, charity is annoyed by her rule-bound-ness, jamal thinks she’s cool but should unwind a little, and fabián resents her at first but would still like to play chess with her sometime

fabián: how he sees himself: he has a moral responsibility to help people Or Else. way too anxious and stuck up but he doesn’t know how to change that how others see him: ace fuckin Loves this guy, charity loves him too but she gets pissed when he tries to help her with anything, jamal genuinely thinks he’s a great guy and wants to get to know him better, and kimberly is actually impressed by him and envies his apparent confidence and charisma

falls in love 12 times a day. never had a girlfriend or boyfriend. gets sweaty when someone cute looks at him. flirting?? what?? would prefer to idealise them from a distance

gender??? hm. rory don’t really know where they fit yet, sometimes he feels like a guy and sometimes they dont feel like anything at all!! slippin out of his physical form into the spirit realm! isn’t really bothered, cos they think it’s a social construct anyway. uses he/they pronouns interchangeably, but currently feels like ‘he’ is more fitting. won’t necessarily pull anyone up on it cos he knows having an identity that’s constantly…. in flux.. can be annoying for others … and doesn’t want to be a burden even tho it isn’t at all?? rory internalises guilt

everything is socially constructed. mirrors let you move through time. the whole thing’s a metaphor. he thinks he’s got free will but really he’s trapped in a maze. in a system. all he can do is consume. people think it’s a happy game. it’s not a happy game — it’s a fucking nightmare world, and the worst thing is, it’s real and we live in it!!!!

has ocd. tries to let it affect his life as little as possible, but obviously it’s incredibly hard to control a compulsive disorder. was teased for it at school when other kids started to notice. he was obsessed with the number five, would wash his hands five times, count stairs i groups of five, he could only use the corridors in one direction and always had to keep his hands busy. it manifests itself in hyper-fixations (trains when he was a child – specifically steam engines – then later he became obsessed with space and the patterns of constellations, and now he’s obsessed with synthesizers) and repetitive behaviours like counting stairs. doesn’t really affect his social life at all, he can jst get a bit locked-on n hyper-focused sometimes.

has insomnia. barely ever sleeps. finds it hard to switch off from work / writing / gaming / whatever’s preoccupying him in that moment. he’s always awake at 5am and quite often sleeps in through classes but still gets really good grades because he’s very good at his course. rarely attends classes. prefers to work independently. doesn’t really trust his tutors are intelligent enough to be teaching him, and is particularly suspicious of the lockwood tutors. a music snob tbh

occasionally deals weed n pills when strapped for cash, but only 2 ppl he knows, and on a very small scale grass-roots level!! (so its ok???) rollerskates around campus dealing cos they dnt have a car. we love to see it

He's coming over about once a month now to keep them clipped; he's quite sure she has... damn, what was it? uuuuuuuuuuhhhhh there was this one dude that legit tried to monopolize one of my old muses on another blog, got upset when i set a main ship for said muse, complained to me nonstop, was trying to use me to get back into rping with my friend group ( which he called “the popular group” for a reason I don’t understand to this day ), only wanted to ship, got pissy over a fucking pokemon au ( if you ever wanna hear about this, lemme know ), tried to insert a ship into every au we made automatically, tried to tell me how to write smut for no reason ( said he would read it and give me tips and everything ffs ), was an asshole to my sister ( who rped way back when but doesn’t anymore ), made several friends of mine uncomfortable to the point of leaving the rp scene for a bit, blamed other people for issues that he honestly had a part in causing, and a bunch of other things that i’m forgetting right now.

so, this guy right here…riley ignatius parker-warrington…will throw hands if you call him anything other than parker. it’s what everyone calls him. you gotta be really special to call him riley and not immediately get decked for it. tbh most people probably think parker is his first name anyway so! moving on

parker was born to a wealthy family in a small but affluent village called alderley edge in cheshire, england. he’s the youngest of four sons so he has three older brothers.

