My scrunkle (Fracturing Time Mikey) may have lost in the @rottmntpeepawpolls but he still loves his boys, even if Leo likes driving him up the wall.

I don't have a comic for ya since he lost, but I've got this and some random FT! facts below if you're interested in my ramblings

• I was originally actually going to do a F!Leo back in time fic! I had some ideas on what to do, it was going to take place during the movie, but the ending I had in mind was kinda sad tbh so I didn't go with it (though I do have a oneshot with all three going back instead now). Plus, there were already so many beautiful Future Leo fics out there!

• I then realized that there was quite literally only one other one of Future Mikey that I could find at the time (Mystic Hands), so I wanted to explore that idea more and give F!Mikey more love because he deserves it! I thought it would be a fascinating idea to go with too!

• This fic had originally been planned to be 10-15k long and just a short exploration of what could happen. The plot had been pretty different at the time as well, but it quickly got out of hand in word count.

• A part of the former bullet point was because I couldn't really find any Future Mikey fics to read lol so I just kept building upon my own. I also wanted to explore what his interpersonal relationships would be with each of the turtles, so he will be spending more time with Raph, Mikey, and Donnie in future chapters (currently it is at chapter 9 at the date this is posted).

• I love the idea that the movie parallels how Donnie and Raph died in the future, hence Donnie's death protecting Mikey in the fic.

• I have around 12 more chapters written out so far (just not checked over).

• I've tried to make most things that happen in the fic have some sort of connection with future chapters in some way, even some subtle, seemingly insignificant moments.

• I went out of my comfort zone with this fic. I wanted to do something bolder, something more plot heavy and what I wouldn't normally do, because I love reading fics like that. I often feel that I fall back on writing domestic aus, even though I'm not as interested in reading them, it's just what I was comfortable with.

• If I could go back, I would probably condense some of the beginning and make it pov alternating (but! I have snuck some moments in there, one of which is very soon).

• This fic is on a mini hiatus for a few weeks. I am neck deep in projects at the moment and work a full time job. I need to focus on those first before I can continue it, but I should hopefully have another chapter up in the foreseeable future.

And that's what I can think of for now! I'm not sure which person(s?) nominated FT!Mikey to be in the peepaw polls, but I want to thank you, it means a lot to me that you consider him to be up there with the other peepaws! He barely made it in there (32nd entry) lol but he's there!! I'm so glad there's fans out there that genuinely enjoy the story, and everyday I wish to continue it for all of you, you all keep me so inspired!!

MY INTERPRETATION OF SCRAPTRAP - GORE WARNING OBVIOUSLY -

Honestly, I did this just for the fun of it because of a theory video I watched detailing the OP's thoughts on why Scraptrap... looks like he does. I like Scraptrap, he's goofy but I saw potential, so I gave a crack at it :3! This took me roughly 4 days? maybe 3, to complete, Not 100% satisfied with the result but it was a blast to draw! Oh, and little theories and extras for why I did what I did with this design under the cut.

(Also, Tumblr quality is ABYSMEL OH MY GOD)

The text reads as follows: "Because of similarities, I used aspects of Golden Freddy in my design. Importantly, the more "Golden" parts are Golden Freddy, while the dark green is Spring Bonnie. (Look at Springtrap.)"

That's basically all you need to know! But other things I wanna go into more about:

The Muzzle is a weird shape that scarily resembles that of Withered Golden Freddy. We haven't seen a rabbit like Animatronic with a square-shape like that, reserved only for withered G.Freddy & withered Freddy. I wanted to emphasize the colour of the muzzle to be more golden like Scrap-traps muzzle, to both highlight its drastic change from Springtrap (where he didn't even have a different muzzle colour) and to further bring home the idea it's Golden Freddy. Also he has buck teeth probably bc Peepaw wanted it to be more rabbit like lmao

It'd make sense for Golden Freddy to be used for the repairment of the suit due to the character being from the same restaurant as Spring Bonnie, so they'd be made of the same materials and would probably be easiest to use for repairs. I also believe that Golden Freddy would be at the same location as Springtrap in FNAF 3, due to the easter egg of either shadow or golden Freddy appearing by your side in the office (idk what one it is). If that's Golden Freddy, then if the Spring Bonnie suit could survive the fire of Fazbears Fright, then why can't the Golden Freddy suit?

My last point to make about G. Freddy being used in my design, is that apparently people theorise Cassidy is the one tormenting Will in hell. After the crying child moved on in the Happiest Day minigame, Cassidy remained. IDK if it's possible, but if Will merged some of the golden Freddy suit with his own, could the soul follow suit? (Kinda a stretch but it'd explain why William is haunted by G.Freddy and also has weirdly similar design elements from Golden Freddy in his Scrap Trap design.)

Nonetheless, this was just to test my skills. Happy but not with the design overall, I like the more withered look with random pops of colour here and there to differentiate from the original Springtrap. Admittedly, I rushed the rest at the end (the legs) and it shows. Not happy with that choice, but I wanted to move on from this project, honestly.

