SQUINTING AS THE SUN BORE down upon the bounty hunter, the little town of SWEETWATER came into view. It was his first stop of the morning, before finding whatever bounty was worth his time and venturing out into the canyons to hunt the bastard down. Giving his faithful steed a good clap on his hulking shoulder, Daryl clicked his tongue and gave the reins a slight tug towards the left. Callum whipped his tail and WHINNIED as he broke into a light canter down the trail and towards the little town that sat squat at the bottom of the valley.

It was bustling this morning with NEWCOMERS climbing down the steps of the locomotive, gawking at the citizens making their way for business. The bounty hunter scoffed, wrinkling his nose as Callum came to a plodding halt at one of the posts. Slipping out of the saddle, boots making a soft THUD into the dirt ground, Daryl busied himself with rummaging through one of the saddlebags for his coin purse and a short list of supplies he was requiring.

Heading down to the local post office, he was in the process of reading down his list when a woman halted him in his path. Drawing a brow up in confusion, he glanced quickly at the parchment paper she offered. Scratching at his temple, thumbing the brim of his hat up, he drew an eye to the woman unsure as to what it was she SOUGHT.

“Ma’am,” he began a little unsure as to how to address his next question, “Yer wantin’ me ta find THIS man? And fer what is he convicted of committin’ against ya?”

       “Yes.”

        The word left her lips slowly and with uncertainty, but not from her own decision. It was his confusion that made her unsure of whether or not yes was the right answer. “Ah-against me?” Looking at the poster once again, her brows pulled together in thought. There was no good way to explain her real intentions for seeking out a thief and a murderer. And she doubted any of the host, even with their 'here to please you' programming, would have been oblivious enough to be coaxed into seeking out danger for a ridiculous reason such as a conversation.

       No, she had to come up with something solid. Persuasive. Restless fingers fiddled with the edge of the paper as she though up an excuse. Tearing off tiny fragments and letting them flutter lightly to the ground around her feet. “He's taken something important from me,” Maeve finally said, lifting her head to look at him once again. “ And I would like to get it back.” What may have allegedly been stolen was still lost to her mind. Only to be thought of when questioned further.

        It wasn't until after she has finished speaking that she noticed the list in his hand. “I'm sorry, I've interrupted something.” Lips pressed in a line, she pointed a slender finger at his list . Maeve was aware her interruption meant very little in this world as most guests interfered with the lives of hosts, but didn't make her feel any less guilty for her actions. “We could discuss this later if you’re busy. Or If you don't mind the company I could join you?”

    necromancer’s typically worked in private as they typically worked later than usual. with time pushing way into the early morning, he never thought anyone would be lingering around a graveyard besides him and maybe the ghouls; but, the presence he feels was not anything of a ghoul. he sighs heavy, dark hues closing tight as he attempts to hold back the irritation boiling within him. the one night ANYONE can choose to take a midnight stroll, and they thought tonight? he really was not in any mood to fight, but with the scene unfolded before him, anyone would question.

    ‘— can’t you, like, fuck off?’ childish, then again nadav was known to be quite so. ‘I am halfway of pulling this dead man’s spirit out, and you just ruined the ritual.’ more like: great fucking job! he was irritated, wasn’t that obvious?

        It was on those nights that sleep seemed to evade her that Maeve found herself outside and on the move. Wandering aimlessly through empty cemeteries and enjoying the calming nature of her surroundings. Or nearly empty. Even in death, those who laid in the ground had pull to her interests. Wondering who they were, what their life was like while they were alive. Some she heard whispering incomprehensibly into the darkness. Others were more troubling as their moans of anguish echoed though the silence.

      However, above the whispers and the moans, there was something more unsettling about the area. Its usual atmosphere disturbed by the presence of another. From a distance she could see a figure. With curiosity, she moved closer only to see that the anomaly was a familiar face poking and prodding at the dead with his abilities. “Well, that's rude,” she said, stepping forward, hands promptly places behind her back. His irritation didn’t dissuade her. He was a friend, sort of, and she'd stay and pester. “ My apologize, I didn't mean to ruin anything.” with another step, she looked from the grave to the necromancer. “ I don't think he wants to go.”