his family, the parker-warringtons ( known more commonly as the warringtons ) are stupid rich. it hurts me to think about it askdh. they’re basically the british rockefellers. parker’s great x6 granddad started the family business back a couple centuries ago and nowadays they’ve got their hands in everything from business to architecture to real estate to education to oil...they own a lot of stuff. the warrington building in downtown london was completely made up just now is basically the rockefeller center of the uk.

the family drama has been highly publicized in the uk & europe for longer than anyone can remember at this point, but not as much in america.

anyway, parker spent his early years sheltered and pampered and homeschooled by tutors and nannies bc his parents never had time for him but it’s whatever he got over it really early on in life.

parker’s always been a huge troublemaker with a restless nature so his wealthy, uptight, lowkey shady af parents who are obsessed with the family’s image could never really deal with him and eventually decided to just ship him off to boarding schools all over europe, just one after the other after the other bc he kept getting kicked out lmao.

about the only thing he enjoyed about his childhood and schooling were his music lessons. he was taught to play piano, violin, and even the harp. other things like math and history and science didn’t come easily to him at all, but music? he was great at it and he’s always loved it. during his teen years while away at boarding school was when he first procured an electric guitar and learned to play. along with that, he also discovered punk music, aka the greatest thing in the entire fucking universe if you ask him. far as music goes, he’d found his calling in his early teenage years.

at school he was basically that rebellious kid in all the movies who wore doc martens with his prim & proper school uniform and carried around a pocket knife and cut class to go smoke while vandalizing school property and would absolutely fuck up some prissy pretty boy’s face just for looking at him the wrong way.

literally the only reason he actually graduated rather than flunking out was because his father was able to pull some strings aka bought his very last boarding school a whole new library wing. parker did actually consider running away a few times, but there was a part of him really reaaaaally deep down that actually enjoyed some aspects of school ( though he very strongly believes many education systems across the world need a serious overhaul and blahblahblah don’t ask him unless you want a lecture ). anyway, the moment he was done with school, he did finally skip out on…well, everything and everyone and ditched the country altogether, heading out first to seattle washington, then to los angeles, california, and then he finally settled in new york city when he was twenty years old, meaning that he’s lived in nyc for the last three years!

started his band, rabid porcupine, right after moving to the city. they’re a punk band, popular among the subculture and virtually unknown to everyone else. parker is the lead vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, overall face of the band but don’t get it twisted he could never go solo his whole band is important to him.

his parents have threatened to cut him off & disinherit him about a billion times but will probably never actually do it even though they see him as a huge disgrace to the family name. they call sometimes but he never picks up. if anybody asks he’d probably say that he hates his family but he honestly doesn’t. i don’t think he’s capable of hate lmao. he doesn’t like them and he’d rather stay away from them bc he and his family just do not get along, but at the end of the end of the day, v deep down he has like….a teeny tiny molecule of affection for them even though his family is 100% genuinely awful people

his three older brothers are named sebastian, nikolai, & rian. he doesn’t get along with any of them but he and rian he by far has the worst relationship with rian, his identical twin who’s a few minutes older. unlike most stereotypical twins they’ve literally never been in sync, have never gotten along and have probably beaten each other up before.

his family is big on modern day arranged marriages but you can miss parker with that bullshit he will date whoever he wants

I’ve talked to couple people who had trouble seeing the bio since tumblr mobile is a bit behind on the concept of pages, so I figured it’s about time I made this! If there are any issues, let me know! <3

Character biography:

NAME: Kallion AGE: 19-22 SPECIES: Saiyan

(Cont. under the cut)

Kallion is a Saiyan time patroller who was brought to Conton city, from a not-too-distant past, when noticed by the Supreme Kai of Time.

The beginning of her life was of little note among Saiyan’s. She was born a low-level to two low class parents she barely remembers and can’t name. As a baby with a low power level, her destiny was to be sent to a far off planet, conquer it, come back home, rinse, wash, repeat. By five years old she had a crew and a steady schedule of missions. Too bad she found herself struggling constantly against her own nature; even as a great ape, she found herself sparing more people than her crew members killed. And they would make their displeasure with her known, eventually.

