Something about it, how Eddie just holds himself there, nose brushing against Steve’s and breathing against his lips, makes Steve go absolutely still. The well of tenderness in his chest is downright embarrassing, and he worries that if he moves at all, it’ll spill everywhere and ruin this surprisingly tender moment.
