first: The Heart Acoustic by Chonny Jash. This one gives off major canon Empathy vibes to us BUT for our system it's a Volition song. Either in a scenario where he's like. Unsure about his role as a Skill or as very Low levelled Volition wdk. Both r fitting to us though if that makes sense!

second: The Mind Electric, also by Chonny Jash! VERY MUCH a Logic song!! We really like these three songs and how they connect together the whole album is great in that tho it's abt these three guys just fucking FIGHTING EACH OTHER FBDBSJDJFJ but these three songs rlly show that. We see this as a song where Logic and Volition do NOT get along at all [also fun fact our Logic sounds like the dude in this song specifically. lov that 4 him <3]

third: The Soul Eclectic... Also by Chonny Jash! G-Dragon - Coup d'Etat

I mean … Good, not great. Curious what the average rating is so let’s see: 7.5. Yeah that feels about right.

I definitely went into this album with expectations. I don’t know much BigBang, but I know enough about their history and G-Dragon’s role in the industry to expect something incredible out of this album. Instead I got … something good. I liked the variety of sounds, but I didn’t necessarily like all of the sounds. I also am not sure if I like his voice very much. I do think that the dubstep and rock elements were used really well, but I kind of expected more interesting lyricism out of him.

Like, if I had to choose between this album and D-Day, I’d choose D-day every time. It’s not totally a fair comparison, but I’d say it’s a reasonable one.

- I’ve actually had this on my list for quite a while now. I’ve finally got a bit of free time, and the motivation to do it, so let’s check it out.

The absolute precision with which Taylor lays down the breadcrumbs for her fans with Question w/ the OOTW sample and the question heavy lyrics of OOTW and IION - even tho none of Question lyrics make sense for Harry at all or the type of relationship she is describing in 1989tv - is just one more reason I’ll always believe haylor was first and foremost (and maybe only) excellent marketing and storytelling.

I don’t see how calling this teeny bopper bubblegum couple PR is a conspiracy - they had a well-documented public meet cute, shit to promote, pap walks galore, and a built in end date for their r/s with them both going on world tours. Did they canoodle in the moment? Sure, maybe, but this was never the dramatic situationship she writes about. Frankly if they were fucking in award show toilets (really the only time in 2013 they could have seen each other post BU), we would have had rumors and we don’t bc it didn’t happen. To me it’s more of a conspiracy to think two of the most famous people in the world are having secret trysts with the insane public appearance/recording/touring schedule they both had (again if one of them was not working much or we had the toilet fucking reports, it would be believable). Some horrible obvious lyrics from his leaks did not change my mind nor do these vault tracks.

Lmao I do hear you queen. I *will* say they were spotted in lowkey places pre dating publicly (I think she was still with Bebe Kennedy during the first time fans spotted them out; it was with other friends) so personally I’m team they absolutely were canoodling, as you put it. I do agree that they marketed the absolute fucking shit out of it but I also think that backfired on her quite badly which tbh she addresses in the vault a bit and she regrets that aspect of it a lot. I also dk but I just fail to get the same sense of drama y’all get from these songs. Maybe because they’re just so deeply pop and vanilla that I don’t get a profound “wow this fucked her up” from any of it lol ever in the way I do from Jake songs or even Joe Jonas songs. I feel like losing what you feel at the time is the love of your life - when you’re as emotional as Taylor especially - doesn’t inspire you to “pop perfection” with Max Martin and his formulae but ya. To an extent, yes!!! Using a cut because I have A Lot to say, apparently. 

Look, I’m not saying that she walked around claiming they would be endgame or anything lol. And honestly, I saw the writing on the wall reading the trilogy. It was clear to me during book three before I even read the ending that Darklina would not be endgame. I think most Darklinas understand this. I don’t feel “baited.” For most people, the issue is that as a person, like outside of the texts themselves, her public persona and response to Darklina shifted dramatically after R&R was published. The reaction to it from the fandom was... not good. I’m guessing reviews plus actual hate she got in her inbox here on tumblr soured her on that part of the fandom a bit. It’s understandable. Though a part of me also thinks she was so pro-Darkling in interactions with readers during the writing progress to keep Darkling stans reading...

