yk what the annoying thing about having a family from balkan is? Everything you do ever since you were a little girl will be judged. Everything you do could destroy the family. Everything you do could damage the reputation. Albanian families will keep their traditions the way they are. It doesn’t matter how many changes the world has made, it doesn’t matter how many more feminists rise, to them it does not matter!! Why is that? Because they raise their children to be anxious. They traumatise their children from when they were little til today. Oh you’re gonna eat more than one cookie at another persons house as a guest? That’s shameful, stop eating! Oh you want to go and play with the boys? You cant do that, you’re a girl that’s embarrassing you will embarrass the whole family!

I always wondered why I knew even as a kid under 10 years old why I wasn’t allowed to play with boys or kiss a boy or be anywhere near a boy.. it’s because of how they terrorise you! Everything you do can bring your family to shame! This is the reason why I understood George from the show Queen Charlotte. I understood his panic attacks of letting a whole empire fall to shit. But his empire was my family. It’s stuck with me now. I get anxious whenever I do something and make a decision. Because I don’t know if it’ll get me in trouble and what the consequences might be.

Of course I’m gonna be absolutely radical and point out that this ONLY and SOLELY applied to girls. Girls are the black sheep of the family. Albanians hate girls. They would rather have boys. Girls are only their to wait on the guests, make food and clean. It disgusts me to my core. I hate the albanian mindset. The way it is still set so far back that it could literally match bridgertons timeline. It disgusts me.

I love it when women hate men. I love it when women are allowed to vent to each other about how horrible and creepy men are. I love it when women form friendships with and prioritize each other over relationships with men(whether they're attracted to them or not). I love it when women put men dni in their bios and on their nude photos and on posts on their blogs. I love it when women refuse to mollycoddle and accommodate entitled male feelings with "but this doesn't mean I hate all men, I know a few men who are great, I love my father/sons/brothers/uncles/male cousins/guy friends" I love it when women complain about men WITHOUT "not all men" being a disclaimer. I love it when women avoid socializing with/refuse to be around/befriend/get close to men because they know men can't be trusted. I love it when women make "kill all men" jokes. I love it when women offer absolutely no concern or care for men's feelings and if their misandry offends men whatsoever because why should we, men are the oppressor class who have raped and killed and abused us and kept us as subjugated as second-class citizens for millennia, they regularly mistreat us and the women in their own marginalized communities still every single day and make this world so much harder and more awful for us to be in, and if we choose to hate them and not spare them any sympathy then so be it, and I don't just mean "men as a class" either, you can be a woman who doesn't want to have anything to do with any man on an individual basis and completely cuts off men from her personal life too and ykw I will love and fucking support you in that because men deserve absolutely NOTHING from us. If they're so tough and strong then they can handle it just like they can handle being lonely. If you are a woman who hates men, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A LESBIAN AND/OR A TRANS WOMAN, then just know that I love you. I love you, I support you, and you are safe here.

semi-dark king merlin au, someone from ealdor tells king cenred about merlin and he is captured and held as a slave in essetir. since merlin despises captivity and servitude, he’d rather be dead and free than alive and in chains so he acts out and pisses people (especially the king) off so they’ll think him too much trouble and kill him. at first they stick to beatings until merlin manages to get his chains around a few necks and now has a body count so they kill him…..only he wakes back up a few hours later and king cenred is Intrigued and keeps him close. merlin keeps acting out but no matter how many times they kill him, he won’t stay dead. merlin has this moment after waking up perfectly fine after his twenty seventh death where he is hopeless and believes there to be no escape, not even thru death. a few other sorcerers in chains come and help him clean up and give him a lil peptalk, realizing him to be emrys, and then they revolt and take over the kingdom and crown merlin as king and now uther is like “wtf” bc his neighboring kingdom who was kinda sorta on his wavelength about sorcery, though uther did not approve of keeping them alive, is now a kingdom ruled by magic. he goes to war with them but with magic running free and fucking emrys on the throne, they don’t make a lot of headway. anyways merthur meet on the battlefield, enemies to lovers, you get it

marylily!! please dear god give lily girlfriends. she’s surrounded with annoying boys in canon and she’s still being hc’d as being the Girl Best Friend. i dont ship marylily, but i think their friendship is very sweet. it feels like a place where lily can finally relax and just be. i dont talk about them much, but i hc’s them as having a lot of issues in the early hogwarts year. mary thinks lily is a stuck up and a pick me, lily’s thinks mary is a know it all who wont give her a break. they’re very similar to me but the difference is that lily is always being praised and put on a pedestal (even if she didnt ask for it) whereas mary has to work twice as hard to get even an inch of the same praise. and lily doesn’t even want the praise, which drives mary insane and she thinks lily is ungrateful. so it takes a lot of years for them to form a friendship, and once they do i think of them as bffs for life <3

I've decided that I'm actually fully fed up with being hit on at work, so this weekend I'm gonna splurge on making a more masc wardrobe. Really I'm killing two birds with one stone. I usually have no matching clothes for when I'm in a more masc-clothing craving mood, and this'll be a nice opportunity to see if my mental outfit ideas can translate over well to real life. I might buy some chains and a couple belts, but I really just wanna focus on getting enough pants and shirts to cover at least a couple weeks of existence