With that aside, life still pressed on. Training, missions, armor that seemed too big, slowly gaining the strength to live up to the pride of her mighty race…

And then in an instant, everything changed.

The Saiyan’s were decimated. But her typical existence had one thing on its side; luck. She survived the near-extinction of her race and planet’s destruction by sheer, dumb luck. Shortly before the explosion of planet Vegeta, she had been marooned and stranded on another planet by her own crew due to her constant failures and inability to complete tasks on their planet-conquering missions. Of course, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Alone on that planet, all she saw was a bright explosion in the sky and an unmistakable void of energy. Kallion remained scavenging on that planet for several years before being brought to Conton city as a recruit.

All in all, she’s fared much better. At the very least, she can laugh and have a sense of humor about her mistakes as opposed to being unceremoniously dumped on a backwater planet by herself.

Kallion came into the time patrol in her very early teens, and since then has been able to develop into her own person and learn about life outside of the constant struggle for survival. While Planet Vegeta was her home warts and all, she will be the first to admit that life in Conton City has made her happier than she ever thought she deserved.

She holds a strong admiration for Chronoa and the time patrol, as well as gratitude for giving what she sees at a second chance at a meaningful life.

Appearance:

Short, but muscular! Typical Saiyan black hair, which wafts out at the ends, and grey-blue eyes. A small scar on her left cheek is left as a reminder from some battle far away. Her tail is still very much there- call it sentiment, but she’s not quite ready to let go of that part of her heritage. After all, it’s not a problem as long as she remembers not to look up at the full moon. Right?

Personality:

Kallion’s got a bit of a chip on her shoulder. The insecurity she holds from her younger days manifests in a bad tendency to either overcompensate her strengths, or doubt herself to the point of freezing at the worst of times. Implying she’s weak is a good way to earn her ire. While lacking the extreme aggression and ruthlessness, she hasn’t lost her Saiyan pride after all! It’s unclear who exactly she’s trying to prove herself to- Chronoa, Elder Kai, Trunks, and the first Patroller have plenty of confidence in her abilities. Not to mention her old crew mates are long dead. The simple answer would be, “the nagging voice in the back of her head.” Putting all that aside, she’s genuinely good-hearted for a born-and-bred Saiyan of planet Vegeta.

She’s passionate about her work, playful, honest almost to a fault, and will give the shirt off her back for a friend…due to an incurable case of “inability to say no.” For better or worse, she often gives people the benefit of the doubt. Kallion isn’t gullible or naive, but past experiences have made her eager to please.

That being said; Due to her background as essentially a feral child, she’s behind in a lot of areas of knowledge. Kallion’s a slow reader, often misses innuendos and metaphor, and can be literal minded. This, of course, leads to her coming off as a bit…dumb sometimes.

Gentle nature and soft heart aside, Kallion’s Saiyan instincts and heritage aren’t buried completely under the surface. First, there’s the insatiable appetite. Second, that love of battle and need for more strength can’t be taken away so easily. She may get too into fights at times, but it has yet to cause any kind of serious damage. She takes pride in the fact that she has yet to cause as much damage as, say, the oh-so famous Goku and Vegeta. Property damage absolutely doesn’t count. Third, a short temper she keeps in check with a deep breath, balled fists, and an uncomfortably wide smile. Snarky remarks are optional.

On rare occasions, the past catches up to her. A brilliant explosion, something as simple as fireworks, that remind her a little too much of that night long ago. A fleeting pang of guilt hitting her heart, resulting in her wondering why a low class, pathetically soft excuse for a warrior like herself was spared the fate of her family and 99% of her race…but those thoughts be damned!

If Kallion’s going to make the best of a second chance, dwelling on something like that isn’t going to help. She’ll sooner slap the self pity out of herself than let it take hold!

Other:

Mentor: Bardock. Primarily with @drxgon-soul, but I’m also willing to interact with other Bardock’s if they’re willing! I’m an incredibly shy person, so it may take me a while to approach you first. Kallion also trains with Shallot (shallxt), Taeta (ancientoozaru) and Scaro (divinesaiyan)

Voice: Her VA claim is Bryn Apprill, more along the lines of her Historia Reiss than the voice she used in Xenoverse.