But it’s a fact that she used to be active on that blog, and while the books were still being written and published, she frequently reblogged and complimented Darklina fanon content. She followed the user who at that time (it’s a different person now) had the @/alarkling (other ship name for Darklina) url and reblogged their edits all the time. Extremely shippy graphics that used book quotes and/or song lyrics and stuff. She also reblogged fanmixes of Darklina tracks, Darklina fanart, etc. Also, before R&R was published, she released sneak peeks including the “let me” scene and the moment when Aleksander says, “I will strip away all that you know, all that you love, until you have no shelter but mine.” That’s honestly one of his darkest moments imo and people were (and still are) making shippy romantic edits with it, and she was reblogging them lol. She even posted specifically saying how much she loved that people were using that particular quote. Now she didn’t usually tag these reblogs and stuff so you’d just have to go way back into the past of her blog to see this stuff, but it’s there. 

There’s also this tweet where she says “all ships are welcome in this harbor” in answer to someone saying they ship Darklina, and this tagline

that was the original tagline for Shadow and Bone!!! (Which I’m assuming she was aware of and approved). 

So I guess most of this only matters because of how different she is now, how she shares fanon content on insta frequently but almost never Darkling or Darklina content. How she’s said some pretty harshly anti stuff in interviews at times. I guess it’s worth knowing she only changed her tune later. But tbh, whether or not she publicly endorses the ship doesn’t really matter?

Because the thing is, Darklina was canon. There doesn’t really need to be a lot of discourse validating the ship or not. It wasn’t endgame, but the Darkling was Alina’s love interest and a pretty big and crucial one who she continued to have canon romance scenes with all the way into book three. It’s wild to me seeing the fandom try to fake news their way out of this sometimes now. I saw a popular screenshot floating around (it was popular because it had show spoilers) where an anti was chatting with a screener trying to get info about the show, and in it the anti was like “Yeah Darklina wasn’t a thing in the books. Alina just hated him.” And tbh... no? Lmao like no that’s just straight up not how it was at all. Just... objectively untrue. Darklina was a romantic, canon--just not endgame--ship. We don’t have to mine the text for clues, we don’t have to write giant meta (though I enjoy doing so lmao), and we don’t need to take our cues from Leigh’s social media presence because the ship is a thing. It’s there. But I get why some people are interested in her take on the ship because it would be validating and pleasant if she could acknowledge Darklinas sometimes. But I think those days are over haha.

tldr; sung gets told he’s getting a solo debut. demi rewrites history part 2

he was being too quiet, wasn’t he? saying something in this moment would probably be best; creating an awkward moment when he should be vocally expressing his gratefulness wouldn’t be good in the long run.

then again, the others in the room didn’t seem at all bothered. they continued speaking amongst themselves like sung wasn’t there. or, perhaps, they were expecting him to keep up, to move on like the rest of them.

we want to capitalize off of his virality, so we’ll need to make this process as speedy as possible. the longer we wait, the more momentum we lose out on.

when sung was in meetings, he attempted to employ the techniques his father had taught him growing up. presentable, strong, charismatic, a leader who knew the right path to take and wouldn’t take no for an answer. none of that came naturally to sung. throughout his childhood, he struggled with the concept of being the heir to the family business because being a businessman wasn’t who he was, or someone he could see himself becoming.

under contract at gold star, sung hadn’t used enough of those techniques, and thought, even if he was faking it, doing so with dimensions might have been the right call. parents know best, right?

to a degree, sung could agree. it felt as if dimensions staff took him much more seriously than gold star staff did. however, he set an expectation for himself to accept business style discussion, and not only was he already wearing a false skin... gosh was his head swimming.

a solo debut, while quantum were still rookies, and the process was going to be a speed run. none of those thoughts made sense to him, but everyone else around the table spoke like it was an inevitability they couldn’t dare to avoid.

we’ll need to schedule a song selection meeting for tomorrow if we want to get ahead of the curve.

sung blinked, and against their better judgement, this was the moment they were able to form words. “i’d like to write my own songs, if i can.”

a beat of silence felt like a no, but sung refused to back down. one executive looked to the others before breaking, “are you certain? it’s a very selective process. we won’t be easy on you. and you’ll be promoting soon. do you have enough songs to present?”

he couldn’t have been sure of anything. every new word that came from that person’s mouth set aflame yet another worry to add to the pile. however, backing down now would only ruin his chance to get a sliver of what he wants.

sung nodded, “give me until the end of the month. i can present forty songs. i value your time as much as my own, so trust that i won’t fail.”

they needed to discuss further, yet, all sung heard in the end was, “alright, end of the month.”