I think the main thing I wanted to keep was the bones tbh, hence why you see more than just his skull and fingers this time around. Also yes! Goofy arm returns due to the overwhelming "Yes" on my poll JHGFDSH

let me preface this as brief as possible: I don’t care about polls.

dont get me wrong, i think they’re fun!! especially the sillay goofy ones like “which peepaw would get obliterated by a single chili in their food” that kind of silly.

but i’ve been noticing a trend in which a lot of those polls are starting to look like thinly veiled popularity contests – obviously not everyone intends that, but it’s just starting to look like that. me personally? i dont really give a shit bc again, i write for myself bc i wanna read specific things and i might as well produce what i want to see and just invite everyone else who has a similar desire. but if you’re gonna start polls just to see which is more “popular” then i kindly ask you to leave my stuff out of it bc im getting a little tired of it.

i do recognise odd man out is well known bc ppl like what i write and tell ppl about it, so i think it’s not only a little unfair to pit smaller fics against mine but also invites a lot of ugly behaviour like shitting on the bigger fics just bc they are “popular”. im sorry, but most of us werent even ASKED if we wanted to be in those polls and honestly? i refuse to take any responsibility for hurt feelings.

i’m doing this for Fun, i’m not competing with anyone. us with “big fics” literally do not owe you any consolation, we’re doing this for free and none of it pays us any bills. all what these repeated competitions and comparisons do is kill motivation and the fun we get from creating and exchanging ideas.

i had fun with the recently finished peepaw poll bc with how i interacted with some of the members, a lot of them didnt take it as seriously and i liked that, that’s what made it fun. im not telling you to not stop making polls, but at least dont create any where it seems like you all are clamoring for some popularity contest – leave my stuff out of those bc i really dont wanna deal with weird comments and halfway demanding asks bc i promise, i will not care about it bc we’re all some guy on the internet. but i know some ppl really dont wanna be part of this but are stuck pretending they’re okay out of fear they’re gonna ruin everyone’s fun – and you all know im not a fan of putting everyone’s fun before anyone’s boundaries.

so here’s mine; you may use odd man out in your polls, especially the silly goofy ones. i’d prefer that you don’t use odd man out in your borderline popularity polls, but even if you do, i won’t care about it and will dismiss it along with everything related to it. and please, for the love of god, stop putting me, my stuff or anyone else and their stuff on a pedestal bc that never ends well for anybody.

Yet Another Shipping Poll

It's once again time to decide upon your favorite a ship for a specific Twisted Wonderland character. This time, the ship is surrounding everyone's favorite peepaw: Lilia Vanrouge!

Now, it will be a bit different from most of my other shipping polls as, instead of ships with Lilia and another NRC student, you guys will be choosing from some of the other twst parents/grandparents we've been introduced to in the game.

(Note, there's a small spoiler in regards to Vil's dad, but it's just his name, so if you already know this piece of information or don't mind his name being spoiled for you, feel free to look at the rest of the poll)

Now, I know that some people may want to put down a NRC student's name in the comments should they pick the "other" option, but it's just a bit weird to me seeing as the oldest student we know of (who isn't fae) is only 20. Idk, it just gives me the ick to see Lilia shipped with characters who are just entering adulthood when he himself is an old man, even by fae standards, so it will only be full-on adults in this shipping poll. If you want another poll without these rules, please consider making it yourself.

Anyways, onto the fun bit!

Between You and Me and Him (BYMH) - Peepaw Babygirl Ultimate edition

Let’s drag DMD back in here again, same setup and everything, the kids are being distracted with some number coloring sheets, but let’s also drag in the other Nonny Peepaws. Everyone can stand but let’s give the man of the hour the same metal chair, solely because we don’t have the money to give everyone a seat. (We blame DMD because he doesn’t bring in money due to losing just about every poll he’s in.)

So, DMD, welcome back! How does it feel to be back on the chair?

DMD:

He settles into his seat, the metal groaning under his weight as he tries to get comfortable. He rubs his carapace as he asks, “When will we get better chairs?”

When you bring home a win—now, answer the question.

DMD:

He raises a brow but answers nonetheless, an unamused tone to his voice, “I don’t know why or how I keep getting pulled into these polls—or tournaments? Are the kids up to this? Well, whatever these polls are the kids keep getting disappointed, but they don’t stop cheering me on.”

DMD:

He leans to the side, a curious expression growing on his face before he answers, “Not really, no. I asked the kids what it is but they just laughed—except for Leon. The little guy seems to be embarrassed, so I’m not counting on getting answers from him. I asked Junior, but the kids won’t tell him either.”

Great, let’s ask the other F!Leos what they think about the poll!

DMD:

He unclips the microphone and hands it to the nearest Leo, which happens to be Reunion, but asks, “Aren’t you going to tell me what is a babyg—?”

So, thoughts about the poll?

Reunion:

Reunion rubs his chin as he thinks to himself and says, “I think it’s hilarious, but I’m only laughing because the kids are laughing. I have a hunch on what a babygirl is, but I don’t think I’m right. That, and I don’t want to tell DMD if what I think it’s about is right.” He leans over and hands the mic to LCD who backs away. Reunion grabs LCD by the carapace and shoves the mic in LCD’s hand.