Family: As mentioned above, Kallion has little to no memories of her parents. It’s all a matter of circumstance– her parents were often on missions, and when they weren’t, than Kallion was the one away. So her impression of them is two typical lowclass Saiyan’s who probably didn’t care due to how soft she was. And she’s okay with knowing that much, despite there being a bit of a hole in her heart because of it. HOWEVER, I can say that her father is Toma/Tora. More on that here!

Ships: Kal’s in a ship with the Saiyan in Red/Giblet (the-hooded-saiyan). I’m still a liiiiittle undecided on whether or not I want this blog to be multiship, but for now I’ll say it’s “More Discussion Needed.“

Misc:

I’ve gone as far as having her attain SSGSS in XV2, but for the purposes of this blog and story, she is currently training her ass off to reach Super Saiyan. All she needs is that little push.

She loves kids! Again, while it prooooobably won’t come up for blog/story purposes, I actually imagine her having three in the future. I’m a sucker for time travel shenanigans, so my avatar for XV1 who cameos as Trunks’ partner in XV2 is modeled to be her son. In my defense, I watch a surprising amount of media with stable time loop narratives.

Pick one of your characters and talk about their growth (we recommend choosing an older character, but it’s up to you!) What about their story has surprised you? What are you proud of? How have they changed from their original inception to now?

Tink Bell: These three years have been one hell of a roller coaster for Tink. It seems like just yesterday I was writing my town alcoholic hell-bent on having a good time even though inside she was a mess. When we first saw Tink, she was your typical punk-rock rebel without a cause. Her idea of a good time was a good lay, a bottle of tequila, and whatever drugs she could find. She was an absolute mess. And as the years progressed we saw Tink sort of lose herself. She got lost in the bottle and the drugs and the dark spiral that was her mind. She lost some good friends (Simba) in the process and made some unexpected ones (Copper, I’m talkin’ about you). But like a phoenix she rose from the ashes and repaired herself and those friendships she lost. She got an amazing girlfriend who literally went through hell and back with her (pun intended). And now as the year closes, so does this chapter of Tink’s life. Her life of adventure with Sophie is starting and it’s the ending I always wanted for Tink. Cue girl walking into the sunset with a bag slung over her shoulder ready to take on the world.

Adam Best: My babe I’ve had the second longest, not counting the time I dropped him for personal reasons. He’s also a character that has been through a lot. We’ve seen Adam be the surly young man who only wants to punish himself for all the death and destruction he’d caused. He was grappling with the loss of his parents and the loss of his first serious girlfriend. That’s a lot for a dude. He made mistakes, hurt people he grew to care about. Then he got himself a best friend and then a boyfriend and things were looking up for our dear Adam. Then Jaby had an existential life crisis and all that went to shit. Adam found a journal that said you could get rid of the curse by killing the wolf that killed you and guess what? Adam went to Greece and got his ass kicked. But it was a brand new starting point for me and my boy. It allowed me to delve into Adam’s need for a normal human life and try to figure out a way to reconcile it with the fact he will never have that. I expected Adam to remain very surly when I picked him back up and to an extent he has. But he’s also moved away from that. He’s no longer filled with the same angst. Instead it’s changed and evolved into something so much more. He’s no longer mourning his parents and Jennifer but instead mourning the life he’ll never get to have. It’s something I never expected from him and I’m honestly very excited to see where it takes us.

Pick another character and talk a little about where you WANT them to go. What are your plans for them going into the new year?

DeSoto Sykes: Ugh man, I have so much planned for DeSoto. Lauren and I have actually talked out a lot with these brothers and where we want them to end up. I know he’s going to stay a big presence in Swynlake. I’d love for him to become one of the big kingpins in town. It would be hilarious because that’s what his father was back in New York and it’s what he’s been running from for nearly three years. I want him to grow and realize that having people you care about isn’t necessarily a weakness. Des has a long long way to go and his story is far from over.

