DRDT spoilers (?) - DRRT (Opposite) AU

Reversed!Arei decided to hold a FRIENDLY AND FAIR arm wrestling competition to see who'd be able to open that elevator! And, given the current cast is either derranged, unemotional, or both... Here's how that went!

Hu Jing vs. Rose Lacroix

As expected, Hu completely cheated. We can only hope that Rose's foot is fine.

Arei Nageishi x Julia Rosales

Yes, Arei said that it would be fair, but I guess that she's just a sucker for people like J.

Teruko Tawaki vs. Whit Young

A shame, really. Who knows? Maybe Whit would've been able win with the girl who has a dozen bandages.

Ace Markey vs. Alexander Matthews

That went... about as well as Ace exepcted.

Aftermath:

"...Yup. That's definitely broken."

He didn't even have to take off his jacket.

Originally, Levi was supposed to arm wrestle the winner, but after watching THAT happen, he quickly conceded.

And in case you're wondering, if Charles and Nico were to arm wrestle, Charles would initially try to go easy on Nico, but before he even did anything, they'd excitedly slam his hand on the table.

And if Min and David were to do it, David would win, but it'd be a close stalemate.

Weirdly specific question time. Ace, when Arturo asked you if you would watch a horror movie with him and Veronika, you said “yes, but not today” (paraphrased). Why couldn’t you do it that day? Did you have something else planned for that afternoon, or did you just not feel like doing it?

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to ask this, since this currently takes place in chapter one. But what would the motive secrets be in this AU?

This is an OOC post! I was originally going to post other questions that involve drawing, but Ibis Paint was RUDE and kept crashing. And since I took a two day break, I think y'all deserve some sneak peaks.

SMALL NOTES: 1. The secrets themselves are mostly the same, just worded differently. A few of them, though, are completely different. 2. Only the canon ones will be shown. I have a few secrets that I believe to fit certain characters, but as of now, I'll only be sharing the canon ones. 3. Many of these topics, much like their canon counterpart, deal with serious issues. Some of these topics include forms of self-harm, eating disorders, mention of suicide, death of family members, etc.

This is a really long post, so I've decided to cut it. ^^

Also! Alexander is not on this list because I personally do not think David was telling the truth. Something in me believes that David was straight up lying when he said that Xander's secret was what it was. ...Maybe I'm just in denial.

THE SECRETS

DAVID: "You exist to manipulate others. Everyone else exists to be a stepping stone."

ACE: "Your body is falling apart, but by now, you've grown numb to it."

EDEN: "Ever since you kissed her, you've avoided her. You think that your crush will ruin your friendship. She just wanted to keep in touch."

JULIA: "You hide your alias to pretend you aren't as disobedient as everyone thinks you are. You are J Moreno."

WHIT: "Your mother is dead, but all you can think about is how your father left you in your time of need."

AREI: “You say you feel bad, but you’ve never admitted to the fact that you framed your sisters for heinous crimes.”

CHARLES: "Your older brother died, yet you deny ever knowing him."

ARTURO: “Your younger sister killed herself because of you. You were too selfish to think about her.”

ROSE: "You still remember your moms' faces when they realized you're the reason for their debt."

NICO: "No one accepted you for who you are, so you just isolated yourself from the outside world. You live in constant ignorance."

Levi and Ace's dynamic!! It's- uh-

not great--

During the first chapter, Ace doesn't care all that much about Levi (as he doesn't have his canon freak out of "LEVI'S GONNA KILL ME"), but Levi is intrigued with Ace. A sort of "heehee little man", at first. So, they start hanging out.

But as they hang out, Levi quickly learns that Ace really is that unemotional - to a point where his arm breaks, and he barely blinks an eye. So to Levi, Ace seems like he just can't feel anything.

And then chapter 2 happens.

And then everything falls apart for the two.

Below is basically how that happened! The cut is because of light gore and implied DRDT spoilers! Also it's not that well drawn since it's nearing midnight, but-

As it turns out, Ace isn’t as emotionless as he makes it out to be.

Is it midnight? Yes. But I’m fixating on my Opposite AU - specifically Hu - so here’s a fun fact!

Hu has nicknames for everyone in the cast. Some of them change time to time, so… ya! Here they are:

Teruko - Babe: Starting off real strong. Occasionally, Hu would change it to “Baby”. It’s unclear if she means this in a romantic sense, but Teruko seems to think otherwise.

Alexander - Xander: To Hu, it’s just a cooler name. However, Alexander doesn’t like it when Hu uses the name on him. Maybe if somebody like Teruko does, he’ll be merciful. And Alexander is not feeling merciful with Hu. They hate each other.

Charles - Bill: Bill Nye the Science guy. Need I say more?

Ace - Mr. Blank-Slate: Considering that Ace seems to lack in personality, Hu thought that this name was fitting. However, she is constantly trying to change his name because even though it fits his personality, she wants something that fits his looks.

Arei - Sis: Always said in an aggressive and harsh tone. She tried calling Arei “mom” in the same tone, but hated it. So she changed it to that.

Rose - Hoo-Ha: Seeing as how Rose is constantly panicking over something, Hu thought it was fitting.

Eden - Shorty: Hu hates the fact that this name is so uncreative. She’s been trying to come up with something, but she doesn’t seem to care enough to find the right one.

Levi - Bestie: Levi and Hu seem to get along the best. And given Levi’s almost diva-like personality, Hu knew that Levi wouldn’t mind being called that. Not like she cared, though.

Arturo - Pretty Boy: She doesn’t have much of a reason for this. Kinda just because Arturo deals with ugly people and makes them pretty. That’s totally it.

Min - Lazy-ass: The only one in which Hu swears, she used this nickname when she found out that Min was a large procrastinator.

David Chiem - Star-Boy: David is the one with the most set-in-stone nicknames. Star-Boy, Mr.Goodietwoshoes, Xander’s boyfriend, Little Miss Perfect… he has a lot. David doesn’t seem to mind all that much - although he gets a bit confused with the second to last one.

Veronika - Weirdo: She chose this name because she KNOWS Veronika hates it. While she doesn’t talk much about Veronika’s interests, she just calls her weird and hates on all of her horror.

Julia - Doll-face: To Hu, it just seemed fitting. After all, she’s the newest face of the Rosales family.

Whit - Cupid-Boy: She also calls him “crybaby” (which is a complete reference to the Amazing Digital Circus quote “Which leaves crybaby and Hoo-ha to go handle the Zooble situation.”)

Nico - Pipsqueak: Considering Nico’s considerable size, Hu knew it was fitting. Besides, Nico finds it cute.

MonoTV - The thing: She has little to no respect for MonoTV, so often times, she won’t even say it’s name. Whenever someone asks what she’s talking about, she makes dog ears with her hands.