LCD:

LCD looks between the mic in his hand and DMD whose eyes narrow when they make eye contact. He quickly looks away, his eyes avoiding contact with anyone and says, “I’m leaving.”

DMD, stop threatening LCD we need the content. You promised a temporary truce.

WDS:

“If it helps, DMD wears aprons in the kitchen and writes a message for each of his kids,” WDS mentions after snatching the microphone from LCD who scurries to the back corner.

DMD:

His face flushes for a brief second before it goes away and he asks, “I only did that one time, and how do you know that?”

Anymore?

WDS:

“He doesn’t wear the same apron every time, he has seven he switches for everyday of the week and some extra for different holidays.”

DMD jumps from his seat, arm aiming for WDS’s hand who dodged and hands the mic to the kids.

Mikey grabs the mic and holds it close to every kid on the ground coloring. A smile crawls on his face seeing Lil Leon’s embarrassed expression but the kids all say (except Lil Leon):

“Vote DMD on the Peepaw Babygirl Ultimate!”

DMD doesn’t know what’s going on but he’s got some spirit.

Don’t upset the kids by giving DMD another loss, lol. They’re trying their damnedest and made cute paper fans with DMD’s face.

As the final peepaw poll comes to a close, I’m gonna share some of my favorite panels from my Ghost In The Shell animatic. 

I love the sequence where time passes a lot (and Ghost’s hoard of coffee mugs grows) but this bit where he gives up on the dimentional travel machine I am especially find of. I’m really pleased with the implied story of the ripped schemetics in particular. 

I am also genuienly in love with the parallel shots and I really like this drawing of the 03 turtle tots. I got better and better at drawing the 03 turtles as I went along, so I think Mikey came out the best even though his pose was kinda difficult. 

Look, these are just really nice still shots. I’m really proud of how Mikey and Donnie came out here. 

Again, I love all the parallel shots, expect to be seeing more of them. Also, another 03 turtle tot drawing. 

I am very fond of these drawings of Ghost teaching Leo medicine and denying Donnie uranium. Scenes in Donnie’s lab always have some of the most detailed backgrounds, and I just really like the diagrams I wrote for both these panels with Leo’s veternarian textbook and Donnie’s presentation, lmao. 

I just love the parallel panels! I’m SUPER proud of Leo, I was able to locate an image of the teapot they had in 03 and I was, like, vibrating with excitement to make this comparison, especially since GitS points out specifically Leon’s tea brewing as something that reminds Ghost of Leonardo. (Also, I was very greatful the two teapots had similar handels so I could keep the pose as similar as possible) 

I was also getting better at drawing Rise!Raph at this point, and I am really proud of how he came out! His pose was pretty difficult, but I’m very happy with it. 

And Mikey, lol. Always the cook, not always good at it. 

Those are all the panels I’m really, really proud of and we’re going to ignore the panels where I made a mistake. Feel free to ask me if any of you want me to post a specific panel for some reason. Everyone enjoy the final round of the peepaw poll, it’s been a great time, and be sure to check out all the amazing AUs everyone’s made and shower their creaters with well-deserved praise.

Holy crap guys! I’m pretty sure Replica was just on there as a joke! He’s not supposed to be an actual contender amongst these titans of epic peepaw-ness. He’s not even an official peepaw!

And for the record, you have all made a grave error. At least most of the others have had a bit of experience being back in the present among “normal society.” I don’t think this guy has ever been on an actual date-date. Luckily he’s too nice to say no upfront if it’s pitched to him as a mission. I didn’t even know this was something people would actually want. So here you go, because now I can’t purge it from my mind until I’ve drawn out this cringe.

90% of the outcomes jut end with him pissed off because he realizes you wasted his time when he should have been strategizing the next mission, so that's the best you're going to get out of him. This is so ridiculous but how hilarious would it be to have an all out Peepaw dating sim? But the end goal would just be to make each one of them laugh and it would be titled something awful like: “Peepaw Paradise” or “My Precious Peepaw!” It would be the absolute worst and I am sorry for even suggesting it.

But seriously it feels unfair because this poll is on Tumblr and that’s pretty much Replica territory. People wouldn’t even know what Replica was if the poll was on Twitter or some other platform! So please give all these other peepaw stories a read and some love!

(And being such a good friend!) And then there are the silent enjoyers of my fics that leave likes on pretty much everything I post (I see you, but idk if you’ll want me to put you on blast hahaha!)

🧩- well, the more obvious answer is incest/tcest, sometimes writers don’t tag this and it gets past my filters and I hate that so, so much. But honestly, i think I’ve clicked off of plenty fics that spell the characters’ names wrong hehe… I get easily confused on what is happening and who these mystery people are lol. And bad paragraph spacing… I don’t mind long paragraphs, but huge blocks of text make it hard to read… other than that, my standards are wide ranged and I try to read anything as long as it keeps me interested! No amount of kudos or hits or comments will deter me from checking out a fic!