Rita Saluki-Sykes: It’s no secret that Rita has become my loudest muse, slowly taking the place of Tink if I’m honest. I’ve only had her for a year or so but she’s already been put through the ringer. Her marriage went from one of necessity to one that was almost over to finally something that resembles what she’s always wanted. Even more so now that she’s got her own little kiddo on the way. I’d like to see Rita settle into that mother role. From what we’ve seen she enjoys the night life, partying and eating up all the attention she can get. But with her little one all that is going to change and she’s going to have to become that mother figure. And she’s going to have to balance care and attention for Ollie with the new baby. It’ll be interesting to see how she juggles being a businesswoman, wife, and mother.

Pick a thread or a plot that you’re proud of and talk about why you loved it.

UHM HELLO INTO THE FOREST. Two years ago I did one of these and said how I wanted Soleil to tap into her powers and channel her rage and this is the result of that. This plot was hands down my favorite plot I’ve ever done. It gave me a chance to break Soleil down to her darkest depths, fueled by the loss of Zero and then the fact KNIGHTS or whatever were hurting things in her forest. It was a slow burn plot and one that took a lot of work from everyone involved and it culminated into the best thing I’ve ever witnessed.

In terms of your own writing, identify 1-3 strengths and talk about why you think it’s one of your strengths.

Voice. I still think voice is something that I have a good grasp on when it comes to my characters. From Rita’s and DeSoto’s New York accents to Duchess’ French lilt and prim and proper upbringing, I think it’s something that shows distinctly in my writing.

Villains. I love my villains, I love devling into their minds and figuring out what makes them tick. And I’m tooting my own horn when I say that I’m pretty damn good at it. From Taka to Oogie (however brief he may have been), I’ve brought some pretty interesting villains to BDRP and I hope to continue to do so. I’ve got a few character ideas at the ready that I am more than eager to bring to life.

In terms of your own writing, identify 1-3 areas of improvement.

Plotting! I am the absolute worst when it comes to coming up and approaching people with plots. And I think a big part of that is because I really love for things to develop organically. I’m not one to nudge my characters into something I’m not sure of. I need to break out of that so that I can actually accomplish some of the things I want to for my characters.

Direction. It’s easy for me to lose direction when writing. A reply will start off as one thing and then before I know it it’s shifted to something else entirely. It makes writing an arduous process and often irritating.

Pick one of your plots, or even just a character, and come up with a list of 3-5 “mentor texts” where you can look for inspiration or research, then write a short (2-4 sentences) why you picked those texts. (For example, if I picked Apollo, reading “Akata Witch,” “Children of Blood and Bone,” “Trials of Apollo” series, and Homer’s Iliad might provide inspiration for different reasons– the former two for Nigerian culture and magic and the latter two for a deeper look at Greek Mythology. No, you don’t have to have read these books– maybe you just want to read them!)

Okay so picking Soleil’s forest takedown these are the things I’d look into:

Batman comics featuring Poison Ivy - Mainly because Poison Ivy is one of the few female baddies that have the same sort of magic that Soleil has. And she’s gone down Soleil’s path of wanting to take over the world with plants. It’d be a way to get inside of angry Soleil’s mind.

BtVS s6ep22 “Grave” - This is actually the episode of Buffy that sparked this desire to have Soleil go down that path of evil. It was a possible ending for Soleil in which she didn’t turn into a tree and feed her magic to Enchantra as a way to make amends. This episode showed the power of true love (even if that love is platonic) and how it can stop evil. And it was something that I had wanted to experiment with in Soleil.

The Master Book of Herbalism - Okay this book would give insight to what Soleil did. How, even before she was the spring sprite, she had a vast knowledge of plants and how to use them.

And now, a wishlist! Jot down a few themes or stories or genres etc that you want to maybe pursue in the upcoming year! (i.e. a good ol’ fashion forbidden romance, maybe you want to dig deep into racial identity etc) This doesn’t have to necessarily be attached to any characters or stories you have now– it’s just meant to help you see for yourself what kind of stories call to your heart.

