just some more spitballing about character backgrounds for the avatar Yue AU... some of this I've been over before but it has been a hot minute since I discussed this AU
Yue is still the princess of the Northern Water Tribe, though she was born a waterbender and did not require the assistance of the moon spirit. She was only taught to use waterbending to heal growing up, and her father had full intention of concealing the fact that she was the Avatar from her, fearing that it may draw their people back into the war. When she discovered the truth (as well as her upcoming betrothal to Hahn), she decided to leave the North Pole and head to their Southern siblings, with the hopes that they would teach her combat waterbending.
(She is unaware of the major flaw in her plan.)
Aang is her childhood friend, born into one of the small pockets of survivors of the airbender genocide. He grew up in the North Pole and became fast friends with Yue, who was drawn to his sense of humor and how free he seemed. He's not an airbending master just yet, but it's clear he has incredible potential. When Yue decides to run away, she turns to Aang for help, and he agrees- and also agrees to teach her what he knows about airbending. He's eager to go out into the world, and maybe even connect with some of the other Air Nomad survivors.
Officially, Prince Zuko was kidnapped and likely killed by Earth Kingdom spies. Unofficially, the newly crowned Fire Lord Ozai paid off a few of his most loyal subordinates to make Zuko disappear. His face was burned to make him harder to recognize, and he was cast out into the Earth Kingdom and expected to die. Instead, he was picked up by a traveling theater troupe, who took him in. He taught himself how to fight, and has taken up moonlighting as a vigilante, fighting against both Fire Nation forces and Earth Kingdom corruption.
Instead of being too young to fight, Sokka was just old enough in this universe that his father brought him with him when he and the other men went to war. It was still a sharp learning curve for him, but under the mentorship of his father, he's gained strength in confidence in his own budding abilities. However he's throw overboard during a storm, but ends up washing up on Earth Kingdom shores. His goal is to find his father's fleet, but before that, he finds the Avatar and her two companions, and since their goal is to go to the South Pole, he decides his new mission is to join them.
(He and Zuko butt heads at first, but eventually, they learn to get along.)
Katara has disappeared from her village. According to Gran-Gran, she believes that she left to seek out proper waterbending training in the North, but even if that were the case, she should have arrived there before Yue left, but neither she nor Aang hadn't heard a thing about her. So where is Katara?
(She got side-tracked by Jiang and her pirate crew. She's doing great, actually!)
When Toph ran away from home, she decided she'd stay away and began living with the badgermoles instead. Now the Blind Bandit wanders the Earth Kingdom, looking for anyone strong to fight. She earns money by working as a bounty hunter, so a clash with the Avatar and the entourage is in the future...
Suki decides to escort Yue as her personal bodyguard after she helps fend of Zhao's forces on Kyoshi Island. If there's one thing that skirmish has shown her, it's that the Kyoshi Warriors can't afford to stay out of the war any longer... and the Avatar's got the best chance to end it.
(Plus, she and that Water Tribe boy are both pretty cute. She wouldn't mind traveling with them.)
After the disappearance of his nephew, Iroh traveled to the Earth Kingdom to search for him. He always suspected Ozai was behind it, but he had no proof, and therefore could not publicly accuse him. He has settled into the life of a wandering tea merchant, refusing to give up hope on Zuko.

The jump btwn the second to last and last always surprise me whenever I make one of these because I always forget to take snapshots after I start painting. It's always like: oh yeah heres the lineart with some colors- BOOM fully finished✨️
What he's holding are the Austrian imperial scepter and orb, seen below:
Tumblr media
I was going to draw the crown too but decided I don't hate myself that much(maybe some other day), and gave him a golden laurel crown, bcs I'm obsessed with that as a motif, and also its very remincient of the boy king statue that started this whole thing!
There's some symbolism of this, both intentionally but also just historically. I love that the orb represents that the monarch is holding the world in their hand, basically every old monarchy has one of those, and I think it's very cool for symbolism. But also bcs of that, I was forced to basically draw catholic fanart so, you win some you lose some. The star halo above him head is both to reference those religious statues with star crowns(I saw them a lot in Europe and they imprinted onto my brain), as well as: his four championships of course!

