About Me

I was born in Cheshire in December 1997 and I love in North Wales. Since I was little, I always knew I had a passion for being creative. It started with my love for Bratz Dolls. I’d always draw them from looking at the packaging and books I owned. Art was my favourite subject all throughout primary school and high school. I went on to do Art and Design for my GCSEs and A-Levels. After passing my exams, I went on to do a 1 year Art and Design course in Yale College (Coleg Cambria in Wrexham). It was a foundation course that would prepare me for starting University a year later. I am now close to finishing my degree in Graphic Design at Glyndwr University. 

I don’t have a consistent style when it comes to work and projects as I’m always experimenting and I’m always inspired by different artists. When it comes to sectors of Graphic Design, I am interested in editorial, illustration, print and layout. I’d love to do projects with books, film, television and music. I experiment in both traditional and digital. I only started doing stuff digitally a few years ago when I received an iPad for Christmas, unless you could count editing photos. Traditional media is a timeless thing which will never go out of date. Digital media is still a new thing in this day and age, but it shows how the world is evolving with technology. Community based projects is one of the things I would like to do in the future as they raise awareness of issues in the world. How the mind works is interesting, and the way people use past experiences to create something thought provoking is amazing.

This was going to be my entry to this year’s Penguin Random House Student Design Awards. Bill Bryson’s A Short History of Nearly Everything was the Non-Fiction category. I absolutely loved designing this because I’m a huge fan of space and it kind of reminded me of time I entered my own design for A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. I felt like I could improve on my experience.