I RP because it’s still my escape. I enjoy it more than I enjoy most things. It gives me an outlet to channel whatever it is I’m feeling and don’t we all need that. Not to mention Mk and Lauryl own my soul at this point and there is no hopes of me ever actually leaving this place.

post ! arrest leaves a sad, vulnerable, sleep deprived archie. he’s SCARED, in all honesty,,, scared of what’s to come next, scared to keep people around ‘cause he knows he’ll drag them down with him. he knows the arrest was only the beginning & he has no fuckin clue on how to make it stop. it’s safe to say he’s feeling waves of PARANOIA & ANXIETY, but he’ll supress it literally as much as he can. he’s getting back into writing music, tho, so hopefully that helps ?

like i said, archie is HELLA sleep deprived these days. he’s kept up late w pressing thoughts / stress / anxiety / paranoia, & will literally just sit in bed until he either decides to run it out, or talk to betty ab it ( if her light’s on, ofc ! ) in this verse, it’s not odd to find the boy w deep bags under his eyes / literally just drifting off in school. sad.

he broke up with ronnie via the notion that he needs to step back as far away as possible from the lodges. he still loves / cares about her so much & wants to support her / be friends, but it’s a scary time for him. he needs to disaffiliate w lodge industries, & get back to his roots ! he’ll focus on being her friend, & honestly, that’s what they both need right now.

speaking of roots, archie has been spending A LOT of time w betty ! they’re next door neighbors / best friends, so naturally, he’s going to her with a lot of his fears. when he can’t sleep at night ??? he calls her. when he's tryin not to be alone ??? he calls her. various other issues ?? u guessed it. all her. she’s become his literal girl friday, & it’s inevitably making him think about her a ton ?? while he’s at it, he’s been pondering their kiss, & is allowing himself to recognize the immense feelings he’s had for her. even tho he KNOWS he’ll never be good enough for her, he’s finally willing to let himself try to be. he doesn’t want to hurt her again, though, so he’ll walk on egg shells until she’s ready !

miscellaneous fun facts / late night musings

obviously he’s primarily riverdale based, but as an avid reader of the comics, i’m inclined to throw some of his personality from those in as well ! this means arch is ? i guess more so in touch w his emotions ? like,,, he is in the show, but in the comics it’s just. deeper. i dunno. he’s an emotional lil boy. fav comic moment is when he tried to call himself an albatross but accidentally said albacore. tragic. :(

there’s no single, widely accepted star sign for him, so i’ve decided to make my archie a pisces ! seeing as i myself am one & a lot of the charas i draw inspo from are ( ie. ron weasley ), i only feel like it’s fitting. defense: arch is extremely sensitive / emotional. he has a huge heart, he’s the ~creative~ type, he’s idealistic, loyal, patient, genuine & hella romantic. & finally ?? the 1985 birthday issue for archie states that his birthday’s is in march ! as for moon & rising ?? definitely leo & saggitarius.

in his earlier high school days i think he focuses his relationships a lot on lust rather than love ( grundy, val & even ronnie to an extent ). he’s v quick to say i love you & a lot of his relationships are v sexually based. i think as he grows up tho he’s kinda realizing the importance of like ? love > lust. this does not in the slightest invalidate his relationships ( besides grundy bc that shit is fucked up. he was so manipulated & it was mentally awful for him. gross. ), i think it’s just the fine line of Who He Was vs Who He’s Becoming. maturity at it’s finest, my dudes.

archie andrews is an INCREDIBLY physical guy !! meaning he’s gonna hold your hand, put an arm around you, hug you, etc ... it’s just a show of him caring !

while post arrest has him scared & trying to back off everything ... it’s only a matter of time before arch starts plotting to take down hiram with the rest of the gang. he just ... needs some time. betty needs time. veronica needs time. & jug ? he’s kinda got his hands full w the serpents, so ... we’ll table that, for now ! ( aka: i’ll explore this more when we finally get a hiram !! )

Have you ever had a pregnancy scare? >> I would definitely be upset if I was pregnant, because first of all, how did I even get that way... and second of all, I have zero desire to ever carry a child and I also have zero desire to have multiple abortions done, so... yeah. I have had a pregnancy scare, and it was founded, so.