Being incredibly self indulgent and sharing shitty afternoon sketches of my ayuu (haha get it) where yuu is miraculous ladybug. Technically they are based on a pre-existing marinette au I've been rotating in my head for literal years but I think they've become enough of their own person (though still totally inspired by her) that I can get away with treating them like a sort of oc/blank slate character.

snippet of a breakfast club au i've been thinking about for ages:
James nodded to Mary, as the girl took a sit beside him. Looking around the room, he understood why. Sitting next to your ex was a better option than having to sit next to these losers all day. He couldn't help grimacing as the blonde girl right in the corner stabbed an orange with a pen, juice leaking across the table and dripping onto the floor. The boy in the leather jacket, sitting on the next table along, laughed and leaned over to push his cigarette into the liquid, leaving it on the table.
Mary waringly smiled at him, "Hi, James", she glanced around, "you meet strange people in detention, huh?"
He nodded, "Yeah. Probably best to stick to ourselves, I suppose."
She nodded back, just as Lily walked through the door.
James snorted, "Why on earth is Evans' here?"
Lily turned, hearing him, and let out a huff before sitting the other side of the room, turning to the cardigan-wearing boy behind her, and starting a conversation.
Mary sighed, as Slughorn walked in, "God, this is going to be such a dull day."
Slughorn smiled out to the students, "Welcome to detention!"
The door banged open, and Slughorn practically jumped in surprise.
"Sorry", Peter mumbled, hurrying in and taking in a seat in the middle of the room.
As soon as he sat down, the boy in the leather jacket spit a ball at his head. Peter ignored him.
Slughorn clapped his hands, "Now that everyone is here, shall we get started?"
"No, sir."
Slughorn frowned.
The boy in the leather jacket grinned, "Well it's just that you phrased it as a question. Is it not a question?"
Slughorn chuckled, "No it is not."
James stood up, "I was wondering if I could use this time to practice on the field? We've got that game coming up next week is all."
Lily stuck her hand up, "Sir, I really don't think it would be appropriate to give students special treatment just because they're on some football team."
Slughorn nodded, "Ah, yes. I suppose Lily is right, you'll have to practice after detention is over, I'm afraid... Now! Today you'll each be writing an essay about who you are, why you're in detention, and how you'll approve you're behaviour from now on."
The blonde girl dropped her head against the desk, a loud bang echoing over the room.
The boy in the leather jacket barked a laugh, "I think you just bored Mckinnon to death, Sir."

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some info on Moonstone
Support, Middle
He was the Prince of a very small kingdom, and is its sole survivor after all of its citizens were shattered at the end of the Dark Flour War. Moonstone is currently trying to recreate the recipe used to bake the founding generation of his kingdom, he hasn't seen success yet.
Moonstone and his Cookies are Gem Cookies (not to be confused with Gem Mermaids, but there may be a connection somewhere), baked with Magic Gems, they live unnaturally long lives, hence the Kingdom being small, there were fewer generations and the kingdom was newly established just prior to the Dark Flour War.
The recipe for Gem Cookies requires magic gemstones, but the gemstones and ore of the surrounding region lost their magic after the ambient corruption from the Dark Flour War seeped into them. Moonstone can't find enough magic gems to make a single living cookie.
Moonstone is the youngest Ancient, and is noticeably naive to the goings ons of a lot of things, granted he's well into his research. He's deeply introverted and hesitates at the idea of meetings with the other Ancients. He's reserved and reclusive, preffering to act alone, but he's loyal and gentle, if a bit quick to leap and assume.
Moonstone doesn't dress in royal attire because he no longer feels like a Prince, everyone from his kingdom is dead and he believes he let everyone down. His old attire, to him, was also stiff and uncomfortable.
Moonstone uses a wide combination of Magic "All for the research!", mainly Light Magic and Darkmoon Magic, but he's also invented a new magic he calls Crimson Moon Magic (Dark Moon Magic + Black Magic). *This was inspired by the Crimson Moon's Magic Rune that appears as debris, I just expanded upon it in my au with my own ideas ♡ I'll expand on it later!
Moonstone's eyes turn red when he uses Crimson Moon Magic!