tldr; sung’s journey before choreographing for flower

time was of the essence. sung couldn’t afford to take individual parts of this process step by step. with each song he created, he needed to be thinking about emotion, how difficult it might be to perform, fashion, concept, and, choreography.

when creating music usually, choreography came to mind. often, it was in the form of emotional based, very sporadic moves. taking what he was hearing and reimagining it to worm within his body was natural. here, however, he needed to lean into it even further. sung couldn’t at all be sure what dimensions would want to make his title track. he could make guesses, or have opinions on songs he might want to fight harder for when the time came, but in this flurry of songwriting, he couldn’t stop to think of the reactions in the future. what he needed was to think of every possible future, and prepare for it.

the easiest thing to do when he presented his collection of songs, all of the old, new, and renewed, was to offer his ability to choreograph for whatever the chosen title was. not only would it save the company money, which he was sure they wouldn’t look down upon, but it would also save time, especially if he already had a basis of what he might want in a choreography. creating any song meant he needed to be thinking of choreography, acting it out when he could, even if that meant taking a ten second video of himself hopping out of his recording studio chair for two moves.

he’d been warned, that the meeting to decide on the album tracks would be grueling. sung had prepared for as much, yet, still managed to feel exhausted by the time a tracklist had been finalized -a feat backwards as it was, considering they planned on reworking his tracks afterwards anyway. cutting down on time and budget meant leaning into instrumental tracks, and storing away dozens of vocal included tracks for the company database.

with so much talk down, sung had nearly forgotten. the title track, the final piece of the puzzle, “the choreography- i can create it. i’ve been thinking about it already. it’s important to me, as i’m sure it is to all of you, that i’m able to do quantum’s name proud and i believe this song can be a great opportunity to do that.”

as a pitch, it felt shaky, unrehearsed, clear how much it had been pulled straight from his head in that moment. yet, he was met with, not laughing faces, only confused ones.

the meeting leader was the one to speak up this time, with a quickness sung could only envy, “we’ll have you work with one of ours, but we would have asked you to nonetheless. it’s a good area for you to gain more experience in.”

exhaustion didn’t feel strong enough a word to encapsulate the last couple of months. in the midst of preparation for a quantum comeback, being told he’ll have a solo debut, one that means zero break between promotion cycles, from quantum straight into promotion all on their own for the first time.

they stood, dressed in gold, breaths on a regular crunching the material, legs spread apart to lower themselves enough for the makeup artist to more easily work on him in the front, while a stylist behind him held his cape up.

sung requested from the stylist team that this outfit be saved for his last performance of flower, not only because it was the most difficult to move in, but because it also felt the most symbolic of an end result of this era. the concept for flower that the company had put together encouraged a victory of the ‘good’ king, and while sung wasn’t sure if this outfit was meant to be the good or bad side -the video had originally confused him as much as it seemed to confuse others as well- he’d like to believe it represented a trophy, not only for overcoming the hardships that the song was written about, but also the hardship of this promotion cycle.

no one in the public could know the full extent of how difficult the time period was for him, only the short descriptions he’d given about how fast the process was, and that was fine. sung didn’t need the sympathy of a faceless majority to feel proud of himself for what he had accomplished.

he could remember waiting for that first stage, how the minutes went on for hours, the hours on for days, weeks even. especially as a new debut, making a quick process wasn’t on the top of the show’s to do list, and it had felt excruciating. never considering a solo debut for himself, especially so early on, nerves had overcome him. he feared watching back his first stage, feared that he might not have been able to push through. by now, that filming was a blur. how well he did, or didn’t, had been lost to the memory shrouded in feeling, and maybe that was for the best. here, at the last performance he might have for a while, sung felt confident.

proof had come day by day, little by little. sung was capable of standing on his own, and continuing what he hoped could one day be quantum’s legacy.

Yes you read the title completely right, I was made aware of this a day or two ago but apparently one of the Disney Cruises is doing/did beauty and the beast the musical but based upon the live action movie. So naturally a massive fan of the live action I was both shocked and wildly confused, lucky for me I found a video on the entire performance(likely taken from a cruise tv.) from what I skimmed over it looks like instead of full body suits to look like they are it’s going to be regular (human outfits.) and then puppets, so I am Really really interested to see how this goes.

The timing is a little off we skip the prologue (Aria etc.) and start straight in How does a moment last forever... are they placing Belle after it? It was before in the movie. Wait oh my god he’s also narrator- it is the prologue! Pulled a sneaky one on ya.

so as I’ve said it’s like a mash up of the original and the remake with some of the choices it makes, I think it really makes or breaks some of the characters.

