Living the with the rogues made him soft(er) - or, at the very least, unaware of his current surroundings. Something about being with people who actually accepted him helped him feel calm and content for once in a very long while. And it was a good thing, really.

Ultimately though, it meant that during downtime, he wasn't watching himself (or his surroundings) with the usual critical, anxious eye. The knocks on the door went on unanswered for a moment as he continued banging away, only lowering his wrench when he finally heard the knocks and the unmistakeable voice of a chaos witch threatening to come in through the vents.

Toby well remembered the last time she did that - she looked like a Varelsi nightmare come to life, limbs spilling out of an impossibly small hatch while her left eye glowed an unnatural intensity. It took Toby three days to stop jumping at every sound.

"No wait! I'm coming, please don't do that!" He called out, hoping it was enough to placate her. He hurriedly rushed to the door, pushing a lowered panel that caused the door to slid open. He gave what was hopefully a cheerful, totally-not-fearful smile. "Can I help you, Miss Orendi?"

Three of Orendi’s fists knocked the workshop door in a patternless flurry. In the forth, she clutched a piece of paper covered in what appeared to be random, bright crayon scribbles to a casual onlooker.

Which they were. But they were also her designs for a mech suit that she wanted the Rogues’ resident mechanic to help her build. Because Toby’s mech was all kinds of cool and she wanted one too. Stomping on people looked like tons of fun.

“Toby,” Orendi called between knocks.

The loud noise of whatever loud mech-building-related thing Toby was doing behind the door didn’t falter, so she knocked louder.

“Toooooooooobyyyyy! … You got three seconds ‘til I come in through the vents. I know you don’t like it when I do that, Tobes; don’t make me do it! I'mma count down now, huggabutt, so that door better open soon or else VENTS. ONE…!”

EDIT:L oh dang forgot to put in an explanation here: basically the first three people on the list are the grand prize winners, with the rest of the numbers being the runner up prizes, roughly up to number 39. the grand prize winners would have the option of also grabbing the runner up prizes, otherwise ill just be sending those sets and giving the runner up prizes to those beyond 39 >w<b the entire process might take a few days to sort (in between uni and work and real life thingos).
