LCF BigBang Pinch-hit Sign-Ups Open

Hello and welcome to Pinch-hit sign-ups for the LCF Big Bang event!

Sign ups are open until the end of the creation period.

What’s a Bang again?

A Bang is a type of fan challenge in which writers and artists work together to produce new collaborative content for the fandom. The theme for this Bang is AU/UA, which is completely optional.

Who can join?

This event is open to artists and writers of all abilities, in any stage of their fandom journey – a fun opportunity for the LCF family to come together and celebrate the various relationships between different characters in the LCF cast written by Yoo Ryeo Han.

What are the artist and writer requirements?

- Traditional/digital artists must create a minimum of one stylistically complete work or a flat coloured work, to the best of your ability. - Writers must write a minimum of 3,500 words. There is no maximum limit, but all works must be finished and polished by the final deadline.

What is a pinch-hitter?

Pinch-hitters are back up artists or writers who replace an artist/writer that drops out. Pinch-hitters are very important aspects for this kind of events. Should a writer or artist drop out of the event, a pinch hitter will be asked to fill in for that position so that no participant has to go on without a partner.

What is the claim process like?

Pinch-hitters, please take a look at the pinch-hit document. You'll be asked to claim a minimum of 3 projects in the sign-up form. Whether you are an artist or a writer (or both), the projects you choose signify who you are willing to step in for should someone drop out.

When will I be contacted for pinch hit? 

Pinch-hitters will only be required if an artist or writer drops out of the event. As such, signing up as a pinch-hitter doesn't guarantee of whether you'll be contacted. However, your presence is very appreciated.

Before you fell in love with the show, which main cast (adult) member made you want to watch 9-1-1?

Also, tell me why!

As someone who'd watched Nashville, it was Connie Britton who made me want to watch it. Then I didn't start with it because I had no idea when it was actually on (in Australia because we can get 3-6 months of promo after shows have started in the US) because all our TV was streamed (going into networks apps) and the anxiety was not going well. Then, when I actually got around to watching it, it was also Ryan Guzman because I was a 17-19 year old female when his Step Up movies were released and his during little stint on PLL, I don't think I need to clarify anything there...

"Why did you start watching 9-1-1?" someone could theoretically ask me, and I would tell them that after years of running into it again and again (through fanfic writers, while looking up actors I liked, etc.), I read a good chunk of fics, watched a few scenes, and decided, "Fine, FINE, I will go back 7 seasons and try this from the beginning."

"Oh, what was the scene that finally hooked you? The tsunami? The ladder truck bombing? The WILL?"

No, no. It was this scene:

Look, it makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it. Plus, I've been fond of Kenneth Choi since Captain America and equally fond of John Harlan Kim since The Librarians.

(Also, if anyone were theoretically curious, I started watching 9-1-1 exactly one week before "Buck, Bothered and Bewildered" aired. I'm on, like, Episode 5 or something, and suddenly my Tumblr is going WILD.

Well. Obviously, I had to marathon faster after that.)