Lefou/Gaston-

Both of them fell back more into their Cartoon counterparts of : here to be the bad guy, here to be funny. Both of them become so overly comedic that you wouldn’t be able to tell who’s line was whos if you were shown them without being told. I think , funny as they were it negatively effected their character’s. Same case with the beast he definitely became more comedic if anything at all.

Lumierè/Cogsworth/Plumette-

These guys I think are the opposite. I think having a slight bit more of the animated made both banter and flirting hike it’s way up. Cogsworth and Lumierè were more showy in their banter , while Lumierè and Plumette were much more loud and showy with banter. Also the accents are art. Mrs. Potts was there to be the mother like figure and not given much of herself

As I’ve said the changes either make or break some moments, like adding a overwhelming amount of comedy like the og movie. As funny as it was it did not have that same weight/gravity the remake did in its more serious/emotional scenes like the death/human again scenes I felt little here and Gaston betraying Lefou. As well as having the more serious/soft songs as the remake really backfired with so much comedy, and not even the more Witty subtle humor of the movie. Funny, but odd as character choice

So I know you had to cut it down a lot in order to fit it on stage however, nessisary parts or songs (evermore ;-;) were completely excluded likely do to the slightly unessisary over extension of dance numbers in Gaston(that didn’t need it) and Be our guest. Which could have been time better spent.

The servants are the absolute saving grace of this musical. The costumes! Oh!(again cogsworths wig is my life.) the humor! The acting, the singing, the relationships- all of it- all of it. They carry the entire thing, and if I’m honest it’s mainly Lumierè, Cogsworth and Plumette, occasionally Mrs. Potts if you stretch.

Moon Byul - Starlit of Muse

This was a very enlightening experience. First off, none of it was bad, but none of it was super great either. Every song was a 7 or an 8, which is the sign of a consistently decent album. Ultimately though, I think I learned that I just don’t care much for her solo singing voice? I think she’s an excellent rapper, and in the context of Mamamoo I adore her. But as a soloist, I’m just not sure. Average score of 7.4 which feels about right. I do wish I spoke Korean so I could get the lyrical content, so I imagine I’m missing quite a bit here.

- There’s an insane run that I’m in the middle of: Le Sserafim -> IU -> Moonbyul -> Twice -> Taeyong, all in the space of a bit over a week. That’s kpop though, it never stops. I watched the pre-release from this album, and I’ve only heard it the once.

— wow so here we go. I remember very specifically. So my mom got the special Hulu to use the free trial and then cancel it so I watched the first two episodes of Deadly Class on it, then that night I watched the third episode when it aired after I watched The Magicians. I checked gif packs and yep I knew I wanted to do Benjamin Wadsworth. He, as my main, replaced by original version of Peyton Halliwell who I’d been struggling with forevers at that time. So originally I was thinking Henry Jr, but he’d been taken at the time. I’d also been obsessed with this fanfiction series (still am TBH it’s so fucking funny). This is the fic that made me say, I wanna do a damaged child taken in by a semi-adult. The semi-adult in the fic had been a teenager, so I thought of Mick who was playing Wyatt Halliwell and contacted her. ( Also a sidenote bc hilariously, the song came on. RWBY v6 had recently ended and the ending song NEVERMORE (which Will’s lyrics and title are from) started playing literally right now so thats funny ). Anyhow Mick was like SURE, and tbh the original connection idea was just through magic school but then it EVOLVED, I’m legit thinking thru the transcript of our conversation rn it’s wild??? Mick helped me choose darklighter-demon so this is fucking awesome ( go Mick!!! ) I LEGIT SENT THIS FROM THE FANFIC