Have you ever let someone be your everything? >> I don’t know, really. I don’t think I’ve ever thought of anyone by that exact terminology. It’s just not my attachment style, but it doesn’t mean I don’t still love people in my own way.

Do you have any weird inside jokes? >> All my best weird inside jokes are with Hallie, lmao. We’re just good at it. ;p

Part 2

Its a common story for two bestfriends who are miles away from one another to drift apart. Two individuals who are separated by distance and time. What i’m trying to say is that, I don’t want this scenario to happen to us. We could make this work right? We made it for 8 years and hopefully more years to come :)

From time to time, I still do think of the possible scenarios or how could all this things that are happening right now would turn out if only I stayed in Butuan. If only I stayed and went to Urios, I would have the chance to see you during your pageant in Mutya hong Butuan, I would be there for you whenever you want to talk , I would be there during your heartbreaks, we could have watched a lot of movies together, we could be study buddies, and it would be much easier to be there for you whenever you need me. I am fully aware that a greatest gift I could give as a friend is my presence and I really do feel sorry I can’t even offer this. It hurts me knowing that you are going through difficult times and I am not there to comfort you. But what I can only offer for now is my unending support and a promise that I will always be here, just know that whatever you may be facing, whatever challenges that may be, you are not alone.

Do you still remember that time during 2nd year high school when we ignored each other for a veeeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyy long time? I can’t really remember what the main reason (and now i’m really curious what was that all about HAHA) I wonder if we actually fought and ignored one another (but I highly doubt that we had a fight considering our personalities, this possibility is less likely what happened) or we just decided one day to ignore each other. On my side, this is the only thing i’m sure that happened on that time. The thing was, I felt so guilty at that time, it swallowed me up, I couldn’t really face you because I am guilty of something, I remember I even cried one afternoon and started deleting some of my rp accounts, that was actually my first attempt on quitting rpw. So, I may have done some despicable thing. So, in my memory, Michael and I, ( I don’t remember if we made a bet or what) we were two ignorant fools who wants to brag on who will have the most r/s in rpw. And at that time you have this myungsoo rp whom you are in a r/s with. And the thing I felt so guilty about was that I felt like I was some snake and stole him from you ( I swore on that day we made up that I would really do my very best for us not to fight over a guy, that I would never lose you again, this is my selfish persona talking again lol, or simply I don’t ever want to have any major fight with you or just any petty fights, you are that precious to me :) ) . I can’t really remember if you two were just recently on a break back then but now, i want to believe you were but nevertheless the actions I took is still despicable. That was also the time when I lied to Lolo, ( I was literally using 3 browsers and consistently changing how I typed just so he won’t discover that it is me, I can’t forget this days because this was the only time when I used windows explorer HAHA) I used another account just to be in a r/s with him, I told you about this right?, I’d like to believe that I liked him too much back then that’s why I did that but there is also this possibility that I was too full of myself at that time, I was caught up in the moment, that I made all those despicable stuff to my bestfriends. So eventually, All this lies and guilt building up is the reason why I ignored both of you, i’m a toxic friend and I don’t deserve to call both of you ( the most wonderful individuals I know) as my bestfriend. Maybe this is the reason why my so called “bestfriends” before left mem It is because I am conceited, self-centered and a manipulative person.