Hello there! Your jjk fix it au is a really interesting idea! Is it ok for you to tell how and why mahito became an assisted duo with shoko?
For sure! I haven't written or made any other notes on it so I'm just working from a loose idea. If someone wants to write or draw it out, go for it I suppose. (It got long, full text under the cut 😅. Tl;dr is Shibuya Incident goes not as bad as canon, Gojo snags Kenjaku and Mahito for some harebrained experiment to fix Geto and bring him back, Shoko is stuck working with Mahito because she's apparently the school's only medic. Things go better than expected.)
I'd have to re-watch the episodes to get the exact order of events but basically the AU begins around the start of the Shibuya Incident arc: the students and other sorcerers manage to catch up to Gojo and not-Geto in time to keep their teacher from being sealed. Instead, the school team is able to turn things around on the curse gang.
I imagined the turning point is that Yuji and possibly others manage to reach the station in the moments before the Prison Realm actually grabs Gojo, leaving it out in the open to be swiped and repurposed. Freed of his momentary distraction, Gojo does some quick mental math on the situation: his friend's body has been stolen - but his soul seems to be intact, the Prison Realm is within reach, as is the cursed spirit with a technique that can manipulate the body via its soul. He can work with this.
So whoever is there (probably Gojo, Yuji, and Todo?) take advantage of the stunning effect of Gojo's domain and the Prison Realm to get Kenny boxed up and grab Mahito while he's incapacitated (probably literally, since Gojo could probably safely 'touch' him with Infinity running), and drag the both of them back to the school for safekeeping.
Gojo's harebrained scheme is to surgically extract Kenjaku and use Mahito's ability to grow a working brain back into Geto's body. It's weird, but it's no worse than having to kill him all over again. Unfortunately to do this he needs to have Mahito's cooperation, which he initially does not. After some negotiation, Gojo enters into a pact with Mahito for his assistance; roughly a "Help us or we kill you" arrangement, since the school staff can guess that not-Geto was almost certainly planning to eat Mahito anyway.
Since Mahito's technique has extensive medical application, he ends up working alongside Shoko for the next little while. With supervision from Gojo at first, to ensure he behaves and to check up on Geto regularly. But the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident still needs attention so Gojo finds himself drawn away more often than not, leaving Shoko alone to deal with Mahito's shenanigans and care for a recovering Geto. Thankfully Shoko has enough experience dealing with annoying teenage boys (and Gojo) that she knows how to handle Mahito's childish temperament. She's the right mix of no-nonsense and easygoing to handle him and they eventually form a more cooperative working relationship. I imagine Mahito is one of those "problem children" that would thrive with clear instruction and strong boundaries. He'd be a good worker, he just needs someone to keep him in line.
If I do end up writing this in some capacity, my impulse right now is to make it 50% heavy SatoSugu angst, as Geto recovers in the care of his mortal enemies and the one person who never gave up on him; and 50% office comedy with Shoko and Mahito getting acclimated to one another and taking care of Geto and the rest of the cast as they heal up from the incident.

Pet Zoo AU:
Quick question, what was Zhao’s and Aunt Lisa’s intial reaction towards Ik bringing home 7 animals with 2 of them being animals you would never see a normal person have. Like there’s no way they were instantly fine with this many animals since yk animals take a lot of time and effort to care and this is also the brothers as well, what did Ik do to convince them to not call animal control on them?
(Also for some reason i imagine Mammon’s and the geography teacher’s rivalry to be like funny small wars against each other. Mammon steal their peanuts, the teacher make’s a trap and Mammon falling for it (but then get saved by Ik), Mammon get revenge and steal something else than the peanuts, the teacher then make’s a ANOTHER trap and Mammon falling for it again. And the cycle repeats)
P.s. turns out, Diluc’s and Yanfei’s VA actually voiced two main characters from The Amazing Digital Circus respectively. The funny part is they voiced the most mentally unstable characters.
- 🐧 Anon
i feel like the brothers sorta... trickle in, so it's less of a shock to the system - first ik shows up with a crow and zhao's like "hmm. i don't think they do that usually" but he just sorta forgets about it, next thing he knows the crow's brought home a peacock and then a snake and then a rabbit and so on
and now the crow's started bringing home cash from who knows where, is it exchanging goods and services?? has he been unknowingly embroiled in an avian laundering scheme? in the end he just sorta... goes with it. for some reason he gets the feeling the animals know more than he does
now lisa doesn't hear anything about this, so one day she walks in to have some tea with her good friend and sees these seven animals just chilling and is absolutely FLOORED. "zhao this is madness what the fuck is going on here??!!?!" and he's like "...i don't know i'm just glad my daughter's happy :("
lisa's first instinct would definitely be to call up a shelter or something, but ik's so adamant that all the animals are very polite and they're actually super helpful and well-behaved and really really clever actually, she swears the cat knows how to read. lisa doesn't believe her until she witnesses the snake slither across the room to turn the tv on, change the channel to some colourful cartoon, then slither back to his box by the window
mammon and the geography teacher would have a tom-and-jerry type relationship.... one day another teacher breaks the geography teacher's favourite globe and mammon decides to call a truce for long enough to get back at them, then it's BACK to the comedic chasing-in-circles

What If...?
Enrico never died. Timoteo managed to keep one son alive. And though his favored one is gone, at least Enrico remains. As such, Enrico becomes Vongola 10th and the Ninth finds bliss in retirement.
For the first couple of days, at least. Within the month, he was bored. the Ninth hadn't expected this. In hindsight it made sense, but, for once: Timoteo. Was. Bored. When he wasn't spending every waking moment thinking about one thing or the other, he had nothing else to do.
Of course, he went back to the Iron Fort. Just to see how his boy was holding out (he didn't have to, no, but he needed to.) Enrico did not appreciate the gesture. Ninth had spent the last years agnozing over who would properly lead the family and now, he's butting in where he shouldn't be.
Timoteo thinks Enrico is doing a terrible job. But Enrico won't listen. For a while, he briefly considers helping Xanxus, regardless of adoption, have the position. But Xanxus is too strong, too hardy. Too much like Enrico.
What Timoteo needs is someone... nicer, naiver, more innocent. Iemitsu had a son like that right?
Wouldn't that be fun?
[Plain text: "What If...?" in large red text. /End PT]