I can’t go into someone’s DM to help me so this’ll come from memory. I know I wanted to do Brenton, and for a bit I was considering doing him as our then-Davina’s brother connection. But I ended up not doing it bc I had muse for someone else and I was at character limit at the time (crazy right??) anyhow so…. okay tbh I have no idea how my want for Brenton translated into him becoming Henrik Mikaelson bc he does not look like a Mikaelson. I know it def had to do with Titans s2 coming out and a huge influx of muse for Brenton. I think I wanted to do a canon which was where Henrik fit in but honestly I don’t remember and now I’m bothered by it lmao. I know I played Freya thrice before doing Henrik so maybe it was a want for a Mikaelson? I really really don’t know what the fuck happened there. But yes, and his backstory of being brought back in s2 of TO came from another rp I was in where I played Henrik with Robbie Kay and even thou it didn’t end up clicking right bc of the fc, I always fucking loved my initial idea of him having come back way back then. I think my want for him to work with kids and be a caretaker came from Dick and Rachel in Titans tbh skndkngf bc I loved that softness and I was thinking he could have a soft relationship with Hope too, I rmemeber thinking to myself I’d use their huggle gifs for them eventually lmfao. But yes honestly my memory is shit and dusty and while I rmemeber how other huge changes and plots came to be for him, his creation is a molted memory. So, let’s pre-requisite this by reminding everyone I’ve played Peyton Halliwell twice before with a number of three FCs, maybe more that I’m forgetting too tbh. The ones I remember are Lili Reinhart, Ginny Gardner and Taylor Hickson. So what happened here was. Um. Okay tbh I don’t remember too much. My ultimate memory is in the form of me mentioning Natalia Dyer to Sam and him being like I FUCKING LOVE HER DO IT and honestly thats how that happened lmfao. Her personality stemmed from Natalia’s ton of guns gifs and I still haven’t actually done her intro RIP. Barbara Gordan and Jane Levy. Babs is still fairly new, so I remember enough. I was in/still am in a Batfamily phase. So I was following the Titans tag and they showed a picture of Brenton and Jane in a movie together bc she’s the perfect Barbara Gordan and I just loved her Fc for the firs time, bc in the past I’d seen her and never felt anything. So I found out she had a good number of gif packs and they’re so pretty??? But I was so hesitant bc I didn’t have an idea for her and I didn’t wanna go in half cocked. Okay so here’s the thing. Jack Kline is a soft soft sweet boy who has struggles with three dads and a major guilt complex. I loved him from his first episode. I was hesitant for a second tbh, bc I was like Maybe I shouldn’t. Cause it’d suck to take him on and drop him, or be really bad at him (jury’s still out on that one) but like. I have not felt such muse for a proper canon character in a hell of a long time. So I browsed through his edit tag and i just said, Okay so this is happening. I even ended up making a whole entire gif pack of him in one day yesterday bc resources r a Bich. But yes like. I love Jack a lot as a character. I feel like he made me enjoy Supernatural again bc I found his plotline so compelling and him to be such a good and earnest character who’s just trying so hard and that spoke to me.

The interview plays like the setup trial and while not exact is DEFINITELY an awesome play on the vibe and how it was done. Puppetry and motives running the entire show~! Also has some of the best choreography! And when the reporter starts agreeing that there is Shuichi proving it all.

The next one might be a weird one, and the dramatic delivery might not suit her as much, but I associate Falcon in the Dive from The Scarlet Pimpernel with Maki in chapter 5. It’s about a manhunt, hunting down an enemy, and how your own morals are already done and it’s up to you. There’s a bit of conflict in it about being bitter about it too and it fits some characterization I wish they had shown there there. It plays in with the memories they barely have as well. OKAY now onto some more dialogue heavy stuff! Non-Stop from Hamilton for Kokichi & Shuichi! Let me explain. Kokichi I find is very like Hamilton, making himself the center of it all, writing, not stopping, going at it all, making enemies but overall doing more and more ambitious. Meanwhile Shuichi is a lot more like Burr, says less, but knows what he’s doing, and bewildered by Hamilton’s methods. Keeps his cards close to his chest until he needs them. Kokichi writing like he’s running out of time is so very very in character. It just fits him SO WELL. It could even represent Kokichi’s attempt to partner with him in chapter 4 and being turned down. Some lyrics! okay first and foremost, i forgot that you existed? DEEPLY iconic. my roommate doesn’t like this one as much as some of the others on the album but it’s def top 3 for me. like, everything about it is so perfect - the message the song sends is one of hope for people who are kind of hopelessly tangled up in drama at the moment (i.e. don’t worry, soon enough you’re going to wake up one day and forget that all of those people even exist (which is HELLA true)) but like!!! even the music she wrote with the song kind of supports the message!! my roommate’s biggest complaint with that song is that she feels like the music needs to Build and Go Places more than it does, but like........god the whole point of the song is that it’s written to a person taylor’s indifferent toward, shouldn’t the music seem a little indifferent too?? like yes there’s joy and it does build and it does move but if it DID get super dramatic it would actually contradict the message of the song so like??? it’s??? perfect??? and i have scream-singed it in my car a million times already thank u for asking