That’s why when the both of you started dating, I couldn’t really get mad (get mad at both of you because you didn’t think of the consequences; we all know what will happen if you two break up, it would be awkward between the three of us and it also meant we won’t hang out together) and feel jealous because I have done something wrong to the both of you. And after gaining you two back in my life after those dark days, I became selfish and I don’t want to lose you both so I really did my best to support the both of you, tried my best not to be biased whenever you two fight (but we all know whose side i’m on most of the time *wink wink*). After all the drama of losing and having you back again made me realize that I am self-centered and at that time we were ignoring one another I hated myself for this reasons but both of you helped me and taught me how to genuinely care for other people. I became a good listener ( I like to believe that I made a friend in Iligan because of this talent, her name is Kimberly and I call her kimpoy and this is another side story that you need to unlock HAHA), I believe I became a better and improved individual because of you guys. I learned to trust myself again and other people. Made me believe that I am a good person, that I am not a wicked person as what I thought. And this is the reason why I don’t want to ever lose the both of you. You were the only hoomans who accepted me again after everything I did ( I was at my worst state ever, that was the worst version of me), you’ve seen me at my worst and you accepted me for who I am with all my flaws. If I ever screw our friendship up once more I really don’t know what to do, I can’t even imagine a life without you. (actually, i’m so confident in myself that i’m gonna have you guys for life I couldn’t even think of any “what ifs” what ifs such as you’ll forget and leave me) (Am I being conceited/self-centered again?)

So please please please Let’s be friends forever? I really don’t know what to do and I don’t want to experience again the pain and uncomfortableness I felt when we acted like strangers. So, please do update me with any random stuff happening in your life, what’s new, what are you up to, if there are any changes on your future plan, your problems and whenever you just have this thing that isn’t really a big deal but you just want to say to someone.

Always remember that you are very important to me, you are one of my precious hoomans that I don’t want to get hurt and whom i’m rooting for an everlasting happiness.

I’m telling you this to reassure you that whatever you may say or do, I will always be here and I accept you for who you are. I will always be here whatever decision you may take in the future, and I will always be at your back supporting you. You can confidently say anything to me :). I’m just one chat away for now, hopefully in the future this will change to “I’m just one call away”.

PS. It made me sad and upset when you only told me you are preggy 7 months after.

Have you ever talked to someone online, but when you saw each other in person, it was just super awkward? Have you ever made a really good friend online? Once or twice.... But, most of my friends are people I knew first online, and frankly they’re better friends than almost any of the ones I had before. Do you enter sweepstakes or scratch lottery tickets or anything like that? What’s the best thing you’ve ever won? Nah.

Right now, would you be upset if you got pregnant, or would you not mind? Have you ever had a pregnancy scare? I’d be incredibly upset. Then I’d promptly find out where the closest abortionist was and get rid of the reason for being upset. I have had exactly one scare, and that is a crazy story I do not share lightly.

Have you ever let someone be your everything? Many, many years ago, I was that stupid. Thank heaven I believe in learning from my mistakes.

Do you have any weird inside jokes? Some. Mostly between me and my sister.

Could you go the rest of your life without a cigarette? Easily. I’m allergic to cigarette smoke.

probably the fact i can look like a geek one second then a goth the next lol how do you feel about your weight? i loathe it, but i feel better about it ever since finding out my weight gain wasn't my fault; it was a mood stabilizer i was on for a year or more called abilify. it's unbelievable how much that shit fucked me over, and it did absolutely nothing in terms of my mental health. my current psychiatrist pointed out how it absolutely destroys your metabolism, and he was honestly stunned when i told him no one else that i'd been seeing pointed that shit out, especially my primary doctor, who had some training in psychiatric meds; and the disgusting thing is, she occasionally acted angry towards me about it and really did make it seem like i didn't care about my health and wasn't trying. ugh. i am still remarkably bitter that i'd been put on a medicine that has a side effect of weight gain anyway considering i've explicitly told every psychiatrist i've ever seen DO FUCKING NOT put me on something that causes weight gain, because i've been through it before and worked my ass off to lose all the weight i'd gained from paxil years before. but thankfully, since being taken off abilify and loads other medications, i've been losing weight rapidly since my body can no longer sustain what i'd gained. it helps that my appetite has returned to normal; well, maybe even less than normal, but i'm not complaining. like it's brazenly obvious it was medication considering it's not like i started exercising or something, and i haven't gone on some diet. i legitimately pray that i can return to what i used to weigh. do you like to comment on other people's surveys?