i’ll be honest, cruel summer doesn’t do as much for me as some of the other songs on the album,,,,,i mean i like it and i can DEF sing along to it and the line “i love you ain’t that the worst thing you’ve ever heard” is such a mood. it’s the first song on the album that i was like oh she probably started writing that (or at least getting the idea to write it) the summer every angry mob in america was calling for her head bc like there’s definitely a sense of self-deprecation/preservation in some of the lyrics. idk it strikes me as a song about how terrifying vulnerability is especially in the face of such public and global hatred directed toward you

the man honestly took me a few tries to like but i definitely have a healthy amount of respect for it now. like idk it felt a little out of place at first given that this whole album is supposed to be about love and that song is,,,,,,not (at first glance) but the more i listen to it the more i realize that it sort of is in a way? like she’s been painted as this serial dater since day one when in reality her dating history isn’t really that sordid?? just extremely public. and in listening to the lyrics it sort of dawned on me that her frustration with the way society treats women stems from that reputation (ha) that was forced on her and the way that reputation colored every other interaction she’s ever had with popular culture. like every microinteraction i’ve heard about involving her has been overwhelmingly positive but then you look at media as a whole and they make her out to be this entirely different person and part of u has to wonder if it would even be an issue if you took all the same behaviors, dating history, microinteractions etc. and applied them to an equally famous man. and the answer is no it would not be an issue

the archer made me cry the first time i heard it and it still kind of strikes me at my core a lot if i don’t distract myself with other things while it’s on? like sitting down and actually listening to the words is. tough bc i relate to it a lot and not in the fun scream-sing in the car way that i relate to i forgot that you existed. that song actually makes me really uncomfortable with who i am bc like god!!!!! i have been the archer!!!! i have been the prey!!!! i don’t understand why people have left me and i REALLY don’t understand why people stay!!!!! in all seriousness though it goes back to that struggling with vulnerability thing - by being vulnerable you’re opening up the scariest, rawest parts of yourself to other people and risking being rejected for those scary raw parts. it’s a song about struggling between building those walls up to protect yourself or risking getting hurt for the sake of love - and lucky for her she seems to have found someone who has seen the scary raw stuff in her life and has decided that he wants to stay

it’s nice to have a friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this really is what i thought love would be when i was in like 3rd grade and just becoming aware of it as a concept!!!!!!!! there was a little boy who lived next door and we were best friends growing up and there was never any romantic aspect to our friendship (that i am aware of) but we used to play outside together all the time and it was sweet and simple and secure and that’s the way that song makes me feel!!! also i read that every single instrument/vocal performance on that song (outside of taylor herself) was done by a children’s music group which just adds to the childlike sweetness of the song and gah it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

First of all, yes the movie was flawed but it felt like the excitement and love you have when you meet up with a friend you never seen in a long time.. I missed these characters sm so I was just here for a good time

closer is one of the ones where im like eh its ok its not my favorite and then it gets to the chorus and my dumb ass is jsut screaming YOU KNOW THE CLOSER YOU GET TO SMETHING THE TOUGHTER IT IS TO REACHIT. the funniest part where narutos moping and thinking of sasuke and then he just perks up and smiles at the camera like. gay boy. like getting to see the asuma fight scenes in this op, also it was so funny seeing him get all the screentime in this op knowing hes about to die like yeah very subtle

this one literally makes me cry. i get chills what the fuck. definitely one of my favs. am i a bitch? maybe. i like the song by itself but like the way the rise/general shape of the melody flows with the visuals its like oh god oh fuck. again fuck jiraiya but like the role his character serves as a link between these disparate groups of people and the way thats used in this opening… how it starts and ends with him writing and this is the arc where naruto reads tales of a gutsy ninja and he learns about how he got his name and jiraiya wrote the book and hes WRITING and im going CRAZY!! i’m starting to tear up watching it rn. the shot of konan and the pains in that moment just before they leap forward. FAV literally like naruto is drowning. hes drowning and everyone is pushing him up so he can breathe again everyone is fighting to save him and thnen he s ouf ot the water and then he sees sasuke drowning and he JUMPS BACK IN. SILHOUETTE IS a banger… not as much so as some of the others but its a lot of fun. very colorful op, we got some naruto pining for sasuke, classic. also love the thing where ppl are running and they age as they do and they sort of grow into their present selves, a fun visual bit. the end where narutos like obito be nice now look at all these people behind me who think youre a meanie please be nice :(((((((((
